"Are you sure?" Susan demanded. Edmund turned to her with a roll of his eyes. "No, I'm making it all up for my own enjoyment." At that, Susan folded her arms, making Edmund do the same. Peter and Lucy merely shared smiles. Not that they didn't believe Edmund, but the few times that his sarcasm wasn't directed their way, the Pevensie siblings did find humor in it. As it was, the conversation needed a bit of lightening anyway. If what Edmund was saying was true…things were even more dire than they'd originally thought. "Yes, Su, I'm serious. There's more than enough evidence that we're being watched. And probably for a lot longer than we thought we've been." He gestured vaguely with his arm in the direction of the forest and village surrounding the Telmarine castle. "You couldn't have possibly believed that Archenland would have let us escape without some sort of a response." Susan shook her head. As diplomatic as ever she said, "We don't know for sure they're going to retaliate." But even the words rang hollow with her. No, they couldn't know for sure. But they'd been through enough battles, enough wars to know if there was a moment of power, a moment of weakness that could be snuffed out, people would take advantage. It was enough to have returned to Narnia and seen how much had changed, but another to readily admit their oldest ally had become their enemy. Edmund made a sound of impatience. All the evidence was staring them in the face. They arrived at Anvard, weren't welcome with the open arms they expected, the Calormens knew where they were so that Peter would be attacked when he went to Cair Paravel, the heavy stillness around Telmar., vegetation picked clean, branches broken, prints that weren't made from animals seen around the perimeter. It didn't take much for anyone to figure out that there was something coming. They'd said as much, all agreed on it before they had left Anvard. Now Susan was changing her mind? "You always were considered the more diplomatic one," He mused before nodding, making her smile with the thinly veiled compliment. It usually took a lot more prodding and a begrudging scowl for Edmund to say anything nice of his siblings let alone the ease it came of his fellow kings and queens. "Su, we know they're going to do something." "But we don't know that it's coming from King Nain and Queen Aria! Or that they're working with the Calormens specifically," Susan pointed out. She slowly lowered herself to the seat behind her. "If we decide to go in and accuse…what will that mean about our own reputation?" It was then Lucy decided to speak up. She simply watched as the two more outspoken of the kings and queens hashed things out. It was they way they'd always worked, Peter was the one that gave the final decision, but Edmund and Susan, the Just and the Gentle, were the ones who had the most power, the most sway when it came to their political leanings and conversations. "Our reputation is that we care about our people." She paused, waiting for the words to sink in. "And not just of our people, but of everyone in Narnia, this world, who is facing injustice." "It's a good reputation to have," Susan agreed. "But you do have to agree with some of the detractors…that sometimes we ought to leave things alone to those that are in the conflict." Susan shook her head. "It's the same that has been said of the war back home." "With the war back home, we had to run out of our house in the middle of the night amongst an air raid!" Edmund snapped, eyes flashing. "Or did you forget what brought us to the countryside and to Narnia in the first place?" "Maybe that was meant to happen," Lucy mused quietly.

BUSTED

Peter Parker x Female OC

Peter accidentally exposes himself to his best friend because, well, he isn’t the brightest.

Word count: 1918

Warnings: Slight cat-calling, mentions of blood

"HAVE YOU EVER CONSIDERED THIS..." Brielle Pierce's voice caught Peter Parker and Ned Leeds' attention. "Maybe, if you talked to her instead of staring at her, perhaps, she'd say some things back." She explains to the two boys.

"This is way safer." Peter says dreamily as he continues to stare.

Brielle rolls her eyes as she huffs.

She's known these two for years, she knew when Peter was head over heels for a girl, that time was now. Liz Allan was his current fixation. He's been going on about her since school started.

Brielle only doesn't support it because Peter won't make any kind of move.

"You know," Ned speaks, "You always comment on Peter's lack of moves towards the girls he likes, I don't even hear you talk about anyone you like." He comments, which makes Brielle's face heat up.

"W- well," she fiddles around with her fork, "no guy here really perks my interest." She shrugs.

"None?" Peter raises his eyebrows.

Brielle thinks for a moment. "Well, actually, there's one person, but he doesn't go here." She shrugs.

"No fucking way! Who?" Peter asks eagerly, a giant grin growing on his face.

"Who cares? He doesn't go here." Brielle reminds him.

"Exactly, then it shouldn't be a big deal if we know, right?" Ned points his fork at her.

Brielle rolls her eyes, wishing she had never opened her mouth to begin with.

It's not like she was lying. The person she liked didn't go to the same school as them. In fact, she didn't know what school this person went to.

"Don't be a wimp, Elle. Spill." Peter urges her.

Brielle looks down at her lap and squeezes her eyes shut. She looks back at the boys. "It's Spider-Man." She tells them.

The two boys exchange a glance that Brielle misses. Peter is the first to say something.

"Like the guy that swings around in a red and blue suit?" He asks.

She nods.

"The superhero?"

She nods again.

"The guy who—,"

"There's only one Spider-Man in town, Pete." She says in annoyance at all the questions.

"Sorry. Sorry." He quickly apologizes.

The table falls silent. Brielle clears her throat. "So, I'm gonna go leave, because I can see Ned trying to hold in a laugh. I don't appreciate being laughed at." She shrugs as she stands up.

A sadness lingered in her tone. She was embarrassed. Neither Peter or Ned understood why, but she was. And nothing was going to change that.

Later that day, Peter found himself standing in front of her apartment door.

He took a deep breath before knocking. After a few seconds, the door was opened.

“Hey, Peter.” Brielle smiles fakely. “What do you want?” She asks.

“Aw, what? You’re not happy to see me?” He teases as he raises his eyebrows.

“I’m always happy to see you, Peter.” She says sarcastically. “No, but seriously, what’s up? You can’t stay long, I have work in like forty-five minutes.” She informs him.

“Right. Um, I saw how bummed out you looked at lunch. I just wanted to say that it’s not weird that you have a crush on Spider-Man. It’s the equivalent to having a celebrity crush if you think about it.” Peter rambles.

Brielle stared at him, a smile tugging at the corner of her mouth.

“Thank you, Peter. That means more than you know.” She hugs him.

Peter hugs her back. “I’m sorry that you thought we were making fun of you at lunch. I swear, neither of us meant to rain on your parade.” He says as he pulls away.

“It’s alright.” She waves a dismissive hand.

“Well, we still have some time. You wanna cram an episode of Glee into your schedule?” He asks.

Brielle laughs a bit. “You hate that show.”

“Yeah, but, you don’t. And I still feel bad.” He says as he walks into the apartment.

They didn’t get far into the episode before it was time for Brielle to start heading to work. She thanked Peter for his company and then left.

It was late when Brielle closed the book store she works at. She was wishing she hadn't been so generous when her coworker, Anna, asked her to cover for her.

Because now, she was walking alone. At night, in the cold. She was scared. More than scared.

Criminals have been running around town like crazy. Every day there was a new news story about a bank robbery or an innocent person getting caught in the crossfire of a sticky situation.

She didn't want to make headlines on the news.

Not like that.

She had been walking for five minutes, she thought she was fine, until...

"What's a pretty girl like you doing walking alone?" The voice asks.

She pretended to not hear him, she continued to walk, getting her pepper spray ready.

"Hey! I know you hear me. Don't make this difficult." He calls after her.

She could hear the footsteps getting closer to her. She felt a hand on her wrist, which made her instantly turn around and spray the man with pepper spray.

"Ahh! You bitch!" He shouts as he squeezes his eyes shut in pain.

Brielle takes this opportunity to run. She runs down the street, she has no plan on stopping until she comes into contact with the chest of someone, knocking her onto her feet.

"I'm so sorry. I'm—," she stops herself once she sees who it is. "Y- you're Spider-Man." She says nervously.

"I am, and you're hurt." He points to the side of her torso, which was covered in blood.

She hadn't even realized she had been stabbed until now. Now, that was all she could focus on.

Kind of.

"Jesus, that's my blood." She gasps.

"Yes, that's how bleeding works..." Spider-Man says casually. "Alright, I'm gonna hold you and we're going to swing back to your apartment so I can fix this." He says as he motions for her to get on his back.

Brielle wraps her arms around his neck, squeezing her eyes shut. She hurried her face into the crook of his neck.

"You ready?" He asks.

She nods.

Before she could think, she could feel herself in the air. Any apart person would've kept their eyes closed, but Brielle didn't feel like thinking tonight.

She opened her eyes to look over the city. It was beautiful, but now she felt like vomiting because of all of the movement.

So, she closed her eyes again and held on even tighter.

Within a another few seconds, they landed on the fire escape of her apartment.

"Thanks for the lift." She tells him as she holds her side, opening the window.

"I can help you with the cut. I- I think as Spider-Man, it wouldn't be heroic if I left you here to bleed." He explains nervously.

Brielle didn't realize before, but, his voice sounded very familiar.

That was the only reason she let him into her bedroom window.

Spider-Man gently cleaned her wound. She couldn't see his facial expressions over his eyes, but she knew that they had to be focused.

“So, when you swing around the city like that, don’t you get scared?” She asks him.

“Scared? Of what?” He questions.

“I dunno.” She shrugs. “Heights?”

He laughs incredulously. When he saw her face, he stopped laughing.

“Oh, y- you’re serious? I’m not scared of heights, Elle.” He tells her, not realizing what he just said.

Brielle’s eyes slightly widen in shock. She slowly looks up at him. “Oh my god.” She says in a gasp.

“What? Did I hurt you?” He asks cautiously.

“Peter?” She points at him, slightly confused.

Panic is the only thing that was felt throughout Spider-Man’s body. He was caught. But how?

“Who’s Peter?” He asks, trying to hide his nervousness.

“You. You’re Peter. You’re Spider-Man.” She steps closer to him, which makes him back away.

“C’mon, don’t be ridiculous. I’m sure whoever this Peter guy is could never be Spider-Man.” He lies.

Brielle narrows her eyes at him. She folds her arms and shakes her head as she laughs a bit.

“I can’t believe it.” She says in shock.

“Good, because you shouldn’t, because it isn’t true. Please, Brielle, pull your head out of your ass.” He begs her as he steps closer to her.

Brielle was looking up at the masked hero, she didn’t plan on backing down.

“How do you know my name?” She raises her eyebrows.

“What?”

“I never told you it. Just like I never told you where I lived, but you knew. How?” Her tone was as straightforward as it could get.

“I- I know where all the citizens of this lovely city live.” He stammers.

“Bull. That’s complete bullshit.” She laughs in his face.

Both her and Peter had agreed with themselves that they weren’t backing down from this fight. He wasn’t going to let her know it was him underneath the mask. And she was going to try to do everything in her power to find out.

“I think you’re a little woozy from all the blood you lost. You should sit down.” He says as he walks her over to her bed.

Peter— Spider-Man, sits Brielle down on the bed and kneels down in front of her.

“Now, how many fingers am I holding up?” He asks holding up some fingers.

“You are holding up three fingers, Peter.” She states with a smile on her face.

“I’m not—,” he stops himself, calming down. “I’m not Peter.” He says again.

She deadpans for a moment. Brielle shrugs and sighs. “You know what, you’re right. You’re not Peter. Peter could never pull off being a superhero. He just isn’t strong enough.” She says casually.

Instantly, the mask is pulled off of Spider-Man’s head, by him. “Brielle, what the fuck? That was so rude. I could easily pull off being Spider-Man, I do it every night. The fact— oh.” He sentence quickly trails off in defeat.

“Oh, indeed.” She moves her eyebrows up and down.

“You tricked me.” He points his finger at her.

“For one of Midtown’s smartest students, you are fairly easy to trick.” She drums her fingers on his head.

“This just wasn’t my brightest moment.” Peter stands up. “You can’t tell anyone about this.” He tells her sternly.

“I know. I know. Your secret is safe with me.” She smiles a bit as she stands up.

The two teenagers walk towards the window where he first entered from.

“Hey, you know, since you thought Spider-Man was hot, and I’m Spider-Man, through some sort of loophole, you think I’m hot.” Peter grins.

“No, I don’t think it works like that.” She shakes her head.

“It totally works like that. You love me Brielle Pierce. With or without the mask.” He teases her as he gets close to her face.

“If I say I do, will you leave?” She folds her arms, fighting a smile.

Peter nods.

She lets out a dramatic sigh. “I love you Peter, with or without the mask.” She exaggerates.

“I knew it!” Peter fist pumps in triumph.

He quickly pecked her on the lips, then exited through the window before she could do anything.

Without another word said, he swung out of the window and into the night.

Brielle stands there in shock, her fingers on her lips, her eyes slightly wide.

Why did she like it?

CHRISTMAS PLANS (DECEMBER RP)

for christmas to work properly, all characters HAVE to be living in violet springs for it to work so this is where mine will be staying/their christmas season plans once the academies close for christmas. 

BRETT

it’s unlikely dallas will be in town, but he’ll be staying in their old flat. at this point, he’s pretty used to spending the holidays on his own. it’s only really been the past year with ally where he didn’t.

THEA AND JUDAH

they’d be killed if they didn’t go home to their parents for christmas anyway. i can imagine blake and christelle having plans for nearly every day in december and i feel like they have very family orientated, fun and crazy holidays.

PETER 

similar to thea and judah, but more out of obligation :’) i think he enjoys coming home though and doesn’t have THE WORST relationship with mason and especially kendall, i feel like he’d have time for her.

ETHAN

at home with imogen, nate and emmett. i feel like he definitely doesn’t go with them to like disney’s house or anything like that on christmas and probably just sloths out at home when he’s not out seeing friends. 

AIDEN

back to his mother’s. i feel like he has quiet christmases and will probably just find a holiday job to tide him over.

ROWAN

he loves coming home to annoy his parents. he’ll be on the first flight back to violet springs on december 1st lmao.

NICOLAS

i need to work this out with meg but i imagine him and brielle come home for the holidays and they all do things as a family? they probably see maria and rory and soraya and julian quite a lot during this time too.

JAMES

margo is DEFINITELY NOT in town for christmas ever. i feel like he stays with his grandparents and MAYBE sees jean and harvey? but i feel like they’re not close enough for him to spend most of his time there.

COREY

he lives with tate anyway. i feel like it’s quiet and he’s mainly there because he doesn’t get on with his mum but they’re both chill people, so it’s not like it matters too much.

HUDSON AND BEN

living between disney x brody and kendall x mason. i feel like hudson’s used to it and has probably been with them all for a few christmases though, whereas ben, i feel like going skiing, having the massive gatherings etc. etc. etc. will leave him like “????” but they both enjoy it and have nothing against any of their family.

MAVERICK AND SABRINA

with their parents. christmas isn’t as glamorous as with the carmichael’s but they have good fun and take the holiday seriously. they’ll definitely be around.

JOSIE

she FINALLY goes home to kyle and brielle and i think she just crashes but also puts on a brave face so they don’t worry about her. i highly doubt they’d see any of brielle’s family...even elysia tbh, but they probably do see kyles? i think josie just likes the comfort of being home and not worrying about 100 other things.

LUCINDA

because of how shit all of elysia’s christmases were, i feel like lucinda gets SPOILT. el would pay for her to go shopping, on all of the trips and have all of the best things. elysia and brielle don’t speak because i think brielle would’ve taken issue with just how spoilt lucie is, and elysia would’ve probably been quite harsh on bri about how she wasn’t the one who got abandoned living with their dad, so yeah. definitely not associated with each other anymore.

LAVENDER

usually eloise keeps her away but since she’s reconnected with her sisters more, she’d take delilah into the springs to visit all of her cousins but not her grandparents. they’d probably share their time evenly between zara’s house, felicity’s house, lacey’s house and amber’s...but would probably sleep at lacey’s just because it’s just lacey and harley so there’s more space for them?

PARSIPPANY — The Parsippany High School Class of 2018 graduated on Thursday, June 21. 216 students received their diplomas after the Conferment of the Degrees by Principal Denis Mulroony. The diploma’s were presented to the Board of Education.

133 students, or 61.6% will be attending four year colleges, 61 students or 28.2% will be attending two year colleges, 12 students or 5.6% will be attending career education, 6 students for 2.8% will be employed and 4 students, or 1.8% will be joining the military.

The Class of 2018 Officers were Ethan Kaplan, President; Udhay Khullar, Vice President; Harris Ansari, Secretary and Rachel Wang, Treasurer.

"The Calormens, the Archenlanders, the Telmarines…they all have reasons for not wanting us to have come back," Lucy said. She walked over to the patch of grass next to the fence Reepicheep stood upon, smiled when she heard the sounds of the horses in the nearby stable neighing. "The Calormens have always done whatever they wanted…have always been a ruthless sort and have been difficult to take down." Her eyebrows rose in memories of her older life where she and Susan had done a lot of negotiating to keep the Calormens from invading. "Those decisions were made from all of us. But there are supposed to be decisions made from me."

Lucy lowered her head, closed her eyes. Tried her best to feel the magic that was in Narnia, the magic that surrounded her. Not the same kind of magic that Jadis worked with, but similar to Aslan. Where he was able to allow the Water God to regain their lifeforce, the trees to awaken and attack Miraz's group. There was a reason she was able to see and speak to Aslan while the others couldn't. Something she worked hard on as the days went by.

She never told her siblings, but when back in England, she worked hard to see if she could contact Aslan. Did everything she could to try and find Aslan in their world. She spent many times by herself, eyes closed, working to connect in with the energies and feelings of the creatures and people around her. And she became good at it.

There were days where she had seen animals that would run by her and sit and stare at her, where she would smile and it was like they smiled back before running away. Times where she would send a short prayer, a short message out to the universe to help her with something, and she'd get a sign in response. Unlike speaking about Narnia, the first time, Lucy knew not to bring it up with her siblings. It was sacred, special for her. Special to her.

Had her siblings noticed she had become quieter, more drawn to herself, they didn't bring much notice to it. They had their own things they were dealing with that they needed to handle on their own. They started to give up on seeing Narnia again, Lucy hadn't. Because Narnia—Aslan—had been in contact with her in England.

She could feel the magic that swept through Narnia course through her veins. The tingling that started from the top of her head down to her feet. It warmed her, made her feel even more connected to the world than ever before.

She sucked in a sharp breath when the feeling was suddenly gone. As if it hit

"Something's coming," She said.

"My Dear Friend, I'm trying not to speak out of turn when I say…something is always coming in Narnia," Trumpkin grumbled.

"No." Lucy shook her head. "I felt some magic. Some other magic. The kind of magic that the White Witch had." Her eyes narrowed. "Something evil is nearby."
