In addition to your post about Thom Browne, in S02 when Claire mentions his drawings in school, Carmy describes the pants as “very short pants” and “very high level”. I believe that’s also why the man couldn't refrain himself from complimenting Syd’s outfit in S03E07, given the fact the shorts she was wearing were right up his alley - high level short pants. Thom also makes similar shorts, with similar length and style, but Syd's piece has a flowy distinct aspect - they are obviously from another brand. Sydney and Carmen are so soulmate coded it’s ridiculous, we are being gaslighted at this point

Yes, I wrote a post about how much Syd's pants fit that description. I'm not going to look it up right now, but also other people have written this up, and I'll look up and repost (I don't have master posts and the tagging system sucks).

They're not really exactly like the Thom Browne pants Carmy used to draw, because Storer weighed in on that.

So, I think the point is that Carmy and Syd are already at the same level of understanding about personal taste and design (Syd's outfit is designer as well, and aren't cheap, either). And Carmy sees that already. That's she's cooler than he is.

But, Syd hasn't met the designer and can't pull favors like Carmy did to get her that custom chef jacket. Which, this show knows very well how it directly influences fashion trends since S1. And a lot of that influence is about Carmy (and people wanting to look like him) with workmanlike staples that are very expensive and well-made. $80 t-shirts and selvage jeans that can sell for $1K on ebay.

Carmy's outfits don't have a massive amount of personal expression. They're just about the best quality. Syd's sense of fashion is about her bringing the past forward, and she doesn't do fast-fashion at all, either, but she always has those t-shirts that tell us something and mixing them up with these other expensive and carefully selected pieces of clothing. So, this is also another way of talking about their modes of creativity, right? And what they really want and their pasts and their approach to change.

Syd's outfit in Legacy, whether people love it or not (I saw posts not liking it), but it's definitely a fresher take on Carmy's short pants and mixing that kind of tailored style with the giant bow, and the socks with the loafers. Syd is fresh in S3, Carmy has no flavor.

Random headcanons I made for HSS characters because they seem like they fit + I feel silly (these are very long and might go into essay length territory)(also ongoing as HSS is my obsession):

✧˚ Michael Harrison is a passenger princess. At least with my MC Solrin. I mean c'mon, he may have a car- but he's born to be on a motorcycle, he doesn't know how to drive a car for shit, he's the biggest passenger princess ever and my MC has a cute little pink tiara taped to the top of 'his' headrest, as a tease since he barely drives and always calls shotgun.

✧˚ Caleb likes to match clothes with his SO. Even if his SO is wearing the prettiest princess like dress or are wearing plaid with stripes with loafers on- he's matching them. Always. Even accessories, he just likes matching.

✧˚ Scott, the man, the legend, the dad himself- he is fucking loaded with cash. He is RICH. His train models are so good they bring in FARRR too much money to deal with. Hence why his daughter Solrin casually has a vintage 1963 dodge dart with customisation in 2018. HOWEVER, he likes to keep his daughter humble so they own a basic suburban house and he made his daughter get a job for her own money.

✧˚ Maria wakes up to cats on her every morning. Since she owns 2 cats now after adoption, they're heavily attached to her and sleep on her when it's bed time. Sometimes they do biscuits on her stomach and lay all their weight on her chest in the middle of the night which wakes her up because she can't breathe and also it's a weird sensation. She also definitely has cat hair on her socks sometimes.

✧˚ Aiden definitely sorts his clothing in his closet or clothes drawer via random things such as colour, texture, if it has print, and also what type of clothing it is. I just feel like he does, however he'll just throw his shoes in the fucking abyss when he gets home and will just know where it is. Which is why he hates it when his room gets cleaned because his shoes, despite being wherever, are usually always put in the same messy spot so he knows where it is- so when his room is cleaned he doesn't know where his bunny slippers are. #me

✧˚ Emma has a large pain tolerance but her tolerance with foods of weird textures and strong flavours are very low. She could break her leg and be fine, but if she has spicy octopus on her plate she's going to either cry or refuse to eat that shit at all. Which is a pain for Julia, but I mean Emma can't help it- some food is weird and she doesn't vibe with it. #me

✧˚ Michael is fucking terrified of thunder and lightning, to the point he quivers at seeing dark grey clouds. The loud sounds get to him, and he hates it. He has to cuddle his doggie Rollie in his bed and blast music through his headphones to get through them.

✧˚ Caleb takes it personally when he doesn't get to hug anybody. He's a cuddle bug, he loves his friends and his LI, so being denied a hug from anyone when they do something good like ace a test makes him sad.

✧˚ Sydney once stared at a kaleidoscope for an hour straight when she was in the nurses office because she hurt herself during cheer practice, and the school nurse didn't even need to do anything like talk to her or anything, other than patching her up, Sydney remained silent and staring at the glorious colourful light.

✧˚ Morgan was 'obsessed' with Joan Of Arc, Gretchen from Mean Girls, and most of the main girls in most kids shows in middle school, and this was before she knew what the term "Lesbian" meant.

✧˚ during freshmen year, Maria was obsessed with the business casual aesthetic so much, she wore full on blazers and button ups and looked super duper professional. Until everyone in her year had to remind her that this was freshmen year and she could dress up like a cat girl and no one would care.

Laddie was raised by the vamps in Beasts of Santa Carla / becomes a day walker. His personality is playful, charismatic, cunning, and mischievous. Exactly what you'd expect from a kid raised by a bunch of alternative vamps. Him and Stu act extra fruity with each other he's a level of charismatic and free that Billy wishes he could be. I mean come on he's dating a girl he hates and wants to kill this boy is so far up the river of denile in the back of the broom closet seeing Laddie and Stu being blatantly fruity makes him mad.

The three actually met after Laddie crashed a party Stu held in which Laddie flirted with Sydney and when Billy went to fight him Laddie flirted with him to playfully kissed his cheek stole a case of beer and was chased around the party before making his get away. Billy and Stu stalked him for a month trying to get back at the prick before both started gaining crushes on the punk. He's the muscle of the group. " It's not gay if you're wearing socks. My big bro David says so. "

Now for the second request.

I'm a tiny lil bit struggling rn, do you have any random Victor thoughts to share to cheer me up? Could be anything, headcanon, random thoughts, does he insist on wearing only black socks so they fit his aesthetic? Also no worries if you don't have anything to say or don't feel like it, no pressure!

So sorry to hear that! Hope everything gets better quickly and talking Vic can help you!! There’s a bunch of my random, borderline incoherent thoughts and rambles below the cut!!🩶

I’ll start with the black sock idea! I feel like the answer is probably yes; every detail of Vic’s look (no matter how small) fits his aesthetic. Playing off of that, his style seems to be very sophisticated and dark, sort of dark academia-esque, so it all begins with the base and for Vic that means having one solid color, head to toe, to build his Parisian debonair look!!

Alternatively though, I think if Vic was going to wear something a little more colorful or wild (likely after persistent teasing and prodding from Syd) that he’d limit the colorful expression to his socks or some other piece that’s not visible to others!

One thing that I almost always think about when talking/writing/reading about Vic is that he has trust issues but he’s also an incredibly good judge of character. He trusted Mitch and Syd relatively quickly despite the number of people who have hurt him, so those two aspects of being hesitant to trust but understanding people so deeply allows Vic to choose both his allies and enemies quickly and with almost frightening accuracy.

Building off of something we’ve talked about with Vic’s sophisticated tastes, if he was a car he’d be an Aston Martin DB4GT Zagato!! It’s sleek, classy, and dangerously beautiful.

I also think that Vic is numbed to the emotions of others. Not necessarily lacking empathy, just unable or unwilling to read people’s feelings as easily as their personalities. (Like he figured Eli out really quickly but seemed to struggle with determining what Eli was thinking or feeling.) However, I think the opposite is true for Mitch and Sydney. He’s so attuned to their needs, because he is their first line of defense, their protector, their safe space, that he can look at them and know what they need to hear or receive based on what they seem to be feeling.

This one is probably wrong but in my mind Vic laughs when he reads his parents’ books in private! Especially if they happen to mention anything about parenting or being good/kind to the people around you.

Along with reading and editing his parents’ books, I think Victor has lots of poetry in his mind!! Whether it’s poems he’s read or come up with himself, he has a poetic reference for everything. Sometimes he just thinks them, other times he says them under his breath, but he has a deep understanding of how life’s beauty and ugliness blend together to create reality! His thoughts are formed poetically too; he can’t just think “that looks cool” it’s something deep and melodic, relating it to whatever he considers to be the most beautiful or interesting part of life.

(This is getting long. I’m sort of sorry.)

Victor is a human cat!!!! You of all people know this for sure, but it needed to be included. He likes having his head rubbed or hair played with (he’d never admit it and figuratively bite someone he doesn’t know well for trying), he 100% knocks things off tables on random impulse, and… it’s perhaps my strangest headcanon, but Victor purrs!! When he’s really happy or likes something a lot, he can’t show it because he has an image to maintain, so he purrs instead.

If Vicious came out in 2012, and we’re assuming that Lockland era scenes were ~2002, and he was approximately 22… then Vic would have been born in/around 1980 right? Even if he wasn’t! Vic likes 80s movies!! (I’m projecting.) He surprisingly likes The Goonies because it’s about a group of friends (which he didn’t have) who go on an adventure to save their town. All of the kids also think about their parents and their wellbeing (which Vic couldn’t understand but could appreciate the beauty of). He also likes Real Genius because of course he does, he’s like a more stoic version of Chris Knight!! (It’s one of my favorite movies and I’m still projecting.)

I think if/when Vic listens to music it’s probably alternative and moody/meaningful. He chooses songs and artists with poetic lyrics and then draws even deeper connections and ideas from them.

I’m not accepting any questions about this one (LIE) but Vic would look incredible in the outfit Pedro Pascal wore to the SAG Awards. Victor looks good in everything, but that disheveled pirate look would… I can’t even put it into words, just trust me.

Last one for now! Victor obviously has a soft spot for strays, so I think if he could go back to school, start over, whatever, he may consider vet school! It still plays into his traits of needing to be in control and have an incredibly meaningful and impactful job, but he’d get to help animals too.

Okay I lied one more. Victor Vale makes people work to see his smile! He smiled when Sydney brought him back to life but that’s one of the only times we get to see it. However, I wholly believe that after that, he sometimes just smiles at Sydney. More so when she isn’t looking, but he needs to do something to let all of the words he can’t say to her get out. But also! He has one of those smiles that is so pretty it will make you fall to your knees but you can also tell that there’s more behind it, that he’s not smiling just to smile but to communicate (or in some cases, foreshadow something that will happen to you).

Chapter 1

My head is spinning, and the world around me seems to be in constant motion. my body buzzed with an unusual hum I blinked rapidly, trying to clear my vision. 

my hands hit a smooth cool surface as I gasped, slowly and the surroundings began to stabilize. It worked. I jumped to a different dimension. 

I laugh, slightly hysterically as I press my forehead into the glass in front of me, trying to slow my pounding heart as I grin to myself, Chris would freak out if he knew what I just did.

The thought of him brings a pang of sadness. he was more than a friend to me; he was the family I always wanted. 

I bounced around foster families for years, no one really wanted me.

 that was until I came to the Bang house, For the first time in my seemingly worthless life, I was wanted.

I remember the first day I met Chris. I was thirteen and still very unsure of this new family. 

 it being the fifteenth family I had stayed with, I knew not to get too attached. Mrs. Bang opened the front door and waved for me to follow her inside. 

my hands tightening on my backpack straps, I took the first step into the unknown of this new house. Mrs. Bang traded her heels for a pair of cream-colored house slippers, and I moved to take off my sneakers, staring down at my plain black socks.

without saying a word, she set a pair of dark gray slippers in front of me. I looked up quickly, surprised by the gesture. 

"Welcome home, Sydney," she said. Her voice was sweet, and her face showed something I had only imagined in my most lonely of daydreams—love. It was love in her eyes. 

Tentatively, I slipped my feet into the slippers, the soft fabric providing just the right amount of support and comfort.

Once I was used to the new shoes, Mrs. Bang waved me down the hall.

 "Come on, they can't wait to meet you." 

I knew the Bang family already had three kids: two boys and one girl. Hannah, I remembered her name and thought of how my last foster house had five girls who all despised my presence.

Rounding the corner into the living room, I bumped into a soft wall. Looking up, I saw a bright smile beaming down at me. 

"Hi! I'm Chris.”

I snapped back to the present, digging my nails into my palms—a nasty habit I was never able to break. 

Wincing at the pain, I blinked through tear-filled eyes at the tiny red slices in my palm. I relaxed my fingers, noticing that my nails were long, sharp, and painted bright red.

 I stood there, staring at my nails in awe. 

Nervously chewing my nails had never allowed me the luxury of a manicure like this. 

This Evelette was clearly much more self-assured, judging by the tight black dress that clung to the curves of my body in a way that I would never feel comfortable with back home.

I stepped back from the wall, blinking hard and wiping away the tears, ignoring the slight black smudges on my fingers. 

I clutch at the necklace resting on my barely covered chest, holding it up as I read the small screen as it scrolls through my dimensional coordinates.

when it comes to the science behind this I’m at a loss, but what appears to be an ordinary necklace is in fact the most advanced piece of scientific equipment in my dimension.

Growing up in the Bang household gave me the security I lacked and Chris was an amazing older brother figure, not only for his kindness but also for his ambition and genius. 

from day one he took me under his wing, showing me around the house, and helping me get settled into my new room.

he introduced me to his friends and tried his best to include me in any way he could, though he was smarter than I could ever hope to be he did come in handy when it came to my science homework.

and not only was he ridiculously smart he was a champion swimmer, a straight-A student, and graduated as valedictorian before going on to attend one of the most advanced science colleges in the world. 

While he was there, he made a few friends who soon became his work partners as they worked towards their final project. 

One of his partners was Han Jisung, a slightly crazy Physics major who referred to their group as ‘3Racha.’

I blinked at him, the meaning of what he just said lost on me. He grinned, leaning back on the couch I had been occupying for the past hour.

"What?" I asked, not getting the meaning behind the name.

"3Racha!" he said again, and I shook my head, still not getting it. He snorted and rolled his eyes.

"It's a play on Sriracha, and since there are three of us—" 

I blinked and nodded, starting to understand at least a little bit before he finished what he was saying. 

"And because we are HOT!" He finished, winking at me as he leaned his face towards mine.

I felt my face heat up and laughed awkwardly, looking away from Han to see Changbin staring at us, unamused. 

Our eyes locked for a moment before he broke our stare to talk to Han.

"Stop saying it like that. You'll weird people out," his voice was low and serious as he went back to whatever crazy math problems he was working on. 

Being the math major of the group, he was in charge of the majority of the numbers and statistics for their final project, a project Chris had yet to share with me.

Chris always kept me in the loop about his life, but this was one thing he couldn’t share with me. 

“not yet,” he said for what must be the thousandth time, and I all but whined as he chuckled patting my head before moving past me to talk to Changbin.

I admired him for everything he accomplished. But this project was different. He was secretive, and it made me curious. What could be so important that he wouldn’t even tell me, did he not trust me?

Despite my curiosity, I respected his privacy. I knew how much this project meant to him and his friends. And although I didn’t always understand the technical details of their work, I was proud of them. 

They were working on something big, something groundbreaking.

Chris, Han, and Changbin were an inseparable trio. Their bond was strong, and their passion for their work was inspiring. 

Watching them work together reminded me of how lucky I was to have Chris in my life. He was more than a brother; he was my hero.

Han and Changbin had become like family as well, not only to me but to the rest of the Bang family. I couldn’t remember a time they hadn’t been over for dinner in the past two years since Chris and them started their final project.

Han was a flirt and a terrible one at that, but he’s only like that with me according to Chris and Changbin, he can’t talk to any other girl to save his life. his social anxiety prevents him from doing more than waving hello to a girl.

Apparently, I’m the exception to his anxiety seeing as he seems to live to make me flustered, Changbin on the other hand seems to do everything in his power to avoid me.

I don’t know much about him besides the fact that he’s a wiz with numbers and that he’s allergic to cats, the one conversation we’ve had plays in my brain more often than I’d like to admit.

the night was cold, colder than your usual Australian nights. laid on the back porch watching the night sky as I let my mind wander to what my life would have been like if I hadn’t come here.

my brain did this a lot when I felt the overwhelming love that comes from the Bang family, wondering if I’d still be here if they hadn’t taken me in, and given me the love I never dreamed of feeling.

I’m brought out of my mental spiral but the sound of the sliding glass door opening and closing, I turn my head to see the wide frame of Changbin as he leans back against the door.

with his eyes closed and his chin tilted towards the sky, he looks handsome and less scary than he normally does with his impassive eyes that see everything but reveal nothing.

he breathes deeply before opening his eyes, his gaze meeting mine almost immediately. as if he knew I was watching him.

my cheeks warm and I pray it’s too dark for him to notice.

“ what are you doing out here?” his voice is different, softer than it normally is.

I sit up from my place on the deck shrugging. 

“ needed to cool off a little.”

he nods not saying anything, he doesn’t move from his place by the door and I sit there watching him curiously. 

“ you know we couldn’t have done this without you.”

his voice startles me out of my staring and it takes me a moment to process his words.

“What?” my voice is strangled as I try not to choke on the air I inhale far too quickly.

“ the project, Chris says you are the one who inspired him to start the project,” he said as if I should have known.

I blinked at him, shocked as this was news to me, I opened and closed my mouth trying to find something to say.

“ you mean a lot to him,” his voice had a strange tone as he frowned before clearing his throat, looking away from me before adding.

“ to all of us.” I blinked thinking I had misheard him.

 before I could respond there was a knock on the door and we both jumped at the sudden disturbance, Chanbin turned and opened the door and Chris stepped out with us.

“Hey! Mom brought out some cheesecake for us, you better come get some before Han eats it all.” he walks over to me holding out a hand as he chuckles.

I smiled and took his hand letting him pull me up as we moved to head inside, Chris went in first and I followed close behind as I past Changbin I felt a small touch on my head.

I paused turning to look seeing the leaf pinched between his fingers, then looking up to meet his eyes. his gaze reflected an emotion I couldn’t quite place, he almost looked pained.

maybe he knew what he was going to do, maybe he had already set into motion the very thing that would shatter the very foundations of my life.

With trembling hands, I looked for my phone. When I found it and unlocked it with Face ID, I thanked the lord for the technology in this dimension being similar to mine.

 Trying to guess this Evelette’s password was not a game I wanted to play. I quickly opened the notes app, typing a note in all caps so that when I faded into the background of this dimension’s Evelette, she would read it and reawaken me within herself.

Okay! My Spidersona OC comes from another Earth, Earth 2020-6-2 (This is a nod to when the game was released). They go by their call sign, Arachnis and they’re an agent working for a secret organization, The Valorant Protocol.

Their Earth is set in the near future somewhere in the 2030s - 2050s and houses an element called Radianite which is a power source used in almost everything and everywhere. There are others like Arachnis who are called Radiants which when exposed to a certain amount of Radianite, these people would develop remarkable powers (It’s basically explaining some of the game’s lore). That’s how the Valorant agent got their Radiant powers, not getting bit by a radioactive spider.

Arachnis has the usual abilities like the other Spiders. Sticking/climbing onto flat surfaces, Spider sense, faster healing factor, enhanced strength (while not using the full percentage), increased reflexes, etc. However, what sets them apart from the others is they also have fangs and are able to inject venom that is highly lethal that contains a neurotoxin called delta-hexatoxin. They’re based off of the infamous Sydney Funnel Web spider (Atrax robustus).

Their fighting style tends to be more aggressive when dealing with anomalies and luckily not eliminating them due to their line of work as a Valorant agent where they have no “No Killing Rule” like Miguel (O’Hara had to reprimand them for almost killing the anomalies). This, and some behavioral traits of the Funnel Web when feeling threatened/provoked. They also know how to operate guns and always carry their signature Karambit knife with them. Despite their work background and field history, they’re actually a chill person to hang with when not working on missions/training the Spiders at the Society.

They don’t wear the traditional tight suits like everyone else. They’re styled in battle gear based on Techwear fashion.
