“Who says? Huh? That choice was mine to make.” He sighed softly and brushed some of Crow’s hair out of his eyes before cupping his cheek. “And I’ve decided to love you, no matter what.”

some of my favourite destiny artworks i've made ! all from circa 3 years ago. the savathun triptych and bernis senderis still do the rounds sometimes and seeing them in my notifs fills me with so much glee. they remind me of my favourite characters and favourite parts of the destiny story. very fond feelings even after so long

pss i am disabled and unable to work a regular job. art is my only source of income. if my art has ever brightened up your day, please reblog it so that more people can see and i can hopefully get some work before i starve. the ai slop has taken over everything and it is all of our responsibility to fight against it by supporting the people who create and share work with us. plus having that bit of security and peace so i'm not constantly on the verge of breakdown will also allow me to get back into making art to share with the fandom ! everybody wins. i hate having to ask but artists are dropping like flies and we are losing so much amazing fanwork due to the lack of support

Ok, it's time to take a closer look at this one (人 •͈ᴗ•͈)

As usual, I used fountain pen inks for overall coloring, alcohol-based markers for extra shading and some bleach and gouache to add highlights.

Here are some color tests done on a separate sheet of paper that I glued in later. I didn't use all these colors featured here, nor all colors I used are shown here (for example, I didn't add the main black I used for this one because I knew I'm gonna use it anyway, so no need for swatching) - it was more like trying to find the main tone of the painting. Will it be more blue or more violet, colder or warmer shade - I wasn't sure then and had to play around with inks to find out.

Aaaand my favorite trick saved for the last! I used fluorescent ink and gouache to highlight Felwinter's LEDs, so when we turn on the UV light...

(tbh it's not that much of a difference, but at the same time it kind of looks like as if was meant to be viewed this way... Maybe because it's closer to what you would've seen if you really were standing there)

Yeah I think it's more... even if they have all the base code and assets it would essentially require spinning up an entirely separate new version of D2 based on code from 2016/2017 with a completely separate server. So essentially making a new version of the game. Or remaking the whole campaign which I doubt they have capacity for atm due to all the vintage cars =_= I can actually also see the logic in using Byf's videos and other stuff from YT for this particular lawsuit over doing that, even if they had the capacity. It shows that this is the content that existed in the game originally, posted at the time it came out, from a 3rd party who is not employed by them, so they cannot possibly have altered it in any way and no-one can claim thatthand the person suing them cannot claim they changed it. It absolutely sucks that it isn't in-game especially when a lot of the spaces used for the campaign are still there (there is so much of it still there in the EDZ!), but I can't entirely blame them for not spending dev time building a new mini-version of the game for this. (It is the fucking stupidest lawsuit too - the guy is suing over concepts so broad they apply to basically any military sci-fi to the point where Bungie could probably counter-sue to claim he plagiarised Halo or Marathon. He's trying to claim ownership over the concept of both the Roman Empire, and *dogs*.) Also absolutely agreed - the state of game preservation is fucking *awful* and companies should be required to keep playable versions of everything they publish (preferably a copy for every major update) for archival purposes. It's horrifying how much could be lost.

I can't believe the D2 base campaign is now lost media. the worst anyones ever done it.
