It's important to me that folks understand that it is deeply distressing to us as veterinary professionals to have to decline care due to pet owners' financial constraints. We're talking nightmares, panic attacks, break down sobbing in front of the entire ICU distressed.

We hate it, and we do everything we can to make it work for people and their pets. We are stuck in a broken system just like you are. Unfortunately, there is only so much that can be done for free before we stop being able to pay our staff, upkeep our machines, and purchase supplies.

Vets do not "only care about money," and if we did, we would be in a different field. We are not rich. I have 6 figures in debt from vet school and currently make less than I would working full time at McDonald's. Verbally abusing vet staff does not help anyone or anything, least of all your pet.

not only do they collect interest on your student loans, depending on the type of loan you get some of them start accruing interest the second they're dispersed, meaning that if you don't start paying them off WHILE YOU ARE STILL IN SCHOOL they increase exponentially on you every month!

Without making this post a thousand miles long, between vet bills, home repair, and a hiccup with my student loan payments, I am very in the red

It might actually be possible for me to sell stickers and whatnot in the near(ish) future! I've had a small win in the realm of personal autonomy today.

First and foremost, I am definitely planning on making stickers of my hazard sign drawings (and can already think of a few improvements to layout and readability on a small scale) but if anyone has any suggestions or ideas on what you'd like to see: Gimmie. I'd like to hear it.
