Luke Castellan. hands
Luke Castellan X Ares!daughter!reader
Summary: you've always like Luke Castellan, but his hands - gods. You love his hands the most
Warning: hands fetish, some suggestive jokes
A/n: I got inspo by this one Sebastian Sallow fic but made it PG-13 😰😰
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
By some miracle, Luke hadn’t noticed your unwavering eye contact with his hands yet.
The two of you had been kept preoccupied with taking care of the cabin and as a result, your only opportunities to spend time with him had been during sparring time.
Clarisse, one of your half siblings, was having none of it—clearly smarter than you gave her credit for. "You're always checking out Castellan, but it's gotten worse since we returned. Did he grow a second cock or something?"
"Clarisse! You can't just say that about him', you hissed, your face flushed beetroot red, another indication that you're staring at him, specifically his hands.
"well what got your knickers twisted since the past few days sister?" She snickered. You sighed. "Have you ever found other body parts attractive? Like-"
Clarisse gasps, "Are you attracted to his feet? You are telling me you were horny because of his feet?"
You abruptly denied her, flustered. "w-what? No, I'm talking about his veiny hands."
You nervously explained to Clarisse, "It's not his feet, it's his veiny hands. There's just something about them."
She raised an eyebrow, "Veiny hands? That's your thing?"
You nodded, feeling awkward but determined. "Yeah, they're... attractive."
Clarisse smirked, "Well, good luck with your hand fetish. Just make sure you don't drool in public."
As you continued your routine at the Ares cabin, you found yourself stealing glances at Luke's hands whenever you could. One evening, while sparring, he noticed your prolonged stares.
Luke chuckled, "What's got you so interested in my hands, (Name)?"
You blushed, stumbling over your words, "I, uh, just... noticed they're, um, nice. I mean, good for sparring."
He raised an eyebrow, smirking, "Oh, you like a guy with skilled hands, huh?"
And since that day, it became a running joke among your half siblings. Luke even started teasing you about his "magic hands." Despite the embarrassment, you found yourself enjoying the exchanges.
One day, as you and Luke were alone in the cabin, he looked at you curiously. "Seriously, what's the deal with my hands?"
You took a deep breath, confessing, "I just find them... attractive. It's weird, I know."
Unexpectedly, Luke grinned, "Well, (Name), I never thought I'd have someone crushing on my hands, but I'm flattered."
Your cheeks burned, but you both laughed it off. Your crush on Luke's hands had become a well-known joke.
During a particularly heated sparring session, Luke couldn't help but notice your lingering gazes at his hands.
With a sly grin, he remarked, "Enjoying the view, (Name)? My hands are pretty skilled, aren't they?"
You bit your lip, feeling a rush of embarrassment. "I...uh, they're just, you know, interesting to watch during training."
Luke chuckled, "Interesting, huh? Well, if you're into skilled hands, maybe you'd like a closer look."
Your heart raced as he extended his hand, teasingly offering it to you. Clarisse, shouted from the sidelines, "Go on, (Name), give those magical hands a touch!"
Blushing furiously, you hesitated for a moment before tentatively taking his hand. The contact sent a shiver down your spine, and Luke's playful expression turned into a more knowing smirk.
Luke would purposely use his hands more during training, making sure you had a front-row seat to the display. The other campers caught on, and your crush became the subject of good-natured teasing.
You and Luke sat by the lake, he leaned in with a mischievous glint in his eyes. "You know, (Name), there are other ways to appreciate skilled hands."
You shot him a questioning look. Luke's fingers traced patterns on your palm, sending a delightful shiver through you. "Just a thought," he whispered, his voice low and suggestive.
From that point on, your interactions with Luke took on a subtly flirtatious undertone. Whether it was a lingering touch during training or a shared secret glance.
The chemistry between you two intensified. Clarisse, sensing the change, simply rolled her eyes, muttering, "Finally catching on, huh?"
The flirtatious tension between you and Luke continued to escalate, turning each training session into a delicate dance of suggestive glances and teasing touches.
Clarisse and Annabeth (for some reason the both of them work together to tease you and Luke everyday), who had initially been the instigator of the whole affair, now simply smirked knowingly as the two of you exchanged moments.
Luke were sparring under the shade of the trees, he shot you a wicked grin. "You know, (Name), my hands aren't just good for holding weapons. They have other talents too."
You raised an eyebrow, playing along, "Oh really? And what talents might those be?"
He leaned in, the playful glint in his eyes never fading. "Oh, they're full of surprises. Want me to show you?"
Clarisse, observing from a distance, couldn't resist shouting, "Careful, (Name), you might not be able to handle the Castellan hand magic!"
That night, as you found yourselves alone in the Ares cabin, Luke leaned against the wall, his eyes locking onto yours. "So, (Name), any specific requests for my hands tonight?"
You pretended to think for a moment, then with a mischievous glint, replied, "Maybe a demonstration of their massage skills?"
He stepped closer, his proximity sending a thrill through you. "Well, if you insist."

I love the way they've changed Luke's character in the show.
SPOILER for if you want to read the book, but Luke originally poisons Percy with a pit scorpion when he won't join him and fully intended to leave him for dead.
In the book, he's out for blood, and it's easy to hate him when he hurts people whenever they're in the way. But here, he's just a kid thinking he's doing the right thing and is saving those he cares about from more suffering at the hands of the gods. He doesn't want to hurt Percy and even seems to regret it before he runs off.
I think it's easier to sympathize with him this way, and his character won't be chalked up to simply "evil." The thing is, Luke isn't wrong about the gods. He isn't wrong to feel that way about them. But the way he goes about changing things IS wrong, and I think this change will help people remember that as the show goes on.
With this change, though, I can see him slowly devolving over the next 4 seasons. He'll have good intentions at first, but eventually, he won't care about anything as long as the gods pay. And he won't realize just how far gone he is until it's too late.

boruto rewrite where the show actually still focuses on the original characters from naruto, but we're seeing them face their struggles that come with being adults in the society they live in and after going through what they did. their children are also in the show and we're given their perspective on the events compared to their parents'.
the overall plot revolves around naruto trying to change the shinobi system. he knows first hand how terrible the repercussions are when children are forced to be soldiers, and now that he's the hokage, he finally has the power to change it.
the only problem is, not everyone agrees with him. many believe by changing the age that shinobi begin their training, they won't be as strong later on and the village will become weaker over the years. not only that, but some people just don't understand why naruto feels this way. they were shinobi all their life and they turned out just fine — why fix what isn't broken?
it causes conflict within the cast and allows us to delve into each character more, showing why they feel the way they do and how their experiences have built up to the person they are.
besides that, other characters get their own storylines as well that connect with the theme of recovering from trauma.
gaara realizes that he's only ever lived for his village — as a soldier, a weapon, the kazekage. he works himself to the bone for his village while ignoring his basic needs, still having not realized he's a human just like everyone else. when he gets shinki, he realizes what it's like to prioritize something; what it's like to nurture and love.
sakura works at a hospital for young shinobi, doubling as both a healer and a therapist of sorts. she listens to the children tell their stories and gives them a shoulder to try on. she saw what being alone did to her teammates and she doesn't want any other child to go through what they did.
during her time at the hospital, she slowly begins to see pieces of herself within her patients. her trauma, which she's always pushed away and ignored, starts to come out. she's forced to face these memories she's always tried to bury deep. she struggles with understanding it as well as feeling validated compared to what naruto and sasuke had to go through.
she also struggles with her marriage to sasuke as she starts to unpack all the terrible things he's done to her. she's knows why he did them and she can justify his actions as much as she wants, but it doesn't change the fact he traumatized and tried to kill her at one point.
hinata's would focus on the hyuga. she's an outsider to them without any power. when she was stripped of her title and allowed to marry naruto, she thought it was a dream come true. she was so confident that hanabi would change the clan, that the branch system would be destroyed and neji wouldn't have died in vain.
only, without hinata, hanabi began to crack under the pressure of the elders and her father until she became just like them. the seal system is still in place, the branch families are still treated as servants.
it's a lot about generational trauma. how no matter how much hinata tried to change things for hanabi, she was always destined to fall into the same path as her father. only by recognizing this and making the changes her family refused to do in the past, are they able to change things.
i think there could also be something about how once, a long time ago, hiashi had wanted to change the hyūga. he wanted to dispel the main/side branch family system so his brother could be free. but overtime, he became complacent — very similar to hanabi.
as for the kids, i would show the differences between them based on how their parents feel about them being raised as soldiers.
for example, shikatema would have no problem with the shinobi system (at first) and their child would be entered into the academy and ready to become a ninja.
boruto, however, was raised by parents who want to change the system and hate the senseless violence, therefore he was not enrolled. this causes him to have some resentments for his parents as he's in the minority of children who aren't attending the ninja academy. he's viewed as a weak and soft-hearted by his companions and he hates it. maybe he goes against his parents and attends the academy in secret somehow.
there's a lot you can do with each character, honestly. i won't go further into it unless asked, but here's my main thoughts. i have a lot of idea with how to conclude the arcs as well, but i'm not sure how people would feel about it.
gaara stepping down as kazekage and leaving suna, sakura divorcing sasuke as she realized she never truly loved him romantically, hinata becoming the hyūga head/disbanding the hyūga, etc. many ideas.

Ok but Percy's Smart as hell, You can see How he's thinking beyond when Luke and Annabeth tell him they can't blame Clarisse, he knows something doesn't add up.
Whoever said on Tumblr that he knew it in his mind but didn't accept it in his heart, was completely right

PJO ep 8 (season finale)
Oooooh!!
I liked it so much!!
The pearls taking them to Montauk instead of Santa Monica is perfect and solves the flying problem.
No curse from Ares?? Like what are they gonna do when season 3 rolls around???
THAT POSEIDON AND PERCY SCENE I CRIED
Ok, the Luke "betrayal" scene was perfect better than the book. I love that Luke really doesn't seem like he actually wants to kill Percy. You can see the confliction on his face! It's soooo so good!!
Ooh Sea of Monsters teasing
Thalia call back (i like that the tree actually looks like a person frozen in place)
Annabeth's hair in her last scene *chef's kiss*
Sally writing down Percy's dreams? Perfect
What happened to Gabe?!? Oh wait Nevermind
Very good episode, probably my favorite.

You didn't choose to be demigods. We didn't choose this quest. But we can decide that as long as the three of us are together, none of us are gonna be alone.

Imagine him regretting his decision on helping Kronos, like yes overthrowing the gods because they couldn't care less about their child is what Luke is after but you? He can't just leave you behind just like that could he?
An AU where campers is allowed to have a phone at CHB and Luke used that as an advantage to communicate with Reader even though he knows it's going to break his and reader's heart?? LIKE YES PLS.

My take was all of the above, AND Annabeth is a reminder of his promise to Luke, to never let it happen again. He knows he has to use this opportunity to help his fellow half-bloods, and in doing that, he's choosing life for them all.
i'd argue the whole 'did percy reject godhood bc of annabeth' thing is more of a 'in a way yeah' situation rather than being a straight yes or no answer
when percy rejects godhood he's choosing to live the life of a demigod, he's choosing them and that life over the gods
to percy, annabeth is the person who best represents that life
she's the first demigod he ever meets, she's the most consistent demigod presence in his life, she's been with him through the worst and best parts of it, she's the one he's closest to by far
to percy she's the one who best understands what it's like to try to live this life of towing the line between the mortal and godly
and in that throne room he looks back at her, at everything she represents, remembers all the other demigods who died as they so often do and he rejects the offer; he looks at her and thinks of everyone and says 'no, I'm choosing them, I'm going to see this life out'
so while I dont think 'percy choose annabeth over immortality' is so simple and straightforward I do think his choice to look back at annabeth before he made his decision is significant in his relationship with her

thinking about disabled hinata...
a lot of people headcanon that she has heart complications after the chuunin exams (something i'm also a fan of), however, i also like the idea of hinata have a disability before then.
i think having hinata be born with a disability — a chronic illness, i'm leaning towards — would both make a lot sense and also add some more depth to certain aspects of her character.
it could explain why she struggled so much with certain parts of the hyūga technique, as well as be a reason her family viewed her as inferior and weak. some sort of heart condition would work well — something that makes it hard for her to go on for long periods of time as well as gets worse whenever she's stressed.
this would frame her fight with neji in a new light. he didn't exactly look down on hinata for her disability, but he didn't believe she could ever be capable of a ninja because of it. she grew to be worse during their fight as her stress increased, and neji's final blow towards her heart would have a more personal impact.
hinata being so kind and calm all the time can also be a bit of a treatment for her, helping her keep her heart stabilized. she doesn't allow herself to get worked up because she knows it hurts her as well, not to mention the constant "careful hinata, your condition" comments she's received.
despite this, she still perseveres. she becomes a ninja, develops her own technique, and even grows to have the best eyes of her clan. she's disabled, but she's not incapable. she struggles and has moments where she feels like it's helpless, but she continues to do her best because she knows her condition doesn't define her — it's merely a part of her identity, just like being a shinobi is.
