wondering when eiden would have gotten good enough at plushie making to create his entire harem in doll form. ...possibly around the time blade showed up. eiden got a lot of practice making thousands of Eiden Plushies as gifts 🤣

imagining how eiden starts to do a lot of impromptu "visualisation" exercises when blade joins the roster

BLADE: but why was lil yakumo embarrassed when i showed garugaru the box in front of-- EIDEN: (sighing goodnaturedly) ok, say..um *grabs the nearest two items* pretend this cup is garu, and this spoon is yakumo---

after some repetition, eiden wonders if blade will understand better if he just has dolls representing everyone thus begins the plushie brigade

#i will assume that eiden makes the dolls in chronological order of meeting #so yakumo is one of his first dolls? maybe the dante doll is actually BETTER than the yakudoll technique-wise?#by the time dante joins the party #eiden has practised many diff forms of clan member so the creation is more streamlined #but also if we consider the millions of eiden dolls he's already made for blade 😅...#then all his lil clan members are around the same quality regardless of when they were made #eiden respectfully putting his best into every doll. trying to capture the unique charm of each person...#BUT THE GREAT THING ABOUT BLADE IS THAT HE CAN INTERRUPT AT ANY MOMENT #so imagine. that blade catches eiden making the clan member dolls #and he asks why?? and eiden explains that it might be easier for blade to visualise interactions with actual clan member plushies #than randomly assigned objects that happen to be lying around #of course blade gets excited #and he wants to help!! he wants to help Darling make cute little versions of his fave people!!!!#sooooooooo blade will get to make plushies of the clan members eiden hasn't made yet #so it is fully within the realm of possibility #that the itty bitty clan committee comprises adorable perfect lil chibis resembling their namesakes #AND Darling-statue-esque avatars of only the faintest resemblance #imagine that eiden (ever the speedy worker) actually created every clan member up to blade #before blade decides to join the assembly line #so Lord Jackass is the only blade-made doll of the collection (at least until rei joins)#dante could walk in on eiden trying to explain a complicated group scenario to blade (with the plushies of course)#and when he sees how every lil guy is normal except for HIS? ohhhhhhhhhhhohohohohohoho #i'm having a hearty chyuckle about it as we speak #replies

Final Ranka Shrine update for now...Got a frame for the last few cards and shikishi boards, and found some nice pillows for my little couch....couldn't be happier with how my little space is coming along! Theres a few other Ranka pieces around the house but I'll probably leave them where they're at....Working on the Eureka 7 collection's setup and then it'll be onto my Air Gear stuff! 💚

maybe I should get back into writing, I used to write so much more in college--mostly poetry as a way to vent (which I occasionally still do, but I never go back and workshop to what feels like a passable endpoint to that process), but a few drabbles here and there. never went for anything longer bc it felt like something out of reach for myself to realistically want to complete. but idk. maybe it's today's adderall kicking in and the fact that I've gotten relatively good sleep for the first time in a bit but what if I just tried and it was kind of awesome

#been going back through college coursework and recently went through some files i had on an old google drive #where i found a bunch of old writing. and some of it was half-decent and/or did some cool things! which is funny bc #i once went back and read through one poem that i thought was like my best work at the time and it. well i physically cringed at it #mostly bc i submitted it for an anthology thing that the club i'd been part of was pushing everyone to submit to and like.#i remember thinking that there was no theme so i could submit whatever. but the anthology DEFINITELY had a theme and my poem was not it #regardless the poem was pretty mid #but yea i'd written a lot more than i'd remembered. i'd kinda gotten to a point in my head where i'd convinced myself that when i used to #call myself a writer that i'd kinda appropriated the term. but no i was writing!!#anyway. massive theme in my life rn of trying to figure out what actually went on in college vs the story i tell/told myself of everything #EDEN fans when the memories bend and the past changes: 😫😫😫#actually yea this entire personal ramble post is actually a plug. go listen to the ICYMI album. the first song is one of my fave poems #i think i want to wormshop. woah meant to type workshop there but like. wormshop. sorry where was i.#i think i want to workshop all my older stuff and maybe then see if i can make a coherent collection out of it. i feel like i have a much #better understanding of things that were sorely lacked in many of those. like a sense of cadence in a lot of the free-verse stuff id written #of course i'll probably unearth anything i work on now in five years and cringe but thats how creating things and growing goes!

My favorite moment in "Bye Bye Baby". The family talks to Michael about his on and off smoking habits... and even Gracie got involved.

I provided some teensy weensy subtitles for Gracie's "commentaries" towards the end, since during the scene, the baby was "adlibbing".
