What are the pack’s MCU crushes? I’ll go first:
Scott = Tom Hiddleston
Stiles = Chris Evans
Derek = Paul Rudd
Theo = Chris Hemsworth
Liam = RDJ (especially older, DILF RDJ)
Parrish = Mark Ruffalo
Oh, no -- I've written a whole ass Kinktober drabble about Scott's crush being Chris Evans!
Time for a shameless plug in!
Day 30: Cheating / Cuckold (Scott/Chris Evans/Theo)
Chris Evans just chuckled, crossing his arms. Somehow, the action made his tits look even bigger and his arms a lot more massive. "You didn’t think I didn't catch on to you trying to cruise me, did you?" Scott titled his head, confused. Chris continued, "I mean, it's not like I don't know how gay guys think of me. I don't mind though. It's kind of a turn on for me." "Wh..." Scott said, but not being able to say words or think thoughts. His brain had completely short-circuited by now. Instead, he just made a bunch of noises like he was missing his tongue. But Chris interrupted his embarrassing ululating by combing his hand through Scott's hair and clasping the back of his neck with a strong grip. "So, why don't we just skip to the good part, hm?" The grip on Scott's neck tightened as he was suddenly being shoved down into Chris's lap where his lips were being stretched over something large and thick.
Well now that that's done! Let's go down the list!
Scott = Chris Evans (cuz he's Captain America!)
Derek = Chris Hemsworth (He'll never admit it but he wants to get fucked by a big masculine dude)
Theo = Sebastian Stan (also included in the fic above)
Peter = Tom Holland (he gives me sugar daddy vibes, he wants to take care of a twink)
Stiles = RDJ (he and Peter give me opposite energy, he wants a sugar daddy)
Parrish = Tom Hiddleston (just seems like the kinda dude who goes for a guy who looks like him)
Liam = Paul Rudd (I agree, he wants daddies but he wants the hottest DILF)

ANT-MAN AND THE WASP: QUANTUMANIA REVIEW
A new era of Marvel has begun; both in terms of its franchise storytelling and the hit in quality with so much content coming out in a short period. As a big Marvel fan, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumana is the first time in the decade long franchise where "cracks in the armor" is starting to show.
This third entry in the Ant-Man sub-franchise once again stars Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lilly as the titular characters living life successfully with their new business and celebrity stardom. When Scott Lang's daughter, recast with Kathryn Newton, shows out a communicator to the mysterious Quantum Realm, their family gets sucked into the dangerous microscopic land where they must find a way back home.
As simple as that plot description sounds, this movie is jammed packed with overly complicated subplots and characters that really derail the movie. None of the new characters or environments feel all that interesting or fun to explore. With how quickly they brush over developing our established characters to get straight into the CGI-heavy Quantum Realm, the first half focuses on all the wrong characters, including an uninteresting rebellious warrior and a sleep-walking Bill Murray cameo performance.
With so much time wasted with characters no one will connect with, the established characters are left with one-note stereotypes and sitcom-level conflict. The once charming father/daughter connection between Scott and Cassie Lang is barely displayed (not by either actor's fault). The script is heavily rushed and underdeveloped that initial doomed the film as Marvel's first heavy miss.
When it seems all hope is gone for the movie, in comes Jonathan Majors as Kang the Conqueror. Not only does Majors completely steal and save the film, but the focus straightens out to the main characters needing development. The problems still sprinkle back periodically, including a very "fugly looking" secondary returning villain, but the good outweighs the bad in the second half.
As a whole, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania is extremely uneven and underdeveloped. Parts of the movie are good, bad, and just forgettable. For fans of Marvel, it is worth checking out to see the setup and introduction to the next big villain in future movies. For everyone else, this is one that easily is fine waiting for Disney Plus.
6/10

Born as the alpha of the Crescent Wolf Pack he was known to be a fair and kind alpha, listening to those and helping whenever and wherever he could. And he managed to find love and have a child - the best thing that ever happened to him. And luckily for him, his wife's choice of name was way better than his and he couldn't even be mad at it
Though that happiness was quickly short lived when his life was taken and he was stripped away from his daughter. He wasn't sure how long it was, but when he saw his daughter on the other side his heart shattered - knowing that she had met the same fate as he had.
Though, by some twist of fate, he was given a second chance alongside his daughter and what was supposed to be a happy reunion as two living individuals quickly turned to hell.
The military causing the deaths of a good amount of people he cared for, a rising to power with those who just wanted to see his kind dead and/or suffering. It was better for him if he had just stayed dead. But he wasn't going to give up - not for his daughter, his wife, or his pack
Though, another twist was thrown his way and he was sent to 2029. He's basically been in a state of 'what's going on' to 'oh my god there's peace for a bit?' to 'maybe i can retire'. That's him, folks

Sad Banana Goes to the Movies: The 40-Year-Old Virgin
Who doesn't love a good romance? Personally, I'm quite fond of movies like My Big Fat Greek Wedding and When Harry Met Sally. I think I can add this particular flick to my list of movies with great couples. Andy and Trish are, frankly, adorable together. Both of them have interesting personalities and backstories, and Steve Carell and Catherine Keener make a great onscreen twosome. Andy's arc, in particular, is honestly very compelling. It isn't just about shedding his virgin status; our titular hero's journey is about leaving his comfort zone and trying new things. And in the end, isn't that what we all need? Okay, maybe we don't need to take the advice of Andy's coworkers (Seth Rogen and Paul Rudd among them), but my point stands. This is easily my favorite movie of the Judd Apatow/Brat Pack collection. Two thumbs up. See you at the movies!
Next Time: Superbad

Best of 2021 Movies #11: Ghostbusters Afterlife
A family legacy is not the easiest thing to fall into.
Jason Reitman is one of those examples. As his dad Ivan is one of the most infamous comedic directors of all time with his notable movie being Ghostbusters.
But with the failure of the female reboot Jason decided to revisit the original storyline and bring back what made the world so great while bringing in new faces and features.
And it oddly works very well.
A mom and her two kids down on their luck are forced into an old abandoned farm house in rural Oklahoma. While Trevor, played by Finn Wolfhard ingrains himself to the locals and a girl. Nerdy Phoebe, played by McKenna Grace in the years best supporting performance spends her days in summer school with teacher Paul Rudd while learning about the towns frequent earthquakes. Unexpectedly she’d run into an apparition which begins to show her how much of her family legacy lies within the farm.
Reitman blends both new ideals with whiffs of the past as the Spengler and Harold Ramis legacy slowly begins to reveal itself bit by bit until the finale which shows the reunited Ghostbusters even if unnecessarily CGI done together again.
And a legacy can live on this proves.
SUM 22: Bustin all over again comes naturally with Jason Reitmans ode to family legacy both in and out of narrative.

Ghostbusters: Afterlife Review
!!SPOILERS AHEAD!!
If you saw my ‘Favourite Movies this Year’ post, you’ll know that Ghostbusters: Afterlife was right up there! Free Guy was my favourite movie of 2021, but Ghostbusters was a close second! Initially my best friend was more excited for this movie than I was. We first saw the trailer for it back in 2019 and to be honest I’d pretty much forgotten about it before the trailer appeared again in 2021. But her enthusiasm was infectious, so I looked up the trailer again and wound up falling down a Wikipedia rabbit hole researching the movie and its production and from then on, I was hooked! In preparation we decided to re-watch the original Ghostbusters movie from 1984 and I recommend everyone else do the same if you’re interested in seeing this movie. It’s on Netflix and since the last time either of us had seen the movie was back when we were teenagers it was good to have the refresher and get into the spirit of it.
You can watch Ghostbusters II from 1989 or skip it. I looked up the plot on Wikipedia to jog my memory, but you don’t need to re-watch it to get Ghostbusters: Afterlife. You do however need to re-watch the original Ghostbusters movie if you haven’t seen it recently because there are a lot of references to it in the new one. While I think I would have still enjoyed the film if I hadn’t watched the original recently, I definitely think I enjoyed the new one way more because I did! Ghostbusters: Afterlife is the answer to the question, ‘What would the original Ghostbusters movie look like if it was made today with updated special effects and timeless humour?’ You may not have asked the question, but you got the answer and it’s great!
This movie is a riot from start to finish! It’s action packed, there are ghosts and ghouls galore, and the comedy is on point! Fan favourites Bill Murray, Dan Ackroyd, and Ernie Hudson are back as Dr. Peter Venkman, Ray Stantz, and Winston Zeddemore to clean up the town once again and the spirit of Egon Spengler and Harold Ramis are alive and well throughout the film. In this latest installment we are introduced to a new younger cast of characters for the audience to relate to. Finn Wolfhard of Stranger Things fame plays Spengler’s grandson Trevor, McKenna Grace from the Chilling Adventures of Sabrina plays his granddaughter Phoebe, and Carrie Coon of Avengers: Infinity War plays their mother and Spengler’s daughter Callie.
Paul Rudd plays high school science teacher and Callie’s love interest Mr. Grooberson and newcomers Logan Kim and Celeste O'Connor play Phoebe’s new friend Podcast and Trevor’s friend and love interest Lucky Domingo. In this long awaited sequel, set thirty-two years after the Ghostbusters first defeated Vigo the Carpathian in New York City we learn the fates of the original Ghostbusters and meet single mother Callie and her teenage son Trevor and eccentric daughter Phoebe. When Callie, who’s facing eviction, learns that her estranged father Ghostbuster Egon Spengler has died she moves her family to Summerville, Oklahoma and they take up residence in the old farmhouse Egon left them.
Once there Trevor gets a job at a local dinner after developing a crush on Lucky, one of the carhops, and Phoebe enrolls in summer school where she finds a kindred spirit in Mr. Grooberson the science teacher. While at summer school Phoebe befriends another student, who goes by Podcast, and as the movie progresses the kids learn that their grandfather was one of the infamous Ghostbusters and that something very strange is happening in Summerville. The movie features lots of great call backs to the original film. We see Phoebe, Podcast, and Mr. Grooberson tamper with a ghost trap, the Muncher ghost reappears to wreak havoc on Summerville, and Ivo Shandor returns! We also see Phoebe restore the Ghostbusters’ original proton packs and Trevor finds a dilapidated Ecto-1 in the garage and fixes it up. It was previously thought that a third installment of the Ghostbusters franchise would never happen as Bill Murray and other original cast members had made it clear they were not interested and would not sign on.
However, after the death of Harold Ramis in 2014, Jason and Ivan Reitman reimagined the long furloughed sequel as a tribute to Ramis and his beloved character and approached Murry and the other original cast members about the project once more. This time everyone agreed, and the project moved forward. It’s worth noting that prior to Ghostbusters: Afterlife being made the rights to the franchise were renegotiated in a deal that made sure that the original cast and their families were taken care of and would not have to want for anything financially for the rest of their lives. This is what allowed that disastrous all female Ghostbusters reboot in 2016 to be made, but it also paved for Ghostbusters: Afterlife to be made following Ramis’ untimely death.
I think perhaps my favourite thing about this movie apart from the humour is that it’s a touching tribute to an actor and character that so many of us, and our parents, grew up with made by the people closest to him, his friends, and colleagues, and you can really see that in the film. The original actors aren’t acting when they mourn the loss of their friend. The characters mourn Egon as their actors mourn Harold. Something I really loved about the movie was how the ghosts and poltergeists our heroes fight throughout the film and the mission that they are on can all be seen as an allegory for battling disease and the loss of a loved one.
What’s most interesting to me is that this allegory that stuck out so strongly to me was likely unintended as the film was shot in 2019 and wrapped production the year before the COVID-19 Pandemic hit. Nevertheless, I couldn’t help but see the similarities. In the opening scene we see Egon Spengler running from a powerful ghost alone which he attempts to trap using an elaborate set up of ghost traps on his property only for the traps to fail when the power goes out. This leaves Egon defenceless, the ghost attacks him, and he suffers a fatal heart attack.
Watching this in the fall of 2021 two years into a global pandemic that had left over a million dead at that point I couldn’t help but see the similarities between the effects that ghosts, poltergeists, and similar entities in the Ghostbusters universe have on their victims and the way disease can ravage the body and leave those suffering feeling helpless. When a powerful disease takes over those suffering often feel alone and isolated and a heart attack or brain aneurism are common causes of death when someone dies after battling a disease.
In the wake of Egon’s death his daughter Callie and his grandchildren Phoebe and Trevor are left to pick up the pieces, pack up his house, and try to make sense of what he left behind. His friends and fellow Ghostbusters are left feeling remorse and regret for not keeping in touch, for not believing him, and they are left wishing they had more time. All of which will be familiar for anyone that’s lost a loved one to disease whether it was sudden or slow. I found this particularly poignant in the time of COVID-19 and it’s a heartfelt reminder of how fragile we all are and how precarious and precious the lives we lead truly are. While the filmmakers would have had no idea how close to home the movie’s portrayal of loss would be for so many us, I find it fascinating how good art can speak to things that haven’t even happened yet.
The filmmakers weren’t trying to speak to an audience that was living through a global pandemic and watching loved ones die they were simply expressing their own loss over the death of their friend. I think because this depiction came from a genuine place of love and grief for those involved I found it deeply moving and it’s one of the many reasons Ghostbusters: Afterlife will take its place on my list of favourite movies and comfort films that I’ll watch again and again for years to come.
On a lighter note, I have to say I really enjoyed how funny the film was! I thought the humour throughout the film was well timed and well played and the younger actors they cast did a great job of giving the film the levity it needed to make it fun and balance out the heavy themes of loss and regret. It’s fitting that they cast Mike from Stranger Things to play Trevor. Afterall, the show is largely responsible for the eighties’ classic coming back into the public consciousness. While the original movie never really fell out of public awareness the iconic Ghostbuster Halloween costumes from Season 2 of Stranger Things reawakened interest in the original movie and streaming rates skyrocketed as a result. The series is full of references to the franchise.
One of the first thoughts my friend and I had when we walked out of the theatre was that were probably Stranger Things references, we didn’t get yet because of the delayed release of both the movie and the new season. Ghostbusters: Afterlife and Season 4 of Stranger Things were both supposed to premiere within a few months of each other and since Finn Wolfhard appears in both it’s likely that tie ins were planned for both projects. But unfortunately, the release of the film and the actual filming of the show got delayed, pushed, and interrupted by the onset of the COVID-19 Pandemic.
To be honest having watched both the film and the new season of Stranger Things I expected there to be more references and tie ins than I was able to spot. However, this is likely because such references were most likely edited out as they no longer made sense or were never filmed because the release dates had been pushed back considerably and it was unknown when either project would be released for quite some time. For instance, in Ghostbusters: Afterlife you can tell that there’s a cut when the characters are looking at the dates on the tomb wall because of the movie’s release date being pushed from 2020 to 2021.
If you look closely you can also see that the writing on the tomb wall has been edited in post-production to match this as moving the release date to 2021 throws off the original timeline. In Season 4 Vol. 1 of Stranger Things when the Hawkins gang enters the Creel House and Dustin drops his backpack on the floor you can see an ‘I got slimed’ button with a picture of the Muncher ghost on it. I’d love to know what other references and tie ins were originally planned for both projects and if any other eagle eyed fans managed to catch references I didn’t.
Until next time!

felix carter.
paul rudd, bisexual, male + he/him ― hey look, it’s felix carter! they’re forty-four years old, they’ve lived in shrike heights for his whole life, and they’re currently working at key of reason. i heard they’re pretty bitter, but i think they’re so loyal at the same time. can they make it out alive?
tw under the cut: neglect, war, injury, ptsd
> felix’s parents were both absent and present in all the worst ways. most days, felix was left to fend for himself from elementary school; he packed his own lunch, he let himself in after school to an empty house, and he made sure that no one was any the wiser. he pretty much raised himself, and as a result, instead of getting extremely responsible, he shirks responsibility at every corner, wanting nothing more than to regain the innocence he has always felt was robbed from him.
> he made his own money starting when he was a preteen, first as a paper boy in town and then later on getting a job bagging groceries and even later still as a mechanic’s apprentice for a short stint. unfortunately, when he was a teen, the vietnam war had started, and when he was old enough to be drafted, he was sent overseas without much of a choice. at first, he was fine with it; anything to get him away from his parents and this stupid little town.
> he was drafted at eighteen and stayed in the army for the next six years. he didn’t know how to do anything else or where he would go when he was done, so he kept signing up for more tours. for most of his time there, he didn’t see much more than light firefights; never anything terrible until his last year there (though, as he looks back on the experience, all of it was terrible.)
> one dark, steamy, rainy evening out there in the jungle, felix and his squad ended up pinned down and trapped, sinking into the sudden mudhole that had opened up in the rain as opposing forces surrounded them. of the twelve men who went out there that night, only three made it back—one of them being felix.
> he ended up airlifted out of vietnam with severe injuries; he spent the better part of the next year recuperating in a paris hospital before being flown back to the united states. dropped back in colorado with a limp in his left leg and absolutely no support to reintegrate into society, he was left to fight and claw his way into a semblance of a normal life. he couldn’t work on cars anymore; the loud noises of the tools gave him too much anxiety. so, instead, he took a job in various stores, unable to hold down anything for long and kicking himself in the ass every time he had to lean on his parents for help.
> when his parents died, first his father, when he was thirty-four, and his mother a few years after that, he inherited enough to buy a trailer in town. some stability and distance from his parents was healing. he managed to hold down jobs for longer now; he didn’t feel so alone anymore.
> he started working at key of reason when the mall opened up, grateful for the opportunity to work in the cushy new gig; they were paying him more, he liked the music, and he was much happier surrounded by the thrum of the mall than he ever was in silence.
extra information
felix was in this plot drop, and since then has struggled to get back to normal life. he is constantly on guard.
he’s a warm person, if a little closed off. he doesn’t mean to push people away, but it just sort of happens sometimes unless the other person is persistent in maintaining the friendship
he lives in a trailer in the park, which isn’t much, but it’s his. it’s a lot more than he could say for a long time.
he takes trips down to denver every couple of weeks to the VA hospital in hopes of getting some physical therapy for his leg, but the damage was extensive enough that there’s not much improvement to be had.
despite this, his favorite thing to do is hike up the mountain.
he has a little wiener dog named rudy who he likes better than any person

Also the “idk” in the Paul Rudd section is a movie called “Year One”! - Jack Black is in it, too, and Maric (the same person that made the Paul Rudd Year One gifs) made gifs of him in it as well!
Hi Sveja! Thank you so much for compiling this list! This really helps a lot! I think I have only half of these queued up because, as you said, tumblr’s void is just ridiculous! So thanks again for these links and for letting me know about the title of the show Paul Rudd is in!
We’ll definitely queue these up and add them all to our directory masterlist!
Thanks for all your hard work!

Ghostbusters: Afterlife (Spoiler Free Review)
For those of you who have been following my Tumblr page you are aware that I've been waiting since October to writeup a review of this movie. If you are visiting my blog for the first time or reading this either on DeviantArt or Facebook, let me give you a quick recap: I attended the Ghostbusters Afterlife panel last month at New York Comic Con and instead of seeing clips from the movie, the audience was treated to an advance screening of the movie in all of it's ectoplasmic glory. And for the past 3 or more weeks, I've been doing a pretty damn good job of keeping my mouth shut about the movie other than vague comments.
Well, the movie will be released in about 3 more days (or if you like early releases, Thursday night) so I think now is as good a time as any to just get my review out now before concentrating on writing a more meaty spoiler filled review/discussion later on (And you best believe I am gonna go over certain details!)
The movie takes place about 30 years after the events of the last movie in the timeline. Callie and her two kids, Trevor and Phoebe, move to Summerville after they are evicted from their apartment o take care of her late father's farmhouse. However when they get there, the family soon learns that the grandfather in question, Egon Spengler, was doing something on that farm and it may be related to the recent seismic activities that are increasing.
The movie is more than just the proverbial passing of the torch to a new generation; it serves also as a coming of age story for certain characters, most notably Phoebe, played by McKenna Grace. She nails the role perfectly as the granddaughter of the late Dr. Spengler, a teen trying to find some ways of fitting in and discovering just what kind of a man Egon was. She has also seemingly retained certain traits of her grandfather, not just in intelligence and lovable awkwardness but creativity and...well any more will be pushing the no spoiler rule here. And also giving a bang up performance is Paul Rudd as the teacher Mr. Grooberson. His comic timing and interactions with Callie (played by Carrie Coon) hit a lot of right notes and he pulls it off in such a way that made me think "hey they should give him a proton pack too", but his role as mentor and comic relief seems more fitting. The other cast members pull their weight as well; Logan Kim's Podcast is the type of friend that Phoebe needs to balance her out (and no doubt there will be comparisons to Podcast and Ray Stanz), a energetic kid who is deep into the supernatural well. If anything though, I wish a little more was done with Trevor and Lucky (Finn Wolfhard of "Stranger Things" fame and Celeste O'Connor) as it seemed their side story didn't get too much time to really blossom. They eventually get their turn to shine, but it won't be until Phoebe and Podcast go after their first ghost. And thats when al the insanity REALLY ramps up.
The story associated with any Ghostbusters media needs to have a balance of good comedy and supernatural excitement and te movie manages to find ways to pull it off quite well, especially in the opening act. There is a sense of foreboding and dread about what Egon was getting himself into the second we get to see the old farm he was in and all throughout the course of the film, I found myself asking just what was going on in that town and what happened in the 30 years between the films. A lot of these questions are actually answered fairly quickly and certain ones are addressed in the last half. I can tell you right now though, if you are hoping that any of the events of the video game are tied into this story, forget it. This movir REALLY killed that hope. While there are callbacks to the original film, it fortunately ties into the overall plot, si its not just mere fanservice out there. plus the practical effects for the ghosts in this film feel just APPROPRIATE. There is no overreliance on CGI here like some other films as of late and the proton blasting just meshes well.
FINAL THOUGHTS:
Ghostbusters Afterlife is the product of Jason Reitman's love for the original film and desire to continue the story. For the most part, he knocked it out of the park with this film and another generation can have the same feelings we older folks had when we saw the original movie back in the 80s (and if we are all lucky we can have a just as awesome animated series based on this one too.) McKenna Grace just about sells the movie and this tale breathes new life into the franchise. I think you will all enjoy this one a lot and hopefully the filmmakers can keep doing a bang up job on the next movie.
...yes, you really should stick around for the entire movie, especially the end credits.
Really.
DO NOT LEAVE THAT THEATER UNTIL YOU SEE THE FINAL SCENE. I'M TELLING YOU THIS BECAUSE THERE WAS ONE QUESTION I KEPT ON ASKING AND IT GOT ANSWERED IN THAT LAST SCENE. SO STAY IN THAT SEAT.

paul rudd, bisexual, male + he/him ― hey look, it’s felix carter! they’re forty-four years old, they’ve lived in shrike heights for his whole life, and they’re currently working at key of reason. i heard they’re pretty irresponsible, but i think they’re so adventurous at the same time. can they make it out alive?
tw under the cut: neglect, war, ptsd
> felix’s parents were both absent and present in all the worst ways. most days, felix was left to fend for himself from elementary school; he packed his own lunch, he let himself in after school to an empty house, and he made sure that no one was any the wiser. he pretty much raised himself, and as a result, instead of getting extremely responsible, he shirks responsibility at every corner, wanting nothing more than to regain the innocence he has always felt was robbed from him.
> he made his own money starting when he was a preteen, first as a paper boy in town and then later on getting a job bagging groceries and even later still as a mechanic’s apprentice for a short stint. unfortunately, when he was a teen, the vietnam war had started, and when he was old enough to be drafted, he was sent overseas without much of a choice. at first, he was fine with it; anything to get him away from his parents and this stupid little town.
> he was drafted at eighteen and stayed in the army for the next six years. he didn’t know how to do anything else or where he would go when he was done, so he kept signing up for more tours. for most of his time there, he didn’t see much more than light firefights; never anything terrible until his last year there (though, as he looks back on the experience, all of it was terrible.)
> one dark, steamy, rainy evening out there in the jungle, felix and his squad ended up pinned down and trapped, sinking into the sudden mudhole that had opened up in the rain as opposing forces surrounded them. of the twelve men who went out there that night, only three made it back—one of them being felix.
> he ended up airlifted out of vietnam with severe injuries; he spent the better part of the next year recuperating in a paris hospital before being flown back to the united states. dropped back in colorado with a limp in his left leg and absolutely no support to reintegrate into society, he was left to fight and claw his way into a semblance of a normal life. he couldn’t work on cars anymore; the loud noises of the tools gave him too much anxiety. so, instead, he took a job in various stores, unable to hold down anything for long and kicking himself in the ass every time he had to lean on his parents for help.
> when his parents died, first his father, when he was thirty-four, and his mother a few years after that, he inherited enough to buy a trailer in town. some stability and distance from his parents was healing. he managed to hold down jobs for longer now; he didn’t feel so alone anymore.
> he started working at key of reason when the mall opened up, grateful for the opportunity to work in the cushy new gig; they were paying him more, he liked the music, and he was much happier surrounded by the thrum of the mall than he ever was in silence.
