Idk guys as much as I really do love the whole three day athena-sponsored smash fest at the end of the odyssey it just doesn’t super sit right with me that epic would also end like that. In my mind there’s no world where penelope is unconcerned with her son’s whereabouts after everything is said and done. Like yeah of COURSE she is more than excited to have odysseus back in her arms again but also. Where is her boy? Her greatest treasure, her mini-me, the only person who truly understood the chaos and ruin the suitors we’re bringing upon her household? The one who sat at her feet as she wept and wove, and told him stories of how his father wooed and courted her when they were young? No, my girl penelope would want BOTH of her boys with her before she goes to sleep that night

What hurts most about everyone in Fionna and Cake saying how Ice King was so much better and cooler and more awesome than Simon is that nobody liked Ice King when he was Ice King.

Ice King was seen as annoying and unpleasant at best, and a genuine danger and creep at worst. And for the few that knew about Simon, he was just a shell of his former self that could be really upsetting to be around at times because of how awful he had become and how tragic the whole situation was.

Now everyone who wasn't forced to deal with the IK's bs directly and only know an idealized version of him are telling Simon that he should go back to being insane and unhinged because to them, how he is now is "too boring and depressing". And yeah, I guess it's not really their faults because they don't realize how their words affect Simon, but because of them he is teetering on the edge of what is essentially another dangerous, prolonged manic episode.

I bet the little girl that kept harassing Simon would hate Ice King if she had to deal with him flying into the human town, stealing women and freezing people on a whim and destroying stuff, regularly.

This is not to say I hate Ice King btw, he's actually one of my favorite characters in the show even when separated from Simon, but in-universe this is all true. Almost all the characters that started being nicer to him did so only because they were told about Simon or because they were fans of his Fionna and Cake stories. I mean hell, most of his fellow wizards didn't even like him, only some of the low-level guys were his buddies. Lady Island is an outlier because IK managed to keep it in his pants that whole episode, miraculously.

* Takes a deep breath * The artist in me doesn't what to artist this days >:) probably just a weird phase, it will be fine, but I did have a harder time with this piece than I usually do, so I gave up on thumbs (or even actual hands sbxjsbsn) but I'm happy with it, even if it might not be my best one on a techinal sense the cuteness totally makes up for it, come on exjksnxns

I had a bit of a hard time coming up with outfits as well, but I did actually mean to make Marceline looks this "girly" 'cause I thought her little braids looked adorable and for Bonnie I used the one she wears "Jellybeans Have Power" as inspiration (and I did made them match their hairstyles on purpose 'cause that's cute).

They're totally destined to be friends in every lifetime. Like, we already know of Shoko, Shermy would probably end up meeting them at some point as well, plus I have strong suspicions that Jo (the little girl that befriends Marceline in "Stakes") was also another of Finn's past lives...

I made this for @blenselche as a thank you for the drawing they made of dragon Bonnie and Finn!!! I really hope you like it :) I used your drawing of Penelope as a reference for how she looks like without the bear hat, just changed her hair 'cause she really looks like she has an undercut to me ebxjsbjxs
