GOSSIP GIRL 2008-2009
Not so fast. You’re not graduating until I give you my diplomas. Mine are labels, and labels stick. Nate Archibald: Class whore. Dan Humphrey: The ultimate insider. Chuck Bass: Coward. Blair Waldorf: Weakling. And as for Serena van der Woodsen, after today, you are officially irrelevant. Congratulations, everyone. You deserve it.

Can you make gif set for absentia season 3?
Oooh I’m intrigued, can you tell me which episode exactly?
Update: Okay just googled and I remembered the series! So good! So good to the point that my question earlier on “what episode” is pretty useless because Nick was whump’d pretty much throughout the whole season ha!
I remember someone here already GIFing this and I spent the last 30 mins trying to figure out who but to no avail argh! Anyone have a clue?

lockdown film no. 25 - Frances Ha (2012) dir. Noah Baumbach
16/04/2020
I’m a fan of greta gerwig’s and I’d seen stills from the film on a load of facebook pages, so. i think i first watched it in my kitchen with a sandwich
- i liked how the initial thing that was set up was Frances and Sophie’s friendship and the whole romanticism of it with a montage of them together and then the secondary thing was the actual relationship between Frances and what’s his name and how complicated and awkward everything is and how apologetic she was to him about the sodding cats. Also that boy was a nightmare like make up your mind dude
- this was a really good film for platonic relationships and putting more romance in them. i get really mad about how many films there are about romantic relationships so it was really nice to see one about how cool platonic relationships are
- also they nailed how comfortable you can be when you’re that close to someone and you can say anything to them and fall asleep on top of each other and just be and it’s fine
-“He wasn’t a real alcoholic” “But sometimes he would have, like, twelve beers”
- “‘Ahoy, sexy’?”    “That is actually very gay”    I’m definitely gonna start saying ahoy sexy to my friends
- i didn’t really understand the dancing stuff but then again I’m not a modern dancer
- i reeeeeeally liked the way it was shot, super simplistic and really still and it felt really nostalgic. It reminded me of Manhattan but good
- there was a scene where she checked her post and saw she got something from the bank and she goes “Ha!” Really joyfully and then it cuts to some really happy skippy music and her coming out of the bank kind of looking like she’s gonna burst and she stops on the street and looks around and you can almost see her going “OK! I have some money! I can do anything! What shall I do?” And then she’s at dinner with Lev man its only like ten seconds of screen time but I love it
-“Just because you bought dinner doesn’t mean I’m going to sleep with you.” “I’m not trying to sleep with you-” “No, I was pretending to be a liberated woman!”
- my god the dialogue in this film. I would take a bullet for it
- also the camerawork puts us so closely with Frances, she’s in every scene and when she’s running the camera stops moving when she hits the deck whereas in other films a character would fall and then the camera does a kind of double take because it’s funny but in this we stop moving when she does because we’re so close to her
- the music in this really makes me laugh it kind of reminds me of old school 40s movies especially the short motifs like when she cooks for lev and benji
- Frances’ character was really interesting because I kind of related to her on some levels but I kind of wish I could be as physically (as in movement) open as she is around other people, I found that pretty fascinating
- “I kind of have a crush on this boy, but he’s called Georgie, so I don’t really know how far it’s gonna go”
- everyone said “you wanna see my room?” so many times it became pretty comical
- Frances always verbalises her exact reaction to whatever anyone says and i feel like that would be really relatable to a lot of people in terms of wanting to do that but not because they think they’d sound weird. me anyway
- it was really sad to see Sophie and frances’ relationship go through turmoil
- oh man frances trying to recreate the rituals she had with Sophie with Rachel because she’s done her a favour was so painfully awkward. It did help show another layer of frances’ character because she couldn’t read that Rachel wasn’t the type of person who wouldn’t want to play fight in a park
- i have friends who are the same people with different hair. I also have friends who are the same people with the same hair
- the most beautiful speech when Frances is talking about catching someones eye across the room at a party but its not about possession. I want that framed
- ive never had a situation where I run after a car which is driving away the person I love most but it looks heartbreaking
- MISS CLAUDETTE
- the scene where Frances and Sophie make eyes at each other was one of the most romantic things I’ve possibly ever seen
- yeah. I really, really liked this film
