The Side Project - 1/32 scale M-Sport Ford Fiesta conversion: Since I was a child I have been a huge fan of rallying. On the odd weekend I fondly remember my Dad taking me to one of those small model shops, the type that felt like it went on forever... On the odd occasion my Dad would let me pick a scalextric car from the huge range that they had for sale at the time. More often than not it was rally car (except the once when I had my eye on a ford GT-40) any how I still have the cars from that great era of the 2000's which I treasure greatly. As @scalextric have not produced any WRC cars from this modern era lately I wanted to add one to my collection and so I bought myself a Bburago model of Seb Ogier's 2017 ford fiesta figuring I could perform a conversion to it. I got hold of s chassis kit from Pendle slot racing and scratch built the rest of the chassis. It was unfortunate tough as I couldn't use the original tyres so I did have to purchase an actual pair for a slot car. All in all the cost came to that of a slot car off the shelf today + my time.
