if yara rhodes has inherited anything from her parents, it really doesn't go beyond appearances. daddy's curly hair, mommy's beautiful dark eyes, and the personality of the devil incarnate from a young age. leonardo and beatriz rhodes are good people, as selfless as they come, who both let go of high paying careers in order to dedicate their lives to public service. alas, the do-gooder gene certainly skipped a generation when it came to yara, and that much has been clear from childhood.

they didn't know what to do with her. she was too smart, too questioning, and too objective. beatriz even had it in her to try a child psychologist, who had to inform her that it wasn't a sin for yara to not be a carbon copy of her parents. this didn't do much for the family's relationship, pushing yara to plan ahead for several years, until she could leave the house as soon as she was 18.

yara has been a free woman since. they've barely have any contact, her parents still unable to look at the woman she has become. since then, it's been one long game of chess after the other; patience to grow under competitive and unfair work environments, to make the right connections, to learn and to grow in more ways than one, all so that she could reach the point in which she now stands.

after years of work weaving her silk all throughout new york city, yara rests on her laurels, contemplating the fruits of her hard labour. she's the glue holding several enterprises together, the chain sustaining unimaginable deals, all the while expanding her nightclub franchise, and hopefully her influence, to different cities. there's now a new, albeit smaller location of gravity at las vegas, but new york city is still the beating heart of her operation.

anyone who's anyone in the big apple know the name of yara rhodes, and of the gravity nightclub. but what happens behind close doors is a well-guarded secret, in both cases. gaining access to those, though not an impossible task, is a remarkably difficult one, so you better start playing your cards right.

Helia - named after the Greek god Helios - was her family’s sunshine. When she came into the world, her father had just gotten a new job, and her small family moved to one of the bigger cities. She was born in a hospital, stayed there till the doctors were certain she was healthy, and surged along on her parents’ new ideals and happy living. Where they came from before, she has never been able to gather, but they were no well-off money wise and could give their children all they ever wanted. She learned her craft from her mother, and often from her grandmother as well, small visits to extended family always were shrouded in mystery. She loved her life in Brasília, her parents, her siblings, her connections with the nature so close to her home and the mystic elements of her youth. But she was a child of two worlds, the past and future of her parents’ fortune.

She moved to the United Kingdom for love, her attraction and adoration for the woman who had captured her heart led her to Fenrir’s Wood. While her greatest love continued her research, Helia finished her studies to become a doctor at Oxford, and with time found her voice and status within the supernatural community as well. With age, Helia grew more like the god she was named for, a bright and powerful presence in every room she entered, she spoke with fierceness, she put the happiness of others and the rights of people before her own happiness, and she began to believe more than just love brought her to Fenrir. She established herself as the coven leader while her lover slid away into her unending research, barely seeing each other until one day Helia knew, the moment she walked through the front door, that she was alone.

The woman she was supposed to have her forever with, was gone, and all Helia could do was throw herself in her work, while holding on tight to the woman she was and had become, not willing to let grief get her down.

She was there when the last Children of Loki was defeated, he'd hidden himself in the body of Lukas Thorsun, a friend of Helia who had been one of the first to be murdered. She returned his body to the ground and thus defeated the Fenris Wolf.

I just finished Coisa mais linda (Girls from Ipanema) (the netflix show) and I can’t find any information about a season 3 but like, I need it?! I need it so bad!! It can’t end like this, I need so much more of this show!!! Even beyond having a resolution to the story, I need more of the themes they explore and how bravely they do it!!!

I’m so frustrated about this, please someone tell me there’s a third season coming?! If there isn’t, I swear I’m gonna march into Netflix’s offices to force them to renew it, I have a list of shows they need to renew anyway...
