Who is the biggest gamer out of the LIs and the besties?

Perce. He’s just really into it and probably has the biggest collection and time sink into them. Plus I think he fits the typical idea of a gamer. Staying up late, ignoring assignments just to game, downing energy drinks, getting emotionally invested in the story, memorizes every lore… yeah…

If Deja cared about video games outside of simply wanting to beat/be the best at them then I think she might’ve snatched the title from him. But alas— she only games because she’s competitive.

Coyote Tales of the Apache

Coyote is easily the most famous trickster figure in the lore of the Native peoples of North America, and the Coyote tales of the Apache are among the best-known. As a trickster figure, Coyote appears alternately as a hero, villain, wise man, and fool, but his stories always involve some form of transformation.

This transformation can be dramatic, such as the introduction of death to the world, or stealing fire from the birds to share with other animals, or simply a shift in self-image, as in the tale where Coyote tries and fails to capture Turkey. The Coyote tales of the Apache share similarities with the Wihio tales of the Cheyenne, the Iktomi tales of the Sioux, the Saynday tales of the Kiowa, Manabozho tales of the Ojibwe and other Algonquin people, Glooscap tales of the Wabanaki Confederacy, Blue Jay tales of the Chinookan peoples, Coyote tales of the Shasta nation, Nih'a'ca tales of the Arapaho, and Rabbit tales of the Cherokee; though, in many of these, he is not the main character.

He features as the central character, however, in the same sort of trickster tales from the Navajo, Nez Perce, Paiute, Pawnee, Salish, Shoshone (Shoshoni), Ute, and many other nations. In Pawnee literature, he is featured in the popular tale, The Girl Who Was the Ring, where he plays the Native American ball game chunkey (tchung-kee) to rescue a girl he endangered in the first place.

Coyote's motives may not always be in the best interests of others, though they can be, and he is frequently depicted as a cunning conman, gambler, and thief, but, as noted, his tales always involve some form of transformation. Their intention, or one aspect of it, is to offer an audience the opportunity to examine their own behavior and, perhaps, make an effort to change when they do not like what they see.

The following tales are taken from Myths and Tales of the Chiricahua Apache Indians (1942) by Morris Edward Opler, republished by Bison Books in 1994. The five stories below are among the most popular Coyote tales of the Chiricahua Apache, though they are also told by other Apache bands as well as citizens of other Native American nations.

Coyote Causes Death

Raven said that he did not want death in this world. "I'll throw a stick in the river. If it sinks, there is going to be death, but if not, everything will be all right," he said.

Then Coyote came along and said, "I'll throw a rock in the river. If it sinks, people will die. If it doesn't sink, there will be no death."

Raven threw the sticks and they floated off. Then Coyote threw the rock, and it sank. After that, people began to die off.

Coyote Steals Fire from the Birds

In the beginning, no one but the birds had fire. No others had it; no fire was allowed to any of them. And these birds had a fire in one big place only, on a big bluff, a round bluff, I guess.

Coyote was coming from over this way, running around. He came to the place where the children of these birds were shooting arrows. And he began to play with those boys up on the side of the mountain where the bluff was, shooting arrows. He won all the arrows from those little boys.

He asked these children, "Do you boys know the path that leads over this bluff?" And he also said, "I know it. There's a place to go right over the bluff. I know where to go up." He didn't know it himself, but he wanted the boys to tell him about it. He just said this to get one of them to tell him so he could steal the fire.

The boys told him, "Our parents told us not to let anybody know where that path is."

"Well," he said, "I'll give half of these arrows to any boy who can tell me the way to get over this bluff."

But those children said, "No, our parents told us not to tell anybody."

He then said, "I'll give all the arrows to anyone who can tell me where you go up on the bluff."

Then the youngest boy there told him, "I know what to do and what to say to get over that bluff. You see that pinon tree just on the edge of that bluff? You tell that pinon tree to bend down over you, and then it goes up with you and you get up on the bluff."

Instead of giving that little boy all the arrows, Coyote gave him half of them and started for that tree. He wanted to be sure of it. And he went to that bluff over there and told the tree to bend down. It bent down four times, and then he was sure of it. Then he was certain he could go up on that pinon.

And he went down where those birds were on the big bluff there. He mad an announcement to those people. He said, "Around this country they have killed all your enemies. They have told me to come down and tell you to have a big celebration tonight."

And they listened closely to him and said, "All right."

So, when night came, they all gathered together. And they made four big rings around the fire of different classes of birds.

Then Coyote went away and pulled the bark off the juniper tree, the softest part, and he tied it under his tail so he could catch the fire with it.

Then they began to have the dance. Coyote got right in the middle, close to the fire, and he was dancing there by the fire all by himself. Every now and then he stuck his tail in the fire while they were having a good time. One of the birds told him, "Old man, you're going to burn your tail." And every time he put his tail in the fire, he looked back to see if it had caught fire.

They said to him again, "Old man, you're going to burn your tail."

And he answered, "Let it burn!" He said, "I feel so happy because all our enemies have been killed! I feel so happy, that's why I act this way."

But some of the birds suspected him. They said, "Friends, he is trying to get away with our fire."

And the coyote said, "I'm so happy! It's my way. I'm celebrating."

Then he stuck his tail in the fire and held it there a long time and looked to see if the fire had caught on the brush he had there. Then he jumped over those four lines around him. His tail was on fire. And he ran with that fire. He dashed for that bluff where the pinon tree was, and he set fire to objects all over the country where he traveled. Some of those birds were hard at work trying to put out that fire. They were after him, and some were trying to put out the fire. But the wind began to blow, and the fire spread everywhere.

They couldn't put out the fire. Then they begged either Wasp or Hawk, I forget which one, to make it rain. And so it started to rain very hard. The rain was putting out all that fire.

But the coyote still had some fire burning. Coyote gave the fire to Bumblebee in a hole in a tree somewhere. And Bumblebee kept that fire in a hollow tree, kept it out of the rain. That's how they got fire, they say. And the Chiricahua used to say, "Under the coyote's tail it is scorched yellow." They say this is what caused it. And there is black on the end of the coyote's tail where it was burned.

Coyote Shows How He Can Lie and Steals a Mule

Well, this one coyote could tell more lies! All the other coyotes came to visit him. And these other coyotes said to him, "Old man, tell us how you lie and how you make people believe your lies."

This coyote said, "It costs a great deal to learn how I lie and how I make others believe my lies. I like knowing how so much that I don't want to tell anybody. It is very valuable to me."

So the coyotes said, "We will give you anything you ask for if you will tell us."

"Well, it's going to cost you a good white horse with a new saddle on it and silver-mounted spurs. That's what it is going to cost you to find out how I lie and make people believe me."

Instead of a white horse, they brought him a fine-looking white mule which belonged to one fellow. It had a new saddle on. Coyote took it and began whipping it and trying to make it balk.

He said, "This mule doesn't act right. This mule is still balking for something."

Then they asked him, "What's he balking for?"

He said, "You must put something under this saddle. It's got to be a find saddle blanket."

Then he got off and they put a saddle blanket on the mule. He got on it again. He was whipping it and holding back on it at the same time on purpose. It would not move.

Coyote said, "This mule is still balking for something more."

They asked him what it was.

He said, "A silver-mounted bridle."

He got on the mule again and began whipping it a little and letting it take one or two steps at a time and then pulling back on it.

Again, he said, "this mule is still balking for something."

They said, "What is it?"

He told them, "Silver-mounted spurs."

Then Coyote thought he had everything he could ask for, and he spurred the mule and rode out and left the crowd. He never went back over there and went off to a distant place where some other coyotes were playing hoop and pole. And he lost everything over there in the game and left that part of the country.

Variant Ending

Coyote knew that the man from whom he had got the mule had a gun and a horse. He wanted these. So he painted the mule black and took it back to the man next day. He said to the man (who now needed a mule), "I'll trade you this black mule for your horse and gun with ammunition."

The man traded. Coyote went off with the gun and horse. He had traded the man's own mule back to him for these.

Pretty soon, it began to rain. The paint was washed off the mule and the man saw that it was his own mule. Coyote took the gun and horse to the hoop and pole grounds and there lost them gambling at hoop and pole.

Coyote Escapes Being Flayed by Inducing Another Coyote to Take His Place

This coyote had been doing a lot of mischief around a certain ranch, killing calves, or sheep, or goats, I guess, and these people went after him and ran him down and caught him. Then they took him home and they tied him up.

Then along came another coyote and asked him, "What are you doing here with that rope on you, tied up?"

"Why, these people love me so much that they feed me well here and give me everything I want. They promise that they're going to give me the very prettiest girl they have tomorrow. These people really like me very much. If you want to, you can take my place. You can get that girl if you want to. She's supposed to be a very pretty girl," he said.

Really, the people were going to skin Coyote, take his hide off, and turn him loose. That was the plan of those people as I heard the story long ago. They were going to do it next day. But this second coyote believed the story about the girl and was very eager to be tied there.

"Well then, untie me."

He untied Coyote and was tied there instead.

Some say that the people took this coyote's hide off. Others say that they put him in boiling water. I don't know which is true.

Well, the second coyote got away from there after they had him skinned and he went to another coyote camp. And he was red all over and he was sitting over there just as thin and cold as could be. Other coyotes looked at him. This was something new around their camps. He was over there by himself, and the other coyotes looked at him. And those coyotes yelled at him, "Hey, you with the red shirt!" He would not look up. He was angry because they yelled about his red shirt. And they kept calling to him, "Hey, you with the red shirt!"

Then, finally, he looked at them, angry, half turning his head, and answered them. He said, "It's your father who has a red shirt!" He was angry and walked off.

Coyote Tries to Catch Turkey by Diving for His Reflection

Coyote was going along a river. There was a lot of water flowing and by the bank stood a tall tree. In this tree a turkey was sitting, and his reflection showed in the water. Coyote saw this reflection and thought the turkey was in the water.

Without waiting, he jumped into the water. He could not find the turkey and came up. When he got to the bank, he saw that the turkey was still there. He dove into the water again and kept it up for as long as he could stand it. Finally, he was so tired that he had to stop and lie on his back to rest. He rolled over on his back and, as he did so, he saw the turkey up in the tree.

Coyote was very angry when he saw this. He ran and got an axe and began to chop down that tree. But, when that tree fell, Turkey flew to another tree. Coyote went to this tree and chopped it down too, but Turkey just went on to another one. Coyote kept this up till he was so worn out that he had to give up, and Turkey got away.

Most, hogy a csajok nem voltak itthon, befejeztem a Grim Fandango-t, nem hosszú és elkértek érte három dollárt kábé. (Steamen most olcsóbb, mint a GOGon) Szuper jó nosztalgia trip volt és régóta nem jutott eszembe, hogy milyen elbaszott jó zenéje van (a sztori meg a lore is frankó nagyon) pedig még a soundrackot is megvettem anno. Hibátlanul megy a steamdecken, tök jól streameli a SD a PC képernyőjére, de végül a PC-n fejeztem be egy PS4 kontrollerrel.

Na de ha már a LucasArts fénykorába időutaztam, rámjött a hoppáré és - bár kellett vagy tíz perc gondolkodás hozz�� - és rájöttem, hogy a másik nagy játék a Full Throttle volt, ami anno megfogott és amit anno egy pajtásommal toltunk végig, tök izgi volt.

Örömmel látom, hogy ezt is remasterelték, ez is egy Tim Schafer/Double Fine játék és ha olyan faja a remastered grafika mint a Grim Fandangonál, akkor ezt is újra szeretni fogom. Ez is filléres tétel a Steamen, és kb. ugyanannyi a GOG-on, ha birtokolni akarsz egy példányt belőle.

Meg ott van az időben a fentiekhez elég közel készült The Dig ('95-ös asszem) amire már alig emlékszem, de biztos, hogy játszottam vele anno és le van olcsítva a Gőzboltban. (azért ehhez is van GOG link a lustáknak). Klasszik point-and-click motyó egy grafikailag szerintem zseniális korszakból, amikor ezek a játékok PC-re és macra is megjelentek.

Azt nem tudom, hogy ezt megcsinálták-e új grafikával, elvileg mintha rémlene, hogy kapott valami kis kozmetikát, de nem vagyok benne biztos. Az eredeti sztorit Spielberg és Orson Scott Card írta a játékhoz, csak mondom.

THE SILENA POST THE WORLD HAS BEEN WAITNG FOR !!

Silena is a semi main character and if she was in an official comic run, she would be the main character for a good stack of volumes.

At the start of her story, Silena is 14. A sophomore in Highschool and has a decent group of friends including Gwen, MJ, (Melis Jane) , Percy (Percy Parker), and Hazel Osborne .

She gets her mysterio powers while on a history class field trip where both her and Percy get their powers, Percy is blessed by a spider god while Silena basically has a whole magic necklace (later revealed to be a fragment of a reality stone) (this is also canon btw it’s canon every verse has its own set of stones)

Silena being the over imaginative , artsy,

fantasy and magical girl obsessed nerd she is , decides to use her powers for good and becomes “Mysteria”

It’s rather rocky at first , navigating how to use the stone, not getting flattened by villains, etc. her and Percy reveal their identities to another and grow closer as friends.

Percy has a few things happen to him as well such as MJ (his gf) being completely replaced by a chameleon from another universe .

While Percy is busy, he ignores a mugging (which happens to be Silenas dad , Quentin Beck) thinking the police can deal with it.

Silena finds her dad and thinks he’s dead. (dw he is not)

Silena , being immature and this being a “with great power comes great responsibility “ moment for Percy and Silena, Both see it in different ways .

Silena sees it as a way of revenge

Percy sees it as a way to do better.

A fight breaks out between the two (and by fight I mean fist fight.) and the two reconcile . Which is shortly interrupted by Swarm. (Also no. He is not a Nazi. I’m Jew/Romani. Why tf would I make that apart of his character) and Percy gets the “NO NOT THE BEES” treatment. (Sorry Perc, at least you and MJ can chill together in the after life)

Silena now alone , SMITES SWARM. Or tries to but it flees . Later he is defeated. This catches the eye of silvermane who “takes silena under her wing” aka. Straight up

manipulates her and makes her life straight up hell.

Brief interlude of Villains like Shocker, Rhino, Chamelon (the real one not the other universe one Dr strange killed that one) Black cat, and Wolfmann

Also a breif romance between Molten girl (liz Allen) but it ends up in a Peter and Gwen situation.

Also around this time there’s a romance between Silena and her Electra.

Between basically being under silvermanes thumb and getting magical help from Dr Stange , Silenas Life is very busy. Silena also gets other friends like Marcos (hydro man) , Lottie (White rabbit), and some minor villains like Lizard (Kris Connors ) , and Morbius (Dr.Maeve Morbius)

Silverman gets defeated via suit technicality . (Water + technology isn’t good.) also big reveal, Silenas dad is in one piece , Silvermane basically used him as a bargaining chip

Short clone saga arc + Jackal being the worst human being possible. (Dmitri, Both Scopions , and Willow the wisp respectfully experience the horrors )

Bianca Riley (Ben Riley with Kaines personality)

And Krystal Riley (Kaine with Ben Riley’s personality.)

Silena gets along great with the two at first but it is quickly shown that Bianca is the evil evil twin. Aka. No morals Spider-Man who is feral. She’s also just cruel to everyone .meanwhile Quentin tries to be a hero like Silena (and gets utterly embarrassed but it’s ok. Can you blame him?? He is just a normal guy?)

And Bianca is the first to get the venom symbiote and genuinely has to be put down after mutating into a spider creature . Honestly very cathartic for Silena and Krystal. (Bianca is a toxic friend.)

Personality wise ; Silenas personality is very fluctuating. In video game terms she would have a changling soul from fear and hunger. In normal terms she has a little bit of an identity crisis , and depending on the person her personality changes. She can either be very optimistic or very pessimistic. Very caring or very crude. Etc etc . But she is very imaginative and a problem solver. Starting out very anxious and having her small handful of friends she grows as a character and branches out more and is more confident. That’s not to say though what she’s experienced hasn’t had an affect on her. She is still a major people pleaser most of the time because of the constant beratment from Silvermane and Bianca . And even then , as a sort of defense mechanism , she’s used the stone to seal away memories she never wants to remember again. Ever. While also being a people pleaser she can be chaotic. Often poking fun (out of endearment) at her friends or others. Though that’s not to say she’s very receptive to sarcasm or cruel jokes.she’s a very fluctuating character personality wise like I said . There is no TRUE way to describe her. She bullies and is also the bullied if that makes sense.

Also another key part is she down plays her trauma. She will always believe that what happened or happens to her is no big deal. That it’s fine and that you shouldn’t worry and that no, the glove on her arm is just for decoration and style! And no you shouldn’t tell her dad because he has so much on his shoulder’s already! Why stress him out with something that he shouldn’t worry about!

Okay, tiefling!Percy de Rolo IV!

— Vesper marries… someone. I’m fond of her being like this great warrior paladin and in the meantime she just has this overdrawn, intense will they or won’t they relationship with like… a human rug maker or something boring

— Vesper has a human daughter before Percy de IV

— I feel like Percy and Vex knew they might have a tiefling so Gwen wasn’t too much of a shock. Vesper knew she could have a tiefling as well but hadn’t put much thought into it so tiefling!Percy IV was a bit of a shock

—- Percy IV comes out pinker than Gwen and has white hair and Vesper was considering naming her child after her Dad anyway but as soon as she saw the white hair she just had to

— Percy III is so shocked when Vesper hands him Percy IV. He even starts to argue against it— why name after him and his mistakes, but Vex would give him a look and cause Percy III to shut up, and he quickly accepts it. Percy IV is named after him because he’s Vesper’s Dad and that’s what she loves him for, and nothing else.

— The rest of the kids are terribly annoyed as they were hoping to name a kid after their beloved Dad, damn it! No fair that Vesper got there first! She’s horribly smug about it. One of the other kids has a daughter and they name them after Vex’ahlia instead though.

— I’m not sure what they nickname Percy IV because even this post is a pain, but they could even just call him Perce. It’s not as much an issue for Vesper and her siblings as they just call Percy III ‘Dad’ but they do agree for a need to distinguish him (if people have ideas for a better nickname, let me know).

— Percy and Percy get along well. I feel like baby!Percy finds his Grandad soothing in that I think he soothes Gwen as the link to the nine hells. I think as he gets older Percy IV doesn’t haven’t such a special bond with his grandad and his personality is extroverted and playful in ways Percy wasn’t as a child, but they are still close and Percy does dote. Of course he’s also close with Gwendolyn.

— For some angst, perhaps Percy IV internalises some tiefling angst in ways I don’t headcanon Gwendolyn doing. Percy IV looks up to his grandad and feels like it’s a lot to look up to, and can’t help but dislike the way he looks and feel like the odd one out. Gwen got to be her own person in ways Percy IV feels like he can’t. This does get better after he forges his own path. What that is? Idk yet sorry!

Imperial Crown of Edward VI. Or the Crown of England Is a s the imperial and state crown of Kings of England The imperial crown created by Everart or Everard Everdyes for Edward VI’s coronation is indeed a fascinating piece of history. The term “imperial” refers to a style of crown characterized by its raised arches, which was a significant feature of this particular crown. Everdyes crafted this crown using scrap gold from the Secret Jewel House, including a set of nine letters “I” or “J”, which might have been initially made for Edward’s mother, Jane Seymour. Helloooooo I'm so blessed to be called the tsumugi guy 😭 because I do fight for my life. and also Oh.. oh... my favorite thing. It's hard because Tsumugi is like... perce bait I basically love everything! about him except for his cisgender nature (just kidding it's funny to me). I'd have to say, if I were to state things about his design I like a lot I'd be here for 10 hours and about his character itself it'd be another 100 but I'll keep it short ... I think... he is just... SO CUTE! Even though he's kind of an ugly thing (but others aren't allowed to call him ugly because they don't get it) he's genuinely so cute to me especially his lore relevant cute curly-ish hair that I wish he'd be allowed to grow out even further and his smile. and his voice is sooo wonderful I really do love his voice more than anything I can't wait for a new switch song I need it so bad though I'll be crazy over dawning angels for a while ... His stage presence as ex-fine's leader ...! personally I am switchp first and foremost and I think tsumugi fans who hate switch aren't tsumugi fans at all (if they have a preference its fine obviously I really do love fancy tsumugi I wont lie Im sorry. I think the fact he fits exfine with his body language and what he was used to way more than switch but manages to perform so well and have so much fun anyways will always be cute. He does so good and they love each other and make bangers every single time) but I have love for it and I like when tsumugi gets to do something different and his voice in it is sooooooo...♡ I love how ishikai sounds in exfine songs even though I only listen to switch basically although I like a lot of enstars music I'm sorry women. You can tell in older songs that he wasnt like used to singing so much at the time and he did say a lot of stuff that showed him being insecure about his singing, but he always sounded so good to me and he said tsumugi helped him like singing more! and I love their style a lot even though they don't usually stick to one specific song formula if that makes sense so they always make it fun there's not a single switch song I hate and I think all 3 of them have such wonderful voices that compliment each other perfectly imagining switch's music without one of the members is crazy to me no matter which of them it may be. but even tsumugis speaking voice is so perfect to me auuu... 😭 I love how warm he is and how polite and sweet he is even though he's full of horrors. So many horrors and he's evil but he's not evil at all and also he's literally a gentleman. despite tsumugi's really important character development which he has a lot of and I notice even some tsumugi fans dont speak of it all that often and people who Arent fans of him think he is the way he was in his 2nd year even now which is kind of funny he is still very weird he keeps all of his core traits while improving on so many things and becoming better and being in a better place and I think it's really fun... Also this interview about his design is funny to me

And his liking of warm homemade meals is so cute. and his interest in flower language!!!!!! and also he's so silly and so pathetic and I wish I could bite a huge chunk out of his head... ETC! There's so much that is good about tsumumu....!
