Marian, one of Digswell Arts' print members participating in this year's open studios. Her most recent set of prints takes a closer look at how the seedpod from the horse chestnut, one of our most iconic trees, slowly cracks open to release the conker. She invites the viewer to pause and consider the metamorphosis happening in the parks and gardens around us. Another batch of reprints!☺️🐈🌈💅✨️ As you can see, the lino blocks corresponding w these designs are already damaged in some places (especially the postcard one is just deteriorating since it's soft lino and not as durable), so I think we'll be able to get a few more prints out of them before it's time to retire.😌 So, despite technically being indefinitely reprintable, black-and-white/one layer linocuts still have a limited run/lifespan. I am very happy to share that I will have three (new) books included in an exhibition opening @morganpaper on October 20th.

The exhibition is entitled-

KALEIDOSCOPE: PERSPECTIVE IN FLUX

A Book Arts Exhibition.

It features Art Books Cleveland and a wide array of talented regional artists.
