Anytime is a good time to revisit his stolen award (and Valor)!!
The below photo is a rare sighting of a completely deluded nobody caught in the wild .. notice the dull intellect and obvious confusion.

What a complete putz. I really want to know why Charles thinks it is OK to dump his son onto American soil and just make him our problem. Imagine growing up with that amount of wealth & privilege + having your family arrange Army games for you to play. Then being such a PRICK you take an award meant for an American who actually does good works for veterans out of the spotlight, so you can get your picture made to try and make your brother (future Good King William) jealous. Nobody on this planet is jealous of you Harry - beta boy ex royal.
RTA, Harry’s problem re: the Tillman ESPY backlash (and everything else as well) is that he’s a British royal - the most entitled of entitled within the British aristocracy - who is now living in the egalitarian, (mostly) meritocratic US, and he just doesn’t “get it.” He’ll never get it. He’s a born-and-bred classist snob who will never understand American meritocracy and culture, and that definitely includes American military culture. Unlike his admission to Sandhurst solely because his granny was the Queen, there is no way that H ever would have been admitted to an elite, super-competitive American military academy (Annapolis/Navy/Marines, West Point/Army, the Air Force Academy/Air Force)! He didn’t have the entrance grades, and he certainly would have failed the academically rigorous math/science/engineering/history curricula required for graduation as a commissioned officer from these institutions. Nor would he have been coddled during combat deployment, as he was by the British Army in Afghanistan (for his all-of-10-weeks deployments). Hero Harry was telling on himself, and his complete lack of combat experience, when he explained that the first wounded soldier he ever encountered was on his flight home from Afghanistan, and that’s what inspired him to “found” Invictus. He can try to glom himself onto the US military and “Hero Harry” himself in the American media all he wants, but the American public isn’t buying it/him.
(PS: This is not to say that all BRF, by virtue of their aristocratic positions, are entitled snobs. William for sure “gets it” (egalitarianism and meritocratic achievement), as do Catherine, Edward, Sophie, Zara (cough *Olympic medalist* cough), and others.)

"In honor of his tireless work in making a positive impact for the veteran community through the power of sport, Prince Harry, The Duke of Sussex will receive the Pat Tillman Award for Service, an award given to a person with a strong connection to sports who has served others in a way that echoes the legacy of the former NFL player and U.S. Army Ranger, Pat Tillman. After serving for 10 years in the British Armed Forces, including two tours of duty in Afghanistan as a forward air controller and Apache helicopter pilot, Prince Harry founded The Invictus Games Foundation, continuing his service by creating an international platform to support wounded, injured, and sick servicemen and women – both active-duty and veterans – who are navigating both physical and invisible injuries. Since inception, the Games have transcended borders and impacted lives across every continent, bringing together competitors from 23 nations, with continued support and programming 365 days of the year. Now celebrating its tenth year, The Invictus Games has evolved into a globally celebrated and acclaimed organization that celebrates resilience, community, and healing through the power of sport."

Some quotes (but really, the whole article is worth a read!):
The backlash last week over the decision to give the Duke an award named after Pat Tillman, the American war hero killed in Afghanistan, is understood to have stunned Prince Harry.
and
The controversy whipped up over the decision to award the Duke the Pat Tillman Award – for his work with Invictus – certainly took the wind out of his sails. Team Sussex is resigned to criticism, fully aware of the polarising sentiments towards both Harry and Meghan. But when it concerns anything relating to his military record and work with veterans, it is a particularly bitter pill to swallow, one source admitted. “Harry’s legacy on Invictus, the things he has achieved, that’s his real passion,” they said. “This is the space in which he truly feels at home, it is something he deeply cares about. The reaction certainly took the shine off the award.”
Another one:
On June 29, former NFL player Pat McAfee criticised the decision on his ESPN show, saying: “We should celebrate sports. The worldwide leaders should celebrate sport but doing something like this is obviously trying to p--- people off.” He suggested they create a new category specifically for Prince Harry. “How about it’s like ESPY for Royal Family member who doesn’t want to be called ‘Royal Family member’ who loves sports?” Co-host Boston Connor said it was “probably the most embarrassing thing I’ve seen in my entire life” while guest Ty Schmitt called the awards “a gimmick”.
Let’s all agree to not watch the ESPYs. They’re on Thursday (7/11) night.

"The Duke and Duchess of Sussex stepped out at ESPN's 32nd annual ceremony honoring athletic achievement at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles on July 11.
"The ESPYs were hosted by Serena Williams, a friend of Meghan and Harry's, and the tennis legend gave the couple a shout-out in her opening monologue.
"'It's well, actually only pretty often that I get to be in a room with actual royalty, and tonight is no exception,' Williams said. 'Prince Harry and Meghan are here. Let's give it up for them.'
"'But please, Harry and Meghan, try not to breathe too much tonight,' she continued. 'Because this is my night, and I don't want to be overshadowed by the accusations that you guys are taking up too much oxygen, okay?'
"The footage cut to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex laughing at the joke from the front row."

Actions speak louder than words! Real Royals have no need to spend $250k to buy awards. Real Royals get standing ovations; give awards and trophys, not buy them or steal other ppl's ideas & try to pretend it's their own. These are the REAL Royals, not the Fake Runaway Rent a Royal Dumbos, the Dumbartons.
Awards those two bought
1. Pat Tillman Award for Service
2. Vision of Hope
3. NAACP PRESIDENT'S award
4. LIVING LEGENDS OF AVIATION
5.Gracie awards

It's 3 different Espy awards:
--Steve Gleason gets the Arthur Ashe Courage Award
--Dawn Staley gets the Jimmy V (Valvano) Award for Perseverance
--Harry Sux gets the Pat Tillman Award for Service (Service to whom? For what? As you said in another post, not to American veterans)
Thank you so much!
Harry truly has no shame.

The disrespect shown to Pat Tillman and his sacrifice by awarding a whiney foreign prince who bragged about his Afghanistan body count and being a helicopter pilot (both are lies) is appalling @espnpr ...
An Open Letter to ESPN - Re The Helen Rollason Award by u/Extreme-Slight
An Open Letter to ESPN - Re The Helen Rollason Award Dear Disney and ESPNOver the last 24hrs, I've learnt a lot about Pat Tillerman, as a Brit, I'd never heard of him, so I'm grateful for raising awareness of HIM. I'd never heard of the award in his honour. But as a Brit, I had heard of Helen Rollason, the first Female to become a mainstream commentator in British sport and broke down many barriers. She sadly died in 1999 of Cancer whilst still in her early 40s. Her colleagues at the BBC crested an award in her honour to recognise people who shown great resilience and overcome challenges to promote sport, not just in the UK.Some recent recipients include Billy Monger, a talen5edypung race car driver who lost both his legs at the age of 17 and still races now or Doddie Weir and Rob Burrow who both have done so much to raise awareness of MND/ALS and have both since passed away. OK there are a couple of mistakes, Oscar Pistorius received his award 6 years before he shot his girlfriend Reeba Steenkamp and it's right that we mention her name to not let her be forgotten. But I want to draw your attention to the 2014 winner, where the award was presented to the Invictus Games Competitors - not the Patron, those who actually completed, all of them winners or not, from all 14 countries. If you want to save face - follow suit, support the Competitors of the Warrior Games or Invictus - get some of them on stage. There's still time to fix this. post link: https://ift.tt/iKASm43 author: Extreme-Slight submitted: June 29, 2024 at 10:54AM via SaintMeghanMarkle on Reddit disclaimer: all views + opinions expressed by the author of this post, as well as any comments and reblogs, are solely the author's own; they do not necessarily reflect the views of the administrator of this Tumblr blog. Latest headline from the Daily Mail: "Prince Harry 'stunned' by backlash to his ESPY nomination for 'the Pat Tilman Award for Service' after Afghanistan veteran's own mother said she would have preferred for it to go to someone 'less privileged'" by Arthur Parashar. Harry is dumb but this shows he lives in denial instead reality. I hope Harry reads every single comment trashing him for this award because for once, Harry truly deserves it for trying to attach himself to a hero like Pat Tillman.
Hi Nonny,
Harry does seem to live in an alternate reality that only exists in his head. I wouldn't mind that so much except that he keeps trying (and failing) to make the real world look like the one in his head.
Harry deserves everything he gets from the backlash. Simple common sense says to let an American award go to an American person, let alone all the other stuff. Now all the details about his time in the army are coming out, and he only has himself to blame (not that he will - it's always someone else's fault with him).

"I stand here not as Prince Harry, Pat Tillman award recipient, but rather a voice on behalf of the Invictus Games Foundation and the thousands of veterans and service personnel from over the 20 nations who have made the Invictus Games a reality. This award belongs to them, not to me." That said, it's of great importance to me to highlight these allies, athletes and their amazing families for their achievements, their spirit and their courage at every opportunity. Especially on nights like this in front of people like you.
Moments like these help us reach those that need Invictus most and reduce more than 20 veterans a day taking their own lives in this country alone.
We're celebrating ten years of witnessing life changing impact and healing through sport. While so much progress has been made since those first games, the world outside seems to be in an even more precarious state. We live in an age marked by polarization and division. Conflicts rage around the globe, anger and resentment towards those who are different seem to pervade societies everywhere.
Our community challenges that. Our community proves that unity is not just possible, but formidable. The beauty of the Invictus Games lies in how it brings people together. No matter one's nationality, background or personal struggles. It is a collective built from courage and mutual respect, where athletes discover time and time again the common denominator of their humanity.
