I think one of my favorite things about Across the Spiderverse is that, if you pay enough attention, you realize that Miguel's logic makes zero sense.
Earth-42 Miles never became Spider-Man like Miguel says he was supposed to, Gwen's dad quits the force (thus preventing his supposedly inevitable death as a cop), and Peter B only decided to have a kid because he met Miles, which, according to Miguel, was never supposed to happen.
All three universes are very obviously not destroyed, nor do they seem likely to be destroyed any time in the near future. So either:
A. Earth-1610 Miles was always supposed to become Spider-Man (thus allowing Peter B to meet him) and Gwen's cop who dies is just someone else, with her father being a red herring.
OR
B. The other option, which I think is both much more likely and much more interesting: Miguel is inherently wrong.

The People VS Gwen Stacy au where Miguel and Jess just picked up the Vulture and left, not stopping Captain Stacy from raising the gun toward Gwen a second time and shooting her on reflex.
Gwen bleeding out on a stretcher to an ambulance, face exposed to the world as a million cameras flash.
Gwen twisted up in the agony of her father choosing to be a cop before being someone who loves her with a bullet in her liver but a hole in her heart.
Gwen Stacy's face posted all over the news before she's even on the operating table at the nearest hospital.
Gwen Stacy arrested for the murder of Peter Parker, handcuffed to the railing of her hospital bed.
Gwen Stacy arriving at the court house in a wheelchair because she is fresh out of surgery and can't walk, meeting her lawyer, Matt Murdock for the first time.
Gwen Stacy villified by J. Jonah Jameson and the police union to the point other heroes, like Daredevil, have to come out of the shadows to protect her from a public lynching.
Gwen Stacy, abandoned by everyone she should've been able to trust.
Spiderwoman alone against the court of public opinion.
#across the spiderverse au#gwen stacy#i ahve been having thoughts about the movie#i've watched the opening a hundred times and im still as insane as i was the first time#like what if her dad shot her because miguel and jess being consummate professional just bagged the anomaly and left#what if it was after he'd seen her face and thus she was forced to face the world maskless#her father appears to be a bad cop in general#conflicting orders and escalation#wouldn't his testimony conflict with any autopsy done on peter's body#matt murdock and foggy saw/heard the breaking news and broke so many traffic laws getting out to Chelsey NY to take a case probono#in light of the mobs of people outside the court house and hospital Matt convinces a judge to release Gwen on house arrest#Daredevil briefly granted custody of Spiderwoman for her own safety#gwen breaking down and crying in the bathroom of his Hell's Kitchen apartment#miguel looks in later and while he feels bad this is the canon of her world#he adds Earth-65 to patrols for other spiders while Gwen is on indisposed and if he happens to lead them well he's the boss#he visits gwen and apologizes but doesn't mention that he could've stopped it#miguel struggling to understand how gwen's father shot her after seeing her face and knowing it was his precious child behidn the mask#gwen clinging to matt murdock and miguel o'hara and the other heroes who come by and offer support and love and let her heal#INSIST that she heal under their wings#gwen's found family#idk who else i'd have in this jsut want my girl to go through it and come out stronger and more loved than anything

If any of the heroic reader find out that the unwiling subject being tortured, The founder,Anomaly o’hara!reader give permission to Peter pan! reader to forced the reader! au to eat the gummy.
There are some reader! au who know but doesn't care at all and sometime would join in to tortured the subject or keep their mouth quiet.
Oh yeah. Anomaly O’Hara!reader knows one thing, they aren’t a good person. They weren’t raised to be a good person, their job outside of this place isn’t good, and what their doing inside of this HQ isn’t good. They knew they were never meant for good because it goes against their whole life, they’ve never been good and they probably won’t stop being this way. So if people accidentally stick their noses in places they don’t need to be in, Peter Pan!reader deals with them

Also I'm super proud of myself.
Yesterday I couldn't climb up a waterfall because well things are hard with one eye and no depth perception. Plus I've got no balance and am terrified like unreasonably terrified of heights.
Today I went into a few cave systems, one having over 100 steps down. Without freaking out and without giving up because of not being able to tell how steep the stairs were (it's happened before got frustrated with different sizes of steep stairs and just couldn't handle almost falling) I made it all the way down and back up in the 3 caves I went in even the ones with super uneven ground. And I did it in a dress. Didn't fall once in the caves (just on a flat paved trail 🙃)
May seem little and insignificant but to me its a huge accomplishment because no matter how much I try not to admit it I do struggle with sooo much only having vision in only one eye.

i said i wasnt gonna go off in ops tags but im still gonna go off
im seeing a lot of discourse about miguel and how he treats miles and im not gonna write him off cause he was outta pocket but like i consider peter b to way worse than him in that regard
cause for all the shit miguel puts miles through, its (arguably) impersonal. miguel presents himself as an obstacle for miles to overcome from the very beginning. peter b on the other hand, just failed so dramatically to come through when miles needed him and i cant respect that at all
like maybe he trusts miguel and believes what they're doing is necessary for the safety of the universe but he makes the barest minimum attempt to protect miles in any capacity. like miles cannot consider him an ally until its too late and thats so fucked up cause miles looks up to him and respects and loves him so much and what does he do. he lets miguel choke slam miles into a train
and like i know its lampshaded that hes a bad mentor but like shouldnt that weigh on him. hes so nonchalant about it. shouldnt the fact that this kid (honestly these kids plural, counting gwen) trusted him to look out for them and he failed make him question himself
like yeah miguel was too grown to be doing all that but its so much more frustrating watching peter b just fail to be in miles corner.
as i said when i get my hands on peter b parker torn asunder that man will be
#ranting#i dont particularly want to tag this cause i dont want to summon the discourse to my home#i just want to add that i have a lot of thoughts about atsv as a meta narrative about the spiderman archetype#but like the entire point of miles morales in the spiderverse movies is that he defies expectations.#hes not defined by who anyone else says he should be and he has the impact on others that allows them to change in the same way#and peter b fucking Knows this hes seen it in action. he knows miles is a remarkable and capable kid so when he says#''i can save my dad without endangering the multiverse'' peter b should be in his Fucking corner#he should know better than to try and force miles into this strict idea of the spider man archetype especially one that demands he suffer#but idk in this regard i may be forgoing dramatic irony to assume that a character can make the same observation i can#since the point about miles defying expectations is one that is kind of meta. but atsv is kind of a meta narrative and the idea of canon#within the story does kind of mirror the understanding of the spider man archetype outside of it. peter knows about canon and knows miles i#an anomaly. he outright says miles inspired him to change his story so again idk#either way regardless of if this is an observation peter can make he still failed to support miles. miles needed him and he fell through#anyway between captain stacy and peter b the moral of spiderverse is that you cannot trust white men#caw caw#retroactively retagging this post

@crisispider pressed play!
For the first time in months, no, closer to a year, Peter felt a little lighter.
Was that feeling likely to be fleeting? Sure, but the fact it had come at all was a small step forward. The cause of that lighter feeling might be ludicrous to some, but since this was his first solo trip to New York City, he had full liberty to visit the fire station, apartment building, library, and the Chrysler Building where Ghostbusters was shot without being judged. He had even been lucky enough to track down a record store and find the original soundtrack LP.
Headphones on as he strolled back toward one of Central Park’s green spaces he’d landed the cloaked Milano in, he selected an appropriate song for the occasion, a light swing of his souvenir bag as he almost let himself fully relax, embrace the moment. Almost—until several flashes, the last one of red and blue, streaked across his vision.
If there’s something weird, and it don’t look good, who you gonna call?
Quill froze, resisting the urge to run after whatever that was. It wasn’t a galaxy-level threat, he hadn’t been asked, and he had a very breakable souvenir: all factors leading to the answer of Not His Problem. And yet…hadn’t he seen a red and blue suit similar to that somewhere before?
…If this record gets busted, it won’t be the only thing that is by the end of this.
Leaning the bag against the wall of the alley and lowering his headphones to hang around his neck, Star-Lord let his mask materialize before rushing further in, quad blaster drawn as he heard the sound of a fight ahead. Whoever the sides were, it looked heavily lopsided, one against a group. Opting for a non-lethal first move, he shot an electrical surge at the one attempting a cheap shot from behind the red and blue guy.
“You’re already gangin’ up on him, but you’re still tryin’ to pull a dirty move like that? Shockin’.”

Yes yes yes to your Miguel and Peter b's relationship analysis. Also I rewatched ITSV recently and I just want to say, when Peter said he'd stay behind (and glitch to death) because someone has to do it, and I'm like, "thats so Miguel!!" And I'm thinking, Migs been watching a livestream of ITSV, do you think he saw that moment. Do you think he saw that and thought Peter was someone like him, and so Peter was among the early recruits?? Do you get me (I hope I make sense, I'm too excited thanks
Yeah you makes sense dw :D! Honestly it could be the case! I personally assume Miguel dimension dips relatively early into the timeskip (1-3months) because his gripes with Miles are in big part rooted in what he comes to believe post that trauma, and I think otherwise Peter would’ve just visited Miles or Gwen at the very least. Seeing as how Peter is one of only a couple spideys trying to save people from the dimension, I personally think he would’ve been one of the first couple ones recruited to the Society too!

Bug Like Angel
pt4
See you soon
hey guys warning this chapter literally has none of the batfam here its highlighting reader being insterted into itsv-atsv
Tumblr media
It has been a year since you had gotten bitten.
You were now 14
Since then you've lost a couple of people.
Your Gwen Stacy, who was instead named [REDACTED], was killed while you were trying to stop the green goblin.
You lost an officer you were close to. He died while protecting a kid.
You lost someone you considered an uncle.
You were tired.
Since then you've been training yourself, secretly fighting crime to not be seen by your family, and getting stronger in general.
Every day was sortve the same. Wake up, get ready, go to school, come home, eat, fight crime, sleep, repeat.
It all changed one day.
You had just gotten back from patrol.
You stopped 3 muggings and saved a cat from a tree.
It was a slow day, thankfully.
You were doing your homework peacefully.
You were almost done with your algebra homework when suddenly a portal popped up right next to you.
You couldn't process anything as the portal sucked you up and took you in.
The next thing you knew, you were stuck in an alternate universe with other versions of you.
And you had to get home soon ASAP no rocky if you didn't wanna die.
And that be all fine and dandy.
Except you didn't wanna get attached to anyone.
You didn't want them to exclude you and you to follow them around like a lost puppy like you did with your family.
And guess what?
You did get attached.
Peni, a small kid who was in a tiny robot fighting, was like a little sister to you.
Peter B. Parker, ham, and Noir were all like uncles to you.
Gwen and Miles were your cool older siblings.
You loved them.
And you hated that.
Because you knew deep down, you wouldn't get to see each other again.
You all were destined to be apart, due to your separate universes.
You got attached.
You were attached to noir and how his coat smelled like cigarettes and milkshakes.
You were attached to Ham and how he always cracked jokes when things got tense and awkward.
You were attached to peter b and how he talked about his past experiences.
You got attached to Peni and how she would use stickers everywhere.
You got attached to Miles and how stupidly awkward he was with Gwen.
You got attached to Gwen and how she gave you the advice you always needed and never got.
Fuck.
You didn't wanna go back to the manor.
This is the happiest you've been in a while.
This is home.
This is what family is supposed to feel like.
You can go on patrol here without worrying that your family might see you.
You are constantly smiling and laughing with the people here.
You're always catching yourself wishing you could stay here forever.
Other than the annoyingly painful glitching, you're so happy and excited.
You never wanna leave.
You were so proud of Miles and how he got everyone home.
You cried as soon as you landed back in your room.
You sobbed into your pillow. You're gonna miss them.
No one even noticed you were gone for a week.
No one noticed how bruised up you were.
No one noticed how sad you looked.
Tumblr media
It's been 5 months since then.
You got invited to join the Spider Society.
Miguel saw you on patrol trying to fight an anomaly and failing miserably due to you never fully getting actual training.
You were trying! It's just that you didn't want your family to see you so its sort of hard to control a whole glitching green goblin...
Miguel took you into the spider society.
You saw Peter B in Miguel's office and immediately tackled him into a hug and shed a tear or two.
You learned that due to being a mix of two multiverses (Marvel and DC) your canon events were a tiny bit messed up.
Miguel explained everything, but everything was going through one ear and out the other.
You wondered if the others were here too.
You wondered if they missed you like you missed them.
Miguel could see how spaced out you were.
"What's wrong, Mija?"
"Are the others here? Like Gwen, Miles, ham, noir, and Peni? I know Peter's here, I saw him just now, but what about the others?"
He went on to explain how they hadn't been invited yet.
Later on, you begged him to at least invite Peni.
He couldn't resist your puppy dog eyes, so he said yes.
Since being introduced into society, you've slowly started getting used to just doing everything here.
You would go into Miguel's office for hours and hours just to be around him.
He was like the father you always wanted!
He would listen to you complain about your family, and he would always lend a shoulder to cry on.
On multiple occasions, he had to carry you back to your bed in your universe because you'd fall asleep in his office on the floor.
You both have gotten close.
Miguel was your emergency contact, always there when you needed him. Despite his intimidating appearance to others, he was never scary to you.
At one point you saw Gwen again, finally!
You were so happy! one step closer to getting everyone together again!
Slowly, you saw everyone again.
..Everyone except Miles.
You didn't understand, why not Miles?
You asked Miguel and he went on a tangent that did not make sense and just made you more confused.
You did get to meet Pavitr and Hobie.
Pavitr was basically your twin! You guys had similar personalities and had twin telepathy.
You and Pavitr were always playing cupid for miles and gwen.
You both were around the same age and everything!
Hobie is SO COOL!
His peircings, his guitar, his clothes, his slang!
You were in awe!
He taught you how to play your guitar! You were finally getting a hang of it!
He was like the older brother you never had!
You wanted to be like him so bad!
Youd follow him around like a duck a lot, but unlike your brothers back home, he'd never yell at you to stop or ignore you, he'd enjoy having you around!
When he and Gwen jokingly said they wanted to start a band, you really wanted to!
A couple of months later, you saw Miles again!
It wasn't in the best circumstances.
You had just gotten back from school. You were in your room scrolling on your phone, when suddenly your spidey senses tingled.
You saw Gwen hop out of a portal in the middle of your room.
"Hey! I kinda sort of need your help."
"what's going on?" you asked, tilting your head in curiosity, putting your phone face down on the bed.
Gwen went on to explain everything you missed.
From Gwen seeing miles to Miles tagging along onto Mamhatten in Pavitr's universe, and then to Miguel's body slamming him into a train and calling everyone to chase him.
Jeez, you don't go to the society for one day and everything goes to shit.
You thought about it for a second, no one would notice you not being here for a couple of days, right?
"..Alright, I've saved the multiverse once, I can do it again."
You sat up on your bed and grabbed your suit.
You grabbed Gwen's arm as she took you to a whole other universe.
Tumblr media
After a lot of fighting, you all managed to save Miles's dad.
Seeing their family be happy together made you tear up in happiness.
They deserved to be happy.
After a lot of apologies from all parties, everything was still pretty awkward.
You've probably apologized to Miles over a million times despite him insisting it wasn't your fault.
Sure, you didn't help the others chase him, but you still didn't tell him about society.
Hell, you should've been there to defend him.
You should've yelled at Miguel from the beginning over him not letting Miles in his stupidly exclusive clubhouse.
Instead, you were scared Miguel was gonna bring you back to the manor and disown you, even if you knew he would never do that to you.
You should've stood by miles from the start.
It's never too late to make up for everything
Tumblr media
oml this was kinda boring but i needed filler lol
honestly i might write a oneshot of all the spiderkids together

DP X Marvel #26
Danny didn’t really think it through. In his defense, there weren’t a lot of guidebooks titled “How to Deal with the Psychotic Future Version of Yourself You Accidentally Redeemed But Are Still Terrified Of.” Jazz suggested therapy. Sam suggested containment. Tucker suggested launching him into deep space. Danny, brilliant and seventeen and sleep-deprived after three days of babysitting a now mostly-reformed Dan Phantom, decided, “Screw it,” ripped open a portal to another dimension, and told him to “go make friends.” Dan grinned, sharp-toothed and wicked, and without hesitation dove through the swirling green and blue mass of unstable ectoplasmic energy.
Thus began the Marvel Universe’s greatest headache.
The first incident happened barely four hours after Dan’s arrival. New York woke up to a brand new urban legend: a demon with burning blue eyes and silver-streaked black hair beating the living shit out of Shocker in the middle of Times Square. People recorded it, of course. Viral videos showed Shocker screaming, running, trying desperately to aim his gauntlets while Dan literally phased through every attack like he was swatting a mosquito. Somewhere in the footage, Dan shouted, “C’MON, MAN! HIT HARDER, YOU’RE EMBARRASSING YOURSELF!” before drop-kicking Shocker into a halal cart.
The Avengers noticed. Specifically, Spider-Man noticed, because Peter Parker had never been so personally offended by something in his life.
“He’s stealing my bit,” Peter whined to MJ later, scrolling through TikTok and watching the mysterious “Blue Devil” bodyslam the Rhino into a GAP storefront. “That’s MY thing. Wisecracking and beating up guys in animal costumes.”
MJ, deadpan as ever, didn’t even look up from her book. “Maybe if you hit the gym once in a while, you could still compete.”
Elsewhere, S.H.I.E.L.D. was losing their collective shit.
Nick Fury reviewed the footage with the grim severity of a man preparing for war. “I want every available agent tailing him. Find out what he is, what he wants, and for God’s sake, do not engage.”
Unfortunately, Dan had other plans. He wanted engagement. Constant, chaotic, no-holds-barred engagement.
When the X-Men tried to approach him peacefully—because, to be fair, a floating, smirking, six-foot-seven superpowered anomaly screamed “mutant”—Dan responded by challenging Wolverine to a fistfight in the middle of Central Park.
“You smell angry,” Dan said, cracking his knuckles and grinning wide. “I like that. C’mon, Knives. Show me what those claws can do.”
Wolverine, never one to back down from a challenge, growled and immediately lunged. It took six X-Men to pull them apart. Logan was half in love and half homicidal.
Jean Grey, massaging her temples afterward, sighed, “He’s not a mutant. He’s something else. Something… worse.”
Meanwhile, Dan wasn’t picky about his opponents. Hero? Villain? Civilian? If you looked at him wrong, he was ready to throw hands. He got into a screaming match with Daredevil over a parking spot. He suplexed Deadpool into a dumpster for calling him “Discount Nightcrawler.” He made Venom cry after a fifteen-minute insult match that Eddie Brock would never fully recover from.
The Fantastic Four tried to reason with him.
“We can help you,” Reed Richards said, voice patient like he was talking to a rabid cat. “We have resources—”
Dan blew up the top three floors of the Baxter Building and left a sticky note on the ruins that said, “UR WELCOME - D.”
The thing was, Dan wasn’t evil anymore. Not really. He wasn’t trying to take over the world. He wasn’t murdering anyone. He just had a lifetime’s worth of rage, grief, and unresolved abandonment issues—and no idea what to do with them except get into constant, escalating, deeply unnecessary fights.
It got to a point where the heroes started treating Dan like a natural disaster.
“Code Blue,” a harried S.H.I.E.L.D. agent barked over comms one afternoon. “I repeat, Code Blue! The entity is currently body-slamming Juggernaut through Grand Central!”
Cap sighed, already pulling on his shield. “Alright, team. Let’s move out.”
Black Widow holstered her guns. “At least it’s not another alien invasion.”
Thor, cheerful as ever, grinned. “I relish a good battle!”
Hawkeye muttered, “You relish being concussed.”
Dan, for his part, loved the attention. He loved the chaos. He loved the feeling of letting loose in a world that could actually handle him, where nobody flinched when he punched through a concrete wall or melted a tank with a blast of pure ectoplasmic fire.
He was happy, in his deeply deranged, borderline-psychotic way.
That didn’t mean he was easy to deal with.
After Dan singlehandedly wrecked a Hydra base (“I was bored, okay?” he said when the Avengers confronted him), Tony Stark decided to try a different tactic.
“Look, Big and Blue,” Tony said, lounging on the ruined remains of what was once a cutting-edge jet. “Ever think about channeling that rage into something… productive? Like, say, joining the Avengers?”
Dan blinked, actually considering it for a full five seconds.
Then he laughed so hard he almost dropped a car on Tony’s head.
“Me? Work with you guys? Under orders? Are you high, Tin Man?”
Steve Rogers, exhausted and already developing a migraine, tried. “You could do a lot of good—”
“I am doing good,” Dan said brightly. “I’m keeping you on your toes. No need to thank me.”
“You broke Clint’s arm last week,” Natasha reminded him.
“He’ll live.”
“He was trying to give you a granola bar.”
Dan shrugged, utterly unbothered. “He looked suspicious.”
The closest thing Dan had to a friend was Deadpool. Not because they got along—they didn’t, not even a little—but because Deadpool was the only one insane enough to keep up.
They had a rivalry. A bloody, chaotic, absolutely incomprehensible rivalry that involved prank wars, bar fights, and one extremely regrettable karaoke contest that left three bars in ruins and a citywide ban on musical gatherings involving either party.
“I hate you,” Dan snarled once, pinning Deadpool to a wall after a four-hour chase across Manhattan.
“I hate you more!” Wade screeched back, thrilled beyond belief.
“Great! Friends forever!” Wade cackled.
Dan screamed into the void.
Meanwhile, Danny Fenton was back in his own dimension, blissfully unaware, telling Jazz, “See? Everything’s fine.”
Jazz, reading a news article titled “Unknown Supernatural Entity Causes $3 Billion in Property Damage, Punches Doctor Doom in the Face” quietly considered strangling him.
Eventually, the heroes adapted. Dan was like bad weather. You prepared for him. You kept an eye out for ominous blue clouds and spontaneous outbreaks of screaming. Sometimes he helped. Sometimes he made things worse. Mostly, he made things interesting.
There were even betting pools.
“Fifty bucks says he crashes this gala,” Sam Wilson said, tightening his bowtie before a high-profile Avengers event.
“Hundred says he wears a suit to crash it,” Bucky Barnes added, deadpan.
“Two hundred he punches Tony before dessert,” Carol Danvers said, sipping champagne.
Dan did crash the gala. In a tuxedo.
He punched Tony before the entrees even made it out.
By then, nobody was even surprised.
The turning point came when Galactus tried to devour Earth (again). The heroes mobilized. Big stakes. High drama. Apocalyptic dread.
Dan showed up in the middle of the chaos, lazily floating beside Captain Marvel.
“Hey,” he said, tilting his head at the giant cosmic entity looming in the sky. “I’m gonna punch that.”
Carol, blinking, said, “You can’t just punch Galactus.”
Dan, already cracking his knuckles, grinned. “Watch me.”
And then he did.
Nobody knew how. It defied physics, logic, and every law of reality. But somehow, Dan punched Galactus so hard the giant stumbled, clutched his jaw, and left.
There was a beat of stunned silence.
Deadpool clapped. “THAT’S MY BEST ENEMY!”
Thor dropped his hammer.
Tony sat down on the ground and decided to reconsider all his life choices.
Steve very seriously said, “We are never letting him leave.”
Thus, against all odds, Dan Phantom—the violent, chaotic, semi-redeemed ghost of a now-erased dystopian future—became an honorary Avenger much to his own dismay.
He didn’t exactly follow rules. He certainly didn’t behave. But when Thanos invaded three months later and Dan showed up by suplexing a Leviathan out of the sky and riding it into battle like a demented cowboy, nobody complained.
Well. Except the Leviathan.
In the end, Danny was right.
Everything was fine.
If your definition of “fine” included a psychotic ghost terrorizing both heroes and villains equally, destabilizing multiple governments, and becoming a beloved menace.
But hey. Could be worse.
At least he wasn’t totally evil anymore.
