Ogwen Valley Temperature Inversion by Frightened Tree You know you wait for ages to see a temperature inversion and then see three in a matter of weeks. This was taken in the Ogwen Valley in Snowdonia. I left the car at 05.05 and got to the top of the Devil's Kitchen at 05.45 which is some going. I then spent over 90 minutes looking for my phone which I realised I had dropped while somewhere between the Glyder Fawr scree and Llyn y Cwn - I didn't find it. Anyway, misery turned to joy when I got to witness this sight. www.instagram.com/frightenedtreephotography/ www.facebook.com/beckyandadriansphotography https://flic.kr/p/2mX73qY

Llyn Ogwen is a ribbon lake in north-west Wales. It lies alongside the A5 road between two mountain ranges of Snowdonia, the Carneddau and the Glyderau. Somewhat unusually, the county boundary at this point is drawn so that the lake itself lies in the county of Gwynedd, but all the surrounding land (excluding the outflow) lies in Conwy County Borough. It lies at a height of about 310 metres above sea level and has an area of 78 acres but is a very shallow lake, with a maximum depth of only a little over 3 metres. It is fed by a number of streams from the slopes of the mountains which surround it, which include Tryfan and Pen yr Ole Wen. It is said that after the Battle of Camlann (King Arthur's final battle), Sir Bedivere (Bedwyr) cast the sword Excalibur into Llyn Ogwen, where it was caught by the Lady of the Lake. Tryfan is said to be Sir Bedivere's final resting-place. Ref: Wikipedia Discovered at Llyn Ogwen, Conwy County Borough, Wales. See more at Trover

It’s 4;30 pm on a cold Tuesday afternoon, here in the UK. I’m sitting at my computer when it struck me. I haven’t submitted anything for this weeks challenge. Although to be fair, I’ve been busy testing new software and working on a new project.
Now here’s the other thing, I haven’t taken any photographs, that I can use, since my visit to Budapest nearly a month ago. For me that is really…
