I rewrote the Entire Rabbit Miraculous Lore

Below is my rewritten version of the lore for the Rabbit Miraculous, you do not have to like it or agree with it but please don’t leave nasty comments in the replies I’m only doing this because I can’t understand the canon lore for the Rabbit Miraculous and sadly that is a BIG part of my AU(Timey Wimey) so I have rewritten it in a way I think others will understand.

The Lapin family is part of a long bloodline of Rabbit Miraculous holders. Before the Miraculous Order fell the Lapin family served the Miraculous Order by being the Time Guardians, watching over all the timelines while making sure no past or future enemy dare to change the course of time or dare bring harm to the Miraculouses. It was known to all that only Rabbit Miraculous holders could travel through time and this was an issue as there was no way to communicate with the Rabbit holder while they were in the Burrow, so one of the members of the Lapin family, the youngest of all the rabbits tested her strength and wit. Using the same metal that the Miraculouses were made out of she created the family heirloom. A pocket watch that was a straight copy of the Rabbit Miraculous. The Lapin bloodline heirloom, a pocket watch.

Su Han did not approve of the family heirloom until the family found out that the kwami Fluff could transform the watch if the kwami touched the pocket watch making a connection to the watch. Leaving two now-existing Rabbit Miraculouses. Su Han was enraged that the Lapin family had created a second Rabbit Miraculous and so he hid the existence of it from the Grimoire and other Guardians. The second watch was to remain a family secret hidden from the world and never to be seen or spoken of. The youngest Rabbit was the one gifted the heirloom since she made it. Alexandra Lapin learned that Fluff was now connected to both of the watches, one that was made by the great mage and the other that was made by her.

When the Miraculous Order fell to the beast known as Feast the bloodline was said to be extinct leaving the timelines unguarded. All of the Lapin family was killed by Feast leaving only one survivor. Taking the family heirloom Alexandra Lapin ran from the falling Miraculous Order leaving her as the last of the Lapin Bloodline to exist. The connection to Fluff was cut off and lost, no matter how hard Alexandra tried to transform, without the connection to Fluff the pocket watch was vulnerable, breakable, and useless. Alexandra has no idea that the Rabbit Miraculous survived the attack and is with Master Fu.

Over the years Alexandra started her own family and soon when her time was over passed down her watch from youngest to youngest. As the years passed on the great great great granddaughter of Alexandra Lapin, Eliana Lapin meets a historian named Alim Kubdel, an only child who has a passion for all things of history and old times. The two fall in love and soon start their own family. Elaina inherits the watch but it is damaged and broken from the past generations.

Eliana marries Alim and takes his last name, hiding the last name of her family. The two move to Paris and Jalil is soon born. Since Elaina is in Paris the connection with Fluff is weak but soon starts to strengthen. The watch starts to tick for the first time in thousands of years. In the pocket watch is a message from the past that reveals the hidden history of Elaina’s family. Elaina now realizes why this watch was so important to her family, not wanting her new husband to think she’s crazy she hides the watch and never looks at it again.

Alix Kubdel is soon born and the watch leaves a message from the future to Elaina. The message reveals Alix’s destiny as the next Rabbit holder and rising Time Guardian of the future, it mentions the next Miraculous Guardian and the next generation of Miraculous Holders. Elaina is surprised and thinks it's a trick, a lie, and doesn’t believe it until her daughter comes home one day hand in hand with the next Miraculous Guardian, Marinette Dupain-Cheng. Elaina realizes she must complete her duty as a Rabbit descendant. She watches as Alix meets the next generation of Miraculous heroes one by one all but the black cat.

Elaina soon falls ill, cancer, unpredictable, and shockingly she finds out she doesn’t have much time to live. Elaina leaves a long letter in her will behind for her husband and her daughter. Elaina dies around the same time Alix turns 9. After Elaina’s death, Alim was heartbroken and sad but unlike another father, he healed with his children and waited a year to open the letter his wife left him.

As a year goes by Alim opens the letter and is in disbelieve about the nonsense his wife left, he takes the pocket watch and saves it for Alix’s 14th birthday. Alim never knew his wife was a Miraculous holder descendant or that he married into a Descendant Family. So he knew his Daughter was going to be a Rabbit holder but didn’t believe it until he started receiving letters from his future daughter. He learned that his daughter needed to become friends with the next Guardian, and that was the little girl that Alix hung out with named Marinette. So Marinette and Alix are very close since the Guardian and the Rabbit holder need to be close due to their important duties.

Alix’s dad knew that Marinette was going to become the next Guardian and that Alix was going to become Bunnyx along with all of their friends becoming Miraculous Holders. Though he is scared for his daughter knowing she will be in danger he has faith that his daughter and her team can handle themselves.

Timebreaker:

The pocket watch is not indestructible like the Rabbit Miraculous and over the years the watch has been broken and damaged meaning it cannot be used to transform or even send any messages until it is fixed. When Alix gets the watch for her birthday she sees a hologram of a lady holding up a watch, that is Alix’s great, great-grandmother, Alexandra Lapin.

When the watch is destroyed in the race the Miraculous Cure fixes it. The watch is now able to be transformed with or send messages and receive messages from the past or future. Though the watch will only chime when there is a message.

How the Pocket Watch works:

There are technically two Rabbit Miraculouses one that is made form the ancient magic of the great Mage that holds the kwami of Evolution and the other a pocket watch that is connected to the Rabbit Miraculous. Both watches can be transformed but only is the main Rabbit Miraculous is active, so there can be two rabbits instead of one but it has been years since the watch has been transformed. Alix uses the Rabbit Miraculous but always keeps her pocket watch on her just in case. Fluff can only transform the watch if the kwami is near the pocket watch, touches it or makes a connection to it like using the transformation phrase. Without Fluff the pocket watch is just a plain family heirloom.

Minor misunderstanding, Jeanne was before Fu was born and... apparently she somehow escaped her irl death, at least that was what was claimed in reunion which kind of weird since they literally show her less than a handful of seconds away from her execution

Ahh fair! Been a long while. So it's more of 'this person we made up and stuck the name Jeanne of Arc on. That's not terrible. ML wouldn't be the first to do it. It does get zero seriousness or history points though.

There's a moment when a Miraculous holder dies, when the Kwami flashes back to the death of another. This time, it's to Nebeta. The end of the beginning is never painless.

Why did Ladybug Jeanne let herself be burned at the stake? Did Fu just take it back and peace out on her?

I Can’t stop thinking about another thing that fucked up Miraculous was introducing real historical figures.

Yes they say kwamii were responsible for real events: like Plagg killing the Dinosaurs, Plagg causing the Leaning Tower of Piza (just Plagg doing a lot of things) and it’s cool idea to think about. But it fucks up so much. They introduced Darkblade, which is a really cool idea; what if someone in the cast had a tyrant monarch ancestor. To which they never do anything with. Then you learn that Darkblade is based off a historical figure. @lordmartiya’s post explains it well. Which is okay, yeah you can believe it characters are based off of historical figures often. Sure….

Then miraculous goes and adds Jeanne d’Arc into the show!

This opens the floodgates, giving you more questions than answers. Because if they could add Jeanne, why couldn’t they then add the figure Darkblade was based off. And you might say “Blueberry, Jeanne d’Arc is more well known, people can at least recognise her name.” That’s fair but why include an historical figure to start with because it makes little sense for many reasons. Again with Jeanne, adult miraculous holders don’t have restrictions compared to the children. Jeanne had the ladybug miraculous that wasn’t broken. So why couldn’t she just create a bunch of stuff and then win! Because having the Ladybug miraculous makes you overpowered. Going back to Plagg, it messes up historical events and possibly the entire timeline of history.

This leads to my main point: other historical figures having miraculous. I’ll stick to medieval England and France because it’s what I know best. Like Henry VIII?! Can you imagine him running around with a miraculous! In fact let’s take a look at a set of historical events. With my favourite….

THE WAR OF THE ROSES!!!

Yes I will talk about this event and everyone involved at every possible opportunity. if even one of these nobles had a miraculous (regardless of which one) the fight either would have been drawn out for maybe another ten years. Or we wouldn’t even make it to the first Battle of St Albans! Richard Plantagenet would‘ve had Edmund Beaufort done away with as soon as he got one. imagine both of them with a miraculous! They’d be murdering each other every other day.

What the hell am I supposed to do with any of this information or any of the implications/interpretations you can take from this?! You could say that hypothetically Richard III got ahold of the rabbit miraculous and just sent the Princes in the Tower to an alternate timeline in miraculous. I’m not going to start with the time travel.

Then again, I could make some horror/crack au’s of historical figures with miraculous. Either a historical figure actively with a miraculous. Or the whole being able to contact past user’s memories thing. (Though I’ll change it to literal ghosts) like can you imagine Chloe running around with the bee miraculous with the ghost of medieval noble!

Synopsis:

12,000 years ago, Atlantis sank, taking the black cat miraculous with it - along with the story of how the mighty civilisation fell.

But when Marinette discovers that she's switching bodies with the Atlantean prince Adrien, she has a chance to change the past. There's just one problem - she might erase the future.

Only one thing is certain - whatever happens, the boy she's fallen in love with is ancient history.

Chapter Preview:

Marinette stepped out of the lift and into a room as big as the bedroom and just as opulent. Again, the ceiling was high – perhaps four metres. The furnishings were made of steel and glass, each absurdly large. The tub looked like an indoor pool, yet it still couldn’t fill all that space.

Even in here, most of the walls were glass, drenching the room in light. So much for privacy. But maybe it didn’t matter when you were a godlike distance from the ground.

‘Over there – the mirror.’ Plagg pointed, and she followed his lead to an oversized steel sink against one of the curved walls.

She looked into the enormous rectangle of glass that hung above the sink, blinking at what stared back at her. ‘This can’t be a mirror, Plagg.’

‘Oh, it is, I assure you. Look around your reflection. What do you see?’

‘…the door. The tub. Cupboards….’ With each item she listed, her chest tightened a little more.

She twisted at the waist, glancing around the room before looking at the glass again. He was right. This was a mirror. But…. ‘That’s…that’s not me,’ she whispered.

‘Yeah, that’s what I was afraid of.’

Her eyes rounded as she stared at him in the mirror. ‘W-what do you mean?’

He pursed his lips in consideration. ‘I don’t know what’s happened, but…we kwamis can sense energies and, well…you’re not Adrien.’

‘…Adrien?’

‘That’s whose body you’re in.’

Chapter 1 Preview:

Dropping the duvet, Marinette staggered onto her feet. The floor was warm, inlaid with silvery blue tiles so clean and smooth that they reflected the morning sunlight. Steadying herself, she took a single, cautious step across the room. Then another. And another – until she halted at one of the transparent windowpanes. A shriek worked up her throat, and she threw her hand over her mouth to stifle it.

She was surrounded by sky – an aqua colour so blue, it was like looking into the Caribbean Sea. In places, it was smudged with clouds, their edges almost glowing in the morning sunshine. But the glass had been tempered so the light was easy on her eyes.

Dark shapes in the distance snatched her attention. One was an…an airship? The other was some kind of bird. A seagull, maybe. But it was black, with a long toothy beak that looked almost….

Prehistoric.

Her heart thumped hard in her ears. Yet her hands were moving against her will, her fingertips brushing the glass. It felt tough and solid. Emboldened, she leaned in a little, letting her nose touch the glass. In her peripheral vision, she could just about make out another tower. And if she looked down….

My god….

Was that a city? But it – it was so small! It was like looking down from an airplane during ascent. How high up was she? And how had she got here?

More importantly, how did she get out?
