Peter Parker Soft Headcannons

• This boy would hold you hand at every chance he got. I mean he is lacing your fingers together

• Playing with your rings when you where them (not to mention steals them to where instead)

• Falls asleep on your shoulder in class when Spider-Maning was tiring

Worth My Time

Summary: You feel like Peter has better things to do than listen to your problems

You and Peter has been dating for a little over a year now and every night after he told you he was Spider-Man he would visit you after his rounds. It didn’t matter for how long or how late it was, without fail every night Peter Parker would meet you at your window. The one variable to this nightly ritual was whether you would be inside or outside of your room. Most of the time he would find you tucked inside your room with a sweatshirt on telling him to quickly close the window because you didn’t understand how New York could be this cold. But sometimes, he would find you outside on the fire escape, wrapped up in mounds of blankets and sweatshirts with the only explanation being that you wanted to be outside. Those nights were softer and Peter could feel the difference in that version of you rather than the happy version that met him inside of your room, but he didn’t know why,

Today was one of the outside days, as Peter swung up to you he saw tears streaming down your face. Quickly dropping in next to you he said, “What’s wrong what can I do what’s going on.”

You gasped sliding a little farther away from him as you wiped your eyes with the sleeves of your sweatshirt, “Nothing I’m fine, it doesn’t matter, how was patrolling today?” You said quickly attempting to change the subject you didn’t need him to worry about you he had far more important things to do.

Peter looked and you in confusion before sliding down next to you, “Baby,” he tried again softer, “you can talk to me.”

“I know and I said it’s fine so let’s move on.” You asserted with a hard look in your eyes.

“Y/N,” he prodded as he wrapped himself up in the blankets with you, your body pressing against the rough material of his suit, “I care about you, and I want to help with whatever is going on.”

You bite your lip and look out into the skyline instead, “They argue all the time Pete, my parents, it’s like they’re not happy with each other anymore.” You took a deep, shuddering breath trying to keep the tears at bay, “I don’t know what to do anymore. I try my hardest to be perfect, I feel like if I just work harder, if I can just be a little better maybe they won’t argue so much. That just maybe it would be better but it never works. It’s like nothing I do makes any difference.”

Peter sighed and wrapped his arms around you, “Oh baby, it’s not your fault. It’s never your fault, I know it’s hard but-“

“I’m sorry, I shouldn’t even be bothering you with all this, you have so many responsibilities, this isn’t worth your time, I’m sorry.” You scooted embarrassed about unloading on him like this.

“Hey hey hey, you are always worth my time. You have helped me through so much. Let me help you.” Peter pulled you closer to him and you relaxed into his arms

“Hey Pete?”

“Yeah?”

“I love you.”

“I love you too.”

While trying to fall asleep a few nights ago, for some reason, I started thinking of alternative names for Spiderman that rhyme with Peter Parker.  I have a Tumblr now, where I can literally post anything I want and nobody will care, so I’m going to write down (and rank) what I came up with.

Peter Parker: actual name. 10/10

Meter Marker: actual phrase but not name. 8/10

Beater Barker: definitely describes a person (or dog) but sounds threatening. 7/10

Eater Arker: feels like cheating. 6/10

Heater Harker: confusing mix of word and name. 5/10

Leader Larker: the first word doesn’t fully rhyme and the second probably isn't a real word. 4/10

Sheeter Sharker: complete nonsense and will probably be read as something dirty. 2/10

Deter Darker: “deter” has stress on the second syllable so this doesn't even rhyme. 0/10

“Mm, close. Probably need a look at your logic board, too. It’s still in a better state than I thought it’d be after- Ah, hello Peter,” he said, finally spotting the teen out of the corner of his eye. Sensing the impending question, he continued- introducing him to the robot dog on the work bench in front of him. “Meet K-9. K-9 Mark III, to be more specific. He used to travel with me and, er... some other friends back in the old days. I’ve just been working on repairing him- honestly I didn’t think there’d be this much of him left in any sort of repair after he helped rid a school of some Krillitaines by laser-blasting open a barrel of their own oil. Long story. K-9, this is Peter Parker.”

“G-g-greetings Peeeeter Larker,” K-9 responded, small, satellite-dish-like ears twitching as he spoke.

“Yeah, like I said- work in progress. Any chance you could lend a hand? You’re good with robotics, aren’t you?”
