#abbey plays zzz #I've been waiting for this I'm so happy #for anyone who doesn't know #GeForce Now allows you to play games your PC can't run #it's cloud-gaming basically #so as long as your wifi connection is good you can play them #since I don't have my PC anymore this is how I've been playing games such as Genshin and Wuthering Waves #and now it's Zenless Zone Zero's time ! let's goooo #obviously there's a catch #since the service can be played for free #you can only play for 1 hour and there's a queue of other people who wanna play #but 1) once your session ends you can just get back in again #and 2) the queue usually doesn't take long #anyways I hope they end up bringing Infinity Nikki like PLEASE #that would solve a lot of problems for us mobile players #I'm begging 😭#gonna use the tag just in case ig #zenless zone zero

falling back into an old special interest thanks to clips on youtube and i feel like i'm 12 years old again

#i mean. into in horror and grey's anatomy was basically my entire life at age 12 #the depression's here too but i'm trying to mitigate that #term's over so i can do some baking and some music and my PC parts shipped too!!!!#which means i can start on some projects i've been meaning to start on for a while now #(as soon as they get here and i install them which in and of itself is a project)#i really just want to watch s16 and 17 honestly. the show lost my interest after one arc in particular #(poorly handled genderqueer character. it felt very much like minimal effort for support)#but i want to watch the mental health arc with deluca because the actor is KILLING it in the scenes that i've seen #it feels so accurate and real even if i don't entirely relate with my experiences with mental illness #and the covid arc with meredith as well bc i still love her 🥰#idk about any of the other arcs akdnskdjsjd i don't care much for the other characters #i hate that they killed andrew tho like idk how he dies but that's just bullshit after everything in his arc #like????? maybe don't kill off the character with severe mental illness that you JUST started allowing to recover from????????#idk. just a thought.#that is if i can even watch it akdjskdj i deleted netflix off of my phone #it's on hulu but we don't get that up here and it's still a paid service #idk. i may not watch it at all and just focus on some video games once my pc is fixed

hi, op of the vtm hc post! i love hearing about other's characters- do you mind telling me about the Malk one of my headcanons reminded you of?

oh yes I’d love to!!!!

so these Malkavians are Alexander (nicknamed Faust) and his alternate personality Mephisto!

Faust was Embraced by chance because he was. Well. A murder victim to something completely unrelated to kindred. His sire was reacting to the violence in his domain and discovered him bleeding out, and in a moment of impulse decided to Embrace him.

Thanks to the whole “Just Died In A Violent Murder” thing right before the Embrace, he has a very unfortunate mixture of total amnesia and his derangement/bane being a second personality.

Faust unfortunately did not adjust well to kindred life and has not personally fed the entire few years since he’s been Embraced. His blood bond to his sire takes the form of fear (since I headcanon the bonds can be any positive/negative emotion and not just love/hate), so he rarely spends time with his sire and stays at another haven in the city.

Mephisto on the other hand, who only started existing the moment of the Embrace and has no memories of being human either, adjusted easily and considers himself as a protector or big brother figure to Faust. He’s the one who does all the feeding, he’s the one who visits their sire, he’s the one who manages to get the compact in trouble by taking action. Thankfully for the two of them they’re aware of what the other does.

Also they have a fun twist on the Cast No Reflection flaw where their reflection is just the other personality with a mind of their own. They talk to each other in the mirror a lot and other people can see the strange reflection. They share the same physical and mental stats though their social stats are swapped, and they have different Humanity ratings (which is why Faust constantly has the Blush while Mephisto does not).

While that game was going on they were some of my favorite NPCs and I’m very glad my players enjoyed them too, even if it took a while for their characters to discover they were a pair and not a single guy.

last night i was playing the prison map for rogue trader and man. it was so funny. idira got KO'd before she got a turn, argenta got KO'd three turns in because i forgot that there was an enemy right next to her, and then the rest of the combat was just me (noble officer), cassia, and abelard going around cleaning house. just my lord captain and cassia going "ABELARD. KILL THAT GUY" over and over and over again. amazing.

i got to play bg3 for the first time today (via being the dark urge devil on the shoulder of my friend who streamed it for me) and i had. GREAT fun

pc tantrums are really really annoying and make me want to explode

2 days. 2 days of stress and worry and nonsensical trouble shooting for the problem to simply be xbox bloatware.

lets walk me through the problem im playing marvel rivals: my entire graphics card crashes and never reboots. restart the pc. we're FINE. im playing spiderman: another crash. decide to look into the issue as i keep recreating the same crash.

my first thought: virus. scan for virus. no virus second thought: power struggles. plug into wall instead of surge protector. same problem. third thought: gpu overheating. i take a video of my nvidia stats before the crash. literally nothing out of the ordinary happens. fourth thought: still overheating. clean off fans iwth tooth brush. crash finally, i think it might be pins getting jostled becuase i moved. PROBLEM? i cant fix it. i lack the knowledge. i look into other solutions. i look at the event viewer after recreating the crash. i have 2 very scary words for you

XBOX BLOATWARE

i spend 10 minutes finding out how to turn of gameInput services. turn them off. several hours of uninteruptted spiderman. AND IT FUCKING CRASHES AGAIN ctrl r event viewer direct windows manager crashed what even the fuck so i reddit it. blah blah. proper name, placename, back story stuff. solution. need i say it again

XBOX BLOATWARE

download xbox accessories app. find out my wired controller CANT update. steal my moms xbox one controller. update drivers.

Problem? Solved.

and then it fucking crashed again. EVENT VIEWER SAYS? "critical event. unexpected shutdown at xx:xx" (30 minutes prior to the crash) additional problem. THE SYSTEM DID NOT SHUT DOWN AT THAT TIME. i just go on with my day i dont even try fixing it i dont understand what reddit is saying. cant recreate it? problem solved. at least, in my book. needless to say, my PC is getting to the age where it is an angsty teen. i too, am an angsty teen, and i am going to tear my eyes out.
