Annual Update 2024

Alright everyone! New year, new updates for all my stuff!

Starting with ...

AtDFF and AYC

(The new signatures for my main art, AtDFF, and AYC)

As some, and by that I mean most of you have probably noticed, I rebooted AtDFF... again. I technically started a revamp all the way back in 2020 where I was redrawing the older updates to better match the current style and reformat the asks and text for better readability, but that didn't impede on the main updates (well, besides putting more onto mine and the rest of the team's work load.)

The Reboot

This past year though, I made the decision to completely reboot the comic for a few reasons. One was an attempt to renew my motivation, another was wanting to rework some of the lore, yet another was being inspired by @askfallenroyalty to remake the comic and post to ComicFury, but I think the main factor was... I wasn't all that happy with it. I think I kept comparing it to other comics, especially Fallen Royalty, which is my own issue, please don't go blaming anyone else. I knew I could do better, especially after over 5 years working on this, but now looking back, part of me feels that, rebooting it again is, in a way, diminishing those years. Even with the 2020 revamp, prior to it you could go through the updates and really look at how my art has progressed, and though true you can still scroll and find the old updates, it's just... not quite the same. Same can be said for the 2023 reboot.

Does that mean I'm going back on the reboot? No. I already have the next updates planned (I just haven't had a chance to work on them that often) and I really like the new lore of the world that I've come up with. I just think this will be the last time I ever reboot the comic. Whatever happens, happens, and I need to just roll with it. Even if what happens is our little roadtrip getting derailed into a corn field again, lol.

Comic Fury and New Comic?

With that said, what do I have in store for the new reboots of AtDFF and AYC? (yes AYC got rebooted too, I just haven't posted the first update like I did with AtDFF) Well, I mentioned a Comic Fury, which surprise. Both AtDFF and AYC have their own Comic Fury pages now! Don't worry, I still plan on posting to Tumblr as well, but now you can also find them on Comic Fury. Along with another comic I'm planning to do (eventually), Undertale-ish: The Comic. Ever wonder what Ish Frisk's journey through the Underground was like? Want to see what happened in most (not all) of their 800 runs? Want to see this child grapple with their self insecurities, perfectionism, and the responsibility of having full control over time and an entire civilization's lives in the palm of their hand? Want to see Chara as a ghost? Well that's what you'll get with Undertale-ish: The Comic! Coming I don't know since I such at scheduling and time management for these things!

Schedule

Speaking of scheduling! When are any of these comics coming out? Well... I just said I suck with schedules, and I can't promise really... anything when it comes to release but like... I know I for sure would like to release things... regularly? Even with the start of the reboot, I started it in April, and that stuff extended until at least August. Every summer I naively think "Oh! I'm gonna have so much time to work on the comic!" and then I get a summer job. Because I'm nearly 20 and going to college and even if I'm still living under my parent's roof, I can't entirely rely on my dad to pay my tuition. Only for half the year. Then during the school year, I have classes, and I feel burned out by the time I get home, and- It's a whole thing I need to find someway to work around or else nothing gets done and my brain just screams at itself. So, I think scheduling is something I'm gonna figure out throughout January, and try and get a backlog of updates ready throughout February to April or May so maybe we can start posting again in summer. Does that feel like a long wait? Even being near a year from the first update of the AtDFF reboot? Yes. But also I'm trying to over estimate and give myself the time and space I need while still attending college, and I wouldn't just be working on one comic update, but multiple. I'm trying to give myself space and some grace instead of making promises that feel hollow after a while of being unfufilled.

Lack of Motivation and How to Fix

Another thing to address, is my motivation when it comes to these series. I don't think it's accurate to say I've felt completely unmotivated to work on either comic, I mean, I was motivated for some of the beginning of last year to full on overhaul them, but I will say that, these comics have started to feel like a job. It's been something I've felt for a couple years now, where I've been having less fun with the comic as it's begun to feel like actual work. Believe me, I'm super excited for some of the later plot points of both AtDFF and AYC, and I love Undertale-ish and these characters but to get to those points or character moments, it feels like I'm slogging through what comes before it, which isn't good. This is something that sure, rebooting helped for a bit, before I got caught up in school and other stuff, but it's not a permanent solution and I've felt myself slipping back into the comic feeling like a job.

So how might I remedy this? Well, I think the solution might lie in another series I started this year, Drawing Junior Secret Squad until Chapter 3. Even if DJSSuC3 is more Deltarune focused, I've enjoyed drawing Chicago and my other fankids pretty much daily as, there's not that much pressure on it. Definitely not like there is with AtDFF or AYC. I don't have to line, or even color them since, they're just little doodles. I don't have to worry about missing a day since, I'll just do multiple the next day. They're quick, they're easy, I can just draw whatever idea I have with the characters I want, I'm having fun. Back when Ask the Dreemurr-Font Family was nothing but an ask chat on Amino, that's what I did it for. For fun. I wasn't worried with popularity or being like other creators, I just did silly little character driven roleplays for fun. I think that's been my issue with the comics. They aren't fun anymore. They're work because, I feel it's my job to tell this story rather than just... telling it because I want to. So, I think going forward, I'm gonna try to have more fun with the comics and Ish in general. For you all, that's probably gonna look like more sketches and doodles getting posted and maybe even just sharing small comics based off ideas that pop into my brain or from roleplays that happened in my server. Little things to help me regain the enjoyment I had with these comics and world.

Deltarune: Fool's Fate

I think that's all I've got to say on the Undertale based comics, so how about now we move onto something Deltarune related? As I was doing DJSSuC3, I introduced an idea called Deltarune: Fool's Fate. Aka, Chicago and Co's adventures through the Dark Worlds after Kris denied their destiny. So far, this has just been little doodles, character designs, and a roleplay I've been doing in my discord server. I've been having quite a bit of fun with that RP, we're nearly to the end of what would be the first "chapter" and have been fighting Dorothy, the secret boss of the Attic Dark World and who some of y'all might recall I made a real life doll of when my old computer finally kicked the bucket earlier this month. (I've still yet to make her dress or crown) I think roleplays have always been the thing I find the most enjoyable when it comes to character exploration as, I don't have to spend forever drawing comics and I get to sorta live through the characters. It's something I've been doing for characters from even before I was in this fandom. With the Fool's Fate roleplay too, I've also got to come up with elements that could feasibly be in an actual video game without, you know, actually coding a video game.

I don't know where Fool's Fate will go from here, while it'd be cool to have it be an actual fangame, I don't have that sort of skill. Nor the budget to pay a team. (My team for the comics is really just a bunch of friends I convinced to help me out for free.) Even with a sprite comic, it'd be too much. So, for now, it'll likely just remain a concept and roleplay. But, who knows. Maybe someday I could make it into something. I mean, after watching this year's Underevent I wanted to.

Other stuff

With all the UTDR stuff out of the way, what about some of my other stuff? (Because, surprise, Undertale and Deltarune aren't the ONLY things I do. Just the things I hyperfixate on the most.) Well, I've got my Fakemon region, Azmayca, POW-R, Dragon Riders, and Kinder Eyes which I started last summer. I don't really have any plans for them, asides from bugging people for ideas and doodling whenever I'm in the mood. However I think starting this year, I'm gonna try to post more of the doodles I make. Either ones in my sketchbook since DJSS gave me the confidence to post sketchy silly little doodles like that, or sketch doodles I draw digitally as warm ups. Though who knows. Maybe a hyperfixation swing some time during the summer will cause me to actually try to do something crazy like outline the whole Azmayca region and hypothetical game. Hopefully not something like that though. Making the evolutions of my redesigns of the starters might be nice.

Commissions

Another thing I'd like to finally do next year is update my commissions sheet. It's something I've had in the work for a while now, and was working on along side launching the comic updates. But, like the comics, school and work got in the way so... I sorta forgot about it. Regardless! I'm gonna try to post my updated sheet some time within the next few months, it's mostly just been havin to draw or find recent examples of my work. Hopefully then I'll actually get some more commissions because, um *looks at the whooping $3.94 in my checking account* I could really use the extra money. I might work during the summers and get grade payments from my dad but, that stuff is to pay my tuition and some of my lunches during the semester, and even with lunches, 500 dollars is spread thin through 17, 16 ish weeks. That's like, only $30 a week, which is maybe enough to cover buying lunch at the campus food court like, once or twice from the food court. Maybe three times if I'm lucky and conservative with my spending. Not to mention that $300 of that went to my new laptop, and even if I should be getting $300 from a paycheck I was never paid back when I worked at Arby's 3 summers ago, I still haven't gotten that gift card in the mail so... Yeah. If I was living on my own, I'd be screwed. Which is why commissions and Patreon are like, my only source of income during the school year. (I still need to look into getting an on campus job for this upcoming semester but that's its own whole big can of worms.)

Patreon

Speaking of Patreon, that's another goal I want to set. Actually posting to it again. I had a burst early last year were I was regularly posting to Patreon with early access chapters of The Puppet and the Real Boy (before I retconned that with Fool's Fate) and thanks to my only Patreon ever @kierangecko, I managed to make around $50 bucks which ended up being used to help get blanks for some of my Christmas gifts for people (thank you Gecko. I know I did stop posting after like, May, but that money really came in handy.) So for this next year, I'm gonna try to post to that again. Be it WIPs of the comic, scripts, little doodles I don't post on Tumblr or whatever, I want to make Patreon another source of income. Which involves posting to it at least monthly. And even if I don't, then you guys won't have to worry about anything since I've got it set to not charge for months I don't post anything.

Resolution Review

So, to review some of my... I guess you could call them resolutions, though I'd rather think of them as goals I don't absolutely have to hold myself too but would just like to accomplish, I'd like to...

Have more fun when with AtDFF and AYC through drawing and posting more loose, silly comics and doodles

Try figuring out a posting and work schedule for AtDFF and AYC by then end of January

Hopefully get a back log of updates for both comics ready to release by summer

Start on and release Undertale-ish: The Comic sometime this year

Keep doing Drawing Junior Secret Squad until Chapter 3 until Chapters 3 and 4 of Deltarune hopefully come out sometime this year.

Possibly design hypothetical secret boss predictions for Chapters 4 and 5 of Deltarune before the next chapters come out.

Keep working on, designing characters for, and coming up with Dark Worlds for Deltarune: Fool's Fate. Perhaps even drawing some tarot cards with the chapter bosses.

Post more about my other projects, even if they're only sketchbook drawings or warm up doodles.

Update my commissions page and hopefully take more commissions to earn some extra money/save up for college or to move out.

Post regularly to my Patreon, also to earn some extra money.

Generally have a better year than 2023 and to find more enjoyment in my art and projects.

Ho boy! That was... A lot! This has turned out to be one very long post. Hehe. Well, should be over now that I've said all I need too. 22 January 2024: King Abdullah II was briefed on progress in the implementation of the government’s executive programme for the Economic Modernisation Vision (EMV) for the year 2023.

During a meeting with officials, attended by Crown Prince Hussein, King Abdullah stressed the need to maximise efforts and speed up implementation of programmes, while focusing on mega projects, and preparing the workforce to benefit from the opportunities offered by these projects.

His Majesty highlighted the need to enhance cooperation between ministries to speed up the implementation of the vision, and to avoid delays that may result from bureaucratic impediments. (Source: Petra)

The King called for enhancing communication between officials, Jordanians, and the private sector, and utilising media tools to highlight outcomes of priorities and projects and explain their impact on Jordanians’ lives, while guaranteeing the completion of each priority through the government’s follow-up unit.

Highlighting the importance of developing a follow-up system to analyse performance, address risks, and regulate accountability, His Majesty urged officials to work relentlessly, without hesitation.

At the meeting, attended by Prime Minister Bisher Khasawneh, the King said Jordan’s economic indicators were positive and within expectations before the war on Gaza last year, adding that work must continue to improve the economic outlook this year.

His Majesty listened to a briefing by Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs and Minister of State for Public Sector Modernisation Nasser Shraideh on major achievements across the economic vision’s eight engines.

On investment, the King said there is a possibility to achieve better outcomes than the current outlook with regards to attracting foreign investments to meet expectations.

On government performance follow-up, Minister Shraideh said a dashboard was launched last year that transparently explains progress in the EMV’s executive programme for 2023-2025, noting that data is regularly updated through quarterly progress reports available for the public to view.

His Majesty also followed up on progress in various sectors within the EMV’s executive programme, foremost of which is the Aqaba-Amman Water Desalination and Conveyance Project.

The project offers wide opportunities for local industries to benefit from its construction and operation requirements, as well as other requirements valued at billions of dollars, the King said, calling for equipping the labour force, especially youth, with the needed skills to work on the project once it is launched within the upcoming two years.

His Majesty reiterated the need to secure concessional financing for the project from international financing institutions, in light of the challenges Jordan is facing as a result of hosting refugees.

Water is a top national priority today, said the King, adding that any delays in the project are unacceptable, in order to guarantee its completion before the end of this decade.

At the same time, His Majesty directed the government to prepare suitable alternative plans to avoid any challenges that could affect water supply to Jordanians and various sectors.

The King also stressed the important role of the private sector in the project, as well as expanding it to benefit the national economy and develop local industries.

For his part, Water Minister Raed Abu Soud said the water conveyance project is a strategic project for Jordan, as part of the EMV, adding that the project seeks to secure 300 million cubic metres of desalinated water annually to meet drinking water needs in Jordan.

Bungie Weekly Update - 1/11/19

This week at Bungie, the fourth forge was unlocked.  

But not in the way we intended. Sometimes at Bungie we try new things. On many occasions in the past, we have enjoyed watching as the community worked together to solve puzzles. That was the idea behind Niobe Labs. As the puzzle hunt started to drag on for too long, Guardians watched from the sidelines, eager to forge some new weapons. The feedback was clear: Puzzles are fun, but not when they gate content you were expecting to play. We’re flexible enough to change a plan when it’s not playing out as we had hoped, so we decided to give Annual Pass owners access to the Bergusia Forge. The final forge is open now!

Niobe Labs is still waiting to be solved. Some of the clues in the Niobe Labs puzzle are not as clear as we intended. Our designers are looking into this and will have a clarifying update at 6pm PST. If you are still interested in helping solve it, keep an eye on our forum. We’ll share the link from @Bungie as well. We will be applying what we learned from this activity to experiences we’re creating for future releases.

Before the holidays, we mentioned some sandbox changes coming up at the end of this month. We’re excited to shake things up a little bit, specifically with how your most powerful abilities spread destruction. Here is Designer Dan Gniady with some designer commentary on the changes we have planned.

Dan: Hello Super Aficionados! It’s DanG here to tell you about upcoming changes to subclasses. In the 2.1.4 update, you will experience fresh changes to most of the Supers and a couple goodies here and there for the subclasses at large. If you want just the quick takeaway: damage was increased for most Supers (and slightly reduced for Blade Barrage and Nova Warp), and we’ve injected a couple new tricks into some of the older subclass paths. Keep reading for a more detailed look.

Josh Hamrick recently touched on our upcoming plans for Sandbox, and we wanted to expand on our intentions a bit further. These are some of the goals guiding us:

As frequently as possible, continue to shift the combat meta with Sandbox updates to keep Destiny fresh

Investigate and improve outliers—underperformers in terms of popularity or effectiveness—to keep all of your given Sandbox options feeling like relevant and effective choices

Address major Quality of Life Sandbox issues reported by the community to maintain a smooth and consistent gameplay experience in Destiny

In this specific update, our goal was to look at Supers holistically across the board, bringing up damage where they underperform, fixing some major pain points, and adding new functionality where inspiration struck. To accomplish this, we did the following:

This is the beginning of a process. We believe we’ve found a good place around which to balance the subclasses. This means a few outliers will come down a bit, but most will be brought up. It will involve changes to Super damage, tuning numbers on perks to make them more effective, or even wholesale replacing them when they aren’t performing.

Below you will find the very start of these changes. If you don’t see a particular improvement you were hoping for, know that there will be more to come. And please continue to let us know what you think as we make changes. We appreciate your feedback and share in your passion.

Practice Makes Perfect Super regen increased

The damage is now heavily weighted on the delayed explosion instead of the knife impact

Now deals self-damage if the knives explode too close

Fixed a bug where the knives would track allies

Notes: This Golden Gun change brings increased uptime with your Super. For the Way of the Outlaw, this means a skill-based mechanic to extend it. For Way of the Sharpshooter, it’s the ability to earn your Super more quickly.

Entire damage bonus is applied on the first hit instead of stacking and multiplying

Increased tether radius and lifetime

Made it easier to fire successive tethers

Damage resistance in stealth decreased

Duration of Super while invisible slightly decreased

Notes: This is step one for Shadowshot, and we intend to keep improving the way it works. For this pass, we focused on Moebius Quiver quality of life.

Arcstrider

Changes:

Super damage is now more heavily weighted toward the heavy palm strike attack

No attack damage was reduced, but much of the added damage for this Super went into the heavy attack

Lethal Current bonus damage increased

Titan

Sunbreaker

Changes:

Sunspots

Doubled the damage of the burn on enemies

Sun Warrior

Buff length increased from 3 seconds to 5 seconds

Now increases ALL outgoing damage

Burning Maul

Slam radius increased

Slam fire tornado improved homing

Sentinel

Changes:

Super damage is more heavily weighted on the heavy shield charge attack.

No attack damage was reduced, but much of the added damage for this Super went into the heavy attack

Striker

Changes:

Terminal Velocity

There are now three tiers of hang time

The amount of hang time for each tier has been reworked

Each tier of hang time now causes four damaging shocks instead of three

The damage for the hang time bonuses has been increased significantly

Trample

The light shoulder attack Super cost has been reduced by ~85%

Trample can now trigger every 0.5 seconds, up from every 1 second

Notes: For Code of the Earthshaker, the change to Terminal Velocity should make it more engaging. The first tier is now easier to achieve. Making Matches

Next week, we will adjust matchmaking settings in Competitive. This change is scheduled to take effect on January 15 at 10 AM PST. The World Systems Team has been gathering feedback and using it in conjunction with player data to make the next change for how we match opponents in the Competitive playlist.

We will be changing the matchmaking parameters so that opponents you find in Competitive matchmaking will be closer to your Glory rank. While the imbalanced match can still happen, we believe this change will reduce the number of occurrences dramatically. Players may experience longer matchmaking times as we will try to ensure a good Glory rank match before opening up the search criteria. Thank you so much for your feedback, and please keep it coming. We’re always improving the game and your feedback helps steer the conversation.

Shortly after the launch of Destiny 2: Forsaken, Destiny Player Support began monitoring player reports describing intermittent GUITAR errors in the final encounters of the “Last Wish” raid. These errors have been especially impactful to players attempting the “Petra’s Run” Triumph, which requires fireteams to complete the “Last Wish” raid in a single session with no deaths.

After comprehensive investigation, we currently believe that “Last Wish” GUITAR errors occur when players hit the limit on the number of server-controlled objects within a single area. This issue is exacerbated during the final encounter in “Last Wish,” when encounter-specific objects are left over from the Riven fight. Reaching this limit causes the server to crash, resulting in GUITAR errors for all players.

Our teams are working to identify this issue’s root cause, and are currently testing solutions to resolve these elevated errors. While no strict timeline can be guaranteed, possible solutions are being tested with the intent of shipping in Destiny 2 Update 2.2.0 in March. When more information is available, we’ll be sure to sound off.

Season of the Forge Vital Information and Known Issues

In addition to the items listed above, Destiny Player Support would like to remind players of the currently tracked vital information and known issues which players should be aware of in Destiny 2.

Obsidian Accelerator: We are investigating an issue with the Obsidian Accelerator in which the item is DISCARDED when players select the “Use” button. Players should turn this item in to Ada-1 instead of selecting the “Use” option on the item.

Key Mold and the Mysterious Box: We are investigating player reports regarding the Black Armory Key Mold only becoming available on the first character it is received on.

Forge Key Issues: Investigations are ongoing regarding an issue where forge keys may not be counting toward the Mysterious Box, and players aren't able to obtain another key.

Master Smith Triumph: We are investigating an issue where the "Master Smith" Triumph doesn't count Rare research frames in its total.

Le Monarque "Poison Arrows" Perk: We are investigating an issue where the "Poison Arrows" perk on the Le Monarque Exotic bow is inconsistent over long distances.

Forged in Fire Triumph: We are investigating an issue where the “Forged in Fire" Triumph can't be claimed after players complete their “Forged in Fire” Badge in their Collections.

7 February 2023: King Abdullah II was briefed on the government’s programme to implement the Economic Modernisation Vision in the water, irrigation, and environment sectors.

At a meeting attended by Crown Prince Hussein, King Abdullah stressed the importance of focusing on strategic projects, such as the national water conveyor to counter water and environment challenges related to climate change. Prove Your Worth

Last week, Reckoning tiers 1 and 2 went live, bringing players to the plane of the Nine. Tomorrow, tier 3 will become available, opening the chase to fully unlock your Gambit Prime perks. This activity will have a Power level requirement of 680. Players will need to fully upgrade their synthesizer to enter. Modifiers are also active in this playlist, so be ready to mix your arsenal up for the challenge.

Matchmaking will continue to be available if you’re looking to take on the challenge without a pre-made fireteam. Things may be a little trickier without strategy or communication, so prepare for some white-knuckles as you race the clock to eliminate the darkness. We’ll be watching, as will the Nine.

Speaking of the Nine, Invitations of the Nine also begins tomorrow.

To begin, you’ll need to track down Xûr. In addition to his Exotic inventory, he’ll also offer a quest item for you to complete each week, for up to nine weeks. Each week you engage, you’ll be invited to learn more about the Nine and unlock lore pages to dive deeper into their story.

Polish and Prime

With Season of the Drifter little more than a week old, we’re tracking down some bugs to squash and quality-of-life to address. We’ll be deploying hotfixes and updates, along with some back-end server changes to help keep things fresh. Here’s a quick list of changes specific to Gambit, Gambit Prime, and Reckoning that are currently in-flight.

Gambit Matchmaking [Revised 2:20 PM 3/14/19]

With the release of this very blog article, Gambit received some updates to matchmaking. Gambit is a team based activity and as such, players who are in a pre-made fireteam have a communication advantage. To offset that advantage, we've raised the internal skill rating of pre-made fireteams to pull in higher skill enemies to fight against. With this change, even as a solo player, you'll still have a chance. Plus, your other matched fireteam mates should be higher skilled as well.

Solo players of low skill should expect to match other solo players more frequently. Higher skill teams will also match teams more frequently.

Gambit Prime Synths

Shortly after the release of Gambit Prime, players began filling their inventory with Prime Armor Synths. Tentatively planned for Hotfix 2.2.0.2, players will be able exchange a stack of 5 Synths for 100 Glimmer with the Drifter. The intention of this isn’t to give players a means of acquiring large amounts of Glimmer, but strictly to help address inventory issues.

Reckoning Modifiers

In early playtests at the studio, Prism proved to be more challenging than intended in higher Tiers of Reckoning and we planned to remove it in the first patch proactively. When we launched last week, we collected some fairly positive feedback with Prism and wanted to react quickly and remedy that change. Since Glass seemed more problematic, we wanted to take action there too. Tentatively planned for Hotfix 2.2.0.2, we will be replacing Glass with Prism. Tier 3 goes live tomorrow,  so we’ll continue to monitor feedback and make adjustments as needed.

As with all things in development, any of these forecast changes could be altered or delayed. For the most current information on our plans and progress, stay tuned for patch notes.

Persistent Upkeep

Week in and week out, Player Support is at the ready to lend a helping hand when issues arise in Destiny 2. This week, they have some vital information for those preparing to pick a side in the Allegiance quest. No, they’re not telling you to pledge to the Vanguard (even though you totally should), but making sure your experience is smooth and issue free.

Destiny 2 Hotfix 2.2.0.1

In last week’s Player Support Report, we highlighted an issue where some players’ weekly bounties for Ada-1 and Petra Venj did not refresh at the weekly reset, instead refreshing the following Sunday. With the conclusion of this week’s maintenance, we expect this issue to be resolved. In addition to this change, we’d like to also highlight the resolution of the following issues:

Drifter’s Weapon Pursuits: Fixed an issue where the pursuits for Malfeasance and Breakneck were not progressing as expected in Gambit and Gambit Prime.

“The Best Offense” Triumph: Fixed an issue where the Triumph “The Best Offense,” which awards Oxygen SR3, wasn't counting the correct number of Orbs of Light generated in strike activities.

Gambit Maps: Fixed an issue where Blockers were not spawning on Kell’s Grave and Cathedral of Scars. These maps have since been re-enabled in the Gambit playlist.

Known Issue Callout: Losing Allegiance Pursuits

This week, players who own the Destiny 2: Forsaken Annual Pass are being asked to make a choice; pledge to the Vanguard, or side with the Drifter.

Since this ultimatum has gone live, Destiny Player Support has monitored reports regarding an issue where players who make their choice while they have a full Pursuit inventory are not receiving either quest item, regardless of which side they chose.

We are currently working to resolve this issue in an upcoming hotfix. In the meantime, all players should ensure they have space available in their Pursuits inventory prior to accepting either of these quests from the Drifter. As always, we’ll be sure to sound off with more information when it's available.

Destiny 2 Season of the Drifter Known Issues

Whether you choose to stand tall with the Vanguard or join the Drifter’s crew, we’ve got the details you need on the latest known issues in Destiny 2.

Allegiance Quest—Titan Adventure: Players should be aware that the beacon for launching the Titan heroic adventure for the Allegiance quest is not the usual heroic adventure beacon, but is instead near it in the same room.

Allegiance Quest—Banking Motes: We are investigating an issue where Motes banked in Gambit are not progressing this quest step. Currently, only Motes banked in Gambit Prime are applying progress.

Allegiance Quest—Tapes: We are investigating an issue where players can become blocked from progressing their Allegiance quest if not all tapes are successfully scanned in the EDZ.

In Twitter, though, the brand switches from tagging their own name to using a hashtag for a store location. Twitter’s shorter character limitations often force brands to prioritize their hashtags. In this case, adding #serenaandlily to a post would have been repetitive.

Community Hashtags: West Elm

A version of branded hashtags, community hashtags are often used by larger brands to engage their consumer base.

These hashtags still include the brand’s name in some form and often tacks on something like “AtHome” or “Community.” In practice, consumers will use the community hashtag on a photo that features the brand or service. The brand will then select from the hashtag and feature the best on its feed.

This practice has many benefits. Consumers often feel like they’re part of a larger community and use the hashtag to find like-minded community members. The brand incorporates user-generated content to add authenticity to its feed. And third, brand awareness is subtly spread in the hashtag.

Ideally, you won’t be only taking from consumers but also engaging on the photos with the community hashtag.

West Elm asks its customers to use the #mywestelm hashtag to share how they’re using the pieces in their own homes. Having this separate community hashtag offers West Elm the ability to showcase various styles and give their followers some inspiration.

February is B Corp Month and B Corporation runs a hashtag campaign that involves certified companies, giveaways and other content. It’s a great way to get the word out about what they do and allows other B Corporations to connect to each other.

Event Hashtag: ASCE

Like campaign hashtags, event hashtags often have a start and end date. If it’s an annual event, the same hashtag may be used. But some events also like to have a year-specific hashtag to separate new conversation from last year’s.

Brands often use event hashtags to join in and create conversation around the event.

For conferences, brands may even live Tweet using the event hashtag. In this case, a company is using another brand’s hashtag to share information. When conference attendees search on the hashtag, the company shows up as active participants and more notably, spreads brand awareness.

Multi-product or service companies use hashtags to highlight different aspects of their brand. This is an especially useful strategy if your products or services have different audiences. In a way, this is similar to a branded hashtag as these separate products or services might have their own brand.

Product or service hashtags can help consumers do research on a product. If a company offers multiple products, it can be troublesome to sift through many photos just to find the few you may be interested in. A company may use both a branded hashtag and a product hashtag in a post.

Thank you to everyone who was able to attend our July 18 DWSCMT meeting.  Below are the minutes from the meeting.  Hope to see you at our next meeting on Tuesday, August 15 at 6:00 pm in Meeting Room 2 of City Hall.  Please bring neighbors and other friends!

NHPD:  There was an extended discussion of the recent house break-in on Academy Street in Wooster Square and the recent incident on Pearl / Orange / Bradley Streets, where someone acting like they had a gun asked for a young couple’s money early in the morning, and then tried to force the woman into a car (likely to go to an ATM), before the woman escaped.

The police are actively investigating both incidents and ask for people to please contact them if they notice/d anything unusual.

The police are increasing patrols / detectives in both areas.

The police are studying if the two incidents possibly are related.

LCI:  Carmen Mendez emphasized the importance of keeping hedges trimmed, not only to keep one’s yard looking neat, but to ensure lighting, etc. is not blocked, making the area physically safer too.

Economic Development:  Karla Lindquist reported that the Spinnaker project at the old Comcast site and across Chapel Street in Wooster Square now can proceed, because the litigation has concluded.  She is waiting to find out the exact groundbreaking date.  Spinnaker is eager to engage the community on some neighborhood projects they can help with – for example beautifying and perhaps improving the lighting on the Chapel Street bridge.  (Because the bridge is above the railroad tracks, there may be limits on what the city can do regarding the lights.)  Someone suggested another project Spinnaker might want to get involved with is the Site Projects installation being planned for the underpass on near 1 Union Avenue.  The DWSCMT seems like a good forum for brainstorming about additional possibilities.

Someone mentioned lights being out on the Court Street Bridge.  Doug Hausladen has reported these already, but perhaps if more people cite this on SeeClickFix, they will get replaced more quickly.

There is going to be a small space for retail on the first floor of the Spinnaker project, but they have been waiting for the litigation to finish to try to attract tenants.  They also intend to use at least some of the space for public art / history exhibits.

The second project that was to be next to the Spinnaker Project (the Petra project), appears to be on hold for now, even though there is no longer litigation pending.  We will follow up to get more details at a future meeting.

The historic neighborhood tradition will begin at the St. Michael's Church (29 Wooster Place) at 9:30am and move through the historic streets of New Haven's Little Italy to arrive at the Society's home at 123 Wooster Street.

NPIP:  Carmen was able to find some additional money based on previously unused DWSCMT NPIP funds.  Charlie Murphy and Cordalie Benoit presented a plan to use some of this money for a project which will install small, metallic markers on a set of trees in the park, with scientific and historic information about the trees.  This will encourage folks to study the trees more.  The cost will be $1,000 and the Wooster Square Conservancy will monitor the funds.  The plan was approved.

City Plan Flood Presentation:  City Plan gave a terrific presentation on flood risks in New Haven, what the city is doing to address the risks, and what individuals can do.  The public information sharing is one of the requirements for the city to be certified as a Rate Class 7 under the Community Rating System program.  This Rate Class enables people living in the city and businesses operating in the city to qualify for 15% savings on their Flood Insurance Premiums, at least for the current year while the city has this level of qualification.  The city encourages business owners to study the City Plan website for detailed information of flood prevention measures they can take, or to contact Susmitha Attota at

2 March 2021: Queen Rania joined via video call the Royal Health Awareness Society’s (RHAS) annual Board of Trustees meeting, to discuss the society’s accomplishments over the past year and its programs on preventative measures amidst the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

RHAS Director General, Hanin Odeh, updated Her Majesty and board members on the society’s revamped work approach in light of the pandemic, like using communication technologies to minimize contact and keep in touch with beneficiaries remotely.  

Odeh also explained the role of RHAS in the national COVID-19 awareness campaign, ‘Elak w Feed’, launched by the Ministry of Health in partnership with UNICEF and the World Health Organization (WHO).

The campaign uses traditional and social media platforms to inform the public about preventative measures and the importance of immunization against the virus. It also trains volunteers in pandemic-related community engagement, and has published a set of guidelines for dealing with the virus. (Source: Petra)

Additionally, Odeh highlighted the Youth Innovation Forum, a joint initiative by RHAS, the Ministry of Youth, and the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) that aims to involve Jordanian youth in generating innovative solutions to local community challenges caused by the pandemic.

During the meeting, Her Majesty asked board members about the effectiveness of RHAS’ various campaigns in reinforcing people’s adherence to proper health and safety measures, and thanked them and their partners for contributing to national efforts in response to the pandemic.

Established in 2005, the Royal Health Awareness Society aims to raise health and safety awareness in Jordan through preventative programs and awareness campaigns. The programs intend to encourage Jordanians to adopt healthy habits and lifestyles through capacity building, and interactive learning RHAS operates within public and private schools, Ministry of Health comprehensive centers, universities, and local communities. The society has multiple public and private sector partnerships at the national and international level.
