i also forgot to post the one-shot i wrote last week in which edelgard accidentally eats hapi's furry skunk tf weed brownie
When Edelgard accidentally eats a pastry laced with magical herbs, it's up to Hapi to guide her through the transformative trials and tribulations of her first high.
Of course, though, it was still utterly ridiculous. She chuckled to herself again. “Magic herbs that turn you into a skunk, how absurd,” she scoffed. “Your little prank is the last thing I need on my mind, Hapi.”
“It’s real, Eddie,” Hapi said. “Just prepping you for it so you don’t freak out when it happens.”
“It’s not going to happen. It’s simply beyond magical science.”
“You’re gonna turn into a skunk.”
“I am not.”
“You are. I do this every month. It happens.”
Edelgard rolled her eyes. “This is a bizarre jape to place on top of my already precocious—no, that’s not the right word—precarious circumstances. Why would Constance transfigure you into some weasel-ish creature from Dagda? When last I asked, everything about that continent terrified her.”
Hapi shrugged. “I got my fears, she’s got hers. But Cas told her his dad kept a pair as pets after the Brigid-Dagda War and she thought they sounded adorable, so she decided to work on changing her mind.”
“By transfiguring you into a skunk once a month.”
“Yes.”
Edelgard sighed. Hapi’s silly little prank was wearing on her nerves. It was very rude for her to do this to her on top of her accidental drugging. “And what do you get out of this?”
“It’s fun.”
“Whatever you say. But if Constance’s transfiguration spell is not some prank, it had better kick in soon—it’s been hours.”
“It’s not even been one, Eddie.”
“An entire evening, and I’ve scarcely even gotten more hirsute. Ha! Just keep telling me that any minute now, I will start growing a snout, and sharp ears, and some manner of tail, and…” Edelgard wrinkled her nose and curled her lip.
She wrinkled her nose again.
Something about it felt wrong.

Pet headcanons? I wanna see that! I wanna see the widdle babies!!!
ENTITY PET HEADCANONS!!!
THAT WAS FAST-
Anyways, I’ve come up with a few scenarios in which hotel pansexuale ™ can have pets, mind you this is au material and may be subject to change and the mercy of updates.
They learn the concept of pet ownership from a book or somethin-???
Au stuff since in the good!ending au I mentioned once they owned chicken and deer- so maybe a few barn kitties Rush scooped up or a kitty Sally + Dupe owns (the fluffy fam are big fans of kibby. So says me.) or even a really soft, fluffy big dog. Soft things..are a gift for them.. the point is that they all share pet
Plus In my main au they raise Racoons that started after a breeding pair moved into the hotel via a hole in the wall, maybe Rush kept a few favorites…
I don’t really see Seek’s family owning that many pets..or atleast they’d try until Screech brings a rat or something home.? I could Seek owning a cat too..Figure? Chickens and ducks and other domestic fowl Definitely. It’d cluck to them to take care of them. Figure is definitely a fowl person.
Hide definitely gets an emotional support/Therapy dog though for comfort.
Maybe Seek owns one of those hairless cats. Like a pretty calico one.
Imagine it softly clucking or mimicking its flock’s noises in order to call them in for dinner.
Greed definitely owned a hamster, it took care of it even though it’s blind…but honestly? That wasn’t its most important possession out of all its hoard.
Depth. Depth was.
Depth probably would’ve wanted an underwater pet like an octopus or a jellyfish. Some critter that occurs naturally in the pool.
Jack? Hm..snakey snake. Reptiles. Mostly Snakes though.
Bushy in some flavor of au got a ferret. Deadass. No explanation.
Halt? Betta. :) Got that sexy sexy big tank for one little pampered Betta with healthy plants and floating algae balls to match.
“Nice Aquascaping!” Ambush says casually. “‘Watcha got in the tank?” “Betta.” Says Halt. “O-only a Betta..?” “Betta.”
Jeff…? Anything soft and snuggly..maybe a rabbit…? Okay, maybe Jeff needs a dog. Give this man a black lab or a golden retriever or..fuck it, even a sweet shelter dog and watch his heart grow. He needs it. He needs it so bad.
Dread owned doves while human which he cared for deeply. He loved the soft coos of mourning doves outside his home.
Gobby? Bug. Fucking pill beetles man. They rock. Let gobby have a little terrarium filled with pill bugs as a treat. Have him give them water via an Eyedropper.
A60 owns one of those little white dogs with brown tear shitstains on their eyes that are always on the very on crying and adores it.
A90 would probably like a turtle. Watching it swim would make it happy and bring its own swimmy instincts into high gear.
Yes, Printer skunk CAN swim btw. Not a literal water monster like Ambush/Sally but ahh..
A-120 would also like a kitten or maybe a lovebird thank you very much. Much to say, it’d probably like any pet.
Curious would probably like a hissing cockroach or maybe a Xoloitzcuintle dog, maybe a canary…Maybe a Pomeranian?? Mmmmmgmgmgmgngh in-decisive it would have a weird mix of pets.
Guiding light would probably like a pond of koi fish or perhaps an owl/falcon..? Something dignified.
Sorry if your sick about hearing about Rafflesia but they used to own a chinchilla when they were human. His name was Petunia. :)
Rue owned goats at some point..but he secretly loved the little quail chicks at the farm when he was young to the point he has occasional dreams about them..Soft..
Scatters this like pellets to my hungry little doors chickens pspssp feed now

LEPTOSPIROSIS IN DOGS
Leptospirosis is a zoonotic disease caused by the infection of bacteria belonging to the genus Leptospira. It is most commonly transmitted through mucous membrane contact or wound exposure to urine of infected mammals, or contaminated food, bedding, soil, or water.
Leptospira like to live in warm, wet environments like damp soil/grass, mud, standing water, and lakes or ponds. Under ideal conditions, the bacteria can survive more than three months outside the body. Rodents and domesticated animals including raccoons, skunks, opossums, rats, cows, and pigs are but a few of the many known carriers. Because of the broad range of carrier species, any dog - even one that is briefly outdoors - may be vulnerable to the disease.
Each year, more than a million cases of leptospirosis are reported worldwide, with an estimated 59,000 deaths. Leptospirosis continues to be prevalent in dogs, although symptoms may vary depending on the strain of Leptospira bacteria and the dog’s immune system. While some infected dogs may show little to no signs of illness and recover on their own, others may develop severe, life-threatening illness. Most common signs include:
Lethargy
Loss of appetite
Vomiting/diarrhea
Abdominal pain
Jaundice (yellowing of the skin or mucous membranes)
Dehydration
Increased thirst and urination
Weight loss
Stiffness or muscle pain
The disease may progress into acute kidney and/or liver failure. Some dogs may even develop lung disease and rapid, difficulty breathing, damage to the heart muscles, or bleeding disorders that may exhibit through blood-tinged vomit, feces, or urine, nose bleeds, or petechia (red spots or bruising on the gums and other light-skinned areas). Fluid may also build up in the body, causing swollen limbs or excess fluid in the chest or abdomen.
Because leptospirosis may appear like many other illnesses, it is important to share information about your dog’s lifestyle and travel history that may highlight possible exposure to Leptospira bacteria. While there are various leptospirosis testing available, micro-agglutination tests (MAT) are the gold standard, and additional diagnostics including bloodwork, urinalysis, and ultrasound may also be recommended.
Leptospirosis is generally treated with antibiotics and supportive care. Patients are often hospitalized to receive fluid therapy, IV medications, nutritional support, and sometimes oxygen therapy and/or plasma transfusions in more severe cases.
Fortunately, there are vaccines available that protect against this life-threatening disease. Vaccinating dogs for leptospirosis may help protect their owners from infection, too. Aside from that, other precautions should be made to reduce risk of exposure:
Avoid letting your dog swim or drink from lakes, rivers, ponds, or any slow-moving or stagnant waters, puddles, or public/shared water bowls
Keep your dog away from farm animals and rodents, including carcasses, and minimize free-roaming in rural or peri-urban areas
Protect your dog’s paws with booties if they have any open wounds or sores
WARNING: If your dog is diagnosed with, or suspected to have leptospirosis, it is important to note that any animals that are not treated completely may shed Leptospira bacteria in their urine for up to three months. Promptly clean and disinfect any urine or contaminated areas within the home, and wear gloves while doing so. Also be mindful in guiding your dog to urinate far away from any areas other people or animals may have access to.

Implementing Prevention Measures:
Prevention is key to long-term nuisance animal control. Seal any entry points to your home or outbuildings to prevent animals from gaining access. This may involve repairing damaged screens. Installing chimney caps, and sealing gaps around doors and windows. Keep outdoor trash cans sealed, and avoid leaving pet food or birdseed out overnight. As these can attract wildlife.
Humane Removal Techniques:

Types of nuisance animal control:
Nuisance animal control methods vary depending on the species and situation. Non-lethal approaches include habitat modification. Such as sealing entry points or removing food sources, and deterrents like noise or scent repellents. Live trapping allows for relocation. While exclusion methods like fences or netting keep animals out. When necessary, lethal control methods like shooting or poisoning may be employed. Although these are often considered a last resort due to ethical and safety concerns. Integrated Pest Management (IPM) combines multiple strategies for effective and sustainable control. Nuka-Town (Vault 371) 18+ NSFW
Ch.1 Rock & Roll Deathclaw Attack
Up in Northern California along the Lost & Rocky Coast there lies a large vault constructed of hardened steel miles wide and deep containing roughly 2,000 inhabitants. After a random Deathclaw attack unsealed the vault it split the population in half and nearly 1,000 of its inhabitants migrated east headed towards “Happy Camp” where they are settled peacefully now. The Journey was arduous as always, death, disease, nuclear radiation rampant as ever.
However, thanks to the Chems(chemicals) found by the scavenging parties of this happy little camp up in the hills a golden beacon upon the mountainside shimmering for all to see. Civilization had momentarily returned to the wasteland..
https://5kyeeidtal.bandcamp.com/track/closed-universes-ring-singularities-nobodisoundz-mix
Along the Way a docile young vault girl wanders into an abandoned supermarket where when looking through an old rusty locker filled with radroaches she discovers something. A square Gelatin tablet with a Pac-Man symbol on it . Could it be? LSD? She thought to herself before mindlessly consuming the tab.
Lady Jasmine BlackMarsh of the Elden Lands an anthropomorphic half cobra half shark hybrid was not born in Vault 371 but raised in it by her parents Nyuu, her father and son of Aranea, a powerful historical figure who saved their world from the T-virus long ago. She was a aquamarine colored Cobra with Beautiful orange eyes like lava and hissed to express her happiness at the world and was just generally a blissful creature. Upon leaving the old abandoned supermarket where she had consumed the LSD she headed east for many months following three full moons till she found a settlement known as Megaton. She walked in through the gigantic metal gate made of old scrap. Needing repairs for her Gold plated Uzi she inherited from her Grandparent Aranea when they finally passed 10 years ago.
Soon They were inseparable, petting each other all over town and Lady Jasmine's hissing had become almost constant. Jasmine's long half cobra half shark tongue slithered around Morias little clit and got tangled in her ginger pussy every night after that day! Though this heaven would soon turn to hell as mindless raiders attacked their beautiful megaton shack one day! They were saved by attacking super mutants whom they nuked with Morias Fat Man she had been saving behind the counter for this kind of a situation. There they built a new settlement there called “Nuka-Town” a LGBTQ friendly neutral settlement where taxes are paid in cannabis & Nuka Cola is freely dispensed in vending machines to its 8 residents.
Currently in Nuka-Town(completely unaffiliated with Nuka-World) there are 4 houses for the 4 families there & they each inhabit one distinct direction each. To the North The Werewolves, to the east the horse 'Egun' and his companion 'Esnei', to the south Lady Jasmine and her human lover Moria Brown author of 'The Wasteland Survival Guide’, and to the west lived Lady Priscilla skunk the honorary Mayor of Nuka-Town and all the other species. Lady skunk was very fussy and this is why they gave her this position to keep her and her delicious smelling juices away from the populus. Together they formed a post-apocalyptic version of a furry-like animal crossing village where weapons and ammo could be traded for items like food and water. One day a casino is constructed where they all have a furry BDSM orgy….until one day it is over-run by the NCR.
“The wasteland is still hungry, but I am the only one which can feed it,'' thought 18 year old Jasmine,.She alone can satisfy its lusty hunger.
Ch.2 Call me Judgment
Lady Jasmine BlackMash was with the Werewolves 'BadGirl Buttercup' and 'Problem Pup' who would harvest souls…I mean…scavenge at night! Holding her .50 Cal upright she kicked the door open to the abandoned chem lab! Gimme all the "Bepis" you got or I’m gonna start shooting!! Bullets were flying everywhere, left and right, diagonally, hexagonally, inside out, inside other dimensions of space and time and across the hall.
Lady jasmine BlackMarsh had been Shot through the Hood which all Cobras had upon their head. She hissed “SSSSssssSSssSsssssSSSS '' and took cover fearing defeat and even greater injury. She stitched and suitred it right then and there which was pretty “Bad-Ass” if I do say so myself.
"A little 50% rubbing Alcohol also never hurts" she thought. It did burn though …she hissed again! Though this could not be avoided for even the daughter of the great Nyuu could not withstand the pain this caused her and the bullet holes were cleansed of anything which could infect them. Lady Jasmine Kyuu BlackMarsh of the Elden Lands was a Freelancer, an ancient disgraced knightly order. As she stared into the distance she began to fall down the dry mountainside unexpectedly( Probably from so much blood loss to her brain). She quickly grabbed her snowboard (hit a chunk of rock with her musket and held on for dear life) and sled down the hill holding her gold plated musket in hand in case of a suprise deathclaw attack while snowboarding down the hill. She loaded it with a shot of Pure SIlver Bullets (not cheap)which could put down anything, they were made by Moria Brown 60 years old currently residing inside Nuka-Town after her old one was destroyed by somebody called the lone wanderer. Sounds kind of crazy to me, but that's the wasteland for yah”.
“Ys-Attan Vrsana Pretesh!!’ BlackMarsh said summoning a Merkabah of light blue which then summoned a seraphim or large angelic being to aid mankind. This spirit appeared around her.
Spirits from a nearby Vampire Den have been reported roaming on the road by Nuka Town by the local officials *cough* like Lady Priscilla Skunk The Wise always profounding the ancient mantra which I so adore of Wisdom, Emptiness, and Restraint. A perfect Trigram of human knowledge” *cough* She was the most popular girl at Nuka Town high back in 2100 A.E. which would make her hundreds of years old considering she was born in 2019. So I went with my angel to investigate; when I found a mysterious portal glowing violently purple and made of 24 skulls of humans all missing teeth and had long dreadlocks and beads with gold at the end.
At the end of a Vampire Tomb to another world where I saw another large angel (different than the one I had summoned previously)moving amongst the stars. I came back through the portal and now attempt to unite Nuka-Town, send everyone to a new reality which is non-irradiated and never have to worry about the NRC again!
I went back to the center of Nuka-Town and said to everyone “listen up, this is a conscription I found a portal to another world with a giant Lich in it I literally can’t kill it alone and I need all my friends from Twitter to help me!They called back… ok, but only because the fabric of time and space is literally threatened as we all have heard the reports of vampires from priscilla Skunk the wise immaculate one too. They all put away their alcohol, smoking, and sex toys temporarily….It took about 2 hours. I did a short role call examining everyone's weapons and magic shortly before this epic battle.
I brought them that night to the Vampire's Tomb where we camped for a moon and trained by slaying vampires which would come to feast upon living flesh. There I found the Demon slayer Egun and their Partner Esnei who was a constant source of emotional support when times got rough. The sealer D’Lee-Doe was in our ranks, with his mighty fist of holiness telling us always about reaching heaven through violence. He was a large seagull person who had trained in the art of sealing away demons with sacred chants and salt. He would pray to Kali daily with his meals as well carrying a one and a half foot statue of her around constantly to pray to it at the appropriate times throughout the day. The local mayor even showed up! That’s right PriscillaSkunk who was traveling all the way from the western most part of Nuka-Town to be there and give the party her sweet tears in a bottle! We would all make offerings of Milk to her and she was fun and goofy to be around like in a Julie Andrews ‘Sound of Music’. She carried around a big pole with over 30 bells on it and was considered the towns priest as this created a wall which no demons could ever hope to pass at whim. Egun was a very calm and reserved party member as I recall, and Esnei was very joyful and playful, always hugging you. I would give her a spank with a bamboo cane regularly. She didn’t like this much though being a panda she considered it a food fetish, but kept trying to tell her it was more that I just thought it was a great honor to be spanked in my culture however. We got along quite well after this and I learned to show respect to the mistress of “Egun The Demonslayer”.
The Where-wolve shade girls, Bad Girls Buttercup and Problem Pup had been training their shinobi arts when they weren't trying to make new synth music using old junk found in abandoned wreckage from the Arken civilization which remained after the explosion. They wore intricate masks made by gifted artisans to hide their true identity and custom made Katar claws and guillotine axes which could be held by hand and swung viciously decapitating opponents with a single blow before running into the night.
After one whole month of fighting these walking dust piles(changed for legal purposes) which came from the purple portal with 24 heads with dreads and gold at the end, the time had come to enter the portal where the large angel/ Arch Lich entity came from just one month ago. Even our chanter Priscilla knew their high leveled spells would be of little use against this behemoth collectively or die trying. We formed the power circle right before entering the catacombs, an Ancient Chanter ritual to get everyone excited through their own auras, actually a very scientific process according to Moria.
Instantly a cold chill possessed us and we all felt as though we were going to die. A golden tomb lay in front of us with a woman engraved up its outside and it opened instantly as we entered through the other side of the portal. The Lich said, welcome travelers, I am darkness, I am death, which do you desire?
I should have been more prepared. What was I thinking bringing everyone into this?!t was more than risky, insane even! However, we were more than just pawns on a chessboard, we are ICONS! I had been unable to dodge its initial blast of molten green energy dew which emanated from its casket. I limp down to a cloud which could hold me there. I thought quick wait, I can just shoot a chain out of my musket into this Beings abdomen. I shot, and whipped right around him firing 50 cal. bullets from thin air even though my arm had been melted off by the Behemoth I now call him Bethesda for around this beautiful angel lie pools of dead corpses which he would eat. Beings from other dimensions…unfolding pain and agony in every direction.
“Attack the Colossus!” I screamed to my friends, we were more a coalition of Demiurges in the reality before this one, and this was how we were going to break free, we had to keep moving forward or there would be no reality to return to. The being completely teleported out of the room and took this time to heal myself using a strong herbal potion. Meanwhile Lady Priscilla Skunk cast their spell Songweave which blessed our party with the might of the gods themselves at this time, as she rang her beautiful bells in her ladylike dresses with her fancy handmade hats. Though this was not enough as the fire had already taken my arm. This caused Lady Jasmine BlackMarsh of the Elden Lands to walk to the edge of the large room they were in and begin to bandage her arms…saving her from bleeding to death. Luckily she was right handed and it had been her left forearm because she would have been terribly crippled since she was primarily right handed. She soon realized that there wasn’t any way she was gonna get back in this fight after being crippled by the world eater Bethesda. “It was now or never” she thought, picking up her Winchester and firing its hook into the eye of Bethesda!
I hurtled toward the behemoth at a ferocious speed and before I knew it I had whizzed through the skull of him causing him to collapse as my experimental power armor had propelled me like a bullet into his skull. I almost got stuck but was able to dig out using a Mr. Handy chainsaw which I like to keep on hand in situations like these. I then sawed off the head and we hauled the body through the portal to the other world keeping it open in-case we ever needed to go back and Priscilla skunk was even left there to guard it and Nuka Town Quantum was established there that day! I also felt that I became more than a cobra that day…I became Royalty!”
Ch.3 Appolexus
Even though she had obtained all the riches she could ever want in the new “Dark World” some might call it due to its very nature, she was not satisfied and missed the old world with a passion of nostalgia. I decided to make a trip back to find some books at Morias old shack.
However I found something strange, that everyone who had stayed there was now very old implying that we stayed very young in the dark world, some kind of new immortality I am not aware of. Apparently my grandchildren are now some of the inhabitants and they use this thing called Twitter to communicate by sending terrible memes to each other…idk bro they say sometimes and i don’t even honestly know what this means at all. Now when we return to the light world people believe us to be a traveling caravan of murdering hippies who want to tear down their Pleasantville-esque utopia of racism and inequality which Nuka-Town was never meant to be. So those of us from the original world who disagree with this go and sell Nuka Cola-Quantum illegally in protest to this. After infringing on every copyright law something happens….
Aliens come to Terra and take Lady Jasmine Blackmarsh to a new earth inhabited by zombies. There she learns of her zombie slaying heritage and changes her name to Aesma J. BlackMarsh Princess of the Pistol. A real Dead Eye 80 in her day blessed with the Shinigami Eye of her ancestor <The Electro-Dragon> which was written on an old lighthouse by the shores of Bastion Poppy territory allowing her to earn this title. Upon returning to earth she starts ranching out in Fort Garland Colorado by Mt. Blanca and Moria live out the rest of their days happy together in a nice little Hobbit Hole they made together on a nice and dry rocky hill.

Baby Skunks as Pets
Baby skunk season is fast approaching. Baby skunks are properly called kittens or kits. Please make sure before you acquire a skunk as a pet you have learned everything you can about these unique animals. You must understand their nature. You can't feed cat food. you certainly can't place a bowl of dog food in front of the skunk. Learn about exotic pets before acquiring one. The exotic pet has very different care requirements.
Housing You cannot cage a skunk - ever. When they are little, it is easier and safer to have them in a confined space. These little ones are not ready to have run of the house. That day will come soon. If you have an extra bedroom, or maybe even use the bathroom as a skunk room. This helps keep him safe from harm and helps with the toilet training process. When you are sitting around reading, or watching TV, you can keep an eye on him or, let him roam around the house. Eventually, you will let the skunk have total access to most of the house.
Skunks can be very destructive; they can scratch up your carpeting and tear it to shreds. You can never, ever declaw a skunk. Their claws are used as fingers and toes. It would be cruel. How would you feel if you didn't have your fingers or toes? Scratching and digging is the nature of the skunk. Are you sure, you want a domestic skunk?
Skunk Proofing Your Home Skunks can escape out of the smallest places. I am not sure how they do it, but they can flatten out to the depth of a carpet and scoot under many things, like doors. They have a strong sense of curiosity and once out, they will sniff and investigate right into totally lost. The skunk is de-scented (scent glands removed) when you purchased him and has no way of protecting himself. Make sure there is no way for him to get outside your home. Check out dryer vents, heat vents, pet doors, there are numerous ways for a little skunk to get out. It is extremely rare that a lost skunk is ever found. Be sure to have your skunk microchipped and wearing visible identification.
Other things you need to do to skunk proof your home is to put childproof latches on all the cupboards that could contain dangerous materials or things you do not want the skunk to get into. Skunks love to dig, keep the potted plants out of reach. Look around at your low tables. Skunks front feet are very much like hands, they have quite the reach on them and can pull things down from tables and can become injured.
Bedding Material Give them soft, cuddly materials for bedding. Give him an article of clothing that you have worn with your scent on it. It will help the bonding process and assure him when he is alone. Good bedding materials are old towels, old sheets, blankets, and even old articles of clothing. Just give him the bedding. Skunks are talented and like to make their own beds. It is a great deal of fun watching them arrange their bedding. A skunk "carrying" a blanket is hilarious. They pull the blanket backward with their front paws.
Diet Make sure the skunk has plenty of fresh, filtered water available to him at all times. Skunks need a very nutritious diet. Feed high-quality protein from insects, lean meats, dairy products, fresh, cooked, and raw vegetables that are washed, the same with fruits, and greens, cooked eggs, cooked grains, and vitamin and mineral supplements. Even natural high-quality dog food such as Nutro. Poor diet can lead to many problems for example obesity, seizures (low blood sugar ect.), fur loss, hormone imbalance, just to name a few.
Spay or Neutering Skunks are very aggressive and vicious if they are not spayed or neutered. Neuter little male skunks as early as possible, when you first feel their testicles start to develop. This can happen as early as 3 months. Little female skunks need to be spayed no later than four months. If they start reaching sexual maturity, they can begin to bite and be quite vicious. A while after surgery their previous personalities will most likely return to normal.
Health When you choose a veterinarian for your skunk be very picky. Find out what his or her policy is if the skunk should bite someone. Make sure the vet has an updated education in skunks In fact, ask the vet if a skunk always carries rabies. If the answer is yes, run the other way - quick! Skunks do not carry rabies. They can contract rabies just like any other mammal by eating an infected carcass, by being bitten, or other means of transmission.
Many skunks have roundworms. You should have them tested for all worms. Skunks should be wormed for roundworms regularly. Get a wormer recommendation or prescription from your vet.
Skunks require vaccinations both canine and feline shots are an absolute must! The skunks should receive his first set at four weeks of age. Make sure the vet is using a killed virus. They will receive a set of baby shots and then a booster shot once a year.
Do not ever declaw a skunk. Skunks claws are his fingers. This is how he holds his food and eats. Think about if you had, your fingers removed how you would feel. Declawing a skunk is animal abuse, plain and simple.
Skunks can make great pets for some people. Learn all you can about pet skunks before acquiring a pet skunk. Please refer to my Exotic Pet Guide available below.

Hi I’m sorry if this is a silly question but how do I tell ‘exotic’ pets from just uncommon ones? The terms seem used kinda interchangeably in pet circles.
If an animal is domesticated it isn’t exotic. Ferrets, pigeons, mice, rats, Guinea pigs, chickens, etc. are all domestic. Exotic would refer to animals in the pet trade that have been selectively bred but are still wild, though if you want to get into semantics it technically means any non-native non-domesticated animal, but when I reference the exotic pet trade I am not solely referring to species not native to the area as there is an issue in the US with foxes and raccoons and skunks being bred for use in the pet trade and they are certainly native to the country.
Not all exotic pets are necessarily a problem though. Think most lizards, snakes, frogs, and so on as your general guide for “can ethically be kept in a vivarium if you know what you’re doing but a lot of people don’t know or care the needs of these animals before buying them”. Exotics of that category are a bit of a gray area that I don’t judge on as long as they are indeed well cared for. Parrots, primates, wild cats, wolves/wolf-dogs, corvids, venomous snakes, crocodilians, and random local wildlife such as squirrels, skunks, foxes, raccoons, owls, etc. fall into the inherently unethical on some level category. For some it’s just incredibly difficult to care for them in captivity or specifically in a household setting. For others it is because the animal is inherently dangerous to the person keeping it as well as to anyone else who may come into contact in the event it escapes.
Below that you have the truly insidious aspects of the exotic pet trade, which are just wild animals illegally poached and smuggled to sell in the trade either in a country where it is legal or a venue that won’t ask questions. This is where pet slow loris come from for example, but there are many other (often endangered) species that end up in the trade this way. Any animal taken from its native habitat to be sold in the pet trade moves to this category in my opinion. You can ethically keep a snake, but the second you’re taking one from the wild with the sole purpose of thinking it’s neat I will consider you an unethical keeper, and if you personally are the one to do it I will call you a poacher and as applicable I will report you as one.

The Role of Nature Interpreter
In my eyes, an environmental interpreter is NATURE:
N = narrator: An interpreter is the narrator of each participant’s own experience. They find ways to connect the learning to everyone’s past experiences.
A = activist: An interpreter is always in the position of enforcing policies like “leave no trace” that allow for the maintenance of natural landmarks.
T = treasure: Interpreters play an invaluable role in allowing the public to access and understand the true beauty of our world. They are an irreplaceable bridge between citizens and the world around them.
U = unique: Each interpreter is different in engaging their audiences. This means that each outing is unique for the audience and provides a new and exciting experience.
R = resourceful: Interpreters are always willing to pivot to ensure their audience is engaged and learning new things. They understand how people learn and deliver information to allow for comprehension and meaning.
E = educated: Environmental interpreters are well educated about the land they interpret. They are also constantly learning in order to provide meaningful lessons to others.
When I think of an environmental interpreter, I think of the park naturalists in a provincial park who run workshops for kids. I have many fond memories of playing ‘Predator and Prey’ or getting to pet a skunk at such sessions.
I now understand that interpretation is such a vast field and entails much more than this. An environmental interpreter doesn’t even need to be a person – it can be a well-written field guide or exploration map that allows the reader to connect to the environment at their own pace.

How I made the Cheshire Cat Part 1/3
Guide to making the Cheshire Cat
I received a message asking for this guide. I'm not an expert on making new clothing (and this is technically a pet outfit). I can't promise it's the best way. If you know a better way, please share.
The bad news - your new animal must be Sims 2 cat sized, yes you can make ones for dogs, but this guide won't cover that. You may be dreaming of horses or ferrets etc. but you're bound by the limitations of the cat skeleton and animations.
Huge credit to WesHowe and Rented-space. A lot of this guide is based on these two tutorials. https://serenity-fall.dreamwidth.org/1366.html
https://modthesims.info/showthread.php?t=208775
Tools needed:
The skunk and controller template http://www.simfileshare.net/download/2602384/
SimPE
Milkshape
Cmar’s Meshing Toolkit 1_4_9 : https://www.modthesims.info/download.php?t=481950
TRWS plugins: https://www.thesimsresource.com/workshop/
WesHowe’s Unimesh Plugins https://modthesims.info/t/122399
A new mesh to convert. It’ll be best if the animal mesh is positioned standing naturally with its tail straight out.
This isn’t for beginners. You should know how to create a new object with SimPE, be comfortable importing, exporting and editing meshes, this also requires some light BHAV editing.
-----------------------
Part 1 setting up the package:
1. Clone the unedited-skunk package using the default settings and give it a new GUID. You don’t need a description.
2. Copy this because we're going to paste it a lot. ##0x1C050000!
Go to the Geometric Data container, put your cursor in the filename box and paste the line in front of the name, Fix TGI and commit. Open the Geometric Node, and follow the same steps. Then do the same thing for the Material Definition, Resource Node and Shape.
3. Click Property set, then click on “name” from the CPF Editor list. Give your object a new name, by typing it into the value field. You could just add your initials to the end of the current name, I don’t know if spaces, dashes or special characters are okay. Just avoid them. Commit.
4. Click on family (dtString). Go to the Tools Menu up top, then from the drop down menu choose object tools, hash generator. Click the GUID option, then copy the hash it generates and paste that into the valuebox. Commit.
Note: if you edit this package later on, after you've loaded it in game, follow Step 4 again, then delete your caches, or your changes may not show up.
5. Open the 3IDR file with the instance 0x91B85990. We’re going to be pasting again, so copy this 0x1C050000
You’ll see three lines, resource node, shape and material definition. Click on each line one by one, pasting 0x1C050000 into the group box. When you’re finished, click commit.
6. Open the 3IDR file with the instance 0x00000001. This is handled differently, than the other one.
Change the resource node group to 0x1C050000. Leave the first property set alone (instance 0xB1B94A57).
For line three, the second property set, change the group to 0xFFFFFFFF Commit.

Wildlife of the Windswept Plateau
Hey I've decided to make this a series. Next on my list of "researcher documents the Flights native wildlife" we have the Wind Flight! I hope this is at least a good jumping off point for you writers/RPers/Worldbuilders!
Includes little personal notes here and there about possible uses, ecology and real-life equivalents, and interesting notes from the items bio too. Calling this series “Ecology of Sornieth” where I detail: Wildlife. Aquatic life. Insects. Plant life. ???.
Long post ahead. Cut for convenience.
Wild Life:
Balsas Anole (Able to change color based on mood. probably a popular catch for hatchlings) Plague Bat (Bats native to the Scarred Wasteland. Most likely purged for spreading diseases.) Sun Flecked Fieldmouse (Fur sparkles in the sunlight. can leap great distances and has a tendency to brood.) Zephyr Sparrow (Flies very high but is prone to oxygen deprivation. Tend to be short lived due to this reason. Possibly kept by dragons for it's plumage) Broad-footed Moles (Stubborn. strangely tend to dig in opposite directions from their mates. Possibly dug up as food by hatchlings) Cottontail Rabbit (A decent meal for dragons, probably farmed for meat and fur. hilariously large dragons might use them similarly to cottonballs.) Hooded Hen (Can be ornery maybe? A decent meal for a dragon. Probably farmed for meat and feathers.) Steppes Box Turtle (Known for the pattern on it's shell) Hooded Skunk (despite being a skunk its rather docile. Probably hunted for as wild game for meat and fur) False-Peacock Quail (Pretty plumage. A decent meal for a dragon. Probably hunted as wild game for meat and feathers) Mallard (A decent meal for a dragon. Probably hunted as wild game for meat and feathers. Note: Irl only male Mallards have the signature green hood.) Golden-Laced Rooster (Can reached running speeds of up to 15km an hour. Probably hunted as wild game.) Arroyo Toad (Most dragons have developed an immunity to it's skin toxin. Mirrors however are allergic.) Firebearer (A type of squirrel monkey. Has been observed spreading forest fires by carrying burning branches to new areas. Possibly done to flush out game from underbrush or usher in new growth in remote areas. Possibly a Keystone species?) Fancy Rat (Possibly kept as pets. Might even be given as gifts(for pets or to eat) during special occasions) Wallaby (Probably hunted as wild game. A decent meal for a dragon.) Pangolin (Noted for keeping lairs insect free! Might be kept around as a form of pest control. although maybe not by insectivorous dominated clans.) White-Eared Hummingbird (Yes birds do have ears!) Olive Sea Snake (VENOMOUS. Aposematic. Bright blue and orange coloration warns of it's toxicity. Named not for it's color by for it's curious love of olives. Note: Irl all species of sea snake are venomous. they are close cousins to cobras and kraits.) Grey Squirrel (Probably a common meat in stews and campfire roasts) Tree Gecko (Has great camouflage but oddly is color blind.) Magpie (Hunted for both their meat and hoards of shinies) Ferret (Probably kept as popular pets/small game hunting companions.) Sugarglider (A prime pest of Sugarmelon crops. Probably kept and bred as pets for their cuteness. Funfact: It's a possum!) Bar-headed Goose (Probably hunted as wild game or farmed for meat and feathers.) Crested Newt (Notable has a crest for mating displays) Emerald Striker (VENOMOUS. Contains it's venom in the "emeralds" on it's body. Probably not safe to eat due to the "venom pockets" throughout it's body) Silver Racoon (Named for it's love of silver ore and trinkets. Might be hunted as wild game.) Lesser Land Iguana (apparently very self confident. I take that to mean they are aware of how dangerous they are and probably have few predators. Probably hunted if there are no other options though. Most likely avoided due to average iguana temperament (That is to say violent as hell)) Bog Canary (Has an awful call. but it's plumage is pretty and might be kept as pets (Note: Picture depicts a budgerigar not a canary)) Golden Reefprince (A type of axolotl, has a golden sheen. typically given by dragons to someone they're trying to impress. Might be farmed similarly to Valentines roses and sold for holidays and anniversaries.) Black Swan (Probably kept as ornamental birds by the upperclass. Compete in elegant displays with each other. Probably over mating rights.) Juvenile Prairie Skink (The adults of this species perform excellent parental care for lizards when the hatchlings are young. (Note: Maternal care in irl skinks is highly unlikely. Note 2: Art possibly depicts a jeweled lacerta instead?)) Muskrat (A native to the Gladevines of the Viridian labryinth this rodent is commonly found in aqueducts hunting small aquatic life. Probably hunted as wild game or farmed for meat and water resistant fur.) Reedhopper (Amphibian. well camouflaged though makes a loud incessant croaking. Probably a common sound at night near fresh waterways like ponds and rivers.) Collard Lemmings (Has local folk stories that tell of them staring into your soul and knowing all your secrets.) Glowing Pocket mouse (Common prey to smaller predators. It's brightness indicates it's mood. Kept as familiars) Skycats (Common winged felines that guide dragons throughout the Windswept Plateau. Multiple sets of large ears implies excellent hearing. Normally catch the updraft of larger dragon wings for easier flight. Kept as familiars.) Bamboo Phytocat (Has developed bamboo growths on it's body for camouflage in the reeds. Ambush Predator. Large and dangerous. Possibly hunted for trophies or as rites of passage. Kept as familiars) Banded Owlcat (Silent ambush predators from both the land and the sky. Kept as familiars) Grassland Trunker (Small squat herbivores. Very docile. Often kept as pets or farmed for meat. Kept as familiars.) Lilyfowl (Birds who spend most of their time submerged in ponds and such. Can breath through it's plant-like growths! Kept as familiars.) Myosotis Fox (Fur is vibrant in color and displays many beautiful flowers. In the wild they most likely use this for camouflage. However they are kept and bred as companions. Possibly bred for color and flower variation. May even be used in shows. Popular among upper class? Kept as familiars.) Traveling Garden (Large tortoises with a variety of plant life growing amongst their shell. Maybe a Keystone species? Kept as familiars.) Heckling Hydrena (Possibly native to the Shifting Expanse. Unknown if invasive or just widespread. Most likely inhabits marshlands and other waterways. Apparently pose danger to stray hatchlings. Kept as familiars) Toxic Igueel (TOXIC. Coloration is aposematic to warn would be predators. Probably inhabits rocky coastlines and other marine environments. Leather is very useful in leatherworking as interfacing and support. Kept as familiars) Tradewinds Gull (Common seabirds. Popular for use in message transport. Most likely used by maritime trades. Kept as familiars) Blueridge Greatshell (Large aquatic turtles that inhabit freshwater only. Cannot survive saltwater. Probably hunted for meat. Kept as familiars) Scaleside Noggle (Most likely a riverway/lake predator for small to mid sized creatures. Kept as familiars) Fiendcat (Fiery predators that cook their prey. large and dangerous. Probably a threat to smaller clans. Hunting one could be considered and accomplishment. Kept as familiars) Bluetail Skira (Large herbivores who spend much of their time lounging in ponds and lakes. Blue algea growing on their tail gives it that blue color. Kept as familiars ) Ringlet Amphithere (Tiny winged snakes that can fit in a Fae's claws. Might be kept as pets. Kept as familiars.) Hippojay (Might be farmed for meat or hunted as big/trophy game. Probably a common sight in wind clan backyards. Or kept as familiars) Crowned Roc (DEADLY. Massive dangerous birds that can be found hunting the skies of the Windswept Plateau. Poses a threat to all but the largest of dragons(Imperials?). Might even hunt/eat mid to small sized dragons. Apex predator of the region and a possible keystone species. Might commonly be the subject of stories, legends, myths, art, ect. Hunting one is probably a great event. Kept as familiars) Cloud Chaser (Airborne cetaceans that fly through the air, possibly in massive beautiful pods. produces clicks and whistles. Groups of them might sound like an orchestra of woodwind instruments. Most likely the favored prey of Crowned Rocs. Also probably subjects of popular culture. Kept as familiars. )
Aquatic Life:
Fissure Crawdad (Found only in dark crevices. Tasty. worth the effort) Leech (Common pest after swimming in waterways) Common Minnow (can be eaten in mass quantities for nourishment. Possibly kept in dragon aquaria) Sun Baked Oysters Jumbo Shrimp (Meat has a sweet and tender flavor.)
