I think it’s super interesting how pro-Nash people have become in light of the new season lol. I’ve never seen so many pro-Nash commments on Reddit and I know it’s not just the usual suspects.

It made me LOL when someone said they were afraid to say they don’t like Scarnash—do you all remember when we felt alone?!

I’m glad to have more folks in Scarnash nation. I’m frustrated the show runners didn’t realize that people would get on board just given the opportunity. Ugh. They could have had a cohesive show and it could have even looked intentional if they pivoted to Eliza and Patrick after Stuart Martin left. An incredible rivals to friends to lovers arc. My kingdom to know exactly why this didn’t happen and if it’s truly because they just didn’t want them together.

It’s done. It’s over. Now I go back to writing my fics so I don’t cry over this.

something something patrick having no one he can trust, and eliza having no one who trusts her. eliza struggling with the people skills and smooth talking necessary to succeed in business that come naturally to patrick and patrick struggling with the honesty and moral compass that are necessary to run a good and ethical business that are innate to eliza. them tempering each other and inspiring each other to do better but also genuinely liking each other as they are, while most people find them both irritating. the way they seem like polar opposites and come at things from completely different angles when they in fact share the same ambitions, world views, and long term goals. the romantic arc is right there.
