Call me shallow but I'm a hoe for a good pastel pallette. It's called The Husky and His White Cat Shizun lemme know if it's a good one or not gang :)

Tulip DPD (Dependent Personality Disorder) flag ✨

[ID: two almost identical flags, the one on the right having a divided sun symbol representing the dependent personality disorder. The colors of the horizontal stripes are pastel/desaturated, and are in the following order, top to bottom: purple, peach pink, orange, yellow, and green /End ID]

DPD Symbol by @/revenant-coining, and also credits to @/dependencypersonality for the idea of the tulip being representative of DPD, very thoughtful! Those two together made something click in my brain.

I wanted to make my own take on the DPD flag, seeing as how much it affects my life. I wanted it to be full of meaning and hope for a better future while acknowledging it isn't all sunshine and rainbows.

Stripe Meanings:

Purple: Darkness when without the guidance of others, being lost in the dark.

Peach pink: Depended person, being dependant on them. (Can also represent the love one feels for them, though not necessarily)

Orange: Anxiety, Feeling anxious and stressed when forced to make own decisions

Yellow: Hope for a better tomorrow, new beginnings (rising sun rays)

Green: Growth, constantly trying to be more independent and growing as a person. (Recovery)

As you can see, the majority of colors (3 out of 5) are warm, and the orange is centered. This is because orange is associated with anxiety and cluster C pds are the "anxious" ones.

The colors are in negativity to positivity in meaning, atleast to me. Going from feeling lost and depending on someone, to anxiety but being a bit more independent, having hope, and finally being in recovery and healing,

I chose to use the theme of sunrise colored tulips for two reasons: firstly, the DPD symbol is a setting/rising sun. Secondly, tulips and flowers in general are seen as a "needy" because of how fragile and sensitive to various factors they are, so they depend on their gardeners to stay alive and healthy

I used common tulips colors, except white and the darkest purples to keep some harmony in the color pallette and to maintain the sunrise/sunset theme.

That moment in the elevator shaft was so brilliant!! I had high hopes for this piece but ended up abandoning it partway through. Figuring out which direction the hands should be took like 3 billion years

I think one of my favorite Sunset Shimmer details is that she goes from a fiery red and orange color scheme in the first few movies to being a much more pastel red, yellow and orange color scheme in the later movies and shorts. You can see it the best in her yellow streaks of hair that go from a mustard color to a pastel color. To me it symbolizes her journey of redemption

Hey y'all, soz I didn't have any full drawings this time, so here's a gacha edit I did of one of my characters!

I just call her Fai Coralos, thought it'd be a fitting name considering the bright orange and plant themes on her design. :D

I also tried to use different colors than I usually do with the pastel green and yellow, albeit I did use the bright orange cause I thought it'd help make her color pallette pop more lolz.

Plus I tried to make the background more ocean-like to be more interesting, since I don't really draw backgrounds often. :P

Dressing Like a Scorpio Venus

You may find that smudged or bold eye make up makes your confidence shine. A bright, solid, sharply lined lip - OR a soft, barely there lip, might be ideal for you. Bold lines with a pop of color are a fun addition.

Slicked back hair is a big one for the Scorpio archetype. Dramatic styles, such as pinned curls, spiked hair, etc might be fun and exciting for you as well. Dark natural hair colors are usually ideal, as well as fun colors such as maroon or cherry red, dark purple, or partial dyes mixing colors like black and white, red and white, etc.

As with all things, find what suits your natural face shape, skin and hair tone.

What Happens if I Don't Relate?

Perhaps you still want to dress according to your Venus sign, but don't relate to the Scorpio archetype at all. Maybe you're more drawn to the gentle, pastel pallette of Pisces, or the bright exuberance of Leo.

Don't worry! You are a human being, defined by no one thing. Your chart is much the same. Look to your Sun or Rising sign to see what may most resonate with you. Then, mix the styles until you've found your perfect match. That's what fashion is all about.
