A paparazzi video goes up online from some Hollywood party. The video is taken from a distance but you can clearly make out Steve when he steps outside to sober up a bit in the cool air.

It’s very clear by the way that he’s moving that he’s a little drunk when he finds a bench to sit down. He takes his glasses off and rubs at his eyes.

Less than a minute later, Eddie wanders outside looking for his husband and finds him. You can see Eddie slide up close to Steve on the bench and put his arm around him.

The video is from too far away to hear what Eddie leans in close to say, but you can clearly see that Steve responds with “sorry, man, I’m married” by the way he gestures to his wedding ring when waving him off.

Eddie says something and Steve blinks at him. He looks surprised for a second and then starts laughing. Eddie laughs too and is still laughing when Steve pulls him in for a kiss.

my pet peeve this morning is how everyone on tiktok is treated as an influencer or an influencer in making for even the most simple of videos. like on a video of someone accidentally scaring their friend someone in the comments will be like "we HAVE to see the best friend now 🤣" no tf you dont? you don't HAVE to see anything. it's a funny video and now it's over. there's always this entitlement to "another video please!!!! another another!!!" and it'll be on someone's page that isn't trying to be entertaining for billions of people

im watching a retrospective about Majora's Masks dungeon progression and realizing a little more every time he says "this game took a lot of very brave steps out to not be ocarina of time" that my disappointment with totk isn't out of place. I've been told "it's breath of the wild 2, why did you expect it to be different?" but like.. it's it's own game. why is it the exact same but with an arguably worse iteration of the story?

One of my favourite niches within shows and fandom spaces is when a character is allowed to be silly and goofy. Like when a character is introduced and they’re stoic, cool and always know what to say in a very charismatic way and then through the serious they become to be a little bit silly

Just as someone who studies and loves history, if you ever are wondering what a key sign is that someone knows quite literally nothing about history, it will come in the form of a person saying “I wish I lived in the 80s (or before)” or “life/relationships was so much easier in the 80s (or before).” Like that flat out just tells me you’ve never opened a history book in your life

Because when you ask why, usually they will say some variation of problems that happen today didn’t happen back then (usually referring to being gay, drugs, cheating, freaky sex, bdsm, abuse, mental illness, etc). And if you open one fucking history book you would know all of that shit was happening as much, if not, even more than it’s happening right now, only it was a lot more dangerous

Yeah, gay people existed in the 50s. There were secret meetups that men (many married with kids because they were forced into) went to and hooked up with other men in. Men being sexually assaulted or raped by men was practically unheard of and unprosecuted until like the 80s-ish. Literally a man was violently raped by John Wayne Gacy, went to police right after, was blown off by police because the concept of men raping men was nuts, this guy did his entire own investigation, finding out where Gacy even fucking lived, and was still ignored. That guy ended up being a key eye witness in Gacy’s trial to prove he was sane.

People were heavily addicted to drugs all throughout history. It was an epidemic among housewives in the 40s-60s who were depressed being forced to stay at home and were just given pain pills to help cope. Most housewives, usually experiencing domestic violence on the regular, used opioids and other drugs to cope with the abuse and unfulfilled life. Most of them were severely depressed.

Nuclear family American dream didn’t die. It never fucking existed. Everything was just kept behind closed doors. And doing surface level historical research, I literally mean reading a few books or watching a few documentaries, make it clear.

People romanticize the daily life for Americans in the 40s-80s so much without realizing 1) that was the reality for only white, middle to upper class people 2) it was all for show.

Okay so this is really bugging me because people on Tiktok seem to not know what Gothic Architecture is for some reason and keep arguing about it and not admitting their wrong so...

Gothic Architecture:

Gothic Architecture is very old, some examples being from the 1200s to the 1600s. Some examples are Cologne Cathedral, Canterbury Cathedral, and lots of other Cathedrals in Europe.

And NO it does not have anything to do with the modern goths and stuff, it's an architecture style. Which confuses people for some reason.

And no, for some reason people think just because its a church or cathedral means it isn't Gothic Architecture when ALMOST ALL Gothic Architecture examples ARE Cathedrals and religious buildings. It's a building style, just because its a religious building doesn't suddenly mean it's not Gothic Architecture.

I love Gothic Architecture and some people are very uneducated and like to speak on things they don't know about even if it can take only a single Google search to prove them wrong. Please educate yourselves on something as simple as architecture before claiming some building isn't Gothic. Thanks
