22: Taking Woodstock he got like no screen time but his long hair was cute
23: Fast food nation. Don’t get me started. I hated this, Paul Danos emo character was there for one scene and didn’t come back. Too much sex. I get what they were trying to say with it I just didn’t fw it.
BONUS: sensei rainbow and the dojo kids. Gets no screen time but he was still really really really awesome. We got to see baby Paul dano.
Those are the only ones I watched I don’t think I will watch any more Paul dano hyperfixation was in may I still love him with all my heart but disappointingly not as much 😒

Maybe you should make a poll about different versions of individual rogues once you're further into your batmedia liveblogs if only to check how many people voted Riddler cause of Paul Dano.
i wasnt thinking of polling but i was thinking of ranking different adaptations of the rogues in a tier list at some point

Year of the Bat - Number 30
Welcome to Year of the Bat! In honor of Kevin Conroy, Arleen Sorkin, and Richard Moll, I’m counting down my Top 31 Favorite Episodes of “Batman: The Animated Series” throughout this January. EPISODE QUOTE: “My, my. Can we actually have a brain beneath that pointy cowl of ours?” Number 30 is…If You’re So Smart, Why Aren’t You Rich?
This episode acts as the first appearance and origin story for Edward Nygma, a.k.a. the Riddler. The story begins with Nygma working as a programmer and video game designer for an electronics company, run by a greedy sod by the name of Daniel Mockridge. Nygma has created a best-selling puzzle-based video game, called “Riddle of the Minotaur,” where players have to traverse through the legendary labyrinth of the Minotaur, evading various traps and solving various puzzles along the way. Mockridge fires Nygma, who – due to a loophole in his contract – loses all rights to the game and any legal grounds to even receive royalties. Furious, Nygma adopts the guise of the villainous Riddler, and goes on a quest of vengeance against his old employer. The Riddler, for those who don’t know, has always been one of my absolute favorite Batman villains – second only to the Joker himself. (I should also add this was LONG before Paul Dano’s version; I liked the Riddler before it was cool, as the kids say.) I think that John Glover’s portrayal, from the animated series, might have been the very first version of the Riddler I ever saw. I remember renting a VHS tape from a Blockbuster as a little boy (yeah, anyone remember those things?) which had two of Riddler’s episodes on the tape. Both of those episodes, perhaps not coincidentally, are on this main countdown. You would think, with all that said, that this first outing for the criminal genius would be much higher in the ranks. Well, it’s hard to say why, because there’s certainly a lot to enjoy about this episode. Glover’s smug and smarmy Nygma is one of the chief versions of the character out there, and set the standard which many later incarnations – both in and out of comics – would look to for inspiration. The team behind the animated series took a character who had been perceived as “a two-bit gimmick villain” and transformed him into one of the Dark Knight’s cleverest and most cunning adversaries. The tricks and traps (and, of course, the riddles) that the Riddler uses in the story are also pretty ingenious. I also have to say that the ending of this episode is just phenomenal; one of my favorites in the entire show. I won’t give away what it is, but trust me, it’s great. I think the big issue is the Riddler’s origin itself. I like the idea of the Riddler being a programmer and game designer, and they use that to great effect in later stories, too. It’s also something that’s continued to be part of the character, with him being gifted with electronics and technology. However, I feel the turning point for the character doesn’t quite match: while it’s clear that Nygma always had a high opinion of his own mind, and loathed humiliation, it’s hard for me, personally, to make the jump from “disgruntled employee” to “highly theatrical supervillain,” at least in the way the episode presents. The animation is also sort of…iffy, to say the least. Most of the episode looks pretty good, but there are some scenes where the animation or the shots feel a bit “messy,” or a bit “stiff,” for lack of a better word. Still, these are minor nitpicks on the whole: for a first outing of my second favorite Batman villain, this certainly made a good impression. I probably wouldn’t like the Riddler as much as I do now if it weren’t for this episode.
Tomorrow we move on to Number 29! Hint: “The final stunt IS the best.”

Okay i know that we’ve still got a solid 3 weeks left in 2023 but ive been trying to rank my L’s of the year and anyways current standings:
3. Getting escorted by security out of an Ed Sheeran concert
2. Being reported to my former Domino’s franchise owner for co-leading a multi-location workplace clique
1. Writing 60k of a novel about a man named Simon only to realize that writing a book about a character named Simon in the present-tense requires you to use the phrase SIMON SAYS no less than ten million times. Qualifies as an L because i immediately had a breakdown to rival that scene in Little Miss Sunshine where Paul Dano realizes he’s colorblind, which resulted in me panic-deleting all of it and jumping right back into a 2-year-old abandoned WIP that is now as long as GoT and still refuses to end

mak’s 95th oscar picks
i have somehow managed to watch all 54 films nominated for an academy award this year (!!!), so here’s my #1 pick for each category and my runner up! this isn’t what i think the academy will choose, but what i think personally deserves it
(note: these don’t necessarily represent my favorite film in each category, for example my runner up in best picture is not what i enjoyed second most, but what i think is second most deserving of the oscar)
some categories will also have a “i will be actively angry if this wins” pick and also some major snubs (only of films i’ve seen though. for example, many agree danielle deadwyler was snubbed for Till but i have not seen it so that snub will not be listed)
to find my review out of 5 stars for all these films, and also a list of 2022 feature length films (non-documentaries) ranked in my personal favorite order, check out my letterboxd!
best picture:
winner: everything everywhere all at once
runner up: the banshees of inisherin
second runner up (bc this category is huge): all quiet on the western front
will be actively angry if it wins: tr*angle of sadness, t*r, avatar: the way of water
snubs: the woman king, NOPE
best director:
winner: steven spielberg, the fabelmans
runner up: the daniels, everything everywhere all at once
will be actively angry if they win: t*dd field, t*r; ruben ostl*nd, tr*angle of sadness
snubs: park chan-wook, decision to leave; jordan peele, NOPE; gina prince-bythewood, the woman king
best actor:
winner: colin farrell, the banshees of inisherin
runner up: austin butler, elvis
will be actively angry if he wins: br*ndan fr*ser, the wh*le (do NOT @ me for this if you haven’t actually seen the movie. i love him as a person and an actor too but that movie was a dehumanizing spectacle that shouldn’t have been nominated for anything, and his performance wasn’t great bc the script wasn’t anything that lent itself to a good performance)
best actress:
winner: michelle yeoh, everything everywhere all at once
runner up: cate blanchett, t*r (blocking this out bc i’m otherwise really negative about the movie)
will be actively angry if she wins: an* de arm*s, bl*nde
snub: viola davis, the woman king
extra note: whatever the FYC said, michelle williams was not a lead in fabelmans. her performance was fantastic, but she deserved a best supporting nom, bc the solo lead was gabriel labelle, but we don’t appreciate young actors enough to acknowledge that
best supporting actor:
winner: ke huy quan, everything everywhere all at once
runner up: barry keoghan, the banshees of inisherin (though a very close runner up race with brian tyree henry for causeway)
snub: paul dano, the fabelmans
best supporting actress:
winner: angela bassett, black panther: wakanda forever
runner up: stephanie hsu, everything everywhere all at once
will be actively angry if she wins: jam*e lee c*rtis, everything everywhere all at once (if she wins over both bassett and hsu i swear to GOD)
snubs: keke palmer, NOPE; lashana lynch, the woman king
best original screenplay:
winner: everything everywhere all at once
runner up: the banshees of inisherin
will be actively angry if it wins: tr*angle of sadness
best adapted screenplay:
winner: women talking
runner up: all quiet on the western front
best animated feature film:
winner: puss in boots: the last wish
runner up: marcel the shell with shoes on
best international feature film:
winner: argentina, 1985
runner up: all quiet on the western front
snub: decision to leave (dir. park chan-wook)
best documentary feature:
winner: all the beauty and the bloodshed
runner up: fire of love
will be actively angry if it wins: nav*lny (which will most likely actually win)
best documentary short subject:
winner: the elephant whisperers
runner up: haulout
will be actively angry if they win: stranger at the gate, how do you measure a year? (not bothering to block these out bc stranger is actively infuriating, and how do you measure barely anyone saw)
extra note: i didn’t super care for any of these, but i found the elephant whisperers cute and heartwarming, so it definitely gets my vote
best live action short film:
winner: the red suitcase
runner up: an irish goodbye
will be actively angry if it wins: night ride (please don’t watch this. the vast majority of the film is just a bunch of transphobia couched in a “happy” ending to make it apparently okay)
best animated short film:
winner: ice merchants
runner up: an ostrich told me the world was fake, and i think i believe it
will be actively angry if it wins: honestly anything in this category that isn’t ice merchants bc it deserves it that much, but particularly the flying sailor and the boy, the mole, the fox, and the horse
best original score:
winner: justin hurwitz, babylon
runner up: volker bertelmann, all quiet on the western front
snubs: michael giacchino, the batman; harold faltermeyer, hans zimmer, lady gaga, and lorne balfe, top gun: maverick
best original song:
winner: “naatu naatu,” RRR
runner up: “lift me up,” black panther: wakanda forever
will be actively angry if it wins: “applause,” tell it like a woman
snub: “i ain’t worried,” top gun: maverick
best sound:
winner: top gun: maverick
runner up: the batman
extra note: the academy needs to split this one back up into best sound mixing and best sound editing
best production design:
winner: elvis
runner up: all quiet on the western front
best cinematography:
winner: all quiet on the western front
runner up: bardo, false chronicle of a handful of truths
will be actively angry if it wins: t*r, emp*re of light (this category SUCKS this year)
snubs: decision to leave; NOPE; top gun: maverick; the batman (this category SUCKS this year!!!! the only one of the nominees that should be there is all quiet and these four should’ve gotten the other spots)
best makeup and hairstyling:
winner: all quiet on the western front
runner up: black panther: wakanda forever
will be actively angry if it wins: the wh*le
best costume design:
winner: black panther: wakanda forever
runner up: mrs. harris goes to paris
will be actively angry if it wins: babylon (those costumes are NOT period accurate!!!!)
best film editing:
winner: everything everywhere all at once
runner up: elvis
will be actively angry if it wins: t*r, the banshees of inisherin, top gun: maverick
extra notes: literally the other three don’t come anywhere near fucking close to the top two. i switched back and forth between my winner and runner up a decent amount tbh, they’re both fantastic editing wise)
best visual effects:
winner: avatar: the way of water
runner up: top gun: maverick
will be actively angry if it wins: anything but avatar. the movie sucked but it’s the obvious winner here. the special effects are insane

Oscar Picks 2023, Part III: The Big 8
Despite a runaway expected winner for Best Picture, this promises to be an exciting Oscar year for most of the big categories. There are several hot two-horse races and some that are anyone’s game.
But just like in national elections, happenings in one place could be the sign of things to come elsewhere. Look for the Supporting Actress category early in the Ceremony to give us a sense of how things will play out for the night. A win for Jaime Lee Curtis could mean a sweep of the table for EEAAO. If Bassett or Condon wins, it may mean a more tempered night.
Actor in a Leading Role
Nominees:
Austin Butler, Elvis
Colin Farrell, The Banshees of Inisherin
Brendan Fraser, The Whale
Paul Mescal, Aftersun
Bill Nighy, Living
This is supposed to be Brendan Fraser’s year. But polarizing reviews for The Whale may cost him his trophy. As much as this seems to be a two-man race, any of the other three performances are highly deserving, with all but Mescal winning some piece of major hardware. I still give the edge to Fraser, as he won the SAG award and actors make up the biggest chunk of the Academy.
Who will win: Brendan Fraser
But look out for: Austin Butler
Who I’d vote for: Colin Farrell
If I could add one more: Eden Dambrine (Close). There was no way the Academy was going to recognize a teenage lead in a foreign movie, but few performances by actors of any age are as deeply moving.
Actress in a Leading Role
Nominees:
Cate Blanchett, Tár
Ana de Armas, Blonde
Andrea Riseborough, To Leslie
Michelle Williams, The Fabelmans
Michelle Yeoh, Everything Everywhere All at Once
Equally exciting as the Best Actor contest, this one appears to be a two-woman race between Blanchett and Yeoh. Even with their impressive résumés, both give career-best performances and have split the awards this season. I presume they’ll be the top two on most ballots. But Blanchett already has two Oscars. I think Academy voters will want to finally reward Yeoh for her exceptional career.
Who will win: Michelle Yeoh
But look out for: Cate Blanchett
Who I’d vote for: Cate Blanchett
If I could add one more: Danielle Deadwyler (Till). Where my Black women at?! Kudos to Riseborough for a strong performance and even stronger campaigning, but it did preclude the Academy from recognizing Deadwyler’s performance and the film as a whole.
Actor in a Supporting Role
Nominees:
Brendan Gleeson, The Banshees of Inisherin
Brian Tyree Henry, Causeway
Judd Hirsch, The Fabelmans
Barry Keoghan, The Banshees of Inisherin
Ke Huy Quan, Everything Everywhere All at Once
This is one of the few sure bets of the evening. Ke Huy Quan has won almost every major award. But Keoghan’s recent victory at the BAFTAs and 3rd place ranking from the National Society of Film Critics may make an impact. Henry and Hirsch are long shots, but I wish Gleeson would have garnered more hardware for his excellent performance.
Who will win: Ke Huy Quan
But look out for: Barry Keoghan
Who I’d vote for: Brendan Gleeson
If I could add one more: Paul Dano (The Fabelmans). After so many exceptional performances in Oscar-nominated Best Pictures, what does Dano have to do to finally get a nod?
Actress in a Supporting Role
Nominees:
Angela Bassett, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever
Hong Chau, The Whale
Kerry Condon, The Banshees of Inisherin
Jamie Lee Curtis, Everything Everywhere All at Once
Stephanie Hsu, Everything Everywhere All at Once
Angela Bassett seemed a surefire choice early in awards season, but Jamie Lee Curtis has been on a tear recently. Momentum for EEAAO may just propel her to victory. And while I think Hsu’s performance was actually the more engaging and moving of the film, Academy voters are more likely to pick the veteran favorite. Chau has garnered great praise for her role in The Whale, but she’s the only real long shot here. Condon is coming off a BAFTA win and was the pick of the National Society of Film Critics.
Who will win: Jamie Lee Curtis
But look out for: Angela Bassett
Who I’d vote for: Kerry Condon
If I could add one more: Dolly De Leon (Triangle of Sadness). In her role as toilet manager turned captain, De Leon commands the screen and stimulates the moral and ethical questions the film seeks to ask of its audience.
Directing
Nominees:
Martin McDonagh, The Banshees of Inisherin
Daniel Kwan & Daniel Scheinert, Everything Everywhere All at Once
Steven Spielberg, The Fabelmans
Todd Field, Tár
Ruben Östlund, Triangle of Sadness
This award seems written in stone, which is sad considering the incredible depth in the category. Spielberg and Field both offer masterclasses in directing with their entries. McDonagh’s expertise as a playwright shows in his superlative storytelling. Östlund skillfully translates his political and social commentary to pictures. But the Daniels’ creativity, vision, and mastery at so many different styles makes them a shoe-in.
Who will win: Daniel Kwan & Daniel Scheinert
But look out for: Steven Spielberg
Who I’d vote for: Todd Field or Steven Spielberg
If I could add one more: Sarah Polley (Women Talking). Not merely for female representation, Polley deserves to be in this group because her film is one of the most unique, emotional, and engaging stories told on screen this year.
Original Screenplay
Nominees:
The Banshees of Inisherin
Everything Everywhere All at Once
The Fabelmans
Tár
Triangle of Sadness
This may just be my favorite category of the 2023 Oscars. The five nominees could not be more different from each other, and yet (almost) equally deserving of praise. Banshees took home the Golden Globe, BAFTA, and National Board of Review award. EEAAO won the Writers Guild, Critics’ Choice, and NY Film Critics awards. Tár was the pick of the National Society of Film Critics and LA Film Critics. I think the signs are pointing to EEAAO, though the Academy may offer this as a consolation prize to the excellent Banshees.
Who will win: Everything Everywhere All at Once
But look out for: The Banshees of Inisherin
Who I’d vote for: The Banshees of Inisherin
If I could add one more: Aftersun. Charlotte Wells’ intimate account of a father-daughter relationship manages to say so much without hitting you over the head with anything.
Adapted Screenplay
Nominees
All Quiet on the Western Front
Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery
Living
Top Gun: Maverick
Women Talking
Sarah Polley’s Women Talking is only up for two awards this year – Best Picture and Best Adapted Screenplay. While the performances and directing deserve praise, its script is its strongest asset. I think the Academy will choose to recognize it with this award. All Quiet on the Western Front may be a spoiler, though, having just won the BAFTA and being the pick of National Board of Review back in early January. With nine nominations, it could be up for a big night. I also wouldn’t rule out Living, which has got a lot of attention recently.
Who will win: Women Talking
But look out for: All Quiet on the Western Front
Who I’d vote for: Women Talking
If I could add one more: Aftersun. Charlotte Wells’ intimate account of a father-daughter relationship manages to say so much without hitting you over the head with anything.
Best Picture
Nominees:
All Quiet on the Western Front
Avatar: The Way of Water
The Banshees of Inisherin
Elvis
Everything Everywhere All at Once
The Fabelmans
Tár
Top Gun: Maverick
Triangle of Sadness
Women Talking
All signs point to EEAAO. It’s won the top prize at the awards for the Producers Guild, Directors Guild, Writers Guild, and Screen Actors Guild. But ranked choice voting in the Best Picture category can often create pathways you don’t suspect.
Top Gun: Maverick will be a popular choice among American Academy members. It’s likely to occupy that number 2 or 3 spot on a lot of ballots, which could matter if multiple rounds are needed to select a winner. The film was the top pick of the National Board of Review. But without a Best Director nod or any acting nods, the odds aren’t in its favor.
Banshees is also one that’s likely to do well on most ballots, even if it doesn’t occupy the top spot for most people. Sadly, its Best Comedy win at the Golden Globes hasn’t been followed up with any other top prizes.
All Quiet on the Western Front was the surprising BAFTA winner, but I think that has more to do with the subject matter and the importance of the First World War to British audiences. It’s a powerful film, but I think the Academy will reward it with International Feature.
Spielberg’s The Fabelmans had a great early push with a Golden Globe win for Best Drama, but support has fizzled as it’s made way for EEAAO in recent award shows.
Tár has been the favorite of most critics, it seems, topping the list for the National Society of Film Critics, NY Critics, and LA Critics (tied with EEAAO).
With 8 nominations, Elvis may have an outside chance, especially if Butler ends up winning Best Actor.
The other films in this category are all long shots for whom the nomination is the prize.
Who will win: Everything Everywhere All at Once
But look out for: Top Gun: Maverick
Who I’d vote for: Tár
If I could add one more: Close. Belgium’s entry for Best International Feature deserved much more recognition at the Oscars, including a Best Actor and Best Picture nomination.
---
That's it for this year's Oscar picks! Thanks for joining me. Enjoy the show!

THE BATMAN MOVIE TIER LIST PART 2
2006- Batman Begins: Gosh this movie is so good if I'm not being biased this is objectively the best movie in the dark knight trilogy. One thing I will say is I wish Scarecrow had more scenes in the movie but I absolutely love the one scene where he does spray Falcone but I wish I could've seen more. This was peak Christian Bale looks wise and I realized this last night when I was watching the movie. The Ra's Al Ghul plot twist was actually surprising the first time I watched this movie. Alfred was peak overall just amazing. VICTOR ZSASZ MENTION!?! Side note we need more live action Victor Zsasz. I would have to say this movie is S tier.
2008- The Dark Knight: HEATH LEDGER WAS EMACULATE. I do agree that he's just a film bros wet dream for the joker BUT I still love it. This move produced multiple iconic memes just overall so freaking good. If you want my biased opinion this is they best movie in the dark knight trilogy. I can quote most of the Jokers lines by heart and I once watched this movie 3 times in one day. The two downfalls of this movie are Rachel and Two-face. (Refer to meme in pt1) Harvy himself is fine but Two-Face just ain't it chief yknow. And I know Rachel's thing is that she's not like scared of criminals and not scared to stand up for what's right but something that really gives me the ick is when in the penthouse scene during jokers schpeel she just stands and and says "alright, that's enough." Or something like that. Idk it's just like did you really think that was going to stop this insane man?? This movie is A tier as well.
2012- The Dark Knight Rises: If mid was a movie it would be this one. While I absolutely love Bane in this movie I can't stand Catwoman (which is really weird for me cause I usually love her, and I've tried loving her but I just can't.) It's not like a horrible movie it's just not fantabulous. C tier.
2016- Batman Versus Superman: I saw it when I came out in theaters then never watched it again. It was okay??? Idk not much input, I was more interested in the origins of the other members of the Justice League tbh. C tier.
2016- The Killing Joke: Did not like the first 30 minutes. This was the first time I'd ever seen an animated movie based on a comic and don't know what I was expecting but it wasn't to see batman and Barbara Gordon make out w/ implied sex on a rooftop. The first 30mins aren't in the original comic at all. Last half of the movie sticks to the source material almost entirely and it was executed greatly. A tier.
2018- The Lego Batman Movie: OH GOSH this movie is really good. I can watch it with kids when I babysit and we can both enjoy it. Witty remarks, Robin is absolutely adorable, REFRENCES BATMAN (1989) MULTIPLE TIMES!!! Joker isn't a complete dick to Harley. PEAK JOKER DESIGN!! No bad remarks. S teir.
2021- The Long Halloween Pt1 and Pt2: Loved these movies. Wished they made Sofia Falcone look more like Carmine like they did in the comic but her character was still great. I also wish they would've kept the catwoman suit the same as in the comic. Was very easy to sit through almost 3 hrs of movies. Harvy Dent was portrayed amazingly. Once again nothing bad to say about these movies. A tier.
2022- The Batman: I LOVE LOVE LOVE INCEL RIDDLER AMD BATMAN!! I love paul dano in general but God he was so good even though he only had like 15min of screentime throughout the 3hr movie. Zoë Kravitz fucking killed it as Catwoman. Can't forget #daddyoz literally amazing. "what's black and blue and dead all, over? yyyoOOUUU." Bussin soundtrack, got me back into Nirvana tbh. I love the casting for Carmine, wait no I take that back. I love the casting for the whole movie, it was absolutely spectacular 👌. S tier
Anyway that's all guys, if you want to hear my rankings for other movies just ask and I can put them all into a big post. I can put this into picture format if yall want to see it but I'm too lazy to do it rn.

Top 5 Paul Dano performances?
I haven’t seen enough movies of his to rank this way tbh (only 6 or 7 and some of them I don’t remember) sorry!

Batman Villain Movie Ideas, Part XI: The Riddler
I may have to have words with two-weeks-ago me for ordering this list, because I'm getting a bunch of villains who have gotten their live action dues up here in the early section. Although, Edward Nygma AKA The Riddler's two major film adaptations, played by Jim Carrey and Paul Dano respectively, both veered more into the "unstable manchild" territory, and we have yet to see a solid adaptation of the well-dressed genius like John Glover's version. Either way, we know the drill, the Riddler likes to lay out complex riddles and puzzles for his foes to solve, driven by a desire to prove himself the smartest person in the room, who finds a favorite target in Batman.
Origin Movie: Honestly, The Batman's Paul Dano version is more or less the best way to do him in a starter movie, have him be more of a mysterious figure pulling strings in the shadows, that Batman has to do legitimate detective work to try and figure out. If I were doing a Young Batman series, like that Young Superman series I laid out, he might be a solid pick there.
Sequel Movie: The Riddler works very well as a sequel villain, using the origin movie to establish Batman fighting some other villain, and then start the sequel showing the Riddler watching Batman in action, and showing him delving into obsession with him, coming to consider Batman his ultimate rival.
Finale Movie: Riddler is very much a solid villain to end with, as he'd be the type to leave clues littered throughout the entire series, heavily hinting that someone is pulling the strings behind the scenes. Wow, a villain who works well in all three. Those are rare. (Also, the Hush plot comes to mind as a finale featuring him).
Supporting Villain: There is the Hush plot, but he also works well as a consultant for a number of villains, someone hired to set up a complex trap for Batman so the main villain can take their time with him. Also, the Penguin should totally hire him to set up his lounge's security system.
Overall, here are my rankings of them:
Sequel Movie: Gives you a good grounding for building his obsession with Batman.
Finale Movie: I would actually like to see a series where clues were dropped subtly throughout, building up to the Riddler at the end. It would be like a puzzle for the audience.
Origin Movie: Very solid, and gives Batman some actual detective work to do, but The Batman already did it.
Supporting Villain: It's also great, but kind of undersells the Riddler in the process.
What do you think? Who should I cover next?

Thank you for the tag Finnie!! Sorry for bein slow as hell doin my own XP
FOUR CHARAS WHO MAKE ME YELL "MY MAN MY MAN MY MAN"- this shoulda been easier than it was to choose, but im happy with who i eventually picked. These arent in aparticular order because i couldnt NOT rank my best boys against each other.
Paul Dano's riddler from Batman (2022)
I went,, FuLL FANGIRL FOR THIS MFER. This has been more than a year long obsession and im still so in love with this portrayal of the riddler (tho i like other riddlers too this is probs my fave)
Howl Pendragon from Howls moving castle
The ghibli movie did this dramatic soggy wet dog of a man SO many favours. But both the book and the movie are fantastic, i live for how silly and dramatic he is.
Adam/ Ainosuke Shindo from Sk8 the infinity
I KNOW hes a controversial pic, especially in the sk8 fandom, but he ticks all my boxes for a fave chara. Villanous, dramatic, queer-coded, religious trauma/themes, design has primary colours. HE /IS/ the full package for me, i will never stop loving this 'evil' skateboarder.
Last but not least Nico Vorgeil
The newest addition to my fave chara roster but OH MY LORD. If he didnt take over my brain so fuckin easily. He's such a good mix of jaded and cynical, while also having his lighter moments when he gets excited over technology. 10/10 would marry him AND his wife.
Im gonna tag @tadpolebobatea @your-zipper-is-down to do this next!
Four characters who make you yell "MY MAN MY MAN MY MAN"
Tagged by my sweet beloved @letshaveadepressionparty 💚
everyone hold onto your hats because i'm about to list some men you ALREADY KNOW i love lmao (also gus gus you were right fuck doing 4 i'm doing 6 too because rogues are a separate category >:c)
i feel like this could have been men i also wanted to hold gently or characters i just really loved but i went with... hedonistic fuckin as usual
hancock (fallout 4)
sweet baby you’re just so romantic and silly and i would happily turn myself into a ghoul so i could spend eternity with you
arthur morgan (red dead redemption 2)
put me out of my misery and trample me with your horse you sad sad hunk of fuckin prime beef absolute husband material
nick (left 4 dead 2)
i have an affinity for sarcastic men who will get so annoyed at me within seconds that they could potentially murder me and i think nick is the strongest candidate for that category
daddy oz (the batman)
my toxic trait is that i think he would be gentle and love me more than any of the wildly more attractive women he is surrounded by each day but it's my life so whatever
digger (ss:ktjl)
turns out the fuckin hat trick to get into my pussy involves piss, being australian, and having dreadful facial hair like i have never so quickly fallen in love with someone who would give me VD before
eddie
urgh, you wretched disgusting little bitch i will never be cured of you, you have ruined my life, you are the cause of my suffering, the reason for my autism, and i will love you until i turn to fuckin dust
i'm gonna tag some more beloveds here:
@rainfallinthevoid @wammysgirl @it-is-i-zim @rallazarthemagnificent @littlemisscactus
