DORM PETS (with my TWST OCs)

Each dorm has an unofficial pet. Not all of them are allowed to be there, but are kept anyway.

Heartslabyul:

Loui- Goat

Alphonse adopted the goat during the start of his third year. Francois tried to stop him from keeping Loui in the dorm, but Alphonse convinced him otherwise. They wanted an excuse to keep him, so Francois went through all of the rules. He didn’t find anything about keeping a goat, however he did find one about a sheep. Now whenever Riddle comes around they just put Loui in a sheep costume and try their best to gaslight convince Riddle that he’s a normal sheep.

Savannaclaw:

Princess- Cat

Princess belongs to Ishir and oh boy does her name fit. She is spoiled endlessly by him. Whatever Princess wants Princess gets. Sometimes when she brings a dead bird or a rodent Ishir will taxidermy it like a trophy. Nagini hates this and thinks it’s creepy. Nagini doesn’t like Princess because he thinks she’s too spoiled. They are enemies, but they will tolerate each other for the sake of Ishir.

Octavinelle:

Marina- Black Piranha

Marina is the beloved pet of Morgan. He makes sure that her tank has plenty of room to swim around. Claude and Derek love to watch her swim. They both love how sparkly she is. Tuck likes to compare teeth with her. They all feed her leftovers from Mostro Lounge (as long as it’s safe for her).

Scarabia:

Connie- Parrot

Connie belongs to Kalim, but Abdul also helps take care of him. Jamil won’t allow any pets in the dorm. He already has too much to deal with. They are both hiding hiding him from Jamil and so far they’re going strong. Abdul is really good with birds and has taught Connie lots of cool tricks.

Pomefiore:

Dino- Lizard

Sunny has been taking care of Dino since he entered NRC. Absolutely loves the little guy. The only problem is that Gigi hates lizards. He’s scared of them. No doubt that he would go tell Vil without a second thought. Sunny showed Dino to Harry and Patchwork under the condition that they would not tell Gigi. They both love Dino.

Ignihyde:

B0E-(Robot) Dog

B0E is an invention made by Neander. He is highly self aware artificial intelligence. He acts like a real dog, but there’s never any mess! B0E is Neander’s pride and joy. Ares likes to sew little outfits for him. Janus has shown B0E on his livestreams a few times. He just wants to share with the world his brother’s cool invention.

Diasomnia:

Charolette- Spider

Charolette has been Cade’s pet spider even before he came to NRC. The entire Trick-or-Treat trio loves her to their hearts’ content. They even made her their official group mascot. She usually just chills in Cade’s pocket.

I think stepping into an actual church is ok, it's basically a big stone house but the stones are very fancy. Touching the actual artifacts are what would be harmful though, like the holy water, icons, crosses and anything silver ! Then again it's a mythical creature and it's story is open for any interpretation really :)

Thoughts on Jack's dream(MASSIVE main story spoilers ahead)

JACKS DREAM got me by the thROAT bc the more I analyze it the more angsty it feels and I alreadfy sobbed n cried and I must SCREAAAAAAAAMMMMMMMMM He's dreaming of the magift tournament but basically if..... if Leona's plan never took place....... If Leona actually WERE the hero Jack has idolized...... 😭

First I gotta take note dosodkgkfdgjdfkghfdjk hOW JACK YEARNS FOR HIS SENPAI'S PRAISE AND AFFECTION 🥺🥺truly the epitome of loyal, puppy-like behavior..... It doesn't take much for him to be happy… He yearns for the respect and acknowledgement of those he admires. He craves respect and recognition, but not only that—he genuinely wants to see those he admires thrive.

Seems to me that what Jack longs for most is a sense of belonging within a pack. He’s not just devoted to those he holds in high regard; he also desires to be cared for in return (This becomes even more apparent when he asks Ruggie to act as a mentor or older-brother figure in his dorm uniform vignette.) Jack's actions reflect his innate wolf nature—a being built for connection, loyalty, and mutual protection. No matter how much he tells himself or others how he prefers to handle things on his own… We can clearly see that Jack is happier when he’s part of a team, fighting alongside companions who’ve got his back. It’s the dynamic balance of trust: to protect and be protected, to rely on others and let them rely on him in return. It deeply resonates with the essence of wolves.

We often hear the phrase “lone wolf,” an expression of grudging admiration. A lone wolf is often viewed as a rugged individualist, uncompromising and independent, driven to forge his own path, unfettered by the sentimental need for companionship. In reality, few people would ever want to live this way—and, as it turns out, few wolves would either. Wolves, males and females alike, may go through periods alone, but they’re not interested in lives of solitude. A lone wolf is a wolf that is searching, and what it seeks is another wolf. Which is why the factual reality cuts so deeply.

After Ortho wakes Jack up (in oUTER SPACE DKJGDSDKFJGKJS that was so adventitious but so cool.....) and Jack falls down like a meteorite (ALSO SUPER COOL BUT WTF.....) Fake!Leona and Fake!Ruggie rush to his side, Leona softly reassures him, saying it’s a relief he’s uninjured and advising him not to be so reckless while Ruggie says ''You're a promising rookie. Our treasure.'' (I started crying here.)

Jack breaks into a bitter, despairing laugh as the truth crashes down on him. The sincerity and warmth his “upperclassmen” showed in that moment? It wasn’t real. It never actually happened. Jack recounts his excitement when he first joined Savanaclaw, eager to fight alongside the dormmates he admired so much. He talks about how he had watched Leona’s play three years ago—over and over again, captivated by it. He reveals the painful truth of discovering their wicked plan, the frustration of being unable to snap them out of it, and the overwhelming helplessness that consumed him.

I gotta say, I'm SO HAPPY that Jack's feelings on the events of book 2 were finally properly addressed now (cause let's be real, book 2 uhh... did kinda a shitty job at this 💀 Neither the narrative nor the fandom really took the time to explore the emotional impact it had on him, which is such a disservice to his character.)

Think about it from Jack’s perspective. He was obsessed with Leona's play 3 years ago, watching it over and over again. In his eyes, Leona was a hero, someone worth idolizing to the point of projecting an idealized image of him: an earnest, hardworking, honorable leader. When Jack finally had the chance to join Savanaclaw and be part of the dorm he had admired so deeply, what was his reality? Ostracization, bullying and even physical violence from some of his dorm mates (as shown in Leona's dorm uniform vignette) And worst of all? Jack was met with his idol’s true, treacherous side—dirty tactics, underhanded schemes, and a willingness to harm others to achieve his goals. When Jack tried to confront them about it, he wasn’t met with understanding or respect. Instead, he was called a “filthy traitor” and a “spoiled brat”—by the very person he admired most. It’s a complete dismantling of everything Jack believed in, everything he worked for.

It's a shame the game and manga did not give enough weight to Jack’s feelings, (the novel seems to do a better job at it though) but now it’s clear just how much this hurt him. It wasn’t just a setback; it was a deep, personal betrayal that shook him to his core.

He’s only a first-year. Beneath his gruff demeanor and physical strength, Jack is still a boy—pure-hearted, earnest, and full of hope. All he wanted was to stand beside those he respected most but what he got instead was disappointment, betrayal, and rejection. To idolize someone so deeply, only to have that image crushed in the most personal, gut-wrenching way........ Savanaclaw doesn't deserve him 💔

And we get this utterly precious moment where Jack praises Yuu and Grim for having guts and persevering through everything and he PETS GRIM'S HEAD............ HE DIDN'T NEED TO COMFORT THEM BUT AWWAAHBBBAYYAWYWYHAWWABYWAWAYAA

I can't wait to see what role he'll play in Leona's dream 😌 Jack’s arc feels like it’s finally getting the weight it deserves… 🙏🙏🙏

Malleus 19

Summary: You're sick as a dog and all you wanna do is lay in bed. The little dragon Malleus, on the other hand, wants you to entertain him.

(Wanted to write about a little cutie. So here you go.)

Ough, you are in a pit of muggy heat and horrible, horrible mucus.

Why did you go out? Why did you decide to go to the festival on Kalim's insistence even though you knew you were coming down with something bad? Past you was a fool, and now you were paying the price for it.

You felt gross. You are gross. Ugh. Nothing to do but wait for this to pass over, and maybe take some meds if it becomes too much, or at least have something before bed so you don't wake up in the middle of the night.

You sighed, coughed when you breathed too quickly, then blindly reached out to the water you kept on your nightstand. Your fingers hit something cold, and you grasped it tightly without a second thought.

Squeak!

…that's not a sound a water bottle should make. That sounded more like a fart than a squeak.

You reluctantly lifted your head, then blinked at the glaring glowing green eyes. He opened his mouth and let a flicker of fire tickle your skin. Whoops.

"Oh," you loosened your grip and Malleus spread his wings, hovering in the air, "Though you were my water. Didn't mean to."

It's right behind him, shining beautifully in the light but, ugh, you'll have to stretch yourself to get it and you really don't want to move. Your muscles were sore from all the walking alongside the fact that your sick.

"Ugh. Well, do whatever you like, Malleus. I'm not feeling the best."

You sniffled and roughly cleared your throat as best you could. You didn't succeed, and now you have more mucus coating your lungs. Breathing is possible, but so very uncomfortable. Horrible. Horrendous.

You heard a few flaps and felt a small dip in your pillow. Two tiny hands patted at your head, then started to shove. You shook your head and flipped yourself to the other side of the bed. You'll get your water later, you're getting sleepy again. Besides, at least you have some soup to look forward to from Crowley. Kalim wanted to take cooking duties but he doesn't exactly have the best idea on what makes a good sick meal.

Small steps traveled over your plush pillows, and now the little dragon was pushing at your shoulder.

Ah, he wants you to get up, for whatever little dragon fae activities he has planned for the day.

"Don't," you lightly pushed him away, "I need sleep."

Little claws hooked onto your blanket, and a small body heaved itself onto your neck. Cool scales swept over your face, tickled your nose, and you shot right up to scramble for a tissue.

You let out a colossal sneeze. "Ough, thank you." You said to no one in particular, glad that you can actually breath again.

You crumpled up the tissue, tossed it into the trashcan, then finally noticed the spread eagle, frozen Malleus. He always had a set of wide eyes that looked at the world with a curious wonder, and if not mystified, then he's usually not thinking anything at all. Empty, empty eyes, but oh so expressive.

Right now, Malleus was looking at you with shock.

"What? Never seen a sick person before?" Your voice was still nasally as ever, but it's clearer than before, at least. "You've been around Silver. Shouldn't he have been sick once or twice?"

Another tickle bloomed from the back of your nose and you grasped another tissue. You scrunched up, ready to let another sneeze rip out, but it faded away as quickly as the wind when you saw Malleus dash under your pillows. Every part of him was swallowed. All you could see was his eerie green eyes.

You blinked, then something clicked. "…ah, my sneezes scare you."

Makes sense, you don't bother being quiet since you've lived here along for a little too long. You get used to having nobody over, so you've stopped being aware of just how loud you can be.

You blew your nose and sighed in relief. "If you want to go home, by all means. Because I'm not gonna stop sneezing anytime soon."

Malleus gave the littlest of growls, evidently annoyed. You squashed him under the pillow he took refuge in.

"Goodness, aren't you just the most handsome boy!"

You coo at the purring bundle of fluff sprawled out at your feet, rolling happily amongst the leaves that have settled on the cobblestone pathway up to Ramshackle. Your fingers thread through a black-furred tummy, nearly caught by the playful cat that wriggles excitedly each time he catches you on your way home.

Your companion, who you were about to set off on a walk with, is slightly less pleased. He says nothing, but his lips are pulled into a pout. Tsunotarou seems to be more focused on you than the cat you're showering with affection. Something unfamiliar tugs at his chest. A childlike envy that a prince ought to be ashamed of having.

But something just felt wrong with your words. More specifically, the subject to which they were directed.

The heir to Briar Valley is cautious to reign in his emotions. That doesn't stop the light drizzle that begins to pour. You, ever-observant, are broken from your trance with the playful cat and look up to him. Your smile falters from worry- then quirks back into place as you snicker, noting the turn of his lips.

"Tsunotarou- are you jealous?"

"No."

Thunder booms. You can't help but laught at how silly the situation is, and the charm of your delight- no matter it's direction at him- makes Tsunotarou's chest flutter. He thinks to protest, insisting you not tease him, but thinks he'd be sad if you stopped, too.

"Sorry, I know I'm supposed to be spending time with you right now. Shall we get going?" Your consideration warms his heart. His tantrumous moods never last long when you're involved. Your company melts any dissatisfaction or distress he has away like his own fiery breath melts ice cream in his mouth. The delight thereafter is similar as well. Better, maybe. Definitely.

"You have done nothing wrong," he answers, smooth and cordial, relieved that you've given him a way out of the question so easily. The sun shower is over in moments as steady conversation settles in.

A troublesome little cat trails along behind, not quite ready to give up his source of affection to a dragon.

THE BOYZ🥶💯🔥—THE FIRST YEARS:

ADEUCE + GRIM: Dumb, dumber, dumbest and dumd spelled with double d. The three of them would rather take a bullet to the head than admit that they care for each other a lot. Charlie would say they love them from the moon and back and still take the bullet to the head just for fun! (it's not like they could die anyways. They're a toon gosh darn it!!) No matter what the situation is, they'll always have each other's backs—even if they complain and whine along the way!

JACK: Charlie absolutely admires Jack's strong sense of justice! After book 2, Charlie felt bad that Jack watched his role model be an asshole so they tried to be a good role model for him but they're literally no better than Leona. Jack appreciates it though. Jack's wolf form reminds Charlie of a puppy he and his brother used to take care of while they were living on the streets.

EPEL: Epel is ecstatic to find someone who shared the same problem as him—being mistaken for a girl. Every time someone mistakes both of them as a "she", Epel is the first to correct them—saying that both of them are the "most manliest men you've ever seen!" Charlie dgaf abt it but whatever makes him happy. Epel is also a bit jealous that Charlie doesn't have a problem with being perceived as feminine.

SEBEK: Sebek looks down on Charlie because he thinks they're uneducated (which is true because they've never been to a school before) and that they should pursue their educational prowess seriously. Despite the rude and almost offensive remarks, Charlie admires him for his hardworking, honest nature and loyalty to his young master! Even though Sebek claims to dislike them, they're the first person he goes to if the Diasomnia gang is not there to ramble about Malleus. They even occasionally praised Malleus along with him!

THE UNEXPECTED FRIENDSHIP—VIL:

Being in the same club as him, Vil didn't expect for the both of them to get along so well.

At first, Vil thought that Charlie wasn't going to take this club seriously; thinking that Charlie will just play around the set and make a mess but was taken back by surprise to see that they has a bit of knowledge on cinematography as well as their skills with a camera. Charlie on the other hand, was used to being the one behind the camera and was the one who helped their ex-girlfriend become famous.

Charlie's weird and quirky antics as well as their love for beauty reminds him of Rook, while Vil's strict yet passionate personality reminds them of their ex-girlfriend who is a model/actor just like him.

THE BLUNT BANGS FREAKS—ROOK:

Speaking of Rook, Charlie became photography buddies with Rook after accidentally bumping into each other in a bush while trying to take pictures of the other students. With their forces combined, the students of NRC could never catch a break from their constant terrorizing pestering.

Charlie thinks Rook's flamboyant and dramatic antics are hilarious while Rook finds Charlie's toon body fascinating and would sometimes use them as a test subject for whatever he's got in store for them. Unfortunately, Charlie can only match 45% of Rook's freak so they find it super weird. (but who are they to judge him?)

RIVALS OR BUDDIES?—RUGGIE:

At first glance, Ruggie expected Charlie to be naive or overly friendly with the way they treat others and thought it would be funny to treat himself to a nice lunch with their money (that he was definitely just borrowing). Bumping into them and snatching their wallet, he looked inside only to find it empty with trash inside and moths flying out of it.

Sighing, he decided to buy something from the vending machine, only to find his wallet missing. From the corners of his eyes, he saw a very smug Charlie, with his wallet on one hand, and munching on a donut on the other.

And from that day on, both of them will try and outwit each other. Not only that, they bonded instantly due to their similar upbringing growing up. Occasionally, one of them will treat the other to lunch (with someone else's money of course)

TWO GOLDEN RETRIEVERS AND A BLACK CAT—THE SHROUD SIBLINGS:

Extroverted, loud and optimistic—everything in a person that is on Idia's avoid list. Idia finds Charlie intimidating and would rather jump off a cliff than interact with someone as lively as them.

While for Charlie, they're really fond of Idia since he reminds them of their younger brother a lot—especially his anxious nature and his trouble with making friends. Despite their personalities being different from night to day, if given the chance, they would definitely be friends.

Ortho is glad that someone other than him likes his older brother. Ortho tries to get his brother to befriend Charlie with him protesting, saying that Charlie is basically the "Anti-Idia". As for Charlie, they enjoy talking to Ortho and treats him as if he's their own younger brother. Charlie dotes on him often, almost to the point of the first years thinking it's plain favoritism. (Charlie feels incredibly homesick every time they see the siblings with each other)

THREE MAFIA BUSINESS MEN VS STREET SCAMMER—THE OCTOTRIO:

NO NO NO! BIG ON CHARLIE'S NO NO LIST. Charlie may have trouble with solving 76 + 19 but they recognise a scam when they see it. After all, they're a money-grubber too! Despite knowing that Azul is a sucker for capitalism, Charlie sees Azul as someone who worked to the top, disciplined, organized, and efficient in their work; Jade, a person who is passionate about his interests and land life; Floyd, someone who dances on the beat of his own drum. But if Charlie admires them, they wouldn't dare go near them even with a 10ft pole!

FLOYD: SHRIMPYYYY!!!! He finds Charlie super interesting! He wants to see how hard he can squeeze them until their eyes pop out of their head. If Charlie ever turned pocket sized, he'd try to chew them like a dog toy. In Charlie's words: "Floyd's like a runaway car with no driver; unpredictable and chaotic. It's fun to watch and guess what it's gonna hit from afar but the moment it starts to swerve towards you that's when you start running."

JADE: Jade thinks Charlie's an interesting critter. He enjoys messing with them because they make an amusing face when they're scared. When Azul pissed him off, he'll ask Charlie to cook something up for Azul and make Charlie watch him eat it. Azul feels pressured because Charlie's giving him puppy-dog eyes while Jade is giving him the most shit-eating smirk ever. Azul fainted after smelling it and was sent to the infirmary that day.

AZUL: Azul considers Charlie to be a good worker in the Montrol Lounge. Charlie's friendly and outgoing attitude brings in a lot of customers, they're efficient in their work, and they're able to carry 10 plates on each arms along with a plate on their head without ever dropping it. But they are completely BANNED from entering the kitchen. He even made a custom metal sign for it! Every now and then, Azul lets Charlie perform their "magic tricks" (normal toon physics) in the lounge.

VICTIMS OF CONSTANT ANNOYANCE—RIDDLE, JAMIL & LEONA:

RIDDLE: If Riddle had a "no lash out" streak, it'll go back to zero every time Charlie feels mischievous. Charlie wants him to lighten up a bit while Riddle wants them to take life a bit more seriously. On rare occasions, Charlie buys pastries from a cafe for Riddle as an apology. At one point, they bought a cake similar to this one.

JAMIL: Charlie sorta understands what it's like wanting to be free, to fly away from the bird cage where they force you to sing but everything that Charlie does reminds him of Kalim. So Charlie keeps quiet. But Charlie being Charlie, they can't keep quiet for too long. Sometimes, Jamil contemplates on whether or not he should knock their teeth in.

LEONA: A total pain in the ass. Leona fully believes that Charlie was dropped on the head as a kid. While Charlie thinks he's super cool like a cool older brother—especially during book 3. If you ever see Leona smirking in his sleep, just so you know it's probably about punching Charlie in the face. Nobody tells Charlie this otherwise it'll get to his head but Leona finds them a biiiit endearing, like this much🤏 Their cheerful attitude reminds him of a certain lion cub.

LATE NIGHT YAPPERS—MALLEUS:

In almost every twst universe, there's a friendship between the prefect of the Ramshackle dormitory and the Prince of Briar Valley and of course so does this universe. Both of them don't mind the other rambling a lot since they're both good listeners. He's never seen anyone smile so brightly at him before. How can someone act so comfortable with him? Don't you know he's the future King of as well as one of the most powerful mages in the world? And yet Charlie treats him as any other person. Not as the Prince of his kingdom but as an equal instead. Just another student. A friend.

Talking with Malleus feels rejuvenating for Charlie. A calm slow walk around the campus is just what they need after their usual fast-paced chaotic schedule. They also find Malleus' sense of humour funny. His pulse rushes, his head reeling and his face flushes every time he makes them laugh. (definitely not because of his smaallll tiny itty bitty crush....noo not that at all)

TRIVIA:

- Their name "Sue Pierre Calli Francis Lizzie Lexis Ally Dokken" is a reference to the word "Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious" from Mary Poppins.

- I picked the name Charlie because of the song "Charlie's inferno" and because they were originally a genderbend version of Charlie from back when Hazbin Hotel pilot just aired but I liked it so much that I made them into an oc. And as for jackyl, it just rhymes with ramshackle 🤷

- On their second week in NRC, they pickpocketed around 70 people.

- Idia reminds him of his younger brother.

- Charlie's gloves are a reference to those old rubber-hose cartoons.

- Charlie can stretch all the way up to the Stratosphere but he will feel the effects of ultraviolet radiation.

- Charlie's bag can hold up to 5000 items.

- Charlie used to date a hot celebrity and no one believes him (a lil nod to Roger Rabbit and Jessica Rabbit)

At this point I'm just waiting for Yuu to give Rollo a smooch, since he's now held hostage living in the guest room. Doubt he has the nerve though. 😅 Maybe give one to the mini Rollos on the forehead, that seems more plausible. (Feel free to ignore this, I'm just expressing my thoughts.)

Lmao it would be a miracle if he even managed to express his interest voluntarily. He's absolutely a coward :)

Though he absolutely gives smooches on the mini rollo's foreheads ! He sees them as pets kind of and just hugs them or gives them a peck on the head like you would do with your cat or dog whenever you see them. Might have accidentally done that in Rollo's presence just because he's so used to it.... Really?? In front of his croissant ???!

And proceed to make everything worse by trying to justify it, then avoid eye contact for the rest of the day

Erin Tsum!

Erin is from the lovely @cheekinpermission

Since she doesn't have a Ramshackle Dorm Uniform like Kat, I gave her a chill looser outfit I believe I've seen her in before. (Story under cut)

Erin had just been kicked out of the Heartslabyul hedgehog pen and was sullenly walking home when a bright light nearly blinded her. She looked up to see a portal opening above Ramshackle dorm, and something flying out of it.

She immediately locked her eyes on one with cute ears and a wagging tail, perhaps even cuter than a hedgehog, that was falling towards the main gate to the school. She followed its path, only for a chittering to make her stop and look down. Skittering towards her was another tsum, with beautiful red hair held up with a golden pin.

The tsum squealed fearfully and immediately clung to her, looking back.

Erin looked into the bushes for what had scared it, but there was nothing there. She picked up the tsum.

Erin and her tsum looked at each other with big adoring eyes. This was possibly the best surprise ever. This thing was so adorable. Erin hugged it tight.

The tsum squirmed a bit but eventually relented to Erin's soft grip and gentle cooing. Erin pet its soft hair, and the tsum simply sighed as it realized this was going to be how its entire visit went.

Erin decided to bring this tsum to the headmaster, but as she approached, loud crashing sounds came from his office, and she opted to wait outside.

Sitting with her Tsum, Erin gently took the hairpin out and began restyling the tsum's hair. It had gotten messed up, be that in the fall, in its run from what had been chasing it, or from Erin's petting, she was unsure, but either way it was an opportunity.

Erin delighted in arranging the red curls of the small precious bean, and when she had finished, she delicately set it on her shoulder. "ready to go face the headmage?" She asked it.

The tsum squeaked, a determined look on his face.

As she entered the room, the had to shut the door immediately behind her to a scream of "DONT LET IT GET OUT!" And observed the disheveled state of the room and the headmaster as another tsum bounced around the room. However many of these there were, they were certainly going to cause an adventure.

Her own tsum let out a squeak of fear at the sight of the boys accompanying the other tsum, and crawled into her hair, hiding among the red curls. Erin snuck a glance in the headmage's mirror. It was adorable! But regardless, she had to focus. She turned her attention to the headmage.
