After 2 Months of the release of the Pastel in Ring Racers Mod, I decided to give a major graphical overhaul.

Pastel design sketches by Shuzilow.HA, for Detana!! TwinBee. Though at the time she was only known as "WinBee," the decision to add pilot characters to the game was made because the designers wanted to add anime-esque eyecatches between stages.

I'm sorry, I'll try to make these a little less frequent, but I've just really been in the mood to try and rework her and I do like the feedback.

Anyway, more commentary under the cut.

I decided to try giving the pants some cutouts as suggested by my buddy @bunniesovercats. I think this is my favorite iteration of the pants so far, but I' still just short of falling in love with them.

I think I finally realized that what else bothers me about the pants is that the pink top paired with the white pants looks a lot like Pastel from Twinbee.

Granted, some of my stream sound effects actually are from Twinbee, but I wasn't trying to channel it THAT hard X(.

But, ya know, maybe I'm just over thinking this: no need to fix what ain't broke. Kun3h0's original outfit was fine, it was just getting cluttered with excess detail. So in the end, I might wind up just sticking with the classic look but simplifying it again.

On the upside, I have reached a compromise with the ears: I'll have the globe tips and the window, but I'll remove the star/moon charms. I was loosing too much whimsy by getting rid of the globe tips, but I still want them to look more like rabbit ears, so I think combining them might be the way to go. It's a very small detail, but I also added a connector between the earpiece and the antenna, so it's more clear where they're supposed to connect. So now they're gonna swivel around that joint.
