Amangeaux insists that Colin learn to like wine. She's Fructeran, so it's a must for her, but the islands aren't a major wine-producing country due to the geography, so it gets imported and becomes expensive there.

She is so certain that he'd like a certain kind of wine, but he ends up strongly preferring something else [insert a wine-cheese pairing provolone vs. fontina joke here because I'm too lazy rn to look up wines].

Yes, this is entirely for the wine and cheese joke.

anyway i’m thinking about amangeaux becoming the next spymaster and going from a life where everyone watched her to a life where nobody could and telling karna she loves her every night and how she could not care for karna in life so she must care for her in death and just. yeah

I know that some of the secrets were already revealed, but I simply need to share my opinions on the other ones. TRW episode 1 spoilers ahead!

Lady/Queen Amangeaux: based on the finding of spreadsheets and balance sheets, she might have been embezzling money from her husband before he died. or possibly, and based solely on the repeated importance of her heir, paid to cover up the birth of an illegitimate child (a la Saccharina Frostwhip) or paid to try and produce one. I definitely think she looks guilty when heirs are brought up.

Colin Provolone: hard to judge fully. probably either abandoned a crew at sea/caused an accident/something to kill a crew and be the sole* surviver. other options could be betrayal of a crew for another or refusing to join one, maybe a family business of piracy that he turned his back on? I honestly am lost for this one, so I'd love to know what others think.

Raphaniel Charlock: 100% killed someone. Probably the king, probably was plagued by visions to do so if not urged by the queen of she got caught embezzling. but undoubtedly killed someone. I highly doubt he was selling this magic flower as a recreational drug. my man is so so so fucked up!

Karna: probably just as she said, but could have something to do with her transformation capabilities too. if she were to disguise self and get a spy boss killed on the grounds of heresy or witchcraft? that would slap.

Thane Delissandro: just as he said. maybe she's an heir too. maybe he's also into Colin a little bit. who knows?

In dark enough settings, it can shed low light.   Eyes: Like frozen pools; her right eye is a sharp blue, and her left is a clear lavender.  Skin: Ghostly pale, dotted with occasional beauty marks.  Tattoos/scars: Graced with stretch marks but beyond that no notable scars.

Abilities: - Odette is a beacon to lost souls, ghosts, and spirits. They flock to her and under the umbrella of her influence their forms are altered into that of moths. They cling to her, calling for aid which she lends as best she can. Odette is a psychopomp, she guides the dead without judgment. She can see, hear, and otherwise interact with these lost and stuck souls. She has a custom job fusion of WHM (Conjury)/PLD.

- A strong defensive fighter, Odette prefers her shield and conjurer’s cane to the sword that hangs at her side. She wields her shield well, trusting in it fully to keep herself and her loved ones safe. When she plants her cane, the river rises. 

- Kulning is an ancient form of herding calls used over long distances. Odette learned the skill in her youth and uses it still, calling in her small flock of Karakul at her home. Is this important enough to put here? Probably not, it’s just an additional fun fact! For you!

Hobbies: Reading, gardening, knitting (badly), and exploration. She also plays piano and harp.

Most Positive Trait: The warmth of her personality, her willingness to meet and love people as they are and as they change. She owns a Chocobo, named Beauty, who was gifted to her by her friend None. Most of the time if she is riding, she rides Rou, her most loyal Karakul.  Been Arrested: No, but she should have been.
