After reading your Friendship Drabbles, I have a question for you; Which of our Hogwarts friends that we’ve rarely seen paired up or even never paired up before do you think would be really cool to see interact with each other?

Ooh, now that's an interesting thought! Hmm...well, one I liked including in those drabbles was Murphy McNully, Badeea Ali, Tulip Karasu, and Rowan Khanna as members of a Wizards' Chess Club! I liked the Chess sidequest Jam City wrote for the first three, and it just seemed so logical for Rowan to be among their ranks too. Rowan and McNully in particular I feel would find a lot of common ground, especially since they'd be in the same house.

Speaking of Rowan, I also really like the idea of Rowan and Ismelda Murk getting on better in years 5 and 6, especially if Rowan is sorted as Slytherin the way mine is! I feel like after MC helps Ismelda with her crush on Barnaby, Ismelda would open herself up a bit more to accepting help from other people in her year regardless of how different they are from her, and considering that Rowan and Ismelda are both so interested in History of Magic, I could totally see them striking up a (whispered) conversation or two over an essay in the library or something. One of my heacanons that admittedly flies in the face of the game is the idea that it's Ismelda who ultimately takes over teaching her class History of Magic in Rowan's stead after their death in year 6, and in my personal version of the Circle of Khanna, Ismelda actually joined the organization not just because Merula invited her to, but actively out of wanting justice for Rowan.

I also think Chiara Lobosca and Nymphadora Tonks would have developed a very close bond over time, both before and after school. Not only are their dormmates who quite frankly could learn a lot from each other, but I love the idea that half the reason Tonks is so blase and accepting about her future partner Remus Lupin being a werewolf is because she met and fully accepted Chiara first. I also really like the idea that Chiara was the one who put Tonks in contact with Lupin and the Order of the Phoenix in the very beginnings of the Second Wizarding War.

Speaking of dormmates, Charlie Weasley and Ben Copper were good friends at school, you can rip that idea out of my cold, dead hands. In my headcanon, I actually imagine Charlie -- in true Weasley fashion -- becoming a bit protective of Ben after Merula targeted him so openly in their first year for his ancestry. When Ben went through his radical transformation in year 6 and hexed Charlie, the two ended up in a full-on physical fight, though they mended fences when they helped co-found the Circle of Khanna.

Ravenclaw dormies Talbott Winger and Andre Egwu, on the other hand? I'm sorry, these two were always trading sassy barbed comments with each other, I don't make the rules. ("You aren't seriously thinking of going out to Hogsmeade in those, are you?" "I'm not the one strutting about in purple and white-striped pants." "They're lavender-and-white slacks. And they are fashionable, compared to -- whatever hokey American ridiculousness you've got strapped to your feet." "I'm surprised the supposed 'King of Fashion' doesn't know what cowboy boots are.")

Finally I love the idea of Chiara connecting really well with Talbott! I wrote Carewyn befriending these two back-to-back in her fourth year due to how well their side-quest plot lines synced up (and honestly, their introductory TLSQ's were among the best in the entire game, IMO) and I just love the thought that these two "Lone Wolves" in MC's year could find some fun common ground despite their shared tendency to ward people away from them.

Another person that ends up close friends with Chiara in my headcanon is Jae Kim, though there's a bit more Jam-City-canon ammunition behind this. The game also included the ideas that Talbott was friends with Penny before MC and Talbott and Badeea connected through the Circle of Khanna, and I like the thought that Talbott kept in contact with both of them well after Hogwarts too. Even Merula and Tulip's game-canon fractured friendship, which I don't imagine healed that well at school, I personally like imagining improved after Tonks's death, when Merula and Tulip both took comfort from each other at her and Lupin's funeral.

A/N: I couldn't find any image corresponding to what I wanted. So, I take advantage of this chapter to share one of my headcanon: Jae's patronus.

I always thought it fit him like a glove. 😊

Determined, Jae Kim walks through the gloomy forest surrounding Snyde Manor. The hasty departure of wildlife fleeing the human approach echoes in the night, lit by a gibbous moon. The tension of his silent companion is tangible. Annie disapproves of this meeting place. The risk of ambush is too great. This is precisely why no one else could have accompanied him.

After Voldemort’s rise, Jae used his smuggling routes to ex filtrate Muggleborns and other Death Eaters targets, and Annie used her duties to cover them up by leading their pursuers on false leads. Thus, Chiara, their werewolf friend who deserted her pack that had fallen under Greyback’s domination, could take refuge in France. Diego too.

Annie is an Auror. Jae is a smuggler cook. They are not on the same side of the Galleon. Yet, they have always helped each other. He contributed to the success of her missions by providing her with information; she saved him from Azkaban or from his rivals. They are friends, partners, and they have been lovers for a long time. Their relationship has always been one of total trust and non-judgment, and since their teenage years, their respective solitudes have met every time they were single. They can’t love each other, so they gave each other pleasure. It’s better than nothing.

For several months, another woman occupies Jae’s thoughts. Always present to concoct the potions needed for certain negotiations or to repair the side effects of a few dubious transactions, she has supported him in most of his undertakings. Her solar beauty, her gossip and her kindness won over his heart, which Jae had long thought closed to all the other women who were not Annie. Alas! Penny Haywood was brutally torn away from him before he could confess his feelings.

But after weeks of investigation and negotiation, Jae is going to get her out of this Hell. The last evacuation before chaos and war.

Nobody at the meeting point, a clearing with a rune stone. Annie's spirit slips through his mental defences to comfort him, but through her legilimency, he also detects her anxiety.

Suddenly, a veil seems to be torn away to reveal a witch flanked by two people huddled together. Jae stiffens. This is not what they have planned. They are two. The witch pulls her hood over her shoulders and steps aside to expose her prisoners. Penny and… Jacob?

Merula’s vanity feeds on power, and money is an excellent source of it. So, the smuggler throws a well-filled purse at her. She weighs it and with a look allows Penny to join him. He takes her hand in his, trying to convey all the affection that no words can describe. Her chapped lips draw a tired smile, but full of promise. Then Merula unlocks Jacob’s handcuffs and pushes him unceremoniously toward his sister, stunned. He is in an awful state.

“Get him out of here!”

Jacob rushes to Annie, snatches her wand from her hands, and turns it on his jailer.

“Traitor!”

The air becomes electric as the two enemies stare at each other as if the world no longer exists. Jae shudders, fearing the worst, blood pulsing in his ears. He stands in front of Penny and probes the Auror, undecided.

“Go on! What are you waiting for?”

“Merula, don’t provoke him. We’re going to leave nicely and...” says Jae.

“Crucio!” Jacob’s voice has the hardness of a block of ice.

With a blood-curdling howl, Merula falls to her knees under the power of the terrible curse as Annie throws herself on top of her brother to stop this madness.

“Stupefy!” shouts Jae.

The prisoner collapses. Merula pushes Annie away, who wants to help her. “Get out!”

She stands up and walks towards the fainting mage. The witch bursts into a sinister laugh, her amethyst eyes full of painful madness. She curtsies mockingly. “I bow low... Me, I would never have succeeded in using this magic against you!”

With a sneer of bitterness, Merula turns on her heels. “You have fifteen minutes to leave my property!”

Annie pours the essence of dittany to heal Jacob's raw wounds–the rest will wait. Then Jae wakes him with a spell. “Renervate,”

The quartet leaves the premises without a word. First on foot, then by teleporting to the shore where a Portkey awaits them.

“This book will take you to Deauville. Chiara and Diego are waiting for you there,” says Jae to Penny.

Her emaciated face and bleary eyes knot his stomach. She looks so vulnerable in her rags, barely concealed by that cape. He feels like he’s leaving a puppy by the side of the road and hoping it will survive. Doubt and guilt assail him like stakes in the abdomen. Jae Kim never thought he would be torn between the two women in his life.

“And you? What will you do?”

“I’ve got stuff to sort out,” Jacob scolds before disappearing, giving no one time to protest.

As usual, Jae sees Annie break down under her brother’s apparent indifference.

“We’ll fight at Hogwarts,” he says.

Annie places a hand on the smuggler’s shoulder. “Go with her... You’ve done enough,”

“That’s not our plan,”

Annie’s eyes get cloudy. “That’s my plan... Petrificus Totalus!”

“Why?”

The two friends accompany him to the ground, stiff as a board. Annie kisses the corner of his lips. A soft, wet imitation of their first kiss in the Hogwarts kitchens, the one he won after a bet.

Her answer resonates in his mind as she pulls herself together. “You know damn well why,”

Petrified, Jae wants to protest!

“Take care of each other!” orders Annie, placing a Portkey and a bag full of gold in Jae’s immobile arms. “In case of defeat, never come back!”

In tears, Penny briefly hugs the Auror. “Be careful,”

Helplessly, Jae endures the whirlwind of a journey in the arms of the one he loves while his mind focuses on his lifelong partner.

Just Realized Something About My Snape-Hardbroom-Hobbes Headcanon:

Since I have Nick Hobbes be born on Christmas Day of 1984 (in secret to Snape and Hardbroom), this means he was born during the star of “Hogwarts Mystery”. Thus, meaning that Snape would’ve been teaching the main kids while also worrying about his own kid’s arrival (along with giving said kid up for adoption and Snape’s divorce from Hardbroom). 

That all being said, this could also mean that Snape was (in his own Severus Snape way) asking his students questions that would give him ideas on what good names to give his son. Like this:

Severus Snape: While Libatius Borage has a rather...memorable name, it is vital for a wizard to have a more...adequate title. For the sake of (dare I say) entertainment, tell me what suitable names would you give yourselves if you would make powerful witches and wizards.

Penny Haywood: “Celestia Ruth”.

Chester Davies: “Solomon Ceartas”.

Merula Snyde: “Gloria Aeternus”

Charles Weasley: “Rufus Dragonheart”.

Merula Snyde: “Doofus Dragonbreath” best suits you, Weasley. If not, then “Filch Breath” would certainly do.

Penny Haywood x Jacob's Sibling Headcanons - (Post-Graduation; Established Couple)

So I recently starting playing Hogwarts Mystery again, and after having watched a lot a few clips of all the new dating quests that had been added, it got me itching to write some content for Penny.

So here are some headcanons I came up with for Penny Haywood x gn!MC that details what happen to the two of you after your time at Hogwarts. Hope you enjoy!

After graduation, it is probably rather predictable as to which careers both you and Penny would decide to pursue.

Having been given a surprisingly positive recommendation from Professor Snape, Penny decides to continue her studies into potion making by becoming an apprentice to a few rather famous Potion Masters.

You on the other hand, decide to make full use of your abundant experience with the Cursed Vaults by pursuing a career as a Curse-Breaker for the Gringotts Wizarding Bank; being assigned to Gringotts' Egyptian branch where you are reunited with Bill Weasley as his new partner/trainee.

You and Penny often don't get to see one another for weeks or even months at a time, as your new respective obligations keeping you both very busy. But as disheartening as it is, all your past experiences together (from the Celestial Ball, to past Valentine's Days, to the Magic Festival), reassures the two of you that no amount of distance could possibly end a relationship as strong as yours. Both of you frequently write letters to the other and always try to reply as quickly as possible.

When Bill eventually moves back to England and tells you about the new girl he's been dating, it makes you realize just how much you miss seeing Penny on a regular basis. And so you decide to resign from Gringotts and take a position with the Ministry of Magic in England where you either a) continue your career as a Curse Breaker or b) shift career paths and become an Auror.

(Both options see you reuniting with Tonks and Talbott at the Ministry, but deciding to become an Auror would result in a lot more teasing from Tonks. Since she's been an Auror longer than you, that means you would technically have to follow all of her orders for the first 2-3 years of your career.)

You and Penny eventually move in together and rent a cramped, dingy flat not too far from either of your jobs, (Penny preferring to refer to the space as "cozy"). She tries to be supportive of your career choice, but internally worries a lot about how much danger your job puts you in. She often brews and stores large amounts of healing potions in the flat just in case.

All that being said though, after having spent so much time apart, you both really enjoy being able to start and end each day side-by-side.

You continue to gain recognition for your deeds as a Curse Breaker/Auror as you rise through the ranks of your department, and Penny eventually finishes her apprenticeships & goes on to create and sell her own original potions & recipes; her name and skill becoming well know across the country. (That right people! Penny makes bank!)

Attending Bill and Fleur's wedding together and deciding if the two of you want to get married yourselves.

Fighting side-by-side during the Battle For Hogwarts with the rest of the Order of the Phoenix and being there for one another as you mourn Tonks and the rest of your dead friends. Having a small wedding afterwards surrounded by close friends and family.

A few months later, you and Penny both receive letters from Headmistress McGonagall asking if the two of you would like to be the new Defense Against The Dark Arts Teacher and the school's new Potion Professor respectively; an offer which you both accept.

Working together as married couple, sitting next to one another at the High Table in the Great Hall during meals, grading your respective student's assignments together, both of you being the most popular teachers at the school.

Going to Madam Puddifoot's Tea Shop every once in a while like you did on your first date. Somehow getting voted as the school's best couple (even though only students were supposed to be eligible), helping guide many young wizards and witches to be the best they can be.

And through it all, being very very happy together.

Also I wouldn’t consider it an argument more of a debate I just added the tag just in case because I’ve been in similar situations where the other op just started to take it personally but I liked the debate it was fun and gave me a different view point of your opinions

1. How does their relationship develop in tandem with the Vaults?  Are they a hindrance or do they bring them closer together?

For a while MC was a little afraid that a relationship with Penny may cause a hitch in the cursed vaults hunt or get Penny hurt in the process but that wasn’t the case. Penny was intelligent and careful if anything she actually hastened the search, without Penny several vital pieces needed to solve the puzzle that is the vaults would be missing. In fact, all the time together researching on miscellaneous topics that could assist them in the future probably brought them together in the first place. Their relationship grows the more MC and Penny open up to each other

6. What rumors do you think would float around Hogwarts about their relationship, if any?  How would your MC react to them upon learning about them?

A majority of the students are unaware of their relationship since it’s pretty low-key but for a while there was this one rumour where MC was using Penny in her heist of the cursed vaults for her potion making skills.

Once MC heard of this she was furious. She would never take advantage of her friends and if they didn’t want to join her find the cursed vaults then she was fine with it, they’d still be friends! The first thing MC did was sit down with Penny and have a long discussion on whether or not Penny felt like their relationship was built on the cursed vaults and potions making, unsurprisingly Penny said no

There was also this one rumour that Penny was dating MC because Penny only pitied her, MC didn’t actually hear about this one because once Penny heard it spreading around she immediately shut it down. First and foremost, Penny was offended, she would never date someone out of pity, she couldn’t even imagine stooping that low; MC remained unaware of the situation because it blew off pretty quickly.

12. What are their favorite ways to be physically affectionate?

Penny likes to hold hands, stated in a previous post, it’s subtle and cute and they can do it mostly anywhere and anytime. And when sitting together they both like to hold hands discreetly under the table

Cute HPHM headcanons

Everyone loves Barnaby's hugs, they are almost therapeutic. His body heat is always high and he lets his friends lean on him during the winter.

Badeea croons in a super cute voice while she paints

Jae's sneakers are full of sketches, small drawings, signatures and nice words from his friends

Talbott is a total shit with people his age, but around adults he's really polite. The elder women often tell him that he is a charming young man.

Liz's eyes light up when she talks about magical creatures, plus she starts doing little cute bounces.

André smells incredibly good, like a mix of fresh laundry and fancy cologne. Everyone wants to sit next to him in class.

Charlie can carry any of his friends in his arms without difficulty, and he oftens lift people up when he hugs them.

Fem Rowan has the cutest laugh ever. Everybody always starts laughing with her when she does so.

Male Rowan always has his tie tied badly. That gives him a goofy but really tender touch

Ben's hair is the softest thing in this world. He let you touch it if you ask nicely.

Merula sneezes like a kitten.

When Ismelda blushes, the blush reaches to the tips of her ears

Penny's hair shines like gold in the sun

Beatrice has plump, cubby, blushed cheeks. Like a baby.

Bill is so skinny that if you hug him, you can wrap your arms around his body twice.

Chiara is very good with children. She could play with them all day.

Harry Potter Teachers!AU

Mainly a place where Harry Potter became the new DADA professor along with a few other characters after the Second Wizarding War (SWW). 

Neville Longbottom had been the first of the group to accept the position of the Herbology Professor. He’d obtained his mastery a year after the SWW, and Sprout acknowledged her retirement (rather gleefully as she’d approved of Neville). He became the Head of Gryffindor house, spending copious time with his students, checking in often.

Celaena Phantomhive followed her fellow friend after a few years. With a mastery in Potions, DADA, and Charms, she achieved her dream of becoming the Charms Professor. She also succeeded Professor Slughorn for the position of the Head of the Slytherin House and ran it like how she had already done in her last seven years at Hogwarts. She followed Snape’s example of allowing open hours for her students to check in as well as mandatory physicals at the beginning of the year. 

Penny Haywood joined the staff as the new Potions Master at the behest of Celaena and Snape, who reached out shortly after the war concluded. As Slughorn wanted to retire ASAP, she happily took the role and later assumed the title of Head of Hufflepuff once Sprout retired. Her cheerful and friendly personality had been a stark contrast to Snape, but she managed to fulfill the balance between the loose chaos and order in the class. 

Harry Potter ended the curse on the DADA position. Fitting, as he ended the person who cursed the position in the first place. After five years, he achieved the mastery of DADA and joined the staff. He enjoys teaching the next generation with the stability he was not allowed and treated every student as his own (another reason he declined the position as the Head of Slytherin). Following Remus Lupin’s example, he has also adopted the cardigan outfit rule much to the dismay of Malfoy and Phantomhive. 

Draco Malfoy surprised everyone and eventually joined the staff as the Transfiguration professor, releasing McGonagall to fully address being Headmistress. He, too, like Harry, declined in the role of Head of Slytherin, but still kept a soft spot for the new snakes. 

Luna Lovegood descended to Hogwarts to teach Care of Magical Creatures after a decade from the SWW. She, in her free wit and logic, taught her students to be kind and never skeptical of the mystery. Students were allowed to venture deeper into the Forbidden Forest for the pursuit of knowledge from her good relationship with its inhabitants. She succeeded Flitwick as Head of Ravenclaw.

Bill: Alright, alright. I think we’ve tormented poor Rowan enough.

Andre: We were teasing you. You’re the only one who cares about it.

Jae: What should we do to him next?

Rowan: I’m still here!

What do you think our friends' Patronus will be? We now only know about Tonks and Fred and George, so do you have any headcanons for the others?

I actually made a post about Patronuses a while ago where I proposed a Crane Patronus for Rowan, a Lion Patronus for Ben, a Fox Patronus for Penny, and a Black Mamba for Merula. You can find the explanations for these choices: here.

In another analysis about the Weasleys, I proposed a Stallion Patronus for Bill and a Welsh Green Dragon Patronus for Charlie. Again, more on that: here.

I also really like the headcanon of a Seal Patronus for Badeea, which was suggested to me: here.

I once saw the idea of a White Swan Patronus for Talbott, and I kind of love that, too. Obviously, it’s a great reference to his mother and her Animagus form. But the general symbolism is quite fitting as well, in my opinion.

A swan personality is mixed–so it is an ambiguous symbol of light, love, romance, death, transformation, poetry, and melancholy passion (…). In Roman mythology, the swan symbol is connected to Aphrodite’s beauty as well as with Apollo – the God of poetry, prophecy, and music. There is a Greek fable which tells us about the swans’ last unearthly song as they die, which tie them up to poetry as well as death.

I especially like the connection with poetry, considering that it is one of Talbott’s hobbies.

For Jae, I think that a Raven Patronus is perfect as ravens are one of the most intelligent birds, but they’re also playful. Moreover, it is said that they steal shiny things, which kind of goes along with Jae’s business. I mean, he rather deals with things, but we had some hints here and there that he wouldn’t mind stealing. Also, one theory is that ravens hoard shiny objects to impress other birds of their species. And while we know that he sends most of his money back to his mother, Jae likes to boast a little and appear cool, too.

I think that a Raven would be quite fitting for Tulip as well, to be honest. I mean, she’s a clever girl who thinks outside of the box. Plus, “Karasu” literally means “a raven”. Although after spending a while thinking about it, I guess I might go with an Otter Patronus for Tulip – just to make things a bit more diverse.

Otter symbolism and meanings include playfulness, laughter, and mischievousness, as well as creativity, transformation, and psychic abilities.

They’re also said to be social and associated with friendship. And yeah, Tulip’s story started from “betraying” a friendship, but she grew a lot in that matter, mostly thanks to MC and Tonks. And her friendship with Tonks might actually be the strongest and most prominent relationship when it comes to NPCs, in my opinion. So, I think it fits rather well overall.

For Barnaby, I definitely see a dog – and to be more specific, I think I’ll go with a Rottweiler Patronus. This breed is said to be devoted, courageous, and fearless, but they’re also playful and goofy. With a proper upbringing, they’re good-natured and gentle towards their owners. Apparently, they also can be very cuddly.

All right, this one is very unoriginal, but I kind of do like a Wolf Patronus for Chiara. I know, it’s so cliché for a werewolf, and I don’t really like to draw similarities between Chiara and Lupin, but… it makes sense, y’know.

Those who conjure the wolf are normally very mysterious. There is always something new to learn about these individuals. While some who produce this patronus enjoy their own company compared to being around others, they are still always loyal to those closest to them. [They] will protect friends and family with a fierce passion. While first impressions can lead one to believe the wolf patronus belongs to a strong silent type, they also have a playful side underneath. However, this is only displayed towards trusted individuals.

Now, for Ismelda, I think I’ll go with a Hedgehog Patronus. I once saw it proposed for Merula, which I can’t really agree with. But Ismelda? Yeah, it works, in my opinion. She has her spikes and wants them to appear very threatening, but at the end of the day, Ismelda is a very regular teenage girl who likes to pet puppies and to drink Pumpkin Fizz served with a tiny umbrella – which is quite cute, like a tiny hedgehog.

I have a pretty hard time with Andre and Liz, partially because their personalities are rather inconsistent between the main story and the side quests. I also have a problem with Diego since I skipped some of the quests where he played a bigger role and I didn’t start his recent SQ yet, either. It’s a similar case with the Quidditch cast for me… So, sorry for that. No headcanons here.
