Hi everyone! Here's a tickle fic sneak peak for SethoScara! Sorry I can paste it directly here. I'm on vacation for two weeks so I'm not going to be at my computer.

Yes, that is an iPod Touch 2nd Generation that I'm writing the fic on :) I'm trying new ways to make it easier and more fun to write. (And to detach from my phone 😅)

I'm thinking for this writing, it will be two parts, if not three, so 🥳

Below is a thank you to you all for engaging with my blog ❤️ and my change in leaving comments on other tk writers fics to encourage myself to read more 📖

I also want to thank everyone who asks for requests or posts/submit tickle ideas like headcanons. This isn't limited to my blog but everywhere where tickling applies. We essentially bounce ideas off one another and either writers, artists, readers/viewers, and others will do something with those ideas and make something out of it.

It also helped me grow as a writer. Knowing I have an audience makes me feel good and confident about myself, so I want to thank you all :)

And on top of that, reading other tickle fics and looking at tickle art is really what got me here in the first place, so thank you to those who have inspired me to get this far.

I will be honest, I fell off reading tickle fics ever since I started the blog. The reason being is I have this rule in me to give comments to every fic I read and I dread it. I know the power of comments and I want to provide detailed comments and all that, but to me, commenting in large amounts takes the joy out of reading and most of the time, I just want to enjoy the feeling of reading and the imagery I get from reading. To add on to that, my one of my irl friends read one of my fics and just gave me a simple "I like your writing with these two and their laughter is conveyed so well with the GAHAHA," and to me that simple comment just filled me up with joy and made me realize you don't need to go over the top in leaving a comment for someone. It might be better to keep it simple like "I love your work." Simple words like that have a big and meaningful impact that's hard to describe.

So, to get back to reading tickle fics and reblogging what I read, I'll limit my comments to either one or two sentences or none at all. Doesn't mean I don't like it or anything it's just either I don't have the time or not feel like commenting BUT I really do care and like your work! If you want comments, feel free to ask me what I think and I'll write something up.

I hope you all understand my thought process on that. And thank you for sticking around till the end, I appreciate it ❤️😊.

I havent actually posted in forever and 99% of my energy is going to my ocs, so you guys get to have these funky looking “Episode Thumbnails” I made for funsies (click for better quality!!!)

I spent about 2 hours making all of these and it was like, REALLY fun! I’m working on some more of these but for Prison of Plastic too! Please suggest what chapters I should do (currently made chapter 1,2, 5, and 12!)(I’m not doing chapter 6 though, fuckin HATE that stupid ass scaregrow and how annoying it is to make the bg…)

As much as I love the show I NEEDED to redesign him… just a bit

Hot take, apparently, but

a) Percy's hair in TLOVM isn't that bad. It's simple and effective and the built-in shading really helps give dimension to his head. And, more importantly...

b) consider that in the earlier concept art, he does have cool hair. So the hair he ended up with was a conscious choice by Taliesin and Phil Bourassa (and any other artists involved in the process).

Look. He went from this...

It doesn't seem all that easier to animate (and if Percy being a pain in the ass was an issue, wouldn't the simplified coat/etc. already accomplish that?), but the main thing that stands out is how much younger it makes Percy look.

Which, y'know, is important, given S1 focuses on his trauma suffered as a teenager. Which was not all that long ago.

He is young, the second youngest of Vox Machina! And a core part of Percy's character is that, despite thinking he and Vex are the only adults in the room, he is not nearly as mature as he thinks he is. Which is also apparent in his more silly moments in S2, which are also complimented by the more boyish hairstyle.

Percy shouldn't be taken too seriously, which I think is emphasized by how much Taliesin makes a point to underline his flaws and bully the character when he can. With the gunslinging and shock-white hair and cool coat and shadow demon and a castle to put it all in, he's already bordering on too cool; making him look like a stud when he's really just a nerd would make it harder to pull off comedic moments with him. On top of emphasizing the horror of what happened to him at the hands of the Briarwoods and Ripley; he's still so young.

And as an audience we need to be reminded of that when he's pulling off a cool pose or trying to flirt with Vex or getting all raspy with the Orthax voice.

Anyways, art is subjective, but Percy as a character walks the fine line between 'coolass anime protagonist' and 'cringefail nerd' and I think the artists and Taliesin knew what they were doing refusing to let him be too #badass or #hot when he's an early-mid twenties nerd wailing that he's very flammable and sniffling pathetically after giving a girl he coat.

I could say that ASOIAF is a very medieval lit story at heart and you’d be like, “well no shit Sherlock, tell me something I don’t know 🙄”.

And I’d say: “Ok bet. ASOIAF’s medieval core is best exemplified through Jon Snow and Bran Stark, two distinct yet mirrored iterations of one hero-knight whose origins can be traced to Percival and his magical quest. Both are Percival (and both are potentially the grail king) but one is as close a 1:1 copy as we can get (Jon) and the other is the Percival archetype completely flipped over its head before it even begins (Bran). Jon, by the author’s own admission, is the fantasy hero in the most traditional sense. He’s Percival who was inspired by the knights and left his mother’s castle to chase after chivalric glory (Jon III AGoT), only to find out that he has a massive misunderstanding of the knight’s purpose and honor (ACOK/ASOS arcs). No one told him of the ethical dilemmas involved with being a knight. No one told him that he could meet the fair maiden and either be completely incapable of helping her (Gilly) or help her, leave her, and be burdened by her death (Ygritte). No one told him how hard it would be to have his entire world view upended and upon going back to his fellow knights and saying ‘hey friends maybe we should all re-evaluate the system in which we operate and how it might be causing us to betray the vows we swore’ he’d be met with disdain. No one told him that, like Percival, he might look back to his mother’s home and see what has become of it (and his sister whom he left) and upon making the decision to go back to it he dies before he can even get his foot out of the gate. Percival made it back home and Jon might too, but where Percival still had his mother’s shirt to remind him of his boyhood Jon had to kill the boy because the fate of the world depended on it. Jon stumbles and rises, only to stumble again. But nonetheless, he gets to be a knight. But on the other hand, there’s poor Bran! He doesn’t even get to fail at being a knight in the first place because that storyline was fucking taken from him before he could realize his dream of leaving his mother’s home. Jon at least got his call to action. Bran’s dazzling dream of knighthood doesn’t even get off the ground (quite literally). He climbs, falls immediately, and once his eyes are awakened he realizes that he is now incapable of being Percival as he’d wish to be. There’s no battling evil knights. There’s no saving fair maidens. But then he’s visited by a wizened old man who’s like ‘hey Percival, you can never be a knight but I’ll teach you how to be a mighty wizard!’ And that would be cool and all….BUT BRAN WANTS TO BE A KNIGHT GODDAMNIT! When he auditioned for the medieval lit play, he picked up the Percival/Arthur script. Yet that’s not what he ultimately got when the cast list finally got out. Because who the fuck switched it out his hero-knight script for the Merlin one??! So now he has to try and figure out how to be a knight who’s actually a wizard, and it fucking sucks y’all.”

heyo, I just stumbled on your Spectrum and Vigilante AU stuff, and was curious where ya got the idea for Spectrum from? I don't really interact with the empires fandom much, so if there's some general fandom history behind it from when that season was ongoing, I'm outta the loop, looks really cool though!

So spectrum is based on Chromia Scott! I made his power be colour manipulation cus his empire was very colourful. One of my friends suggested that he could hypnotise ppl with his colours (cause I had no clue how he'd use his powers to be a villain) and the rest is history! Most of Spectrum's stuff I've just made up as I've gone along LOL
