I'm really glad Sim File Share exists and we have a place where we can all safely download CC and host CC on! Truly a blessing 💜

There would be so many dead links and lost CC due to random hosters going pay only or removing download links if they are not clicked regularly.

SFS is so much more than just a place to download, it also keeps our files safe and accessible for people around the world. I think we should all be forgiving about a few hiccups every now and then (which basically every site has occasionally).

On the other topic...

I calculated how many people on average press the heart ❤️ button on my TS3 pattern collections and it's...

Yes, I hear some of you say, but what about when you have 100 individual files and creators do not offer a zipped version?

I dread that too, and that is why I always create zipped files. It does make life much easier. Only 4.28% appreciate it though. Let's change that, not just for me, but for the thousands of other creators who would love to see their heart-to-download-ratios improve!

Dear simmers, here is a tutorial on how to download stuff from Sim File Share. (Over 95% of you do it wrong, so please pay attention):

Notice the red button with a white outlined (read: empty) heart.

Next, you click on that red button!

If you did it correctly (you can try again if it doesn't work out the first time, btw!), the heart is now white inside, and the number goes up by one. It means you did well and it worked! Notice there is also a blue button to the left of that red one. Click on the blue button. Wait until it turns green:

Your goodies are downloading a second later. If you are skilled, it will only be a split second between the two button presses. Go ahead and practice clicking the red button FAST on some recent downloads. Congratulations, you did it! Now you are allowed to feel proud for being kind and doing the right thing. If SFS happens to be slow (though 99% of the time it is not), just click the heart button when you can, okay? So many creators appreciate this!

It’s an awesome site and a great FREE resource. I love it and am glad we have it. People act like there aren’t humans behind this that have NO reason to provide us with this AMAZING resource. You can’t sh-t on people and expect them to stay.

Anyway I believe most users love them and I don’t want the loud minority to ruin it for us all so please show #SimsFileshare love every now and then mkay.

im gone cus im working on this very long last rejoice mini comic but i have an IDEA (ambitious)

what if i make my comic into a visual novel esque game instead.... i have this belief that it will actually take less time than a 400 page comic (or at least less drawing, but definitely more writing for me)... will that not be more fun and engaging!!

OH YES. I remember my first day of Society Lessons as a hearing person, where the everything was explained to me. Via Audiobook. FIRST they spoke and said, "you are standing on the ground." It was a life changing revelation, and the world began to spin.

But it did not stop.

THEN they said, "there are fingers on your hands." The sensation of flesh and bone crackling into existence is indescribable, but I did not yet know pain, until they told me, "that hurts." I began screaming immediately.

And yet... it continued.

They explained so much. Chairs. Tables. Walls. The sky. Frogs. Ionizing radiation. Breathing. I was told all of it, in one sitting, and only then did I understand. Only when my ears were bursting with normal hearing knowledges, did they begin... my final test.

A strange wall-chair-finger emerged from the sky-of-the-wall, stood on the ground several times, until it was in front of me. A second one came behind it, this one slimmer. The audiobook gave these things names;

Human. Father. Mother. Door. Walking. It was completely impossible to know what these things were until that very moment.

I watch a human dip a hook into water and produce a fish, and I recall my Society Lessons where they called that "fishing." I am decked in the face by a nefarious hooligan, and I have only the audiobook to thank when I know I have been "punched" by a "bad guy." It was only the magic of verbal-speaking-words-noise that made me understand that there are "other people" and that they "do stuff."

Sometimes, even, in "groups."

Before the Society Lessons Audiobook, I knew nothing. I was pure, innocent, uncorrupted by concepts such as "parents" and "door." I am grateful every day that there is no such concept as "being shown things" or "simple logical reasoning" or "looking."

Blessed be those amongst us who escape the horrors of the Society Lessons Audiobook. I pray that you never learn what anything is. Be free! Free as a bird, which also knows nothing and famously cannot learn. 🤗

Obviously not a MEDICINE guide but like; common causes of hearing disability in clan cats. Accommodations for hearing loss vs congenital deafness. Actual difficulties of not having that sense Clan-by-Clan. Debunking of misconceptions like... not being able to learn APPARENTLY.

A yap on BPD cuz people are a lil dense

Howdy hey! Let's not demonize people with actual disorders! I don't care if you've had bad experiences with people who have BPD! They can't really control themselves, same with people who have autism and adhd and anxiety and depression and literally every other disability and / or mental issue.

Just because someone has BPD doesn't mean you should treat them as less than you for their mood swings and emotional control level. They're not some evil person who's only out to hurt others just because they're havin an episode. You may have gotten hurt by someone who has BPD, but I'm certain they didn't mean to hurt you. If only you didn't lack basic communication skills, then maybe you'd be able to understand that.

If you can't handle those with BPD, then simply don't interact with them. And keep your trap shut when speakin about them cuz you're only makin things worse for YOURSELF if you let your sour attitude linger. You have no right to spew your rancid, abelist nonsense about people you don't even know just cuz you had one bad interaction. No, I will not be takin any criticism on this. This is common sense and basic decency to your fellow man.

Be kind to one another, please... You only have so much time left on this Earth. Don't waste it by bein ignorant and close-minded.

I saw someone on the ikea coworker crafters’ forum make a discreet hanging key box out of picture frames and I realized I also needed to make that.

so here she is, my 5x7 beatrice portrait box. it even has the epitaph inside of it. all it needs is a lil magnet or latch to keep it closed. this was an easy and fun mini project. :)

I still intend to play Reload, buuuuuut due to now knowing there's no FeMC/no male party member social links, it's dropped just a bit on my priority list... I guess I'll watch playthroughs of the P3P romance routes when I play it.

I think I might go in reverse order and replay P4G, *then* Reload... Although, copypasta aside, I also want to play a real SMT game, just not sure in what order I'll do all of those.

I forgot how absurdly easy Persona combat is (even while playing Royal I was like "wow this is too easy I need to raise the difficulty" only to realize it was already on "merciless" 😭) and SMT is apparently basically post-apocalypse Persona with amped up difficulty so I think I'd like it.
