AKA the Forever-WIP Post

We're The Rusanya Collective, or just "Rusanya" collectively. We're a protogenic-endogenic (or, to simplify, recursigenic) system of over 300 folks, many of who consider themselves factual fictives and/or soulbonds.

We'd like to think we're some form of queer for the most part, but we haven't really had a good chance to interact with an offline culture yet (we plan to work on this AT SOME POINT but we just got a promotion at our new job and like, are trying to recover from retail & other assorted bullshit).

We like to look at pretty art on this website and read & write stories even if we don't do that much anymore and listen to podcasts. We like video games and watching TV & movies and working on our headspace & simply plural and trying to be happy on our social media while being open as an Autistic system.

We have a cat who is called Cookie. We have a double BA in psychology and social justice from which we graduated in 2020 with. We are just learning to cook in general but especially with a slow cooker, which is better for our ADHD. We actually like living in our current apartment, which has been much better for our overall health (especially mental health) which is important to us.

We don't really have a DNI but we do block if we feel like we don't want you here. You could've been a bigot or maybe you just set us off talking about potato salad one too many times.

'Kestrelpaw | Is annoyed with their mentor' <- Kestrelpaw, 16 moons old. Yeah, Kestrel, I'll be pretty annoyed too if my mentor-turned-leader seemingly abandoned me for a completely new apprentice the moment she gained her nine lives while I'm here battling a broken back, that gained an infection, for a little over half a year now.

Something I wrote just now.

He~llo, y'all (^･ω･^)ﾉ" ! I recently played some Lifegen and decided to doodle the MC (⬆️), which later snowballed into a bunch more doodles so I've decided to show them here ˄·͈༝·͈˄

As I just mentioned earlier, this is the MC. Her name is Freezepaw (she/her) and she is a warrior apprentice with the traits 'cunning' and 'always learning'. She was quite a mature kit and always checked on her close one's health to make sure they were alright but that didn't mean she was incapable of mischief >:3 She loves to learn, even if it means she pushes for answer too much and prefers if things go to plan.

As you might be able to guess, I picked her because of her heterochromia but also because of her kit traits, 'leader-like' and 'always learning'. These felt like traits that would encourage me to become clan leader and flesh out the world of my clan.

I didn't draw her kit-life, so for a brief summary: Freeze was found next to her dead, very young (19 moons old!) father, alongside four other littermates. They were all community raised, with their primary care-givers being the queen apprentice and a cat named Lilacburn (he/him). Over time, Freeze formed closed bonds with other cats (up to and including the deputy and an older healer). Freeze's desire to lead was inspired by the time the clan leader sheltered her from the rain and the kindness he showed during that, hoping to do the same with her clanmates.

Based on a 'mentor congratulates you' prompt. I will mention now that our mentor is a cat named Tanglebelly (xe/xem/xir) and xe is the mate of the deputy and parent to the queen.

Freeze always wanted Tangle to be her mentor due to xir connections to the deputy :3

A random patrol I'd doodled. Bone (they/them) and River (she/her) got drenched in rain while trying to hunt. River is one of Lilacburn's kits and, despite her lonesome trait, she and Freeze get along and trust each other.

Now we've met Freeze's mentor, Tanglebelly, and one of her friends, Rowanpaw (she/her)! Freeze and Rowan wanted to hang out with each other and Rowan's mentor happened to be sick so Tangle decided to host tree climbing sessions for the both of them.

Freeze excelled the task which had both Tangle and Rowan impressed.

Side note: Tanglebelly traits are 'lonesome', 'team player' and 'great mediator', an interesting combination. I, unfortunatly, don't remember Rowan's apprentice traits but she was a little (or should I say, big) goober ˄·͈༝·͈˄

The cat in the bottom right corner is Premafrostpaw (she/her). She dared her littermate to jump onto the Wooden Icicles (A big, spindly, twiggy tree the leader uses to make announcements) and proclaim that she is a mousebrain.

Freeze saw no problem with the dare, seeing it as a great opportunity to practice being leader as well as an excellent challenge to practice her climbing skills.

Premafrost loved the faux leader declaration.

Side note: To quote myself:

'Premafrost has a [feistiness] and a spice to her, always ready to get into a physical brawl, if need be. However, that doesn't [mean] she will scracrifice her relationships with her siblings >:3'

...I just now learned that I've misspelt 'Permafrost' this entire time. Welp, it's a bit too late to change the typo so that's staying as her name.

All of these apprentices mentors were out of the count so what did they do? Sneak off to do some training of their own :D !

Unfortunately, Parsleypaw got caught by a falling tree and pinned to the ground. Luckily, the others managed to free her but that was still quite an experience.

Side note: Parsley is Rowan's littermate and another friend of Freeze. When they were all kits, Parsley was one of the mature ones (alongside Freeze), always keeping an eye on them all and making sure they don't get hurt. In fact, when she was one moon old, she did an impressive dance routine.

I know Parsley and Rowan don't look like littermates now but that gets fixed, trust me.

This and the last two happened on the same moon, when Freeze was 9 moons old.

Here, she visits the moon place (I don't have a special name for it yet but the in-game artwork looks like a tree sapling) and gets some advice from a cat that died Moon 1.

I wonder if this advice will lead to something...

So around the same time Freeze graduated, Tangle announce that xe is expecting kits and let's just say that xir son, and the clan's sole queen, Harefern, is a little taken aback by the news.

Sidenote: Hare, in-game, has the traits 'lonesome' and 'efficiency aficionado', which describes him quite well. He enjoys the quite atmosphere when the nursery isn't occupied, not bothered by it at all, and he takes his job very seriously. He plans ahead to make sure everything is prepared, tries to pick activities that complement kits' personalities and teaches kits important life management skills.

Even after she is out of the nursery, Freeze likes to check on him, from time to time, to make sure he is alright.

I drew nothing for Moon 12 (/when Freeze was 11 moons old. Clan age and MC age have a difference of 1) but Freeze, while guarding camp, reflected on how far she had come on her journey.

Also, Freezestrike uses he/she pronouns now.

This random-ass, dead cat has the longest description I have ever written. I hope y'all enjoy it.

From BeeClan Wispkit was born into BeeClan, seasons ago. When he was young, Wisp showed a strong fascination for prophecies, seemingly able to pick up strong meanings from the vaguest of imagery. The clan revered him for that and pressured him to train for medic. Wisppaw, however, remained steadfast in his discission to become a warrior and excelled every task set before him. This re-enforced the clan's reverence for him and he soaked it up. Until he got an idea.

Wispspots would help the medics for their visions, become friends with many cats, including ones in high positions and trained many an apprentice. Then he started telling truths about incoming doom, deaths and diseases and, how, if they don't excel a cat or create a certain ritual, they would all die. Every cat, obviously, took his exact words and fell under his spell. They collected his favourite trinkets, excelled his hated foes and pressured the beloved deputy to step down for Wispspots to get the throne.

Everything was revealing infinite stars of luck of prosper… Until a trio of young warriors revealed his schemes. The clan ordered an execution on a red fox of a deputy but Wispspots managed to slip away, alongside his biggest supporter and mate, Wolfshadow, before then. While they had a few moons of self-exiled peace, to the point they decided to have kits, the BeeClan cats managed to catch up. Wolfshadow entrusted their newborns to Wispspots and tried to confront and distract the other cats herself. Unfortunately, it wasn't enough and Wispspots was slayed but not before hiding Lavender and River in a bush, where GullClan found them and took them in.

Now, Wispspots watches on in the Dark Forest.

Who knows what he's planning now…

Guess what I was up too ( =｀ω´= )

A few days ago, I wanted to check out the latest Clangen update. However, the majority of the clans I have has some level of a big plot point or story commitment that I didn't want to screw up so...

Meet AClan (colloquially known as GullClan)! I originally wanted to nicknamed it 'SeagullClan' but quickly realised it was too much of a mouthful for me

Long story short, this was supposed to be a dummy clan to transfer one of my older clans onto (before that no longer became necessary) and it ended up lingering in my saves before I decided to finally play it recently.

I also recently learned that MSP doodles are fun and a great way to warm up with digital art so I smushed that with Clangen and, boom, MSP kitty madness ฅ(ﾐ ゝ ᆽ ＾ ﾐ)∫

Also, if anybody has tips on how to export MSP saves in a way that keeps the pixels sharp and clean (& not a blurred mess) please let me know ˄·͈༝·͈˄ So far, the best idea I have is to copy & paste the save into Krita and export it from there ♪~ ᕕ(ᐛ)ᕗ

Leader and Deputy

First one up is our loveable granma: Warmstar (Formally Warmdawn)! She cares so much for her rambunctious clan and treats them all like her children (✿ >ω<)♡

Next up is our deputy ♥ I believe GullClan has a tradition of appointing kind-hearted cats as their leaders/deputies hence why these cats have the positions they do The doylist explanation is that I did not think about the cat choices at all.

Fluttersmoke is a mother (as we will soon see) and a great one at that. She also likes to aid around the camp and is overall a pretty nice cat.

Healers

This is our senior healer, Troutheart. He technically wasn't the starting healer but 'deep StarClan bond' on a healer is too good to pass up so I retconned it so that he was always a healer and mentored the starting one. (I need figure out how to doodle his bengal pelt (;^_^A )

Besides that, there isn't too much for him.

I love his name. Such interesting imagery Snowyflame is a fun-loving medic that doesn't mind getting into a little bit of trouble. He is also the only cat whose MSP design I dislike (it looks too similar to one of the warriors and feels a bit generic).

Otherwise, he is a nice guy and started forming a bond with the clan's kit.

Warriors

First warrior up is our adventurous kitty, Rathaven >3 ! He is a simple cat in the sense that he just wants to do amazing travels and hikes but sticks around the clan due to its sense of community.

Quick aside: He has a bob tail :3

Not much to say about Tallcreek besides the fact he is a little childish and can get really enthusiastic about things.

Love Antlerhare (≧ᴗ≦✿)♥ She shares a prefix with one of my Lifegen cats (one of the parents of MC #2) but she is a playful, determined cat with a fierce tongue.

However, Antler has bad burn scars all over her tail which makes me wonder how she got them (especially since the clan is located in a beach where fires would be rare to non-existent).

*chuckling* Well that text prompt describes Trembletooth amazingly. He's Rathaven's former apprentice and one of Flutter's kits. A bold and rambunctious prankster as an apprentice, he recently got his warrior name so there isn't much on that front. He is close with his younger sibling and is a cool, older brother to them.

On that topic...

Apprentices (of which there is one, who is...)

Goldpaw! Fluttersmoke adopted this little orphan out of sympathy, when Gold was a kit, and he has become one with his family. I imaged he was Tremble's no. one partner in crime and they got up to all sorts of mischief. He wants to be the fiercest warrior the clan has ever seen and be like his exellent brother ฅ(≈>ܫ<≈)♥

Quick aside: He has a blep tongue (inspired by the Odd family)

Kits

And last but not least, we have little Fidgetkit ˄·͈༝·͈˄ Warmstar is not just a granma in the metaphorical sense, but a literal one as well! Fidget is just a little youngin' but I can tell she wants to be taken seriously. Like I mentioned already, she as seem to have formed a quick bond with Snowyflame (=^ェ^=)

(Note: You may have noticed that Warmstar is listed as Fidget's direct parent. In game, I marked Fidget as Warmstar's adopted kit to prevent any potential accidental incest. That way, Fidget can express any potential recessive genes she could've gotten from her parents and not just give birth to kits that look exactly like her or Warmstar.

I am aware that this will make the in-game family tree a little off-based from what is 'canonical' but this is the best solution I could think of to express the fact that she and Warmstar are grankit/granparent. Without some super technical wizardry)

I'm currently one moon in (well, a part of moon one. I have yet to do any patrols on that moon) but I am excited for this clan's journey after months in digital limbo (^･ω･^)ﾉ"
