NOTES:
During the 12th century, the tradition of Finnish given names was lost due to the Christianization of Finland under Sweden's rule. By the 16th century only Christian names were accepted, which is why Finnish forms of Christian names are still widely popular in Finland despite the society being fairly secular. The tradition of native Finnish given names wasn’t revived until the 19th century.
Most Finnish surnames end in suffixes -nen or -la/-lä. The collective suffix -nen, which is more common in Eastern Finnish surnames, indicates belonging to a certain family or clan. The suffix -la/-lä, which is more common in Western Finnish surnames, creates oikonyms from the names of places, farms or small villages.
Karelian can be used to refer to a geographical place, language, dialect or people. It is important to note that Karelian is its own language separate from Finnish. However, the Finnish language also has a Karelian dialect that is spoken in the Finnish Karelia. Finnish surnames originating from Karelia have likely been influenced by both Karelian and Finnish.
The IPA forms follow Finnish phonology even with foreign (Swedish, Russian etc.) names in approximation to how an average Finn pronounces them.
The source for most of the given names is Behind The Name. The topographic surnames are direct translations. The explanations for the rest of the surnames are either from Wiktionary or based on speculation by Finnish genealogy enthusiasts, hence the overuse of the word "possibly".
Feedback is welcome. If you have additions or notice any mistakes, please let me know!

Pehr Wickenberg (Oct. 1, 1812 - 1846) was a Swedish artist who died quite young from tuberculosis. He entered the Academy in Stockholm at an early age and traveled extensively after graduating. One of his paintings ended up in the Louvre in Paris, but has since been lost - one of the museum directors lent it to a Parisian lady who failed to return it...

I went down a whole Sweeney Todd rabbit hole by reading up on articles and watching videos to find out a bit more about the origins of the tale of Sweeney Todd beyond the original penny dreadful. Apparently the story is inspired by a supposed true story, though it can't be verified.
According to this story, a murderous barber and a next door baker did exist but it took place in medieval Paris around the year 1400. Allegedly they are supposed to have killed around 200-400 people. The more you read about it, the more it appears to be an urban legend from France, both the Penny Dreadful and the original urban legend contain the dog that eventually gives away the killer as it refuses to leave the front of the barbershop after its owner disappeared, though the dog has been removed from the musical and Tim Burton's adaptation.
The oldest written mention of this myth comes from 1612 in which a Swedish traveller by the name of Pehr Lindestrom in France is warned about a murderous barber working in Calais, Pehr found this tale fascinating enough to write it down in his journal which survived until today. Interestingly, his version of this story got translated into English and was published in England just a few decades before 'A string of pearls' was written, the original Sweeney Todd tale. It is clear that the writer of Sweeney Todd was inspired by this French legend. Even Charles Dickens wrote about cannibalistic bakers before the publication of Sweeney Todd so the urban legend must have been relatively well known.
Another interesting bit, yet it is impossible to tell if it is true, is that during Napoleonic France, the chief of the Parisian police, Joseph Fouché was apparently investigating a case of a barber working in Paris who was suspected of having killed people with a neighbour baker disposing the bodies into pies. Sadly we do not have any evidence in form of investigative papers.
My honest opinion about Sweeney Todd's origins? I believe it is an urban legend created around the 14th century in France as a cautionary tale to warn others of strangers and of strange food that you have not prepared, you can never truly know where the meat comes from that you buy. Though it is always fun to fantasize about it all being real. Imagine travelling to Fleet Street and to discover an old closed off sewage system beneath the street just filled with human remains, hundreds of them. As in the original tale it is told that Sweeney and Lovett dump the skeletons in a chamber in the sewage directly below the bakery.
I'm sorry for this late midnight rant but I love investigating urban legends such as these.

Human Names for Cookie Run Characters: Vanilla Kingdom
Inspired by this post. I love the name sm. Fav is Cream Soda's (Chiriko S. Chisaka) bcuz it fits her so well.
The Vanilla Kingdom was inspired by Germany, the Netherlands, and Scandinavia, so their names will take inspo from that. But, it won't be strictly based on that bcuz it's a very diverse kingdom. Also, some of this is headcanon since I like assigning Cookies to towns and kingdoms, lol. Not put there randomly, I have my reasons for putting them where they are.
Pure Vanilla Cookie: Pehr Väinö
White Lily Cookie: Whina L. (as in Lily) Fehér
Custard Cookie iii: Custe Prince iii
Strawberry Crepe Cookie: Strahan B. (Berry) Creap
Black Raisin Cookie: Balika Raakin
Adventurer Cookie: Advar Tur
Blackberry Cookie: Blakelyn "Blake" Bairie
Fig Cookie: Frigga Forrest
