Random Paulo Ravinski headcanons I have:

-was already bilingual/spoke English when he moved to America 

-integrated well because of his preexisting interest in American movies 

-he gained a bit of weight after he first moved to America from Europe bc portion sizes 

-loves dark chocolate, cherries, rare steak, and pomegranate 

-mainly subsists off black coffee

-teeth are stained yellow from coffee and tea 

-despite being very pretentious, loves slashers and torture movies. Is very lowkey about it 

-absolutely complains over lack of realism in the gore, with the mindset he could do better 

-loves extreme cinema movies in general and considers them inspirations

-very fixated on other directors. Alfred Hitchcock and Stanley Kubrick are two of his favorites 

-loves anything red or black 

-chronic insomnia (coupled with aforementioned caffeine dependency) uses tea and sleeping pills when absolutely needed but usually deprives himself

-poor sense of memory from insomnia

-watches multiple movies a week 

-owns 3 copies of his outfit, wears twice before washing 

-always wears heavy cologne 

-cares a lot about how his hair looks and feels

-basically, very disheveled but not unsanitary 

-is undead and immortal, died by testing a scene on himself 

-has tried his famous bathtub execution with a toaster before settling on the Frankenstein switch thingy 

-loves taking Polaroid photos 

-uses eye, star, and film strip motifs 

In his apartment, he has his pet mice and snakes he used to torture people in Infestation. He loves “scary” animals. They are all lovingly named after other film directors. He also has a ton of DVDs and vhs tapes. He has a shelf displaying all his video cameras. He has photos, posters, and film strips stuck to the walls.

With Julian:

-watches movies with Julian. Julian’s favorites are all movies from the 20’s-60’s. Paulo shows him edgy arthouse extreme cinema and at first (…despite killing people) it’s like giving a Victorian child a dorito but eventually Julian warms up to it 

-they have a lot of overlap in taste but occasionally have to compromise for each other 

-such as Julian enjoying supernatural horror while Paulo dislikes 

-Julian lets him and only him talk during movies and survive
