“If only I could escape all these burdensome obligations,” he muses, sneaking an icy finger behind your collar. “Maybe we could’ve been in love.”

“Maybe,” you agree, and the corners of his mouth curl up slightly. You know him well enough to know that’s not a genuine smile. It’s not the response he wanted to hear, and you voiced it without a moment’s hesitation, as if you couldn’t indulge the thought for a second. He gently takes hold of the zipper on your back, dragging it down your bodice. As the chilly air hits your skin his palm catches the small of your back, as if even from the cold is something to shield you from.

You draw him into your arms, brushing delicate kisses along the shell of his ear.

“You're so warm,” you sigh out. “Is it real?”

What an odd question. But he only flashes another disarming smile, cold hands slipping up your skin. “You feel it, don’t you? So it must be.”

💀 Patricia

Patricia splits your thighs with her skirted knee, pinning you to the bed beneath her. Her eyes are not fixed on you but on the ferry ticket crumpled in your hand, set to depart in just a few hours. The solemn look on her face pierces straight through you. She’s trying to hide it, but you notice the strain in her brow, and the slight tremble of her fingers as they tighten around your wrists.

“I don’t do love,” she says, as if she’s entirely assured of this fact. “But I will do this once for you. No matter whose lips you touch, or who spreads themselves onto you, you will think only of me.”

With a threat like that, you don’t expect her touch to be gentle. But her lips are tender when they meet yours, as lush and sweet as any fairy tale would be. When she breaks away, it’s only to drive in another cruel lie: “Don’t forget—this means nothing to me.”

You respond with a small half-smile, pulling her back into you. “The first and only 'curse' you've given me means nothing to you?” You hope you struck a nerve. She quiets you with her lips again, and you begin to feel feverish as your breath is stolen from you.

it's no suprise that patricia values strong, platonic bonds over anything romantic - after all, she struggled her whole life trying to find a place (and family) to fit into. upon realizing that she's now stuck in the manor, she made it her own personal mission to strengthen the bonds between the people living in it

her reputation is similar to naib's - she's stern and keeps to herself, but at the same time she's incredibly daring and fierce. a lot of survivors feel intimidated by her, but she actually doesn't like feeding into that stereotype of herself since she wants to get closer to other survivors and have them consider her a friend, or a sister of sorts

she's in fact one of the first people to greet newbies upon entering the manor! she's still a bit stoic near them, but sincere and welcoming

open to any kind of bonding and quality time - one minute she'll be on a sleepover with margie, annie and helena, and the other she'll be playing dodgeball with william, ganji and martha!

out of the survivors, she's quite close to most girls and quite protective of them too, especially helena and tracy. out of the guys, she bonds best with naib, ganji, william and kevin - especially naib and kevin. naib puts a lot of trust in her as a teammate and admires her skills and how calm she is during nerve-wracking moments, and she admires his leadership and agility. she's also very good at reading people and one of the first people that got through naib's stern façade, which makes him respect her even more

she prays for her found family every night and treasures all her friends in the manor :)

patricia isn't the cuddliest person, and she is pretty self sufficient

that being said, if it was with the person she loved the most, though, she wouldn't mind at all

she's not one for pda, but she is usually pretty chill about cuddling in one of your rooms

out of all the cuddling positions, she prefers spooning, and going off from that, she likes to be the big spoon

patricia is a very strong woman, and being the big spoon makes her feel like she is protecting you and keeping you safe even in your sleep

will usually hold you lightly when you go to sleep, but as the night goes on her hold gets tighter until she is smooshing you to her chest

if she wakes up in the middle of the night, just being able to hold you helps her fall back asleep

if you suggest you cuddle facing eachother, she will try that too

she has to admit she likes being able to hold you close and tuck your head under her chin

she will often stroke your hair or even hum softly and lull you to sleep

patricia also enjoys cuddling outside of bedtime

she likes being able to comfort you by holding you close after tough or tiring matches for one or both of you

she enjoys being able to rub your back while you wrap your arms around her waist as she helps you relax

vice versa, if she had a tough match, make sure to wrap her in your arms.

this is one of the few times she will be vulnerable enough to let you hold her. just be gentle 🥺
