Love did not cast out fear but was its mother. Fear casts its long shadow, towering over life but he is not unreasonable. His favor can be given or even won in confronting him and not averting one’s gaze. 

He was apart of his father, War’s, retinue but he also kept company with all-mighty Zeus, grey-eyed Athene and wild Dionysos. Each have left their mark and so fear is not simple. He never was.
