(2/2) and just be mindful then i looked at it differently. i didn’t choose to practice yet, but i’m not new to some things - the only ones i don’t want to are tarot, pensulums and wicca. as i’m still kind of a baby, could i ask you for some advice and wisdom? what’s the difference between magic and magick? do i have to own an altar if i don’t want to? and with that feeling of gross uncleanliness... if not with oils/incense, how else could i get rid of it? thank you so much for your answers! ☽

The difference between magic and magick. Magic, fairly embracing explanation is that it is a method of manipulating the physical world through metaphysical means by employing ritual action. Magick, on the other hand, began being used by Aleister Crowley (who was an English occultist, ceremonial magician, poet, painter, novelist, mountaineer, and a rather influential person in the scene of modern witchcraft) to differentiate what he was doing from stage magic, so by this definition, magick doesn't have to be metaphysical and any action, mundane or magical, that helps fulfill one's True Will is magick. In the end, the usage is unnecessary and a simple matter of opinion. I personally use the term "Magick" because I as many people know, speak about fantasy (where they speak about magic in a fairytale sense) so I simply prefer doing this so that people know what I'm talking about. But like I said, it's a matter of preference.

Do you need to own an Altar if you don't want to? No you do not. Your craft and practice is yours and solely yours. How you practice is up to you and owning an Altar is personal preference, and everything about witchcraft is personal preference.

i got the ten of swords. i feel like your next job is going to be quite labor intensive. it’s possible that you’ll have to do the same routine over and over again without much of a break. the first thing that came in mind when i saw this card was cashier.

the pendulum says no to before summer, but yes to during the summer.

Qliphort Genius

Qliphort Genius Link Rating 2 EARTH Machine Link Effect Monster ATK 1800 Links: Bottom Left, Bottom Right Materials: 2 Machine monsters (1) This Link Summoned card is unaffected by the effects of Spell/Trap Cards, also this card is unaffected by the activated effects of other Link Monsters. (2) Once per turn: You can target 1 face-up card you control and 1 face-up card your opponent controls; negate their effects until the end of this turn. (3) When 2 monsters are Special Summoned to the zones this card points to at the same time: You can add 1 Level 5 or higher Machine monster from your Deck to your hand.

The “Qli” monsters pendulum effects state that you cannot special summon any other monsters that turn except “Qli” monsters so this requiring only machines makes sense. This also means that other machine decks can summon this to have 2 link markers and disregard the effect.

All “Qli” monsters are unaffected by the activated effects of monsters of a lower level, but link monsters don;t have levels so Genius is immune to link monster’s effects.

This is also a “Qli” boss monster meaning it is also unaffected by spells/traps just like ‘Apoqliphort Towers’ and ‘Apoqliphort Skybase’

If you do not have tributes for the tribute summon of a “Qli” monster you can normal summon them without tributing, but their level is changed to 4 and their attack is changed to 1800. Being able to negate a “Qli” monster’s effects means that their attack value would return to normal that being 2400 or 2800.

If you tribute a “Qli” monster eqipped with ‘Saqlifice’ for ‘Qliphort Disk’ then Disk summons 2 “Qli” monsters from your deck. Search ‘Qliphort Scout’ with ‘Saqlifice. Search ‘Qliphort Monolith’ with Scout. Summon Genius with the two monsters summoned by Disk. Pensulum summon those 2 monsters. Genius searches either another Disk or ‘Qliphort Stealth’. Monolith draws 2 cards in the end phase.

This card is really good for “Qli”s the only issue is that ‘Qliphort Scout’ and ‘Saqlifice’ are still limited in the TCG. But if those come back, i’m gonna be hyped.
