May I present to you: My half-elf lady named Kresswyn "Sunder" Zaider, aka, Sunny. Bomber Alchemist with her lizard alchemical familiar (named Slag). This one is for an Alkenstar campaign that I'm actually playing (Pathfinder 2e). And I'm very happy because I missed the system and the Kingmaker campaign got cancelled, BUT, yeh. I'll probably upload the other character that I have in a "Carrion Crown" campaign as well. And Yes, I used Kim kitsuragi (Disco Elysium) as a BIG reference/inspiration for her. Also this I call "RDR2" style because I like the visual impact of it. Play RDR2 If your device allow it. Recommended 100%

Gotta love a good old "oh shit I want to completely change my life" realization/breakdown.
Ah Kid, you'll never have that normal life. Mostly because it'll drive you insane within a month from boredom. But you can still be better than you were, at least.

This is Ganymede. She's the wizard I'm playing in a friend's Outlaws of Alkenstar game -- one who fell victim to a dude for whom ethics in research and informed consent are impediments to science... anyway, she's only got months, if not weeks, before she turns completely into an ooze :(
Thanks @stelacestine for helping me with the sketch and coloring <3 I was definitely ready to post this well before she called "mid" and made a slew of great suggestions

PF2e Alkenstar Character Concepts
Not the AP necessarily, just characters knocking around the city and its environs. I’ve been watching a youtube channel called Mythkeeper who goes into the lore of Golarion, and he recently had a regional deep dive on Alkenstar and the Mana Wastes. I’m loving the simultaneous noir, western, steampunk and fantasy vibes here. So. Some Alkenstari concepts:
Elda Willwright, dwarven gutter press journalist (printer background, investigator class, might also take the archaeologist archetype, in the sense of ‘digging up dirt’). Strongly built around the Society and Thievery skills, she has her fingers in a lot of pies and a lot of post boxes, and keeps particular tabs on gruesome murders around the city. For her readership, of course.
Ingra Darkrend, tiefling/dwarven back alley doctor and gunslinger. Re-using one of my first PF2e character concepts, but she fits really well, with just a little tweaking of her background to fit better into Alkenstar specifically. She works a lot in the Ironside Quarter and the Undercity, defiantly providing medical help to mutants and other undesirables. Will likely take the medic archetype along the way.
Lydie Low, fleshwarp back alley teacher (teacher background, rogue class). One of the aforementioned undesirables, Lydie was a respected instructor back in the day, but a mana storm mishap put an end to that. Now a resident of the Undercity, she knows she’ll never regain the respect her education once brought her, but other people might. She runs hidden classes to try to give urchins, street toughs and whoever else wants them their basics of reading, writing and mathematics.
Thoughtful Claw, gnoll inventor with the saved by clockwork background. Mostly I wanted a bespectacled gnoll, but ‘work smarter not harder’ is a listed gnoll ideal, so inventor actually fits quite nicely. I feel like she got dragged in out of the desert missing a limb, and got herself a shiny clockwork replacement, and just got enchanted by the idea. Clockwork. Just fell head over heels. I’m also curious how that works with gnoll ancestor worship and bone recycling. Would your grandmother’s bronze clockwork prosthetic punching arm be a suitable vehicle of ancestor veneration?
Jessie Screwlark, human street urchin swashbuckler. Specifically the braggart swashbuckler. One of the many urchins from Hellside who spent their lives scrambling around the cliffside shanty town, Jessie is a scrappy, pugnacious little teenage hellion who’s bound and determined that she’s gonna be an Observer one day and fly dirigibles for the city. She’s got big dreams, and she talks to match.
Essaru/’Essi’, Iruxi wandering snake oil saleswoman and thaumaturge (charlatan background). A tough and breezily practical wanderer of the Spellscar desert who drifts into town every so often, Essi deals in little magics, both real and entirely false. There’s a fool born ever minute, and she sure can pick ‘em. And hey, sometimes the tinctures and talismans she sells are the real deal. Just for a change of pace on occasion. Or if she likes you.
I’m trying really hard not to make them all dwarves. But. I also love both gnolls and lizardfolk, and I adore fleshwarps, so the Mana Wastes and their small mutation problem is a fantastic excuse to make some. And I’ll throw in a human too, just because they’re a lot of the population of the city. Class-wise, because of the whole ‘unstable magic’ thing, I have largely erred away from spellcasters, which is fine, because I’m liking the western vibe. This is such a fun setting!

Smog Wraith (Planescape, PF2)
Hey, let's do something Christmas themed! How about the smog wraith? What do you mean that isn't Christmas-y? A Christmas Carol is an iconic Noel tale set during the Industrial Revolution, where smog wraiths would be right at home. Dead industrialists and profiteers reanimated by their greed and willingness to tear down the world around them for coin? Tell me that doesn't fit in with Dicken's intent (or Twitter's current implosion).
Okay, so you can question my logic, but the point is you can be creative with how you tie themes together. Smog wraiths also have a couple of unique abilities going for them. Tactically, you need to be wary of their noxious smog, which poisons and conceals anyone who gets too close. They also cause nearby corpses to start levitating within the smoke, which has absolutely zero effect, but is creepy as all get out. Play that up when you use these undead.
Also I will fight anyone who says the Muppet's Christmas Carol isn't the definitive edition.
A small collective of smog wraiths gather in the Lower Ward, most of them Godsmen or Fated industrialists. The Dustmen are deeply opposed to this undead conspiracy, as the wraiths are far too attached to money and worldly possessions to embrace their Faction's creed. More extreme Dusties decry them as perversions of undead, in their dispassionate sort of way. Both the wraiths and the Dustmen are now hiring adventurers to act as their proxies in this political war between undead.
Smog wraiths are common on the Paraelemental Plane of Smoke, especially in the Grey Way and Embers, where Smoke gets close to the Negative Quasielemental Planes. On the border between the two realms lies the Floating Ossuary, an undead kingdom ruled by an oligarchy of smog wraith merchants. The undead traders weave garments and forge tools out of the plane’s smoke, encapsulating the power of air and fire within their goods.
A sulphurous variant of smog wraiths inhabit the slopes and valleys of Gehenna. Wrapped in a yellow haze, these undead generally form from the plane’s raw quiescence, manifestations of the plane’s innate hostility. Some particularly noxious souls spontaneously transform into wraiths rather than becoming petitioners first. These wraiths are most common on Hamada, where they organize one of the few syndicates which can effectively oppose yugoloth incursions on the plane

For your consideration, Jezebel.
Jezebel has fallen on tough times recently. Born undead nobility in the nation of Geb, she lived most of her life in privilege, but the recent assassination of her father changed that. Saddled with a name that means next to nothing, and a mortal mother and 2 younger siblings to care for, it feel on her to flee those that wanted her head, into the only place the necromancers of that country couldn't get to her: the Mana Wastes, where magic goes to die.
She traveled around for a bit. After settling in Alkenstar she found employ as a spy for the local government, playing on her talent for disguising herself borne of her need to hide. Embedded with the local bandit gang, a group calling themselves "Baphomet's Brood", she made great strides in putting the best in shackles, her career culminating in the successful capture and imprisonment of the feared "Miss Priss" Prysila of the dreaded Cambion Twins.
Things were going well, until her records of service came up mysteriously missing.
Now, with Miss Priss out of prison owing to the machinations of her monstrous brother, Shredder Kang, Jezebel finds herself forced to ally with whatever ne'er-do-wellsshe can trust won't hurt her like the Sheildmarshals did. Luckily for her, it's amongst these allies that she'll find some familiar faces...

Tonight on Outlaws of Alkenstar
Gilded Gunner: "PUT YOUR HANDS UP!"
Longarm (@wolfynsong): "Says who."
Gilded Gunner: "I do." And you feel the cold metal of a gun barrel against the back of your head.
Longarm: "If you insist..." I stretch and there's a cracking kind of crunching noise as I extend my mutated arm above my head and turn around.
Longarm: "Have mercy, will ya?" And I want to make an Intimidate check.

Redesigned/finish designing my Tiefling Witch Sydney Hyde. I say finish designing because I did not care for my first pass with them + wanted to give them a human/hat of disguise form because they sure are a Wanted Criminal in Alkenstar.

I wanted to post all the art of my Alkenstar Character from Parhfinder 2e.
This is Nero von Tiberius Arlen Sybilicus.
He was born of Nidal nobility, his grandfather being on the Umbral Court. He, like his mother was a Alchemist prodigy and ended up going to Blythir College. He has the background Inexplicably Expelled.
He is lvl 8 alchemist and is a plague doctor. Start of game he was living in a basement and is trying to clear his name… but mostly getting high and fucking around with alchemy. He’s my favorite freak.

Outlaws of Alkenstar - Book 3 The Smoking Gun - Session 1
Oops trying not to get to behind on these. Wednesday was the holiday return of the IRL game down at the FLGS and we started with beginning book 3 of Outlaws of Alkenstar, probably my favorite of the 3.
After a bit of downtime to give the PCs some time to catch up on gear, they were contacted by Dunsmith about their next briefing where they also met with the Grand Dutchess of Alkenstar who to their surprise was pretty chill about the their unhinged outlaw activities and offered to forgive their crimes, real or framed, as part of payment of working for her. The Job is to track down Loveless and the people she sold the Pyronite fomula to, but shes gone into hiding. So to find information about what Loveless is up to the party is directed to highjack/sneak aboard, armoured carriage delivery thats headed toward the Shield Marshals hidden vaults.
Getting aboard the carriage goes surprisingly smoothly with everyone making their stealth checks and double crit successes to pick the lock on the carriage to slip inside. It travels for a bit before coming to a warehouse with a secret elevator that goes down to the hidden vault. After waiting for the Marshals that were on the carriage to leave, they slipped over to the vault branch offices ran by Loveless and started rummaging, finding a trio of clues. An invitation to a rich art gala by a private funder tomorrow, a news paper clipping about a hanging of a riverboat merchant scheduled the day after, and a cattle rustler whom the marshals havent been able to track down but is somehow related to the riverboat merchant. Just as they were wrapping up searching for clues a group approached the office vault with half the PCs standing watch outside with the other half still inside, the group wasn’t shield marshals though but a group of thugs that had been hired to destroy any evidence, 4 dwarves in suits and bowler hats roll up mafia style lol. The PCs standing watch outside manage to lie their way out, and the PCs inside manage to stealth out while the thugs gather everything up in the office and proceed to smash it then set it on fire.
With a timeline of events to look into the PCs clean up and get disguised for visiting that art Gala. It takes place in the richest part of the city at the top of a skyscraper which impressively has basic electricity so they get a powered elevator ride up. Its a very rich affair and a lot of the art pieces are gun focused like the weird rich gun nuts they are. The Bard, the only actual criminal in the party gets the brilliant idea to try and sell the guess Novel Firearm Tokens, receipts of a picture of a gun they supposedly bought (yes this is exactly the joke you think it is, we all died laughing). Not long after arriving at the Gala the head of security, a cyclops gunslinger is a suit whos in charge of the thugs the PCs say earlier tries to get the PCs to the the center of attention for a bit so the security detail can slip out the person the the PCs are looking for. This backfires a smidge as only half the PCs falls for the attention grab while the others slip away from the spotlight and notice security trying to get her out of the room. She is reluctant to leave her own party and the PCs not being focused on track her down and slowly start a conversation with her to get her away from security. They learn that shes purchased enough guns for a private armor for Loveless, wants to make Alkenstar not just a great city but a great nation, supports conscription for a standing army 😬😬😬😬😬, and that she isnt a fan of Loveless’ wizard compatriots. The PCs ride out the rest of the Gala not waiting to be rude to their ‘lovely’ host. As they’re leaving in the elevator it stops 1 for down and a bunch of security gets in... the elevator goes down a few more floors before they all draw guns. Its time for the most cramped fight I will ever run as the scene mimics the elevator fight from captain america lmao.
