are there any tasks/ways to teach a PSD to alert to/interrupt maladaptive daydreaming?? I experience it frequently (along with other things) and it interferes with a lot of activities

You could train a dog to provide you DPT during those episodes, provide you with tactile stimulation to help bring you out of it, alert to it happening before it gets too horrible so you can bring yourself out of it, etc. All of these things would be trained a different ways. There are lots of videos on youtube (I recommend Donna Hill highly) or articles across the internet. Pawsandlove on youtube has a few training videos as well!

I would also recommend getting in contact with a trainer as well.
