What friends are for...

Declan O'Hara x Reader (Female) [Rivals TV]

Warnings: SPOILERS for Rivals S1, Mild Infidelity, Recreational Drinking, Swearing

Genre: Best friend's dad (Reader is 21 years old), Romance, Fluff

Summary: Y/N is typically good under pressure. But with alcohol lowering her inhibitions, allowing a brewing crush to swim up to the surface, she panics a little when she needs to pull through for her friend Taggie

"Alright, doll. I've had enough watching you run around this kitchen like Cinderella. Go on and mingle with the bourgeoisie." Y/N sighs, swiftly stealing the plates Taggie was carrying with one arm while her free hand cradles a glass of whiskey.

She carries the plates over to the sink, letting Taggie's complaints play in the background as background noise as she finishes off her fourth drink of the night and sets the glass down in the sink.

"Do you see this mess?! I can't possibly let loose knowing all this work is waiting for me at the end of the party." Taggie grumbles, folding her arms over her chest, "Besides, I don't even like most of those people."

Y/N can't help but gasp dramatically at that proclamation. In all the years she's known Taggie, she's never once managed to pry out a bad criticism from her in regards to anyone. She'd have to pat spy-like attention to her best friend's facial expressions in order to gauge all those feelings she knows she'd never say out loud.

Y/N had originally formed a friendship with Patrick who was in her grade at school. However, she formed an even stronger bond with his year younger sister. It's a girls' thing, she'd tell Patrick, we're all wired to be closer to one another than we'll ever be to a man.

And her statement still rings true nearly a decade later. It's Patrick's birthday and yet Y/N is finding far greater entertainment in the kitchen with Taggie rather than mingling with the crowd of London high society. She gets more than enough interaction with them during her daily internship at the Corinium, she doesn't need her New Year's Eve poisoned by them as well.

That being said, she shares Taggie's sentiment to the full extent. But she's not about to let up on her convincing, not with Rupert Campbell-Black in attendance.

"You don't have to like them all, Tag. One sometimes makes all the difference. And that certain one of yours is in the building, no doubt looking for you amongst the crowd. Yet you're cooped up here, dodging him as if he matters to you as much as those grease-pole climbers and cheaters." Y/N playfully scolds her.

"Don't speak ill of the cheaters, they are his prime area of expertise." Taggie chuckles into the back of her hand as if shocked by the words coming out of her own mouth.

Y/N snorts, throwing a smirk her friend's way over her shoulder, "I don't remember ever saying any names and yet you knew exactly who I was implying. Hmm...." The older girl teases, only to have a dish rag tossed at her head by a blushing Taggie.

"You're in-insufferable, you know that?!" She says, glaring daggers at her best friend.

Y/N laughs heartily, stepping away from the sink. She reaches one hand behind herself, starting to unfasten the corset she has on to keep her emerald dress snug and tight while using her free hand to pinch Taggie's cheek, "And you're absolutely adorable when you're flustered, love." She uses that same hand to yank Taggie's shirt free from her jeans, "Get that off, hun. Don't worry, I'm not looking." She adds the last part with a laugh and a roll of her eyes as she continues battling with the lace fastenings of her corset.

If it were anyone else asking - or rather instructing - her to do this, Taggie would've probably protested and refused. However, if there's one thing she's learned over the nearly decade long friendship with Y/N is that, although her ideas sound like trouble, they're always a recipe for a good time. Tag wouldn't exactly say she's had an exciting life but those pockets of adventure and excitement and thrill that she can recall she owes to Y/N. And so, she complies, lifting her shirt over her head just as her friend frees herself from her corset, causing her dress to hang more loosely around her body but still catching on her curves at certain areas.

"Good, turn around for me." Y/N instructs yet again as she unclips Taggie's bra before quickly putting the corset on her, glad they didn't flash anyone in the split second the action took. Once she's finished lacing it up, Y/N's hands lazily rest on her best friend's shoulders, turning her around to see if her vision looks just as good in reality as it did in her mind. "Dashing, my darling. Take a deep breath for me, hm?"

Tag again complies without complaints, expanding her chest with a deep inhale to see if the corset needs any loosening but it is perfectly snug, still allowing her to breathe freely though. "You really think so?" The younger girl asks, a hopeful twinkle in her eyes.

"I swear on all that's dear to me, love." Y/N says, giving Tag's shoulders a reassuring squeeze. "One more thing...", she mumbles, leaning in to press a kiss to each of Taggie's cheeks, leaving behind lipstick stains on her skin which she later smears to give her a natural looking blush. "Voila! Now go knock Campbell-Black off his high horse and into your bed, doll."

Using the grip she has on the girl's shoulders, Y/N practically ushers her out of the kitchen and into the sea of partygoers before retreating into the quiet solitude herself.

She enters her fairy godmother mindset as she prances around the kitchen, cleaning up the mess around the kitchen, letting the rhythm of the music carry her movements. She periodically refills a new whiskey glass she got from the cupboard. She had really intended for it to be her last drink when she set her previous glass in the sink earlier but she gave up when she saw Mr. O'Hara's whiskey collection. With all these people around, she's certain she'll get away with sneaking a couple glasses of one of the more expensive looking bottles.

"Ah, I see the kitchen mouse has gotten into the good stuff."

Y/N damn near chokes on the amber liquid she just downed when she hears the voice of none other than Declan O'Hara.

She turns around slowly like a scene from a horror movie, or rather a kid getting caught red-handed stealing from the cookie jar. Only worse, more embarrassing considering this isn't her house. Although if she were to say that out loud all three O'Hara siblings and their father would be quick to tell her off.

An array of apologies circles around her head, none sufficient enough to mend the situation - especially not when Declan is smirking at her like that from the kitchen doorway, hands in his pockets. So, instead she settles for the truth: "I was hoping you wouldn't catch me."

Declan only chuckles in response, the sound rich and sweetened by the numerous drinks he's had throughout the night. He's nowhere near drunk but he's had enough to drink to accentuate his natural charm and charisma, softening his otherwise sharp edges.

Edges nearly everyone at Corinium has been cut on since he started working there. And when I say 'nearly' I mean very few have managed to avoid Declan O'Hara's spitfire - Y/N being one of the lucky few despite typically being bad at following orders due to her stubbornness. She isn't sure what exactly it is about her best friend's father that tames that snippy, downright bratty side of her. All she knows is that when he looks at her with those warm, kind eyes and asks rather than tells her to do something, adding a little 'darling' or 'love' at the end, she folds like a house of cards in the wind.

Declan strolls in with an easiness in his step, his eyes never leaving her. As he nears her vicinity, he holds out his own glass, "Care to treat me to my own whiskey, sweetheart?"

Well would you look at that - there she goes folding again. Or more so melting into a puddle at his feet on the tiled kitchen floor.

Words have dispersed into unconnected letters in her head and all she can manage to do is nod as she picks up the whiskey bottle with a trembling hand, pouring a good amount into his glass.

"Thanks, love." He gives her a lopsided smile, lifting his glass, "To the new year."

Y/N is suddenly reminded that she is still in one piece physically - not a pathetic puddle of herself - and in turn she needs to function like a normal human being and avoid embarrassment that will keep her up at night for the upcoming century.

She schools her expression in a faux easy smile as she clinks her glass against his, "To the new year." she repeats before they both take a sip of the lovely whiskey Y/N had helped herself to.

After taking a moment of silence to revel in the pleasure of the amber liquid burning its way down his throat, Declan's eyes focus on her, giving her a head-to-toe scan before speaking, "Where'd your corset go?"

Her heart skips a beat at both the way his gaze is running over the length of her body and the question that insinuates he'd noticed her outfit to begin with. His eyes on her feel like a palpable heat, almost like the feather like touch of a hand. "I-I, um, I lent it to Taggie for a bit. I wanted to doll her up a little and force to enjoy herself. Let loose a little."

Declan nods, a small hum leaving his throat, "Well you've done a good deed, my dear. And a great job taming the kitchen into something presentable. You're a great friend, dear. I'd say you've earned your stolen whiskey." He adds the last part with a quick wink that turns her brain to pudding.

Y/N smiles in response although she wants to absolutely kick herself for involuntarily making bedroom eyes at said friend's dad. She cannot seem to morph her expression into anything other than an openly 'well I'll be damned...' look. So she opts to look away from him instead.

"Oh please, sir, it's nothing. That's what friends are for..." She instinctively takes a sip of her drink to cool down only to be rudely reminded it's whiskey and it has the complete opposite effect to the one she was hoping for.

Speaking of a friend's duties...

Just over Declan's shoulder, Y/N catches glimpse of Rupert and Taggie in the comfortable embrace of one another on the dance floor. Although, judging by the proximity of their faces, dancing isn't their priority at the moment. A split second and a millimeter is all it would take for Y/N to rejoice that her agenda had been successful.

But that's also precisely what it would take for Declan to catch sight of it and lose his everloving shit which would undeniably cause a rift in the mission.

Just to the girls' luck, the moment Rupert's lips touch Taggie's is the exact moment Declan starts turning around - or at least that's how Y/N perceives it.

And Y/N would be damned if she let him.

Before she can think better of it, the alcohol in her system takes a seat behind the wheel and all rational thinking is tossed out the window. At least that's the only way she can explain her following actions.

There isn't a single sober thought behind it when her hands firmly rest on Declan's shoulders, instantly grabbing his attention and prompting him to turn to face her once more. And in that split second, Y/N pushes up on her tippie toes, her lips colliding with his in a kiss that momentarily stuns them both.

The last bit of sobriety fights to regain control of her mind mere seconds after their lips come in contact. It's not much but it's enough to scream at her to pull the fuck away and then run the fuck away. And she would've done just that had Declan's hands not come up to wrap around her waist and pull her closer, his head tilting to the side to deepen the kiss which she instinctively - and eagerly - allows.

All thoughts - both sober and drunk - fall silent in her head. The party in its entirety falls silent around her. All she can hear is her own heartbeat in her ears, mingled with his slightly labored breathing as the kiss reaches new heights in passion and heat with each passing second until they both run out of breath - the lack of oxygen being the only thing to force them apart, not at all the notion of how wrong what they're doing is.

Again, apologies stack themselves sky-high in her brain but none reach her whiskey coated tongue. Instead, she looks up at him wide-eyed and breathless, her now lipstick-void lips parted as she blurts out the first thought that manages to slip past the fog of shock.

"Taggie's gonna kill me"

Declan's own stunned expression gives way to a wide smile as he chuckles breathlessly at her panicked statement, "What she doesn't know won't hurt her, darling."

Even in the midst of her panic and moral crisis, Y/N can't help the flutter in her heart at the petname. "You....you won't tell her, will you?"

Declan clicks his tongue, shaking his head as one of his hands comes up to cup her cheek, "Of course not, my dear. I can keep a secret. That's what friends are for, after all."

Y/N is just about to throw all hesitance to the wind and lean into him fully, reconnect their lips and give herself over to him entirely when - for better or for worse - the clicking of heels approaches the kitchen entrance, sending them on opposite sides of the room like same charges of a magnet. The poor flustered girl is left frazzled, standing on weak knees without Declan's arms to hold her up. Luckily, however, she finds herself on the side of the kitchen where the door to the backyard offers her solitude and salvation within arm's reach. And she takes it a mere second before Maud strolls into the kitchen to show her husband a fraction of the affection she's been showering the other partygoers with all night.

Regardless of the state of Declan and Maud's marriage and their relationship as a whole, what they just did is wrong from all angles and aspects. It's a betrayal to Maude, to Taggie, to Caitlin and Patrick, to Y/N's parents who Declan has known and been friends with for years.

And as such they deserve to be drowning in guilt and remorse for their actions.

One problem: they're not. Not in the slightest. Especially not Declan who cannot seem to tear his gaze away from the backdoor Y/N disappeared through even as his wife finally graces him with her attention and presence.

Attention, presence and affection Y/N would love to give to him and only him. No division or sharing, no inhibitions or reservations.

No wrong or right.

a/n: Hey lovies, Although Miguel didn't really embrace his Irish side in the movie he's still Irish, I also think it would be so silly for the reader to just randomly see him speaking it and being so gagged, anyway hope you enjoy...

Your eyes fluttered open slowly adjusting to the darkness of your room. You could smell Migurl's presence because you had one of his t-shirts on, but you could feel that he wasn't lying there with you. You rubbed your eyes and slowly got out of bed.

He could just be in the bathroom, but you had attachment issues when it came to sleeping together. You heard low conversation coming from the living room. The other end of the conversation sounded like it was happening over the phone.

As you got closer you could make the voices a lot better, Miguel was talking to an older lady over the phone. The gag of it was that they were speaking gibberish. Or maybe not gibberish but a different language. It was not Spanish, Miguel spoke it all the time. He was using a different accent here. You finally walked into the living room leaning against the wall behind the couch Miguel was sitting at. "Is breá liom tú Mamó, bíodh lá maith agat,"[I love you, grandma, have a good day] he said before hanging up.

"Why aren't you in bed Hermosa? were you waiting for me?" he asked before getting up and walking towards you.

"Yes, but that's not important, what language were you speaking just now?" you questioned.

"I was speaking Irish, I was speaking with my Mamó[grandma]," he said as he took your hand and walked back to the bedroom with you.

"So, you’re Irish?!" you asked.

"Yes?" he responded as though you already knew.

"I didn't know that, I thought you were just Mexican," you gasped as you trailed behind him into your shared bedroom.

"Well I'm not," he answered amused by how surprised you were.

"How come you never told me?" you asked.

"Babe I literally have an apron that says 'Kiss me, I'm Irish on it," he said, pulling your cheeks playfully.

"I thought it was just a little jokey joke," you admitted. Miguel pinches the bridge of his nose.

"You're such an airhead sometimes, ach sin an rud is breá liom fút[but that's what I love about you]," he said, urging you to get into bed with him.

"What does that mean?" you ask skeptically.

"It means, you're so annoying, now let's go to bed," he groaned as you got under the sheets with him. You playfully hit his chest and snuggled up against him. He slowly ran his fingers through your hair and kissed your forehead as you snuggled into his chest. After moments of silence, Miguel assumed you had fallen asleep, you suddenly looked up at him, "Is that why we always go all out for St. Patrick's Day?" you asked, causing him to crack up.

"Go to sleep baby," he exclaimed through laughter.

The next morning Miguel had a lot of explaining to do...

Miguel O'Hara x Felicia Hardy!Reader

Summary: Felicia and Miguel figure out what the kiss last night means.

Nueva York, Earth-838

Despite the exhaustion that had settled into her bones after the recent escapades, Felicia found herself unable to sleep a wink. The memory of the kiss replayed in her mind repeatedly, each iteration focused on a different detail. She remembered the passion, his moans, how wet she was, and how his desire for her made him lose control of his fangs, feeling them against her skin. As the dark sky began to lighten, Felicia gave up on the notion of sleep.

Careful not to wake the sleeping giant next door, she quietly crawled out of bed. She opened the closet, stocked with clothing by LYLA while her suit was in the shop. A smile played on her lips as she considered the outfits, each one meticulously put together. After a few minutes of contemplation, she settled on the pleated black skirt, a form-fitting black top, and a sleek black coat, paired with some Doc Martens. Standing before the ornate mirror in the penthouse, she scrutinized her reflection, her gaze briefly capturing the telltale bags under her eyes. The signs of fatigue from their recent adventures were etched beneath them, a reminder of their chaotic lives. With a swift, practiced motion, she gathered her hair and styled it up. The updo added a touch of refinement to her appearance, drawing attention away from her weariness.

Satisfied with her quick transformation, she took one last look in the mirror before leaving the penthouse for the cafeteria. Emerging from the elevator, she noticed the sky had brightened a bit, yet the typically bustling halls were still quiet. Felicia ordered her usual latte from the baristas, hoping it would help conceal the obvious exhaustion etched across her face. With her drink in hand, she made her way to the balcony that overlooked the Nueva York sunrise. Kicking her boots onto the table, she leaned back in her chair, savoring the fresh autumn morning breeze.

A voice suddenly interrupted her thoughts. "This seat taken?"

Felicia turned her head to find Web-Slinger's bandana-clad face looking directly at her. "Oh!" she exclaimed, sitting up and taking her feet off the table. "No, please, join me," she said with a warm smile.

"What you doin' up so early, pretty lady?" Web-Slinger inquired, pulling a seat closer and taking a relaxed seat next to her.

Felicia shrugged. "Couldn't sleep. What about you?"

"Widow's high maintenance. Gotta feed 'em their breakfast," he replied as he settled in. "Where's your mask? Aren't you worried the big boss is gonna lose his shit?"

Felicia grinned to herself as she thought about her night with Miguel. "Nah," she said with a confident smirk. "I think he'd let it slide."

Web-Slinger lowered his bandana, his eyes locked onto Felicia's. "If that's the case, this may be one of the only opportunities I'll have to look into those sparkling eyes of yours." Felicia felt a rush of warmth creep up her cheeks at the compliment.

He then shifted his tone, his expression serious. "I'm sorry I've been avoiding you," Web-Slinger confessed. "The spider-society means a great deal to me, and I was worried that since Miguel isn't your biggest fan..."

Boy, is he wrong. Felicia grinned to herself.

“-And what we got caught in a pretty compromising position, he was gonna kick me out. You’re an incredible woman, I shouldn’t have cut you off like that. I’m sorry, darlin’.”

Felicia places her hand over Patrick’s, offering him an understanding smile. “I understand. It’s alright.”

“The world doesn’t deserve you,” Patrick hums as he picks Felicia’s hand up to kiss the back of it. “You know, darlin’, I’d love to finish what we started.” He humed. “Haven’t been able to stop thinkin’ about you.” He presses a kiss to Felicia’s hand again. “Your lips.” Kiss. “Your breasts.” Kiss “That wet-”

“Mask,” Miguel growls, standing behind the two, causing them to jump.

Web-Slinger immediately, drops Felicia’s hand, grabbing the bandana around his neck and lifting it to cover his lust-filled eyes. “Apologies, sir.” He nods, unable to make eye contact.

“Felicia,” Miguel says. “Masks are to be worn at all times in communal spaces.”

“You know where my mask is, Miguel.” Felicia fires back.

Web-Slinger pushes his chair back to stand. “Uh maybe I should take my lea-“

“Sit down,” Felicia growls, still holding eye contact with Miguel. “Miguel was just about to go file a report from last night’s mission, weren’t you boss.”

Miguel takes a deep breath in through his nose, his eyes still dark, staring down Webslinger with a hidden rage. “Right. Enjoy your morning Night Spider,” he says through gritted teeth. “Just make sure to check in with LYLA about any missions today.” He leaves them, walking away with tightly clenched fists and brooding shoulders.

“Everything okay between you two?” Web-Slinger asks, watching Miguel storm off.

Felicia frowns. “Eh,” is all she could come up with. She knew he was jealous but she wasn’t his. If Miguel wanted her, he needed to talk to her like an adult and do something about it instead of throwing fits like a toddler.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Miguel was sick of the turbulent emotions that surged within him every time he witnessed Felicia flirting with other Spider-People. After the passionate night they'd shared, he'd come to a profound realization – he needed her, more than he had ever admitted to himself. So, waking up in the morning with the intention of sharing this revelation with her, only to find an empty bed and Web-Slinger attempting to charm Felicia, once again, sent a maelstrom of feelings crashing through Miguel.

His heart ached with jealousy, confusion, and a sense of longing he could barely decipher. As he watched the interaction unfold, it was as if a storm was brewing within him, threatening to consume his composure.

"Spider-Byte!" Miguel's voice boomed, cutting through the lab.

Margo Kess, who had been diligently working on her gadgets, jumped at the sudden interruption. Her wide eyes met Miguel's intense gaze.

"Ah! Yes, Sir?" she stammered, trying to regain her composure.

Miguel's expression was a mix of determination and frustration. "I have a mission," he declared, his voice edged with urgency. "I need you to join me."

Margo hastily began putting away her tools, her curiosity piqued. "Of course, sir! When do we leave?"

Miguel's reply was swift and resolute. "Now," he said, his voice carrying a sense of finality. His mask materialized over his face, and in front of him, a swirling portal opened, ready to whisk them away into the unknown. The mission was a welcome distraction, an opportunity to escape the tumultuous emotions that had gripped him, at least for a while.

New York, Earth-1048

Spider-Byte and Miguel find themselves standing at the entrance of an abandoned warehouse. It really wasn't the best idea to be going on a mission right now with all of the pent-up emotions he had, but it was the only way he knew how to release them. Taking a deep breath, he tries to regain control over his racing mind.

Miguel and Spider-Byte crawl to the roof, to spy through the skylight, “I see about 25 men. I’ll take ‘em while you extract the data from their computers.” Miguel points to the locked door in the back of the warehouse. “Make sure you destroy their tech before we leave, got it?”

“Yes, Sir.”

With determination in his eyes, Miguel leaps into action. Not caring about the element of surprise, he breaks the glass, jumping down onto the guard below to break his fall. With incredible speed and agility, Miguel makes his way through the series of men. His spider-sense tingling, he effortlessly dodges incoming attacks and bullets from the group of armed thugs. His frustration builds with each punch and kicks he delivers, sending men flying through walls.

As Spider-Byte navigates their computer she can't help but feel a sense of worry as her boss ruthlessly beats the men in the other room. Trying to ignore the way the building rumbles with each body thrown through the concrete walls, she works as fast as possible, wanting the mission to be over.

Anger boils over Miguel. He unleashes his fangs and his eyes glow with an intense red hue. The sight is both awe-inspiring and terrifying. With a ferocity unlike anything before, Miguel tears through the thugs, shredding limbs and sending them flying through the air. The force of his blows is almost too much to comprehend. He fights with raw brutality, fueled by his pent-up frustration.

As the dust settles, Spider-Byte emerges from the room and cautiously approaches Miguel, concern etched on their face. “Woah…” She says, eyes wandering around the bloody room. “Are- are you okay?”

Miguel's fangs retract, and he takes a moment to compose himself before turning to face his partner. “Fine. Just needed to let off some steam.” He quickly clicks on his watch, opening another portal. But his eyes still burned hot red at the idea of possibly walking into Web-Slinger and Felicia again.

New York, Earth-838

“Tada!” LYLA cheered as she showed Felicia her upgraded outfit in the lab. “I added a few surprises to your claws.” She said with a wink.

“Wow.” Felicia inspects the softer, sturdier material of her black and white suit. “I love it!”

LYLA flickers around Felicia with excitement. “I’m glad. Miguel had me add a ton of surprises to help keep you safe. Your new goggles should be indestructible now.”

Felicia takes the black framed goggles with white lenses on, inspecting herself in the mirror. “How do I look?”

“Hot!” LYLA replies.

Felicia giggles as she makes facial expressions, watching the goggles respond with the same expressive emotions.

"Hey," Margo's voice, tinged with anxiety, interrupted the conversation between LYLA and Felicia, causing them both to turn and look at her. Her demeanor was far from composed as she walked to her station, plugging a hard drive into the computer.

"Hey, Margo-" Felicia greeted her with a concerned tone as she observed the shaken cyberwoman. "Woah, are you okay?"

Margo hesitated, a storm of emotions lurking beneath her features. "You should be asking the boss man that."

Felicia's brows furrowed with curiosity and worry. "What happened?" She removed her new goggles, placed them with the rest of her suit, and approached the computer where Margo stood.

Margo shrugged, her voice trembling. "He took me on a mission and went insane."

Felicia's eyes widened, struggling to make sense of it. "How so?" she asked, urging Margo to share the details.

Margo continued her voice a mix of disbelief and dread. "He was acting super weird when we started, and then throughout the whole mission, he was just... ruthless. The walls were drenched in blood, his fangs were out, and limbs were everywhere." The memory of the nightmarish scene was vivid in her mind.

LYLA intervened. "Take the day off... Maybe the week... Don't worry about coming back anytime soon. I'll take over here.” She gestured to the hard drive. “If you want, you can see the therapist, Ezekiel Sims."

Margo nodded, grateful for the support. "Yeah... Thanks, LYLA. See you later, Felicia," she said before logging off, her avatar fading away.

Felicia was left bewildered by the revelation. "Did you two get into a fight again?" LYLA inquired, her digital form mirroring the concern etched into Felicia's face. Miguel's uncharacteristic behavior had raised questions and alarm, leaving them all on edge.

“No-” Felicia leaned against the desk as she thought to herself. “He- he’s jealous, probably frustrated.”

"Why?" LYLA questioned, her digital features showing genuine confusion at the situation.

Felicia hesitated, not wanting to reveal the details of the passionate kiss shared with Miguel. "Just... some stuff that happened," she vaguely replied, keeping that particular secret to herself.

LYLA's holographic form became more serious, crossing her arms in a display of concern. "Well, if he's lashing out because of you, you need to talk to him. I get that you two can't stand each other, but he can't be acting like this. He's our leader."

Felicia nodded in reluctant agreement. "You're right," she admitted. "Where is he?"

"His office was accessed 10 minutes ago," LYLA informed her. "You should start there."

Felicia stepped into Miguel's office, the only sign of life in the room being the steaming cup of coffee on his desk. As she approached it, she called out for him, "Miguel?"

His voice, however, didn't come from where she expected. It echoed from the ceiling, as Miguel continued to inspect some fuses. "So what did Web-slinger want with you?" he asked, seemingly preoccupied with his work.

Felicia jumped in surprise, a sharp intake of breath escaping her lips. "Fuck! You scared the shit out of me! I wish I'd register you as a threat so my Spider-Sense could go off for you."

Miguel jumped down from the tall ceiling to tower over Felicia. His proximity might have been intimidating to others, but for her, it sparked a different set of emotions altogether. "Ok, I'm sorry," he said, though his tone remained somewhat unyielding. "Answer the question." Miguel's intense gaze locked onto hers, and the electric tension between them crackled like a live wire.

“He was just making friendly conversation, Miguel. Nothing else was going on. Besides what’s it to you it’s not like we're together. Not to mention, you haven't even had the decency to have a real conversation with me since the gala.”

Miguel’s shoulders sag. “I- I just- I didn’t want to make you feel uncomfortable or let it be awkward.”

Felicia let out a scoff, her voice heavy with a mixture of exasperation and candor. "Miguel, your attempts to make this less awkward are honestly just you throwing gasoline on a bonfire. Let's get one thing straight, Spider. We kissed, and we didn't just dabble in it, there was… a lot of it. Now, I'm not sure if that was a colossal mistake or not, but one thing is clear—you've gotta get your shit together."

Her gaze bore into him, a blend of concern and frustration etched in her eyes. She continued her words cutting through the tension in the room. "You can't go about ripping limbs off of people, turning missions into a living nightmare, and leaving our team traumatized. And don't even get me started on that idiotic 'no-dating' rule of yours."

Felicia and Miguel stood face to face, their eyes locked in an intense, unwavering gaze. The room was charged with a palpable tension as if a tempest of desire and frustration swirled around them.

Miguel took a hesitant step back, his internal conflict plain on his face. He ran his fingers through his hair in a futile search for the right words, but they eluded him like a mirage slipping through his grasp.

Struggling to express his inner turmoil, Miguel finally spoke, his voice heavy with both longing and restraint. "I know I messed up; I was just lost and didn't know how to handle it. I need to apologize to Margo.” He sighed. “Felicia, there's an undeniable connection between us, but it's tangled, it's messy. We can't give into it." The words hung in the air, like an unspoken promise of restraint amidst a whirlwind of emotion.

Felicia sauntered closer, her gaze intense, and the gap between them slowly vanished. Her voice took on a sultry, teasing quality. "Oh, Miguel," she purred, her words dripping with seduction. "You're fucking desperate for me. It's written all over your face. No matter how many times we try to deny it, the desire is there, it’s undeniable."

"We both know the risks, Felicia," Miguel murmured, his voice laced with a mixture of restraint and longing. "We work together, and if things go wrong, it could ruin everything. I can't let that happen." Felicia remained silent, her gaze fixed on him as she looked up through her dark lashes. Miguel couldn't resist the magnetic pull between them any longer. His hands reached out to gently cup Felicia's cheek, his fingertips grazing her skin as if tracing an enchanting spell. Their eyes locked, and in that moment, the world around them blurred into insignificance."You drive me crazy, Felicia," he admitted, the words barely more than a breathy confession of desire.

“What are you gonna do about it then?” Felicia’s words hung in the air.

Miguel bends down, their lips come together in a passionate, desperate kiss. Their moans mix, unable to contain their desire for each other. Miguel picks Felicia up, letting her wrap her legs around him. After a minute they pull away, breathless, their faces inches apart.

Miguel's eyes widen, realization dawning upon him, whispering, “No... We can't do this. It's too risky.”

Felicia's voice was a sultry challenge as she met Miguel's gaze. "Fine. If you put me down, I'll walk away right now. We can pretend this never happened and return to the way things used to be." Miguel stood there, a portrait of indecision, torn between his desires and the risks involved.

Felicia leaned in, her breath warm against his ear, and whispered, "But if you hold me, I'll kiss you again. And that means you'll have to take me out on a real date, breaking your precious little rule."

The room seemed to hold its breath, the weight of their choices and unspoken desires looming over them. The space between them crackled with electricity, leaving Miguel on the precipice of a life-altering decision.

With eyes filled with lust, Miguel doesn’t move, watching as Felicia grabs the collar of his suit, slowly pulling his face closer, giving him the chance to back out. Yet, he never does and embraces the fervent kiss. It’s wrong, they know that. They drove each other insane from the very start, but the magnetic pull between them was too strong to resist.

The two lovers broke apart once again, their ragged breaths filling the room, their eyes locked in a battle of desire and restraint. Each kiss was a silent invitation, and they couldn't resist giving in to the irresistible temptation that lay between them. The struggle continued, each kiss becoming a bittersweet reminder of the forbidden passion they shared.

In one of those precious moments of weakness, Miguel gently used his thumb and pointer finger to softly hold Felicia's chin, causing her to slowly look up at him. His eyes bore into hers, filled with a mixture of longing and caution. "We have to take it one step at a time," he urged, his voice a hushed plea. "If we're going to risk everything for this, we have to be careful."

Felicia nodded in agreement, her eyes sparkling with a mix of adoration and longing. With a sly smile, she reached up, her fingers gliding through his dark curls, giving them a playful tug. She pulled his lips back to hers, and the room was once again filled with the electric charge of their passionate moans and kisses.

List 7 comfort films and then tag 7 people. Most of my go to comfort things are tv shows--the amount of times I’ve seen Futurama or Archer is insane--or stand up. My comfort movies all tend to be romcoms. I’m not sure why. I just love fluff you don’t have to think about I guess. 1. The Decoy Bride

This one makes me happy just thinking about it. It’s plot is just silly nonsense, but I love it to pieces. Also David Tennant in this banger of an outfit:

2. Saved!

The cast on this one! I will fully admit that one of the main reasons I watched this when it came out was I had a huge crush on Patrick Fugit, but honestly there are so many amazing stars. Mary-Louise Parker, Mandy Moore, Jena Malone, Heather Matarazzo, and Macaulay Culkin. I will also admit that I have an affinity for it because I went to one of these crazy private christian schools for 3 years and I have a bible thumping father.

I quote this movie pretty much daily. The main one I do is this exchange: “You can tacky up prom all on your own because I quit!”/“You can’t quit!”/“Watch me! Watch me walking away! Watch me walking away from Jesus!”

Also the soundtrack! Flowers in the Window by Travis is one of my all time favorite songs.

3. Chasing Liberty

I bought this movie probably like 3 times because I love it so much. Luckily it’s was always $5. It’s another tropey plot, but I love it. Mandy Moore and Matthew Goode are both fantastic in it. Also really love the soundtrack to this one.

4. Penelope

Another all star cast! Catherine O'Hara, Christina Ricci, Peter Dinklage, James McAvoy, and Reese Witherspoon with cameos from Nick Frost, Russel Brand, and Burn Gorman.

It really is no surprise this is on my list as it’s a modern day fairy tale. It’s full of whimsy and has a good moral. I love Penelope’s room and wardrobe too!

5. The Spy Who Dumped Me

The newest movie on the list and, I would argue, not really a romcom. I can watch this movie over and over again and laugh every time. These two together. There are no words. My favorite scene is actually the torture/interrogation scene, which sounds weird if you haven’t seen it. It’s just amazingly hillarious.

6. Bridget Jones’ Diary

I used to watch this one with my mom, so it holds a special place in my heart. It’s such a classic to me. I will always love Bridget, just as she is. Close runner up to this one is Romy and Michele’s High School Reunion

7. Robin Hood: Men in Tights

I used to watch this with my mom and sister all the time. We would always watch it on tv, so the first time I saw it unedited in college was a gift. It was basically like getting a bunch of deleted scenes that were lost only to me. Although I have seen more Mel Brooks films now, this will always be my absolute fav. I still quote it on the regular. Also I’m pretty sure I suffer from the same speech problem as the Sheriff of Nottingham in this, because when I talk the words are all there but often in the wrong order.

8. Across the Universe

Good music, great story, phenomenonal cast! My favorite line will always be "Everything below the neck works fine"

Honorable mention: Shaun of the Dead, American Ultra, Deadpool, 13 Going on 30 (that’s me and my friend’s special movie), We Are the Millers (it’s about the found family)
