Tepat pada hari itu kau menjabat tangan waliku, memegang erat dengan penuh keyakinan bahwa tidak ada pengulangan ijab kabul.

Dua org saling bertatapan. Waliku, dihadapkan dg seorang pemuda asing yg nekad menghalalkanku. Matanya menyiratkan tanda semoga kelak kau dan putri kakakku memperlakukan istrimu dengan sebaik-baiknya. Menjadikan dia ratu di kehidupanmu, menjadi tempat berkeluh kesah di kerisauannya, menjadi pundak tempat dia bersandar. Karna saat itu tiba hanya kau yg ia punya.

Sesekali ku lihat wajah org yg menjabat tangan waliku, kuperhatikan genggaman tangannya erat kuat pertanda bahwa ia siap mengemban amanah besar selepas ini. Menjadi seorang suami dari istrinya, menjadi bapak bagi anak² nya dan menjadi pemimpin yg akan mengarahkan keluarganya ke syurga.

Aku menangis sejadi-jadinya tatkala bapak penghulu itu meminta kami menatap mata sang ibunda. Tidak, matanya terlalu mulia untuk ditatap pendosa seperti ku, tak akan pernah mampu aku menatap mata org yang telah melahirkanku, merawatku, hingga memberikanku pendidikan tinggi. Ku peluk erat tubuh lemah yg terlihat kuat itu dengan se erat²nya. Tak kupedulikan bedakku habis dan lipstick ku pudar. Yg ku ingat adalah perjuangan ibuku menyekolahkan anaknya seorang diri, bekerja banting tulang tanpa seorang suami disisinya pun aku tak pernah lupa itu. Kata² pilu ttg seorang ibu dri penghulu itu pun semakin membuat air mataku mengucur sejadi²nya. Hingga ibu mengusap air mataku, dan menenangkan ku. Kata maaf yg kuucap tidak akan pernah membasuh luka ibu Krn keputusanku. Dalam batinku, ibu tak akan pernah ku lupakan meski aku akan terbang jauh bersama suamiku. Ku pegang erat tangan ibu, ku ucapkan kata maaf, maaf telah menyusahkan mu hingga detik ini ibu.. aku menjadi saksi atas pengorbanan mu. Kan ku persembahkan semua kebaikanku untuk dirimu.

Ijab kabulpun dimulai, keringat dingin pun kurasakan. Apa jadinya jika aku yg duduk disana dan disaksikan semua org yg hadir, setiap kata dan kalimatku di dengar. Ya Rabb lancarkan lisannya, gumamku.

Ada satu riwayat mengatakan bahkan para malaikat juga ikut menyaksikannya di angkasa raya , hingga Arsy pun berguncang karna beratnya perjanjian yg dibuat olehnya didepan Allah dan para malaikat .

Karena peristiwa akad nikah bukanlah peristiwa kecil dihadapan Allah. Akad nikah yang dilakukan dua mempelai, adalah  sama tingginya dengan perjanjian para Rasul, sama dahsyatnya dengan  perjanjian bani Israel di bawah bukit Thursina yang bergantung di atas kepala mereka. Duhai agungnya pernikahan..

Hingga detik dimana aku sudah sah menjadi seorang istripun tak pernah terbayang bahwa sekrg statusku sudah berubah. Tangannya sudah halal ku genggam hingga ku cium sebagai tanda aku menaatinya. Matanya sudah halal ku tatap sebagai tanda bahwa bnyak harapanku padanya. Jiwanya sudah kumiliki sesaat hingga ajal meminangnya nnti.

Wahai engkau yg sudah kupanggil suamiku..

Besar harapku padamu untuk keluarga kecil ini. Memilihmu bukan tanpa pertimbangan dari sekian org yg Allah hadirkan dalam kehidupanku. Engkau yg kupilih sebagai teman hidupku hingga nanti menua bersamamu.

Maka penuhilah pesan agamaku, keluargaku, mamakku, saudaraku, dan teman²ku. Engkau yg berjanji telah disaksikan langit dan bumi beserta makhluk-nya, bergetar ArsyNya atas sumpahmu terhadapku. Maka penuhilah, jadilah suami yg taat pada perintahNya, muliakan istrimu, hormati ibuku dan jadikan ia seperti ibumu, bawalah aku pada jalan yg diredhoiNya, tuntunlah aku ke syurgaNya.

Jangn pukul aku jika aku berbuat salah, nasehati dan jangn membentak karna demi Allah hatiku sangat lemah terhadap itu. Jadilah bapak yg teladan untuk anak²ku kelak. Karna melahirkannya bukanlah suatu kemudahan, meregang nyawa demi menghadirkannya ke dunia ini hingga aku dan kamu di panggil ummi dan Abi.

Kelak, akan ada masa dimana kita akan diuji. Maka jika aku difitnah, jangan pernah membenciku, tetaplah menjadi peraduanku yg ternyaman.

Jika kita kekurangan materi, ingatlah bukan itu tujuan kita menikah, tapi redho Allah atas setiap syukur kita. Jika kita diuji dengan perasaan, maka hati²lah krn itu tanda setan berhasil merusak bahtera rumah tangga yg dimulai dg proses yg suci. Jika kita diuji dengan keturunan, maka tetaplah disisiku, kepedihan itu bukan hanya kamu merasa tapi juga batinku tersiksa.

Seburuk apapun aku, aku adalah istrimu. Kekuranganku sudah dilengkapi dengan hadirnya dirimu. Begitupun kamu, seburuk apapun kamu adalah suamiku yg ku terima baik dan burukmu. Yg menjagaku dan bersama hingga tutup usia.

Tetaplah menjadi suport system ku, jangan beralih dan meninggalkanku, krn kita tidak tau rencana apa yg sudah Allah siapkan untuk kita. Boleh jadi apa yg kita Anggap buruk itu baik buat kita dan boleh jadi apa yg kita anggap baik itu buruk buat kita. Francis Crozier and O'Connell's chariot

In early September of 1844, Francis Crozier was between jobs, having gotten a year's leave from the Admiralty, and was just beginning to plan his upcoming trip to France and Italy. In the meantime, however, he was spending some time in Dublin with his family.

This meant he was in just the right place at the right time (or, as he may have felt, the wrong place at the wrong time) to experience a historic event: the parading of Repeal politician and statesman Daniel O'Connell through the streets of Dublin on a huge gilded chariot.

The ‘chariot’, 3 metres high and 4.5 metres long, was specially made for O’Connell’s glorious re-entry into the city, and modelled on the triumphal cars of ancient Rome. It was upholstered in purple silk and blue wool and adorned with gilded mouldings and decorative overlays, depicting shamrocks and stylised classical foliage. The sides showed Hibernia with the increasingly familiar national iconography of harp, round tower and wolfhound. On the back was a representation in gold of a harp surmounted by the word ‘Repeal’, summarising O’Connell’s campaign for repeal of the Act of Union. (x)

In May of that year, O'Connell and his son had been found guilty on conspiracy charges and sentenced to a year in prison. They'd appealed the verdict to the House of Lords, and their appeal was granted on September 4th, 1844. They were released after serving three months in Richmond Bridewell penitentiary.

On Saturday, September 7th, O'Connell was paraded through the streets of Dublin on his gilded throne-chariot, drawn by six "splendid grey horses" and surrounded by "a crowd of around 200,000 citizens." Several guilds were also represented in the long parade, as well as town council and corporation members and the Lord Mayor. Their route took them from the penitentiary (now the Griffith Barracks Multi-Denominational School) to O'Connell's home on Merrion Square.

If the Crozier house, which was located at 2, Sandford Place, was near where we find Sandford Parish Church today, this was a bit of a walk away. But the crowd clearly made itself felt throughout the city, because on Monday, September 9th, Francis Crozier wrote to James Clark Ross:

What think you the decision of the house of Lords, it has been & is considered here a great victory for Dan – Such a set of Ruffians as were perading [sic] about here on Saturday they say that they Dans people may now do anything as he can get them clear – I did not see one drunk man nor one that looked the least like a gentleman although I suppose he has many adherents that are so by both

Whether Crozier happened to catch sight of O'Connell and the triumphal procession itself isn't clear, but as he gives no description of the spectacle, he may not have. Accounts in the Illustrated London News bear the latter assertion out: "It is a fact worthy of notice, that there was not, in the immense assemblage, a single individual intoxicated; each guild was followed by a temperance band […]," and though excitement continued through the evening, "everything passed off with the utmost quiet."

Leinster (which includes Dublin) was a stronghold for O'Connell and the Repeal movement, but the movement had met resistance in the predominantly Protestant, largely Presbyterian, Ulster. For his own part, though he had publicly stressed common cause and appreciation for Protestant Repealers, O'Connell had privately expressed disdain for the Presbyterian support for the United Irishmen, and for Protestantism in Ireland itself.

Crozier, an Ulsterman and a Protestant, was evidently not very impressed with "Dan" O'Connell and his followers, nor with the handling of the House of Lords:

I must confess that I think the house of Lords have signed their own death warrant as a house of appeal by leaving the case in the hands of a few mountebank political Lords.

A quotation of unclear origin that's often attributed to Sophia Cracroft states that Francis Crozier was an "indifferent speller" and a "horrid radical". If she did say (or write) that, it's difficult to know what sort of radicalism she had in mind.

At the time of Francis' and his siblings' baptisms in the late 18th century, the Crozier family belonged to the Banbridge First Non-Subscribing Presbyterian Church—but had, as one of "only four or five" Presbyterian families in town, taken the minority position of not supporting the United Irishmen. Later, Francis' brother Graham became a vicar in the Church of Ireland. Overall, the Croziers come off as fairly solidly establishment. And while we don't know much about Francis Crozier's politics and he may have espoused views Sophia Cracroft would find radical, we do know that he was—unsurprisingly, given his origins—not a Repealer.

Getting diagnosed with autism going thru the whole process and like having to look at ur life past present and future under a difference lens is so crazy. Like I think of stuff I never thought about before as odd but now I’m like maybe I was kind of an oddball idk. I started primary school late, I missed 2 nearly 3 ish years of school due to issues with school systems or whatever, so I was entering a class of ppl who already kind of knew eachother probs quite a lot since nursery or like before even, my ass used to walk around the playground at break, being the new kid EVERYONE wants to talk to u the first week or first few occurrences, I was being told like u can play with us I must’ve been, and my ass used to walk around alone on the playground collect all the hoola hoops skipping ropes etc all carryable equipment u name it and I used to carry them all and just walk around and ppl would come up to me ask for something I’d give it to them and I’d just walk around and around if someone wanted anything they’d have to talk and acknowledge me and I don’t think anyone ever said like wtf is this bitch doing, I think about that now and I’m just idk what to think, so much to think about so many thoughts and like ups and downs at once.

June 21- Wednesday- happy summer

Today we drove to Saint-Anne-de-la-Perade Quebec. 580 miles round trip. We got our new English Cocker puppy , Delta. 11 weeks old. She will stay with our friend Terry while we travel to Alaska. We also picked up a Springer Spaniel pup that belongs to another dog acquaintance of ours. Delta is all black and so friendly.

Percaya atau tidak, 80 persen ilmu yang kita peroleh dari bangku pendidikan lekas terbakar oleh masa alias tidak relevan lagi untuk era sekarang. Kendati demikian, kita tetap perlu belajar mengingat apa yang kita kejar dari sebuah pendidikan ialah frame berpikir kreatif yang ditanamkan di kepala ini. Tanpa sebuah sistem pendidikan yang adaptif sekaligus mumpuni mustahil otak kita bekerja secara progresif menjawab permasalahan dunia. Oleh karenanya, sistem pendidikan dengan basis kurikulum internasional patut diberikan atensi lebih guna mengakselerasi cita-cita kemajuan Sang Garuda.

Masalah Mendasar

Jika anda adalah produk kurikulum nasional, apa yang membekas di benak anda tentang sistem pendidikan Indonesia?

Bagi saya, itu adalah soal buku-buku yang berat, seabrek hafalan, dan bayang-bayang ujian nasional (UN).

Selama belasan tahun saya bersekolah maupun berkuliah di negeri ini, pada akhirnya saya menyadari bahwa sistem pendidikan kita sebetulnya belum memanfaatkan secara maksimal kapasitas otak manusia.

Untuk mengerti suatu konsep misalnya, murid seringkali hanya disuapi teori fisika yang sulit dan rumus jadi alih-alih eksperimen kecil untuk mendapatkan rumus tersebut. Sehingga, wajar tatkala ujian tiba, teknik menghafal-lah yang bertindak.

Padahal, hierarki kemampuan berpikir yang bernama Taksonomi Bloom terdiri dari 6 tahapan utama, yakni menghafal, memahami, mengaplikasikan, analisis, evaluasi, dan penciptaan (inovasi). Sayangnya, survei PISA tahun 2018 justru mencatat bahwa level berpikir anak Indonesia baru sampai pada 3 tahapan awal (Lower-Medium Order Thinking).

Mungkin, ini jugalah yang menyebabkan Indonesia belum pernah mengecap manisnya imbal jasa ide terhadap peradaban dalam bentuk nobel.

Pertama, tentang perang, bencana kelaparan, dan wabah yang tidak bisa dihapus dari muka bumi. Kedua, kemunculan global useless class atau generasi pupuk bawang yang tergusur dari pasar kerja akibat posisinya digantikan oleh robot cerdas.

Opsi solutifnya ialah meminimalisir fenomena tersebut melalui penguatan SDM sejak dari pikiran.

Pengamat Pendidikan, Andreas Tambah berujar bahwa Indonesia bisa memanen SDM berkualitas hanya jika kurikulum pendidikan berubah mengadopsi ke negara-negara industri seperti Amerika Serikat.

Sejak tahun 2013, para pakar pendidikan Indonesia dan AS bekerja sama untuk mendirikan Sampoerna University sebagai satu-satunya kampus di Indonesia yang menawarkan pendidikan tinggi ala Amerika dengan menggabungkan elemen terbaik dari kedua negara tersebut.

Kenapa berkiblat pada Amerika?

Tentu, kita sepakat bahwa metode pembelajaran langsung seperti ini akan lebih membekas ketimbang sekedar mendengarkan ceramah dosen.

Sesi kelas pun dihelat lebih kolaboratif berbasis proyek dan masalah sehingga memberi kesempatan bagi mahasiswa untuk dapat mengambil inisiatif, membuat keputusan, dan bertanggung jawab atas hasil tertentu.

Akibatnya, mahasiswa memiliki kompetensi bekerja yang unggul dan skill set untuk menyelesaikan masalah di era Industry 4.0 atau Society 5.0.

Penguasaan Bahasa Asing

Pemimpin peradaban era ini tidak bisa lagi diisi oleh orang-orang yang learning by doing, melainkan mereka yang learning prior to doing. Artinya, mereka harus memiliki otak yang paling relevan dengan masa depan. Media pembelajaran yang saat ini sangat mudah diakses tentu hanya dapat dioptimalkan pemanfaatannya jikalau mereka cakap berbahasa internasional, dalam hal ini Bahasa Inggris.

Beberapa waktu silam saya pernah mengisi kelas praktisi di SMP internasional dengan topik bioteknologi pangan.

Kelas interaktif ini dibuka dengan presentasi anak-anak tentang riset mereka terhadap produk bioteknologi dan disambung dengan pemaparan saya. Karena dibawakan dengan dwibahasa (Bahasa Indonesia dan Bahasa Inggris), saya merasa dimudahkan saat menjelaskan istilah asing yang sulit ditranslasikan. Sementara, mereka di sisi lain memperoleh artikel bagus dari sumber terpercaya berbahasa asing.

Di sini kita memahami bahwasanya kurikulum internasional membuat berbahasa Indonesia itu penting, sementara fasih berbahasa Inggris juga hal yang tak kalah penting. Tak ada crab mentality dengan olok-olok “sok Inggris” karena sejatinya menguasai bahasa tertentu layaknya membuka gerbang ilmu yang lebih luas.

Kampus Futuristik yang Harmonis

Kurikulum internasional mencirikan pola pendidikan yang dinamis. Berkat menguatnya budaya layar, mendatangkan pemateri atau pengajar dari belahan dunia manapun tanpa terikat ruang adalah sesuatu yang lumrah.

Mahasiswa-mahasiswa jurusan olahraga di tanah air misalnya, bisa-bisa saja memperoleh kuliah umum dari para atlet global.

Program Dual Degree Sampoerna University memberikan kesempatan pada insan terbaik bangsa untuk ditatar secara virtual oleh dosen atau praktisi dari University of Arizona tanpa harus meninggalkan Indonesia. Keuntungannya ialah bisa sekaligus diakui sebagai lulusan luar negeri, tetapi dengan biaya pendidikan internasional yang irit yakni hemat hingga 75 persen.

Secara praktik, kurikulum ini juga telah memasukkan budaya dan norma dari berbagai negara. Memiliki pengajar dan teman-teman lintas spasial dan kultural tentunya akan menciptakan kekayaan perpektif dan secara alami menumbuhkan nuansa toleransi yang adaptif.

Ini berarti akan terwujud sistem pendidikan yang holistik, di mana individu didorong menjadi long-life learner yang haus akan ilmu dan sensitif terhadap dinamika sosial.

Bukan tidak mungkin, setelah penerapan merata kurikulum internasional akan terlahir inovator-inovator muda yang mendunia asal Indonesia.

Maka betul-lah sebuah ungkapan yang berkata: “Jika pendidikan semampunya, maka hasilnya juga seadanya.”
