Pegeen Vail Guggenheim (August 18, 1925 – March 1, 1967) daughter art patroness Peggy Guggenheim, Peggy was an artist on her own right, combining primitivism with surrealism. (naïve art) she suffered from depression, and died from an overdose.

Richard Pousette-Dart created this fantastic portrait of Pegeen Vail Guggenheim, painter and daughter of Peggy Guggenheim. Pousette-Dart would show works at salons at Art of This Century, Peggy Guggenheim's groundbreaking gallery in New York City, over the next several years, culminating in a solo show there in 1947.
