“There might be strength in numbers Vega. If we petition the council to accept clanless members, there would be more eyes to look into who is behind all of this.” Adrian tried to compromise and make Adam see reason.

Adam swirled the liquid in his glass deep in thought. “If we did present this to the other council members, there would have to be a concrete set of rules these clanless vampires need to abide by.”

“Of course.” Adrian replied signaling to the documents before him, handing them out to the other three. “I’ve outlined all of the important points and guidelines for us to go over. I would like you all to look at page three” Adrian prompted as he flipped through his papers.

As Cordelia began to flip through her papers, her finger caught the sharp edge of the paper and gave herself a paper cut, blood dripping from her finger.
