I am a plains kid, irrepairably so. Having been born into an environment like mine has many effects on people: it can invoke poetry, instill a deep fear of heights, make them spit their lungs out from the slightest elevation of terrain.
I believe i recieved most of these gifts, though I don't believe the great flat fields are anything to write poetry about. There's fields of canola and wheat, sunflowers as far as the eye can see, and further east there's wild grasslands and mirages on the road in the summer heat, then further out, old wells that define so much of what the average Hungarian pictures when they think of Hortobágy.
I grew up next to water, not the clear blue water of Balaton or the salt spray of the sea, but a green river with jagged stones, sticky clay and husks of plants that pierce your foot if you dare bathe in it without shoes.
In the spring the mosquitoes and frogs and mayflies and weeping williows awake and fulfill their puprose as intended by their mother.
I have never seen a mayfly bloom, I cannot write poetry about that either.
In the summer, the buzz of tourists from far away fills my ears just as loudly as the buzz of the mosquitoes, who are so great in number that I begin to fear approaching our raspberry bushes in broad daylight. My mother still harvests it, in rubber boots and thick protective clothes.
There is nothing more to my town, i realise every year. When the tourists go, the lights of the festival and the faint smell of weed dies out, all that is left is ten thousand people struggling to get by, living in the remains of a town once known for better parties, better beaches, less mosquitoes.
About an hour north there's grapevines on the hills. I've tried to write poetry about those but I know nothing about wine, and nothing about the hills.
Yet further, between mountains not tall enough for fear yet tall enough to make me spit my lungs out as I walk, sits a city, one of men long dead and poetry long sung. I walk past a castle, and towers reaching towards the sky. Then I walk past a residential building pointing a molded, rotting finger towards the clouds.
I climb the staircase to the top of the tower and feel nothing, not the fear of heights and not the buzz of tourists on a wine tour.
Many hours south I see a mountain by a sea, the road on top so high above pristine blue waters that looking to the side makes my heart jump, just like when I saw the Balaton as a nine year old on my first summer trip with a mother who packed both our bags all alone.
Many hours south even from there, sits a continent forgein to me, just across the waves. I don't speak the tongues of the people in either of these places.
I feel a wave of safety, just a small wave of poetry. I will only ever return here as a stranger, as part of the buzz of tourists from far away.
I am not a poet, I do not write about the places I am a part of. I am an ill fitting brick in the wall of my homeland, i am a passerine migrating for the winter and feeling the vertigo of mountains and the stillness of the plains.
I will never see poetry in the plains, in the brick wall, in the mangled remains of a culture painted the sunset-colours of despair. I am a passerine building my lone nest, I am a plains kid, irrepairably so.

info post for indigo
I am using this format to organize my thoughts about him and just generally solidify my idea of him. yippee.,, this will probably be edited every once and a while so that I can add/remove stuff.. huzzah
Indigo is about 6’3 although he hunches over slightly, mainly to be more comfortable with his stature because of his peculiar anatomy. Seems to be (physically) around the age of thirty, but it’s very hard to tell since it’s not as if he retains enough human features to compare examples of age. You’d have more luck trying to compare him age-wise to a Bracken.
He is technically undead. Kind of a Frankenstein’s monster situation. The company stitches people and creatures together and ‘programs’ them so that they collect scrap and willingly die. It’s not an easy process, and a lot of individuals fall through the cracks and get thrown into it all with free will. Most of the time, those individuals simply go along with the flow. A majority of the time none of them actually remember anything before their placement with a crew, and thus rarely find the motivation to defy, abandon or otherwise act in ways unsavory to the company. A select few have ever actually been willing to do so, often with little results.
Since the scanner messes with memory with use and he’s unsure of when he was ‘revived’ or if he was even alive beforehand, as far as Indigo knows, he is 53 days old at the time of his death. A certain member of his original crew knew otherwise, but died before anything could be said about it.
Indigo is curious, apathetic towards other people, and empathetic towards creatures. He regards other humanoids as a person might regard strange animals; he knows that they are like him in theory, but he simply separates himself from them.
Indigo ‘matures’ extremely quickly. The average lifetime of a scrapper is usually around two weeks. He manages to live for about a month and a half, a record unseen before.
Indigo is ‘born’ into a cruel, short world. He acts accordingly. In his short lifetime he is only able to recognize Monsoon as family just before his death—after Monsoon, too, has died. Before then, he views Monsoon as a strange creature, and is unsure of why such fondness lingers so deeply.
Indigo struggles to recognize emotions and has varyingly successful attempts to put a name to them as he feels them. The most knowledge he has of emotion was originally learned from his first crew, who died within his first week of life. Two of them died because of his actions. The third died attempting to protect him from a Masked early on—on the first day. Indigo does not mourn them.
Indigo was ‘born’ understanding how to speak, read, and write. However, he cannot sing. His vocal cords cannot handle extended held notes. (Totally unrelated to this—he is able to mimic some stuff with unnerving accuracy. A few examples would be a Snare Flea’s shriek, the sound a Masked makes as they convert another individual, and an Eyeless Dog’s breathing.)
Indigo, while fairly humanoid, has varyingly strange features beneath the suit. White eyes (entirely, without a glow, sort of glassy), short & curly hair, varying patches of scales as well as very short talons. They extend from the bone of his fingertips and do not function well as claws (think passerines). His legs are just barely digigrade in a way that makes walking ache constantly, as his shoes do not fit very well for his unique situation. Indigo prefers to stand on the pads of his feet rather than his heel, seeing as he has more support and his bone structure is significantly more comfortable like that.
Indigo named himself.
While he/him pronouns are preferred, Indigo does not mind being referred to with it/its, or they/them. He is first and foremost separated from humanity. (need to emphasize this later)
He struggles with verbal speech, and occasionally lisps because of his teeth. Where molars should be, fangs were; it created a rather terrible problem regarding speaking and just existing. He bites the inside of his cheeks and his tongue a lot.
Indigo has an extended tailbone. This means; extremely short tail. As in, just a tiny wiggly pointed nub that isn’t even visible if he doesn’t pull his shirt up over it.
The relationship between Indigo and Monsoon is entirely platonic. Indigo himself has no perceived notion of social stereotypes regarding physical touch and intimacy, and does not care much about public displays of affection.
Indigo is extremely sensitive to light, likely as a result of whatever entities the Company ripped parts from in order to create him. This creates some odd scenarios (ex. getting flash banged might actually outright blind him for up to seven minutes, pointing a flashlight at his face without warning will have the standard effect of a flash bang minus the deafening for a short duration, he cannot stay outdoors without his helmet as the sunlight forces him to squint, etc.)
If I had to give percentages, I’d say that Indigo is 20% human, 70% entity (stuff taken from standard entities), and 10% ‘where the fuck did that come from?’
He retains a humanoid shape solely because of the company-issued uniforms. They’re rather baggy, as one could imagine.
His nose is flatter than usual, almost feline in nature. This creates the illusion that his face is rather flat from the sides. His facial features themselves are sharp if that makes sense, with rounded edges.
Indigo does not have ears. He only has small ear-holes and the tiniest outer ridge extending from it, like a lizard.
Indigo dies in the process of destroying Gordion, otherwise known as the beast named ‘Death’. (I know it’s named Jeb, I’m dramatic.) I’ve taken liberties with lc lore for the sake of my ocs if that hasn’t already come across.
He cannot cry. He is physically incapable of it, despite retaining the reflex to do so.
other ocs (in advance once I finish info sheets for them); Monsoon, who is directly related to Indigo, and Lamp, who is… technically a jester.
related posts (containing lore regarding Indigo); the antithesis of hate, holding on real tight, excerpt from myth maker, visual reference for indigo’s coloring, another info post regarding both Indigo and Monsoon, both of us are going to die here, I just hadn't expected that you'd be first, the death of gordion

What's, in your opinion, the most fitting song on the CoCaL playlit???
Eeeeeeeeee okay sorry I took so so so long to try to answer this lol. I keep thinking about an answer then I'd forgot to actually respond and I also keep forgetting I made that playlist cause I for sure have more songs to add to it by now!!
I actually still don't think I can pick a song for this question, somewhat cause I'm very indecisive but also because I did pick a lot of songs to focus on different specific stories. By know there's so many backstories for each character and plenty of OC lore that it's all branched out! CoCaL is made up of a bunch of solitary tales that eventually intertwine into a whole.
"Egg and Soldier", "Sleeping Giants", and "Passerine" are so so so good for the war trio and their story. "Inkpot Gods", and "Dear Arkansas Daughter" fit into the complicated feelings between Nastya and Jonny deliciously for me. "Beauty", and "A Place by a Lake" make me go insane over the royal trouple OCs. I think "White Rabbit" wound up there for Ivy, and "Sweet Bod" and "Cicada Days" for Raphaella. A handful of silly tracks gifted to my favorite sillies Toy and Marius, like "See You Tomorrow", "Like Ships", and "The Wind and The Rain".
There ARE plenty of fun tracks I picture for the general main storyline though, like all the Beauty and The Beast tracks and "Interdimensional". So yummy.........
I'd also mention that I can go into detail about any of songs, which I still can, but uuummmm admittedly some of the songs I picked out to put in there I forgot why I put in there lol.
But yee. CoCaL playlist yumgy :)

I have ZERO self control... So I wrote this one this morning, and made a quick and incomplete translation...
It's supposed to be in a modern and non magical AU, but this snippet can be read as magical too, I guess...
Tumblr media
Unlike the oppressing atmosphere that had made Newt leave the house, the estate’s park garnered him softly.
The passerines interpreted their most magnificent symphony, embellished with the solos performed by turtledoves, foxes, squirrels and cuckoos; punctuated by the delicate percusion of the drizzle on the foliage. All the sounds seemed hung, put in a tenuous mute by the moisture bubble he just entered (almost by effraction, he had the feeling). His senses got carried away : by the humus’ smells that saturated them, by the scent of the roses revealed by the diamonds fell from the sky on their petals and their leaves, by the fragrance of the grass bent under the drops’ burden, or, at a distance in the glasshouse, by the blossoming orange trees’ perfume which flowers opened as many stars, offering an unrivaled spectacle for his nose as much as for his eyes. How could he choose just one ?
Alone, in the middle of this effervescent nature, he surprisingly enjoyed a break, a suspended moment during the storm happening in his brain, in the raging ocean of his contradictory feelings. The thin droplet that bounced on the leaves before quietly landing on his skin, or in a gentle lapping on his cheekbones, offered him a pure bliss moment, a welcomed rest. Newt raised his eyes to the sky, where the day just started to show up, revealing beautiful grey shades. The soft textures from the fluffy clouds danced on the heavens’ canva as much as on his skin, offering him even more comfort than his beloved thick cover Nan Miriam had knitted. On the ground, another ballet was coordinating. Snails exited their mother-of-pearl house to enjoy the wetness day, feasting in the greenish sea decorated with a thousand watery lanterns the garden had draped itself with to celebrate their springtime banquet.
In the distance, the rain drew an abstract ephemeral painting on the familial house’s walls, a map to fantastic and unknown lands, maybe, that only the instant’s magic would have the power to reveal, before the inevitable sunny spell made it disappear.
Overwhelmed with sensations, flooded by his own emotions, Newt sat against a tree, directly on the ground, and contacted Mother Earth. He let himself get carried inside this calming whirlwind, eyelids closed, lips half opened, his fingers wandering through the soaked grass that allowed water dribbles and insects to jump on his naked arms.
As his inside dragon stepped back, pacifiated, renouncing to burst Newt’s skin and ravage everything with his destructing flames, the man breath modeled on the reflux’s rhythm, became more and more slow and wide, a new voice to the current concert, given just for himself (he believed) that morning.

Heya, I was scrolling through the ultrakill tag and I saw your post about Gabriel acting more like a bird, as well as the bird-character matching thing, and had an idea if you'd like to hear it?
How about shrike V1? Making them a bird of prey makes the most sense admittedly, but I think there would be something really fun about them being a carnivorous songbird. Doubly so if Gabriel winds up a raptor, considering the associations he already has with music and the contrast between a passerine bird and a bird of prey. Also shrikes are fairly small (ranging from about 6 in to 10 in) and have Impressively Brutal methods of hunting, especially the loggerhead shrike's methods for hunting larger prey, so I feel like they'd fit too!
Anyways, I'm not saying that you need to change anything, just thought I'd bring it up because this concept lands in a specific intersection of my interests and I got excited to talk about it lol
I had to look up a shrike but when i saw it i emediately recognised it, and YES!!! I think this is honestly the perfect fit! Like, how it looks so unasuming being a super small bird and then BOOM, super brutal methods of killing their prey, PERFECT!
I think this is literally the most perfect bird for V1 to exist thank you so much for this idea!
(Ps if you ever wosh to talk about birds or ultrakill or both i am ALWAYS open to chat)

i’m curious as to what influenced your choices for the pokémon AU!!
in exchange i offer some notes on an anthro AU (that i may or may not ever get around to 💀):
Tumblr media
I LOVE YOUR LIST SO MUCH!! I absolutely love your choices for Duke and Tracy especially (Tracy gave me Columbo vibes so her being a bloodhound is just perfect) - and a striped-hyena just fits TOO well for Duke - better than the animal I chose anyways. AND THE LAHORE PIGEON FOR MARY!! I WOULD NEVER HAVE THOUGHT OF IT BUT IT'S PERFECT????? I might have to draw something for your AU tonight if I start feeling better.
In return, my anthro headcanons are:
Norman: Loggerhead Shrike - An unassuming passerine, also called the 'butcherbird'. As a result of it's inadequete predation adaptations, it must use barbs, brambles, and spikes to impale it's prey. This means that it has killing grounds where it displays it's kills. It's endemic to California as well as other parts of North America and Europe.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Mary: Red Satin Rabbit - A domestic breed. I don't have any particular reason for choosing this breed aside from aesthetics, but I wanted Mary to be a rabbit to suggest innocence as well as deceit.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Duke: American Badger - Aggressive, powerful, and underhanded, American badgers are capable of mutual hunting with coyotes, and are so self-assured that they are rarely predated on by the country's larger predators.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Bill Raymond: Bernese Mountain Dog - A hardy working breed more commonly seen on farms, Bernese Mountain Dogs can also be trained in mountain and water rescue. They aren't as common to see in mountain rescue as St. Bernards or Retrievers, but I just think they fit his character better than those breeds :]]
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(I never got around to deciding any other animals :]] )
And sure! So my Pokemon list is here for reference - and I'll give a quick explanation for each choice below :]] (under cut)
The important one to start with is Absol. It's territory encroached on the land that the motel was built on. It stalked the Bates family for some time, and Norman is convinced that it was responsible for the death of his father. Norma on the other hand - as a result of losing her husband, embraced Absol's habitation and encouraged it to stay near their home. As it goes, Absols are harbingers of disaster, and it still has a cryptic, looming presence over the land over forty years later. Norman doesn't see it very often, but when he does, it frightens him and sparks another bout of paranoia.
Next is Norman's Staraptor. He found it as an injured Starly when he was still a boy. He spotted it in a nesting flock because it's colouration was different, and when all the other Starly's flew away, his remained. He secretly nursed it back to health, moving it from his room to the kitchen and the motel parlour to avoid his mother finding it. By the time it fully recovered, it grew attached to Norman, and even evolved as a result of their friendship. It was too big to hide at that point, so it spent most of it's time outside after that. It only evolved into a Staraptor after Norman made the decision to kill his mother and step-father - promising that it would protect Norman from harm if it needed to. By the time it meets Mary and Duke, Staraptor is rather old and spends most of it's time roosting or on lookout. It's still a very capable battler, though!!
Minccino showed up as a result of Norman's twenty-year absence. Toomey had completely trashed the motel during his time as manager, and so Minccino was instinctively attracted to the mess once Toomey and all the loud, unsavoury guests had vacated. It spent most of it's time timidly cleaning the grounds around the motel until Norman noticed it's presence, and encouraged it to help him look after the motel with him. Now it spends almost all of it's time happily tending to the rooms and the office, and it keeps the place as immaculate as it can. It was frightened of Staraptor at first, but when the old bird showed no interest in eating it, they became tentative friends. Minccino doesn't tend to hang out with other Pokemon, only ever really seeking companionship with Norman.
Marion and Lisa recieved a Minun and Plusle respectively from their mother before she died. They were supposed to represent sisterhood and family, and symbolised the two of them sticking together and looking out for one another. Ironically, the two Pokemon don't really get along very well. Marion also has a Delcatty that Sam gave her as a gift.
Sam has a Kecleon that helps him look after the hardware store!! It changes colour to show different paint swatches to customers :]] and it's really good at keeping track of inventory.
Arbogast has an Arcanine that acompanies him on his detective work, and an Unown that helps him to figure out puzzles and mysteries.
Mary has a Shaymin and a Poochyena as her partner Pokemon. Shaymin is a pretty moody, independent Pokemon, which goes against their appearence. They act pretty dejectedly in their Land Form, spending most of their time in quiet, dark places. In their Sky Form, they become really rebellious and bold, and isn't easy to command. It's terrified of Staraptor at first, but it soon warms up to the older Pokemon, and the two of them often do fly-overs of the motel together. Poochyena is a little bit short-tempered. If you could imagine a 'Scrappy-Doo'-type of personality, that fits Poochyena to a T. All three of them - Shaymin, Poochyena, and Norman's Staraptor, get along really well.
Duke has three electric pokemon, Luxio, a Manectric, and a shiny Jolteon. They can all bark/roar with sounds that compliment that of an electric guitar, so they're INCREDIBLY noisy and are constantly rocking out. Duke sometimes takes the cord for his electric guitar and gives it to Jolteon to hold in it's mouth, and then it uses an electric-type move to boost the amplification. They're bullies, but loyal to Duke. He uses them to threaten people, and the three of them enjoy pushing people around. They ocassionally have infighting, but Jolteon (their leader) usually puts Luxio and Manectric in line. Everyone elses' Pokemon utterly hate being around them, and it takes a really long time for them to actually behave in a friendly way around anyone besides Duke. Out of the three of them, Jolteon is the most serious. Luxio is the second dominant of the three, and Manectric is sort of the "idiot grunt" of the pack. Manectric tends to be the one that gets pushed around when the three of them don't have any other Pokemon to target - and so it's the most likely to have brief moments of camaraderie with Norman and Mary's Pokemon.

it's still Wednesday if I squint hehe ! So for worldbuilding thurdnesday, could you talk about Ciro's winged race? :o Do the wings look different, or are they all snowy white? How did they evolve their wings, or are they descended from something completely separate? Do they run into any trouble because of the wings - walking down the street, getting clothes fit, maybe people trying to steal a feather?
OHHH! Ok this is gonna be my chance to geek out a bit! Thanks so much for this ask @muddshadow!!! ✨
Note! Some of what I’ve got below is subject to some change as I’ve just came back to looking over the origins of the world and all and feel like it may be due for a rework of sorts, but this is what I’ve got for the time being!
The Æris (A’eyris), or Winged (Wing’yd), are one of several races inhabiting the world of Circa Specturgia. The unifying characteristic traits for a majority of Æris are:
- Wings. Obviously. It’s kinda self explanatory with the name, don’t know why I’m even mentioning this…
- Height varying between 200-250cm (6’6” - 8’2”). They’re taaallllll, in part because the heigh acts as counterbalance to the wingspan, in order to attain stable flight, but mainly because I like tall people ✨
- Weigh being lower than what would be expected for their height, due to alternate bone composition, more hollow like in birds, reducing weight and allowing for flight
- Unique bone and muscle structure of the upper body, wider shoulders and a far more built upper torso, to allow for proper attachment and movement of wings!
- Unique eyes, most often black sclera, in some cases entirely black eyes, in some cases possessing a colorful iris, colors ranging between predominantly yellow, red, and orange, with blue and green eyes being slightly less common.
- Most age just ever so slightly faster than Humans, though there are some races of Æris which seem to age slower.
Now, for some more specific world-building and biological details! And to answer the question too! *pushes up glasses*
The Æris are mainly comprised of races with avian traits of the clade Passerea.
However, there is a far higher percentage of all Æris of avian traits from the sub-clade of Passerea, Telluraves, these being birds including hawks, vultures, eagles, owls (Like Ciro!), falcons, and passerines! Passerines themselves are the most common of the Æris races.
The lower percentage of Æris possess mainly avian traits of the sub-clade of Passerea, Ardeae, and other sub-clades, these including Æris of avian traits of birds such as tropicbirds, herons, shorebirds, and swifts!
There do also exist a few very small and local races of Æris with traits outside the clade Passerea, these being Æris of avian traits such as peafowl (duh, obviously I added peacocks 🦚 ✨)!
So, yes! There are tons of different races of Æris, most often differing in wing structure, pigmentation, and other such traits, sometimes in diet and height as well! (A rule of thumb is that the greater the wingspan the taller the Æris to counterbalance it properly, though I have been thinking about adding a part of the wings or a form of tail to them!)
Their evolution and coming into being is a bit of an odd part of history but the theory I have for it is a concrete global genetic anomaly which acted as a sort of catalyst that caused the formation of the varied races from a single joint ancestor, approximately 1.8M years prior, to current day during an epoch of ice, with evolution doing the rest! This is pretty subject to change though but a big part of my world will be the ancient history and all that good origins stuff!
One small thing of note before I get into the whole clothes and daily life stuff too!
Some Æris can learn to ‘fold’ their wings away! That isn’t to say that they simply have them pressed to their back, as most tend to carry them, but that they are able to make them melt into their form and become immaterial! The way weight is distributed and all is odd, but, essentially it can be a bit cramping if it’s kept up for too long so while it’s a good skill to learn through lots of practice and attempts, it’s not something they many who even know how to do it keep up for long. When they’re let loose, think of getting up after being seated in the same pose for a few hours, like getting out of the car in a long drive and stretching, it’s that good stretch feel.
The same is the case for the talons and scales on the hands and feet, though these are in a reverse situation; most Æris don’t know how to bring them forth unless they are in some ways pushed to it or simply learn it, as some Æris races (predominantly those of predator birds) have a higher chance of being able to learn this.
Ciro for one is someone who will eventually be able to do both, folding his wings away to be more manageable at some times, as well as manifesting talons and scales!
As for day to day life! Æris LOVE nests. Not like, actual nests, but Æris beds are most often designed akin to wicker baskets with a sort of curvature to them, along with lots of room to lie down with the wings unfolded, and loose! Æris homes and spaces are usually pretty spacious though the winged folk themselves are characterized by their grace, so knocking something over with their wings is a rarity. It’s more often the wind from them opening that’s a bother, so, paperweights come in handy. Chairs and all usually have no back rest/a low back rest to accommodate, and pouches/harnesses for bags, or satchels are pretty common! Clothes usually consist of pants/loose fitting garments that are flowing but which don’t move around too much, ie are bound at the ankles to stay in place when flying. Some wear tailored shirts with a window in the back and buttons at the back of the neck that close it up, some prefer robes more akin to those worn by buddhist monks, with comfy fabric. Silk, while light, is expensive, and hard to come by, and so linen is a more common fabric of choice, being lightweight.
With a variety of body types, and races, any non-Æris seamster or seamstress who has some practice should be able to fit any clothes they’d need, or cut a window into anything that wouldn’t already be tailored to them!
An Æris’ feather, given willingly, can symbolize a lot of things, depending on their intention, from trust, to love, to respect, to a promise or oath. However, to take a feather without permission, to steal one already given or to even worse, pluck one off of a pair of wings is seen as possibly one of the worst insults one can give. Lots of Æris curses as a result reference plucking or the like!
PHEW, that was FUN. Took me a while, but, I had a chance to think some stuff over and add some detail to some parts I wasn’t quite sure on! Thanks for the opportunity and for the ask, again!!! Hope you enjoyed! ✨✨✨
Taglist! @bloodlessheirbyjacques @athenswrites @magefaery @writingonesdreams ✨

Cross-posting what I wrote in the comment section of the International Fanworks Day Feedback Fest 2022 on Ao3!
For the Dream SMP, I highly suggest "Passerine" by thcscus (https://archiveofourown.org/works/28755084/chapters/70509990). It is not only one of the highest rated fics in the fandom, known by nearly every fan, but it is one of the fics with the highest amount of hits on AO3. The story is beautiful, with prose that creates such an intrinsically engaging world and allows the characters to flow from the author to the audience perfectly. Not only would I suggest it to anyone in the fandom, I would and have recommened it to people outside the fandom. It functions so well with and without the original context of the media it is based off of. Without spoiling much, I can confidently say that this fic could easily be canon to the original story of the SMP. It holds a special place in my heart and is one of the few pieces of written media that has almost brought me to tears.
A second fanfic for the Dream SMP fandom would have to be "that's, like, a hundred miles" by No_one_you_know (https://archiveofourown.org/works/28401570/chapters/69592806). Rarely have I found media with such beautiful representation of brotherly relationships and estrangement, and this fic knocks it right out of the park. It's not too long and excellently paced, with characters that have stuck with me long since I read it and the prequel oneshot and sequel fic. It's a genius retelling of the original story in a modern setting with just enough angst to tug at your heart strings and make you want to read it over and over again. Once again, I can that it is a must read and I highly recommend it for anyone who is looking for something to read, whether you're in the fandom or not.
Thirdly, once more of the Dream SMP, I suggest "Breathing's Just a Rhythm" by MollyPollyKinz (https://archiveofourown.org/works/28468215/chapters/80882578). One of the first fics I ever read in this fandom, it holds a very special place in my heart. There's not much I can say expect that the entire story was not only incredibly captivating, but the ending feels earned. The amount of characters and plotlines present are all wrapped up perfectly, and it fits so well into the source media tonally as a canon divergent fic.
Lastly, for Ninjago this time, I suggest "The Ninjago Fic" by graverobbee (https://archiveofourown.org/works/31791664/chapters/78699049). It may have been written ironically, but it is one of the most compelling reads out there for Ninjago with an amazing cast of characters and wonderful ongoing arcs. If you aren't sensitive to harsh subject matter, I highly recommend you read it!
There are so many more fics I could add here, but at the risk of getting repetitive with my praise since all these stories excel at what they are aiming to do, I will finish this off with a list of additional fics that I think are incredible and highly recommend. All of these are for the Dream SMP.
- https://archiveofourown.org/works/32673658/chapters/81053899 Devil town by hoorayy, for anyone looking for a haunting small town horror fic.

3. favorite line/scene you wrote this year?
24. favorite fic you read this year?
25. a fic you read this year you would recommend everyone read?
3. 100% Hypno's part of One Hundred Thousand Worlds Away. Never have I ever captured the feeling of being low-key suffocated by the smell of flowers while suffering in the heat so well. Also the fact that I also managed to make his narration trail off and zone out, mmm I'm so proud of that snippet of the fic despite it taking up less than a quarter of just that chapter. Considering I 1. have been to some flower farms/flower shops in the malaysian heat before 2. am a student who cannot concentrate in class to save my life, I think I combined those two pretty well
24. *pulls out my bookmarks*
Candid Melody by BastardBin. This shit is tooth-rottingly sweet and holy shit it's so soft and adorable. Also very gay. This is the fic that single-handedly pulled me into liking scarian in the first place. Did I mention it was scarian? Anyways if you're a scarian fan (or even just a hermitshipping type of guy) I highly recommend it. 10/10.
The White Tree by TheManOfManyFandoms. This fic actually has a part 2 in the collections called Timeless that is more focused on the fiances rather than just Karl himself, but I absolutely love the first one. This series is incredibly well written and I love how it's narrated I can't point out why I love it so much but oh my god go read the fic drop kudos and send the author lots of love this fic is so underrated compared to most fics in this fandom. Also should mention this fic is about timetraveler!Karl Jacobs lol
Freefall by SylverFletcher. This one is like the others where it's a short one chapter fic but this one in particular is very short and sweet. This is mostly just describing Grian flying and doing tricks in the air with no dialogue at all, which is something I love about fics sometimes. Gives me light, carefree vibes that I love!
25. Aside from the ones up top... *pulls out even more bookmarks*
Tommy Runs by WitchesCatOnABroomstick. If you like hermit!Tommy stuff this one is a short read about how Tommy got to Hermitcraft. The writing style fits incredibly well with the story and gives it a really impactful feeling overall
A Watcher's Duty by Nym_P_Seudo. Sadly this one is unfinished and probably won't update for the foreseeable future but if you're the type that doesn't mind a half-finished fic this one is a lovely read. Hollow Knight fic of Lurien being forced to babysit a very young Hornet and a very awkward Pure Vessel. This one is pretty popular within the fandom if I remember correctly and the characters are very charming
There are Hallowed Beings in Pharloom by FangirlOfPower. Yet another HK fic, this one is a pretty interesting take of the story of Hollow Knight, namely if Silksong is a prequel to the main game. Absolutely amazing writing, I wish I could give more than one kudo
Passerine by blujamas and thcscus. Yes, groan if you're getting sick of this fic, but I'm telling you: this fic made me cry thrice in the span on one (1) chapter. It's heartbreaking. It's amazing. Go read it. It's great. (for people not into dsmp and are confused this is a royalty AU fic where people die a lot and it hurts like a bitch every time)
There's a lot more but I actually went ahead and pulled out all the fics I absolutely recommend people to read we'd be here for an hour ^^;

Animatic/Storyboard Music
Got bored/procrastinate-y on coloring in this ultra intricate card for my mom. So I’m just gonna make a list of songs I think make for good animatic material. Because why not/I wanna foist my musical tastes on people/ @locke-writes got me in a music binge. For the most part, it’s just gonna be me explaining the meanings or the vibe or what they generally tend to be used for, but really it’s mostly subjective so imaginate whatchu wanna.
“Trust Me” - The Devil’s Carnival Originally depicting a story about the Scorpion and the Frog, it’s the perfect song for when you want to depict the dynamic between a gullible or at the very least more grounded character and a figure whose intentions . . . may be less than pure. Or good for anyone, really.
“The Dismemberment Song” - The Blue Kid I have a playlist dedicated to songs whose content and sound are just . . . not married to one another, but got a weird flirtationship situation going on. Anyway, I’ve seen people say that they like to imagine it’s sung through the POV of a scorned housewife who’s finally Had Enough™️. And . . . They’re really not wrong for it. Really, though, it’s just the right song for when a sadist is just ready to gut a fucker but is disturbingly jolly about it.
“Love Me Dead” - Ludo Continuing with my trend of songs about people in less than ideal situations, “Love Me Dead” is straight to the point: The relationship is just awful and the guy gets nothing from it, but he can’t help but be hopelessly in a state of adoration for the woman he’s latched on to (“You’re born of a jackal! YOU’RE BEAUTIFUL!!”)
“Constellations” - The Oh Hellos There actually isn’t a plot to this song, it just feels really good (as all songs by The Oh Hellos are prone to be). However, if you feel a need to portray the concept of having to reorganize your thoughts after realizing that maybe they weren’t what you initially thought, and then coming to the conclusion that even though everything changes as a result, you’ll be alright? This is the song for you.
“A Kindling of Sorts” - The Oh Hellos An instrumental piece that is like . . . It’s related to another song of theirs about nationalism called “Torches”, so make of that what you will. (I personally have been using it to imagine storyboarding an opening for an animated The Witcher series.)
“The Other Side” - The Greatest Showman I know everyone and their mom has used this to portray situations like villains trying to get good guys to join their side. But I dun curr, it’s a fun song. That, and I like what Emilyamio did with her interpretation. It’s fun. For a basic rundown, know it’s another song about two characters’ dynamics being explored, with one coming to the other with a proposal that they join them in whatever endeavors they have in store. It’s often portrayed as something evil, but it really doesn’t have to be, as the original context was more about letting loose than anything.
“The Thief and the Moon” - Shawn James A much more mellow piece. Simple and straight to the point: A thief tells the Moon that he plans on stealing her light to shade the world in darkness. The Moon insists that the thief would only doom the world by doing so, to which the thief clarifies that he doesn’t care; if the world is shrouded in shadow, it means he will be able to steal with more ease (“My very existence is a race to attain wealth”). Disgusted, the Moon essentially curses the man with a warning that his greed can and will bring about his end -- and leave him to be forgotten by the rest of mankind, once it happens.
“Villainous Thing” - Shayfer James I’ve seen people say that this song is about singing to a cadaver but I can’t quite find anything confirming that (translation: I’m too lazy to look too into it). Regardless, it’s a fun ditty that yet again portrays someone with less than pure intentions encouraging someone to join him in some good old fashion villainy, as they’ve clearly endured their fair share of hardships and surely wanted to do evil anyway (“You’ll find no ever after here, it’s clear that isn’t what you came for“).
“Necromancin Dancin” - Bear Ghost Straight forward and fun as fuck: A necromancer apparently seems to cross classes and try his hand at barding by not only raising an army of the dead, but by also making them dance in order to make conquering the world easier. Because . . . a body doing Disco Duck isn’t scary, I guess.
"Aquaman” - Walk the Moon A song about one half of a couple wanting to become more involved in their relationship, but still having some nervousness about doing so. If you somehow haven’t heard this song yet, you gotta because it’s the cutest shit.
“Jenny’s Tale” - Ren I’ll be brutally honest, it’s about a woman named Jenny who just wants to get home after a long day of work and an unfortunate encounter with a 14 year old named Screech who gets way in over his head. As in, like, a death happens. That being said, I need. Like. An animated music video of this song. I imagine this shit in gritty charcoal or painted on glass, it just needs this. Somebody who isn’t me who knows what they’re doing, please look into this.
“The Curse of the Fold” - Shawn James As cheesy as it sounds, it basically boils down to not giving up or yielding. But what makes it so cool is the fact that Shawn James makes all his songs basically sound like a western gothic soundtrack. Which helps, because he admits that the title is also a reference to poker, in which giving up too often or too easily can often rob you of a delicious reward gained through perseverance and sacrifice.
“Thank God I’m Not You” - Himalayas I prefer to imagine this for an arrogant asshole of a character. Because that’s exactly what this song is about: They’re a liar and a thief, they’ve been called the son of Satan, and yet they consider themselves lucky -- ‘cause at least they ain’t you! If you have a character in mind who’s a delightful, punchable little shit, this is probably either their anthem or at least on the playlist you inevitably made for them.
"Passerine" - The Oh Hellos So there’s a common trend in The Oh Hellos’ discography that tends to explore the two founders’ experiences with faith and their growth in how they understand it or recognize it. With “Passerine”, the concept being explored is the experience they had when it came to taking a step back and realizing just how many of their supposed “fellow Christians” were actually doing some rather unchristian things, so to speak. When they “prune[d] their feathers”, it became clear that they had less in common with certain people proclaiming to be Christian while also spouting bigotry and greed. However, the desire to move away from such influences comes with the feeling of being torn, as moving too far away from the Bible leaves the singer feeling as though she is betraying something she holds dear. As a result, “Passerine” symbolizes not a breakage from faith, but a breakage from blind faith as they understood it, and the inevitable feeling of being torn that comes along with expanding upon how one views their beliefs and those around them. It’s therefore not uncommon to see Good Omens animatics using this song. (Something I also noticed is that throughout the song, you hear pieces of “Constellations”. TOH have a tendency to reference previous pieces, and considering “Constellations” is a song about changing perspective and the meanings we apply to them, it fits in beautifully with a song about reevaluating one’s stance.)
“Like the Dawn” - The Oh Hellos As stated before, a lot of TOH’s discography draws inspiration from their faith. In this case, it’s an outright retelling of the Garden of Eden, specifically when Adam awoke to find Eve had been created. What makes this iteration stand out to most, however, is that the singer is female, which seems to change the vibe you get. It sweetens the feeling of wonder we often forget the first man might’ve felt upon seeing somebody made for him, creating an air of beauty yet comfort with such lines as “And like the dawn, you broke the dark and my whole earth shook” or “You were the brightest shade of sun I had ever seen.” Even without the awareness or an interest in religious influences, it still manages to be a very feel-good song -- which is the mark of an overall good song in general!
“Confession” - RED Dealing with the constant battle of feeling ashamed that how you feel on the inside isn’t in sync with how you present yourself on the outside. That you should feel bad for smiling out at the world while screaming and thrashing -- like it’s a lie. But you can’t help it: It’s what you’re accustomed to. Though it does end on a hopeful note with the singer deciding that they want to reach out for help and rid themselves of this feeling of pain they have inside.
“When I Grow Up” - Matilda . . . Only if you want to cry. Seriously. When you’re a kid, everything seems difficult but you’re positive that once you grow up, everything will change: You’ll be tall enough to climb the trees you were too small to, you’ll be able to carry everything because you’re stronger, you’ll be brave enough to fight the monsters hiding in your room, you’ll finally have all the answers. . . . But life isn’t that simple. We wish it were, but it isn’t. There’s this bittersweetness about this song, about a sense of purity we unfortunately grow out of where we think things will be just the same enough for us to do what we want when we want, but things are more complicated than that. We still struggle to reach, to bear the weight, to not be afraid, to have even a fraction of the answers. But! We’re reminded that just because we’re told life isn’t fair, doesn’t mean we have to take it. After all, nothing changes when nothing happens. And even beyond that? It helps to remember that we’re never quite done growing up; there’s always more to learn, so remember to be patient with yourself.
“Hand Me My Shovel, I’m Going In!” - Will Wood and the Tapeworms This is . . . a song. The lyrics are honestly kinda all over the place and shooting rapid fire, making it a bit difficult to discern what exactly the singer is going on about. It makes for a pretty crazy song that suggests somebody’s going unhinged, which is apparently precisely the intention?? I’ve seen a lot of people interpret this as a song about a guy who is already at a low point in his life but nonetheless is going, “. . . I bet I can go deeper. Hand me my shovel.”
“No Reason” - Beetlejuice God if i had a youtube channel the segment i would spend on this song would be so juicy just ripe and thicc with thoughts and feelings i tell ya rich like a fresh fatty peach the apple that tempted Eve and gagged Adam yes ‘Nother song that explores the dynamic between two differing people and their worldviews. At its simplest, “No Reason” is about two opposite ends of a spectrum coming to a head: Idealistic and hippie-dippy Delia is convinced that everything happens for a reason, while cynical and depressed Lydia asserts that everything happens at random and it doesn’t matter anyway because we’re all going to die. And even though the delivery is ultimately a comedic one, you get more insight as to why one another feels the way that they do: Lydia, as we’ve previously learned, has recently lost her mother to an illness, which has left her depressed and feeling invisible (a theme in the show); whereas Delia’s failed marriage and desperate attempts to nonetheless be happy have left her dependent on the idea that these things had to have happened for a reason, otherwise, her pain would’ve been for nothing. What’s important is that neither side is actually appointed as the winner, with the song ultimately ending that the universe is random for a reason.
“Barbara 2.0″ - Beetlejuice Without spoiling anything (or at least too much), “Barbara 2.0″ is about growth. It’s about learning to put your foot down after a literal lifetime of being passive out of fear of what might happen and just accepting that nothing will happen if nothing happens -- but that doesn’t make whatever happens good.
“Bleed Magic” - IDHKBTFM It’s either about a killer or a vampire. No, seriously: When Dallon Weekes was asked about what the story of the song was, that was his answer. I personally prefer to think of it as a vampire or demon of some kind, given that the song came out around Halloween. Perfect for yet another example of somebody (likely supernatural) having an upper hand on an unsuspecting mortal. ...I have way too many of these on this list, I swear I don’t have a problem —
“Feel Good Drag” - Anberlin A toxic relationship of sorts. In that it shouldn’t be a relationship to begin with. Depicts the singer being approached by an ex, who seeks a one-night stand while her current boyfriend is out of town. However, the singer is aware that trying to continue anything regardless of the situation is a moot point: Even when they were together, their relationship was doomed from the start, and nothing about that is going to change -- especially now.
“Soviet Trumpeter” - Katzenjammer (It’s kinda difficult to work with this one but I’ve seen people work with less or stranger.) Based off the life of one Eddie Rosner, a Jewish Polish trumpeter whose fame within the USSR unfortunately faded due to the Soviet Union’s heavy censorship. Even if nothing is to be done with it, it still paints a melancholic picture of a talented man’s skills being largely unknown as a result of things beyond his control. All wrapped up in a song that denotes a strange deterioration in a way I can’t quite place.
“Apple Blossom” - The White Stripes On its face, it’s a very sweet song: The singer encourages his beloved to be vulnerable enough with him to tell him her troubles and to let him “sort them out for [her]”. She’s clearly saddened, and seeing so distresses him to where he insists that he will do whatever he can to make her happy. However, the tone of the song and certain lines make it easy to twist into yet another song of a character attempting to seduce somebody into a state of vulnerability . . .
“You’ve Got Possibilities” - It’s a Bird, It’s a Plane, It’s Superman The one singular song people actually liked from this forgotten musical. Perfect for when somebody intends on giving somebody else a makeover. Y’know, after totally roasting them on their posture and clothing. If you want to add a lil something extra, know that the context is that a lady wants to give Clark Kent a makeover, insisting that in spite of his schlubby appearance, there’s gotta be something underneath. I repeat: She is telling this to Clark freaking Kent.
“Still” - Anastasia In the context, the show’s antagonist (not bad guy, there’s a difference) finds himself torn between obligation and personal interest: Does he fulfill his duty and live up to expectations set upon him by his father and the society he’s been selected to help uphold? Or does he let a woman he has become fond of go? Is she truly as innocent as she claims? Or is she well aware of what she’s doing? And every time he thinks he’s reached a conclusion, he can’t help but thing, “But still . . .” Good for when you want to portray a character conflicted between obligations of politics and what their heart wants.
“Two Nobodies in New York” - [title of show] Two young men plan on entering an upcoming theatrical festival but struggle with what to even submit. This song in particular focuses on them trying to figure out what to even write, the concept of fame, and if wanting the certain things that may come with fame can mean anything from being sell-outs to getting a sitcom. It’s admittedly specific, but it’s a cute and funny interaction between two guys who are, for the most part, actually in sync with their thoughts and anxieties. For the time being.
“Into the Unknown” - Idina Menzel Look, I refuse to watch that movie. I just do. But I will take this song over That Other One any day. Mostly because I personally like to imagine that the singer in this song is about to embark on a Pixaresque journey after accidentally leaving her home during the night of The Wild Hunt, accidentally separating her spirit from her body and thus giving her a very limited time to get back to it before she remains a soul trapped in a whirlwind of ghosts forever. But first: Let’s sing about that strange howling that coaxes her so.
“You’re Gonna Go Far, Kid” - The Offspring I sure do long songs that can characterize a shithead . . . Anywho! The smoothest way to go is just to portray some cocky, manipulative shit who’s used to just lying and cheating their way to get what they want before slipping away without any consequences -- to a point. There’s the option of portraying the betrayer’s comeuppance, but there’s also the frustratingly delicious option of just letting them get away with whatever to lie another day.
“Why Should I Worry” - Billy Joel When in doubt, go to earlier Disney. Because like it or not, they had some bops. And when in the need of portraying a happy-go-lucky (probably idiotic) doofus and his more neurotic or cynical friend going about their life with the former just Mr. Magooing it while the latter suffers more realistic consequences? You go with this song. If you want. That’s just me.
“Transformation” - Brother Bear For when you want to invoke a mystical or otherworldly feeling. There’s really not much more I can say except to encourage you to listen to it and watch the scene if you can find it. You’ll get the vibe.
“No Girl’s Toy” - Raggedy Ann and Andy: A Musical Adventure It’s a big shame this movie is relatively unknown and never got a proper VHS release or anything -- mainly because the music in this cult classic is definitely stuff I could see becoming standards. I could see people performing “I Never Get Enough” for little shows, or recycling “Blue” for a different show. Thankfully, somebody was able to upload a clear enough sounding recording of “No Girl’s Toy”, so at least we have that. In context (just...follow me on this), Raggedy Ann’s brother, Raggedy Andy, has had enough of being subjected to “girly things” while in the nursery. Additionally, though, the way the song was written means it can also be interpreted as just a guy who refuses to let himself be yanked around regardless of how thick the sugar being laid on him is. . . . If you wanna poke fun as a character for trying to appear tougher than what he is, here’s the song. (That being said, Andy is a sweetheart at the end of the day. No amount of tough-fronting will hide that.)
“I Enjoy Being a Girl” - Flower Drum Song (It is by sheer coincidence that this song follows the above.) Really, it’s exactly what it says on the tin: The singer enjoys being a girl and what all it entails for her. She loves her feminine form, she loves the attention she gets, she loves dolling herself up, she loves frilly dresses, and she hopes to one day marry a guy who enjoys “having a girl like [her].” And honestly? Good on her! Love whatcha love, lovely! Seriously, though, it’s a cute song for anyone who just wants to indulge in some girliness.
“Chip on My Shoulder” - Legally Blonde Come on: It’s Legally Blonde. You know what this bop is, or at least have an idea of it. But since I love this song, I’ll indulge: Disheartened by her failure to both win back her ex and succeed in the fast-paced environment of Harvard, the normally bright-eyed Elle is ready to call it quits. That is, until junior partner Emmett gets involved. Unimpressed by her story, Emmett reveals that he got to where he was by busting his ass due to having a chip on his shoulder from his rough beginnings — and maybe a chip on the shoulder is exactly what Elle needs to survive. And as somebody driven by spite, I can appreciate that kind of message. Anywho, it all in all is a song about growth and learning how to be “driven as hell” to keep up with an opportunity that may not be easy to take, but is not one to be passed by.
“What Do I Need with Love?” - Thoroughly Modern Millie “What Do I Need with Love?” asks exactly that: He could date a different girl every night of the week if he so wanted, and never once had any desire to go steady before. He considers himself lucky to have never fallen for anyone -- until now. Which he’s not! He’s not in love. ...He totally is and, by his own admission, he’s got it bad it’s terribly adorable.
“Interlude IV” - Zach Callison The entire album is actually a narrative about a failed relationship of Callison’s and I’m sure the other songs are just as great fuel for animatics -- I’m just too caught up on listening to this one over and over. Sometimes, we just wanna listen to Steven Universe cuss and be openly furious. Seriously, though, even without the context of the rest of the story, you get the idea well enough: A spiteful Zach decides to get back at the one that broke his heart in such a painful way, whereas a well-meaning friend insists they just leave it be and move on. While this technically would be the better and healthier option, Zach is just too far gone with rage to let it go and decides to take care of things by himself.
“Evermore” - Beauty & the Beast Look, I know the remake wasn’t anything crazy. But also I don’t honestly care too terribly much. Besides, this song was nice and it really gets me after that key change. We all want a royal doofus to be enamored enough with us to let us go for our own happiness but still know that their life will forever be changed because they met us. Animate that shit. Over and over.
goddamn this list is long lemme just stop this now byyyyeeeee

Note
hello! i would like ur 40 song wiblur playlist
anon thank you so much for asking <333 while it would’ve been easier to just drop the link i have so many thoughts about everything so i explained why every single song has its spot on this list which was IMMENSELY fun for me
(also: if anyone does want the link i can provide both apple music and spotify but if u would like the apple music link i’d rather it be through dms or an ask off anon that i can make private!)
another also: i bolded all the songs for ease of perusing if you don’t want the director’s commentary and bolded + italicized the ones that i think fit Very Well
another another also: wrote the second bit of this on my laptop and the keyboard is p funky so if there are any typos or things that do not make sense i will try to fix them asap haha
saint bernard by lincoln: this is one of those like. Dream SMP Songs that i added because it fits into so many different relationships and plot lines and arcs but i think there’s some connection to c!wlbur somewhere out there. idk i asked my friend and he said to add it so this one goes out to him
amnesia was her name by lemon demon: ghostbur song ghostbur song! mostly comes from this lovely animatic
o valencia! by the decemberists: okay this is one of those songs that only really has one lyric that fits but is an absolutely banger so it’s here anyway. you’ll also notice a trend of quasi love songs that i relate to c!wilbur’s perception of l’manburg and i think this song shows this in a really cool way, esp with the chorus (‘and i swear to the stars i’ll burn this whole city down’ is The Line)
achilles come down by gang of youths: another one of those Dream SMP Songs. i think this fits better with c!tommy but i like it too much to remove it. this is a somewhat common trend with the earlier songs on this playlist (i’ve been building this thing since january, for reference)
brave as a noun by ajj: another Dream SMP Song. i think certain verses fit better than others when it comes to wilbur’s character but that ones that work really work
harness your hopes by pavement: a song that is one here for vibes alone. i have no idea what these lyrics mean. all i know is that i heard it, thought of c!wilbur, and put it on the playlist. thank you all for being here
evelyn evelyn by evelyn evelyn: sad-ist made this a tommy and tubbo song (as she should) so it’s validity on this playlist is questionable but folks used to compare it to wilbur and tommy’s relationship during the pogtopia arc and i think some points were made there
the execution of all things by rilo kiley: i’m so excited to get here because this was the first song i put on the playlist that i think really works and i thumb nailed an animatic for the last verse and november 16th so! i think it’s a good l’manburg song and the last verse has some good ghostbur lines (‘and lately you’re all alone with nothing left but sleep/but sleep never comes to you, it’s the guilt and forever wakefulness of the weak’)
i’m just your problem from adventure time: this ones a bit tricky since at is my favorite show of all time and i cannot detach this song from its in-show context very well but there is a very cool animatic with this song that landed it a spot on the playlist
man burning by josh ritter: almost became an animatic but the audio i wanted to use (which i recorded at a josh ritter concert and it’s just him and his guitar and there’s echo and it’s very haunting and pretty) has my stepbrother singing in the background and i could not edit it out so. that will probably not happen. but anyways the only hole i would pick in this song is that it’s mostly about self sabotage which isn’t really applicable but i think the imagery is cool
mamma mia by abba: here me out. here me out. this is another song that fits so well and i have spent so many hours thinking about this and somewhere there is a note on my phone explaining how every single line relates to c!wilbur’s entire arc from founding l’manburg to the resurrection (made when we thought gbur was going to get resurrected in january) and just. the metaphorical ‘you’ is l’manburg does this make any sense (another almost animatic except now that wilbur’s actually back it might become an actual animatic)
the other side of paradise by glass animals: no idea why this is here other than being a Dream SMP Song. it’s good tho
infinitesimal by mother mother: they saaaaay it stared with a big bang but they saaaaaaaay it came out of a small thing latelyyyyy i’ve been feeling like a big bang You Know
curses by the crane wives: had a thing drawn out for this song showing the comparisons between c!wilbur and c!niki because of the chorus and i think the last two lyrics of said chorus are the best thing about this one
lonely eyes by the front bottoms: gotta admit that i have no idea how this song got on here but i’ve come to associate it with ghostbur based on vibes alone. it’s a friendly song he’s a friendly ghost it works. the other tfb song coming up fits a bit better methinks
king of new orleans by better than ezra: not to put better than ezra on my c!wilbur playlist but like. something about the whole ‘tasing something up to let it fall’ motif makes me think
get me away from here, i’m dying by belle and sebastian: another almost animatic song (there’s a trend here). not only does the story told in this song work i like the lines ‘play me a song to set me free/nobody writes them like they used to so it may as well be me’ in relation to my l’manburg
montgomery forever by the front bottoms: certain bits and pieces of this song fit so well, specifically the chorus and those bits in the last two choruses Yeah (’montgomery forever and ever and ever and now they’re blowing it up/(x2)/as you started laughing and crying and trying to explain how all you want to do is leave’)
don’t look back in anger by oasis: out of all my almost animatic songs, this one got the furthest. the animatic, which I got pretty far in thumbnailing, was about wilbur and tommy and kind of drawing comparisons between their characters, also about the revolution in general. maybe i’ll finish that animatic one day idk
snow by ricky montgomery: i wish i had a link for this so bad but!! saw art on twitter!! with the lyric ‘bury me six feet in snow’!! and went ahfsdjfk!!
burning pile by mother mother: a Dream SMP Song. also a jam there’s no real specific connection for this one but i think it could fit in a couple of ways
rounds by the oh hellos: in the same position as snow except it was on tumblr..... @ whoever made this comic i saw these lyrics in your brain is massive and your art is incredible
lovely by mt. eddy: on here for vibes alone. there’s something in the lyrical content too, but my thoughts in that regard are not very fleshed out
adventures in solitude by the new pornographers: ah yes..... the song that prompted this all...... this is a beautiful and incredibly well written song and if you’re going to listen to any song off of this playlist i’d encourage you to listen to this one. it’s place of here is mostly cause of the chorus but the imagery in the verses could all represent a part of c!wilbur and i’d love to explore that more
caught in the middle by paramore: obligatory paramore song. i think it got on here because limbo = ‘middle’ but i’m not quite sure. on the verge of being deleted if i can find a better pmore song
delicate by damien rice: one of the oddest songs on this list and i am well aware that it sticks out like a sore thumb. a song that’s on here pretty much because of one lyric, which is ‘and why’d you sing hallelujah/if it means nothing to you’ which i related to both eret’s betrayal and how my l’manburg is hallelujah yknow
bang! by ajr: almost animatic song. i think we all know what the bang is here
somewhere only we know by lily allen: ik i said don’t look back in anger has the most potential to get made into an animatic but this song might actually take it place. on par with adventures in solitude in terms of how pretty of a song it is, and probably even moreso. it’s kind of turned into a ghostbur song in my head, and makes me cry like an infant child every time i hear it
a pearl by mitski: i cannot defend this song’s place on here past the line ‘it’s just that i fell in love with a war and nobody told me it ended’
eight by sleeping at last: the official c!wilbur song needs a spot on here <3 if i can dig up the clip of cc!wilbur talking about this song in relation to his character i’ll add it but until then yeah <3
always by rilo kiley: no idea why this is on here but it fits well!! could not tell you why!! banger!!
celebration guns by stars: it’s a hauntingly beautiful song about war, and kind of one of those that necessarily isn’t about wilbur but moreso his place in the story? idk how to explain it but yes
passerine by the oh hellos: it’s. it’s from the . the fic. yeah h
oh, you are the roots that sleep beneath my feet and hold the earth in place by bright eyes: added this after the real resurrection and i think it’s because fo the imagery? also the last verse
we are beautiful, we are doomed by los campesinos!: all i have to say is ‘i cannot emphasize enough that my body/is a badly designed, poorly put together vessel/harboring these diminishing, so called vital organs/i hope my heart goes first, i hope my heart goes first!’ has always made me think of pogtopia era wilbur :(
dead weight by jack stauber: no real connection other than eret played this song during a break during the ghostbur’s january ‘resurrection’ and i heard it and went :0
point me at lost lands by tired pony: gives me season on l’manburg vibes..... i love how free and passionate it sounds and that's p much the only reason it’s on this list haha
ghosting by mother mother: added this five seconds ago because i could not BELIEVE it was not on here. ghostbur song. mans sang it on that one stream with the reverb and everything. the lyrics ‘i will be kind and i’ll be sweet/if you stop staring straight through me’ hit particularly hard back when everyone thought that ghostbur was actually wilbur in disguise

My Reactions to Boreas (the EP) by The Oh Hellos ❄
I recorded my initial thoughts on audio so I know exactly what came to mind. Post-recording thoughts in parenthesis. Under the cut because of length.
1. A Kindling, of Sorts -already heard this in 08.21.20 but whatever
-still very much love it
-you build a kindling to start a fire meanwhile this song builds up until all the rest of the instruments join in and that's so cool
-still adoring the torches motif + dry branches motif
2. Cold
-wait this intro is so cute
-wow i like this song
-this so christmassy
-which is fitting since it's ber months already haha
-the greek mythology allusions!!!
-this song is a tyler + maggie duet and honestly i like that already
-(in reference to the fourth verse) this gives me grow vibes (idk why i said that lol probably because of "chokes it back"
-this motif sounds familiar omg but i can't place it??? (two listens later: WAIT it's passerine aaa love [you know your ear is bad when you can't even recognize your fave toh song's melody smh])
-the mention of patricians and the rich is such interesting imagery (in retrospect: especially in relation to eurus!)
3. Lapis Lazuli
-TYLER we stan a king 👑
-hey i like the song!
-this song hits this song hits this song hits (for context as i was listening [and even currently] i was not in a good place bc Family Issues)
-what is a rayleigh (yes i'm uneducated pardon me)
-oooh this song's about truth that's neat
-blue as the color of truth while it's also usually the color of nobility or loyalty hmm🤔
-(in retrospect: THE DEAR WORMWOOD CALLBACK AAA)
-this gives me constellations vibes!
4. Rose
-i found the song that's most explicitly christian related and as a catholic and a lover of the song passerine i am Getting Ready (i based this on the bio and annotations on genius)
-this is the passerine of boreas isn't it
- "my mouth don't taste of metal" reminds me of "my palms and fingers still reek of gasoline" in the sense that they mention a body part, a sense, and a flavor/smell
-is this why boreas (the song) is themed around sacrifice as well, because rose starts the concept about suffering and sacrifice first?
-oh is this a reference to sleeping beauty?
-oh Yikes
-oh is the "hangman" supposed to be the hanged man like in tarot cards? i love that symbolism of sacrifice and martyrdom
5. Smoke Rising Like Lifted Hands
-mm okay so i think i still prefer akos more
-but i do like how it gives the vibe of smoke rising
-i think cause of the upward progression of notes?? (i'm not very good at analyzing music by ear sooo feel free to explain to me why it Sounds Like That)
6. Boreas
-skipping mostly bc y'all already know what my thoughts are (search "the oh hellos boreas" on my blog and scroll up a lot)
-but one significant thing is that this is the song i started crying at
-and it continued until glowing
7. Glowing
-(in retrospect: oh what is that morse code??? i later learn that it doesn't mean anything [kloud bdix tho 🍉]. however, i absolutely freaking ADORE the concept of "a message trying to get thru in the midst of darkness" 💙💙💙)
-i like the tune! as in, the overarching one that goes up-down-up
-THE "IN THE END" FROM THE FIRST PLACE CONNECTING WITH "IN THE END" FROM BOREAS I'M 😭😭😭
-not sure but i kind of see lines pertaining to the day of judgment/the second coming/afterlife?? maybe i'm focusing too much on the first part but that would be interesting
-*insert audible crying noises*
-i *sniff* like *sniff* this *sniff* one
-rose + boreas + glowing and their mentions of sacrifice... i appreciate that
-the journey across this 20 minutes is beautiful... we decayed and then we went numb and then we sacrificed ourselves and then we were brought back to life... and that's where ideas come from 😭😍💚💙🍉❤
Okay, on first listen, it's either Boreas or Glowing that's my current favorite BUT I need to relisten so it's fair as I've listened to Boreas ten times already and have only listened to others once (I have now listened to Cold thrice, and am getting more endeared to it and its simple, repetitive melody) but this was such a pleasant album to listen to. It's my first time reacting to an album on the day it got released and with no prior knowledge about it, and it was a great experience. Love y'all passerines, stay glowing 💙

Happy STS! ❤️ I really love so much all the lore/worldbuilding things you post about your wips... Like Tybee's puzzles, and that story about the stars, and this other story about the goddesses too... Can I have anything more about it? Any kind of lore or worldbuilding facts? Thanks, I'll love it -chauceryfairytales
Here is an old file I found called “A bit about shapeshifters”. I hope this fits the bill @chauceryfairytales
A bit about shapeshifter races in Asylum
A preface: All modernday shapeshifters share a common origin, long lost to ancienthistory. The magic that forged them drew inspiration from thenaturalized world, from the fey creatures that arose from theElements. While modern peoples neither know nor care about theseorigins, it is worth keeping in mind that not every shapeshifter iswhat it seems, or thinks itself to be. Those with fey origins, nomatter how remote, are subject to different realities about magic. Those of the common shapeshifter ancestry have lost much of theirmagic over the generations, and now, most individuals are “normal”,outside of carrying a second animal soul.
Serpents: venomous(cobras, vipers) and non-venomous (pythons, and boas)
The venomous lines tendto have powerful magic, usually mirroring the color of their scales.Pythons and boas usually do not, though some interesting individualshave popped up here and there. In ancient times, cobra magic usuallydominated anyone of split parentage, and venomous tended to rule outover non. It is possible to be born split formed or blended form, displaying the talents and scales of both parents. Usually, suchpeople still only have a single serpent form, but there are rumoredto be some who call two entirely separate sets of scales.
For various reasons, serpents are often hit hardest during times of fear and war. Many ofthe lines known in ancient times are long lost, and with them, themagic they carried. Stories remain, but to most, they are just that:stories.
Avians: raptors (owls, hawks, eagles, and falcons) and passerines (basically any bird thatisn't a predator) *and corvids
Divided into twoclasses, the raptors and the passerines, based loosely on the birdtype they call. An ancient legend says that the first passerine wasborn when he lay down his magic willingly, to foster peace in awar-torn world. In our modern world, it is true that passerine typesalmost never have any magic, but even in the raptor types, magic isless and less common. Those raptors who do possess magic tend to bevery old, and very secretive. This may be due to the still lingeringdistrust of the griffics, a legendary nation of chimera: gryphons, hippogriffs, and wyverns. Even though nothing but rumors remain ofthe nation today, their reign was so absolute, fear of winged magicis hard to forget.
*Crows, ravens, magpies, and jays make up an outlier group known as crovids. Magiccan be found in their ranks, but not often. Some of these shiftersare of a similar background to the first passerines, while otherscome from more fey-like origins. The legends and superstitionssurrounding these groups are as varied as the cultures they findthemselves struggling to be a part of. In Riverside, most of thecorvids live uptown with the raptors, in a loose alliance with thewitch community. But it is equally common for corvids to integratewith passerine groups, or, in large enough numbers, to form their ownunits.
Felines: nations(tigers and lions), families (leopards and panthers), and solitaries(any) *and foxes
Like most of thepredator races, felines are better known for their martial prowessthan magical. Aside from the lions and tigers, felines tend to besolitary creatures, forming small familial bands, if anything. Eventhe great tiger nations are made up of smaller tribes, operating asindependent war-bands unless called together by their overlords. Somefeline forms also crop up in mixed species family groups, especiallyin remote and wild places like the North and the West, where magic ismore common, and unpredictable. Such peoples almost never ventureinto the more modernized lands, and so little is known about them. But, presumably, they feel the same nomadic urge common to otherfeline types. Like the cat types they call, feline magic tends to befickle, and it is not uncommon for a first shift to occur as late asearly adulthood, though it can occur much younger.
*While foxes are notclassically feline, behaviorally, they fall into this category. Likethe corvids, their ancestry may be common with other shifters types, while other lines descend from fey types. Fox magic, when it cropsup, leans towards illusions and dreams, Fire, or Earth.
Canids The Pack(wolves) and the solitaries (jackals and coyotes) *and The Den(hyenas)
Straight up,traditional Werewolves, without all the moon-gaga, silver-fearingbullshit. Wolves form rigid pack structures, with clear lines ofdominance leading to their absolute Alpha. Occasionally, Lone Wolvesare tolerated within a Pack's territory, either by being minor enoughto ignore, or by paying appropriate tribute. Lesser canids likejackals and coyotes are either ignored, or bullied. Might makes Rightin the canid world, and so the fierce dedication to structure is allthat keeps them from tearing themselves apart like animals. Fiercelyterritorial, the health of the local wolf pack either meansmeticulously guarded Order in their area, or barely contained gangviolence. Thankfully, canid races tend to be devoid of magic. It isalso not uncommon for their shapeshifting magic to be controlled, monitored, or even suppressed by their group's energy until puberty.
*Call a hyena a dog andthey will bite you. Despite, or maybe because of, their similardominance behaviors, hyenas and wolves war nearly every time theyclash. As a general rule, hyenas fight less for dominance, usuallyforming a clear line of command based on experience and age, ratherthan brute strength. In Riverside, the local Den are somewhatmilitant, divided into small bands of four or five that look an olderleader, with those units grouped together to make a squad, squadsinto sections, and so on. Currently, there are five “generals”who form a council under the highest leader, known simply as The Den.
Herd: Horses and Deer*and rabbits
Herd families are adying breed. With the growing sprawl of urbanization encroaching onthe wilderness, wide open spaces are harder and harder to come by.Intimately tied to the land's own magic, fecundity is becomingincreasingly reduced as space is becoming a premium. In today'smodern world, horse families are less and less nomadic, buying up anyland they can and forming homesteads. They live in the most perfectdisguises: as horse farmers and cattle ranchers. Few nomadic bandsremain, serving as caravan guards and escorts in those remote placeswhere civilization refuses to take. Deer families, if they stillexist, are never seen outside of their native forests.
*While not properlyherd, rabbits crop up in those same odd families in the North andWest.
Misc.
Shapeshifter magicreflects the land it comes from. While some elements of form areinheritable, local elements influence the form a child's magic willtake. Nica, for example, is hawk like her father, but being born onAmerican soil, her soul took the form of a Red-Shouldered Hawk whenit reached for a specific shape, while his was something reflectinghis native European land. So, depending on a myriad of conditions, intheory, ANY naturalized animal could potentially show up in ashapeshifter's soul, provided it resonated with the basic type (bird, serpent, feline, canid, herd). Add to it the mingling of fey-typelines into “pure” shifter lines, and the magic becomes even lesspredictable.

17, 24, 48?
17) Post a line from a WIP that you’re working on.
Ooh, okay - I feel like I’ve already posted most of the snippets for the next chapter of grace is just the measure of a fall already, but this is one I’m very fond of that hasn’t been up already:
"She told me I loved you, once. What kind of love is that, that you have to be told? Like it's something that exists outside of yourself?"
24) How do you feel about writing smutty scenes?
*checks all my fics* oh wow nope haven’t even made it as far as writing a single freaking kiss so far in anything I’ve posted... Which is the curse of writing ridiculously intense slow burn scenes incredibly slowly apparently? When you load all the intensity into the hand holding and the not-touching, it feels freaking exhausting to think about shifting it up a gear as well, idk.
Having said all that, the fics I have in progress but haven’t posted yet are quite likely going to end up with a higher rating because it fits them better (OKAY so the ghosts of wolves and passerines is definitely due to have a scene now I’ve gone canon-diversion and I’m kind of psyched for it? And then I’m gonna freak out entirely at the thought of posting it, because I am nothing if not predictable)
48) What’s your favourite trope to write?
I love reading tropes so so much but I find it really difficult to think about writing in terms of tropes? It’s the same reason I can’t write outlines or plot in advance, I can’t look outside the narrative for whatever I’m writing because I’m always trying desperately to convince my brain that the narrative is a real thing that’s growing organically. Obviously there are tropes there but I’m kind of scared to look at it any closer?
thanks for the asks!!

[Translation] Tsukino Empire - First Fleet「Genbu」
Here’s a continuation of my previous translation. From now on each fleet will be presented and, as usual, Six Gravity starts the list. I will add a mini masterlist at the end of each translation for an easier flow.
Special thanks to @clearui for helping me with proofreading. Don’t repost my translation.
Before starting, here is a translation note.
【STR】= Strength 【VIT】= Vitality 【DEX】= Dexterity, Technique 【INT】= Intelligence, Magic 【HP】= Endurance, Stamina 【MOFU】= Fluffiness  It was explained on the official twitter here

In order to match the military-type costumes, I have cut my hair after a long time… personally, this hairstyle has become a little nostalgic to me. The members are also saying various things as “I missed this” and “it’s been a while” and whatnot, but as I remember the original purpose, I think we can create a stage play filled with tension and impact. Please enjoy it until the end.
Story data
Spirit Beast: Kuro (Genbu1 and Kiryuu2 Type)  ※First Rank Affiliation: First Fleet (Kuro) ※Commandant 【STR】★★★★★★★ 【VIT】★★★★★★★ 【DEX】★★★★★★☆ 【INT】★★★★★★☆ 【HP】★★★★★★★ 【MOFU】★☆☆☆☆☆☆
The first young man in history to be compatible with The First Rank’s Head【Genbu】, who didn’t have a host until now. Despite the fact that he achieved astonishing numerical values breaking all the records, no official documents have been made public after the compatibility was discovered, and he himself keeps quiet about his origins, so there are many mysteries.
Because of Genbu’s compatibility, the four gods said to rule over the four directions were all present for the first time, which in  fact influenced the war situation on a grand scale. The time when the human race will counterattack is getting closer but… …

Welcome to the Empire Stage! This time there are stage outfits with a different direction from usual & I get to put on an eyepatch over contact lenses, so I am excited to wear such an unusual outfit (laughs). Based on the outward appearance, everyone told me that I looked like a traitor but… … Well, I wonder how that actually is. Please make sure to watch the stage until the end, okay?
Story data
Affiliation: First Fleet (Kuro) Spirit Beast: Aosa (Tori3 Type) ※Second Rank 【STR】★★★★★☆☆ 【VIT】★★★★☆☆☆ 【DEX】★★★★★★★ 【INT】★★★★★★★ 【HP】★★★★☆☆☆ 【MOFU】★★★☆☆☆☆
An outstanding young man who was recognized as a Second Rank host at the age of 12, and henceforth becoming a cadet, he maintained his position in the top. However, at one point, Mutsuki Hajime appeared out of nowhere and took over the first position, the two having a tense relationship for a while.
Albeit one day, the tension suddenly disappeared, and he accepted on his own free will to become aid and support for Hajime, who is easily misunderstood. Now their relationship evolved to the point of being treated as a set, but nobody knows what happened that day.
Incidentally, that was the day when he started to wear the eyepatch.
T/N: 鳥 型 (tori kata)3 = bird type

Uniforms are uniforms, but this time they’re military uniforms, and black too. It suits me, right? On the stage, I might be the third one to have the most action scenes out of all the performers, but I’ll do my best to be seen in a cool spot. P.S. Tama is cute~.
Story data
Affiliation: First Fleet (Kuro) Spirit Beast: Tama (Black Jaguar Type) 【STR】★★★★★★☆ 【VIT】★★★★☆☆☆ 【DEX】★★★☆☆☆☆ 【INT】★★★★☆☆☆ 【HP】★★★★★☆☆ 【MOFU】★★★★☆☆☆
Although he seems cool, he’s the ultimate self-paced type. On the other hand, he’s the type who gets things done when necessary. He has an unpredictable habit.
Possessing a divine animal instinct by far, he makes use of it at the maximum on the battlefield. Sometimes he is left out, but he doesn’t mind.
He’s Aoi’s childhood friend. Whenever he tries to study, he is tormented by a severe illness called “drowsiness attacks” (and mainly by his teacher in charge), but it is no exaggeration to say that he graduated the military school without problems with Aoi’s support.
Because there are many female troops, he comes in the headquarters frequently to play.

Hello! Welcome to Tsukipro Talent’s All Stars stage play! While I’m nervous to work for a stage play in a long while, the performers are the same age as me and our close friends, so rehearsals have been the most enjoyable so far (laughs). This time my character will be close to the position of navigator for everyone in the audience. Let’s follow this magnificent story together!
Story data
Affiliation: First Fleet (Kuro) Spirit Beast: Ruri4 (Tori Type) 【STR】★★★☆☆☆☆ 【VIT】★★★☆☆☆☆ 【DEX】★★★★★★☆ 【INT】★★★★★★☆ 【HP】★★☆☆☆☆☆ 【MOFU】★★★☆☆☆☆
A calm honour student with a firm character. Due to his naturally kind personality, he works well with anyone and he’s in charge with The First Fleet’s public relations and diplomat position. Apart from that, he’s participating actively in all the situations.
He is Arata’s childhood friend and capable partner. Even though he’s smiling bitterly at Arata’s self-paced behaviour, Aoi is proud to be reliable at the right time.
His parents died due to an accident during an experiment, but because he was raised with affection by his grandparents and older brother ever since, he wasn’t bothered by that. Incidentally, one of his parents’ family is a distinguished and distantly-related household to the imperial family.
His elder brother is also a host, but he left the front lines for the Medical Care Bureau where he’s in charge of spirit beasts. The brothers have a good relationship and there are many female troops who are curious to see them side-by-side.
T/N: 瑠璃 (Ruri)4 is Aoi’s spirit beast’s name, but the kanji itself has more meanings. It can mean “lapis lazuli” or some mall blue passerine birds like the blue-and-white flycatcher and the Siberian blue robin, but also the red-flanked bluetail
3. Shiwasu Kakeru & Kisaragi Koi
Shiwasu Kakeru

Cast comment
Welcome, to Tsukino Empire! I’m Shiwasu Kakeru, concerned about food even in such a fantasy setting. This stage play is military related, so wearing the black uniform makes me feel tense both physically and mentally. This costume fits me perfectly. If possible, I think I will deliver something different from the usual cool Shiwasu Kakeru. Please take care of me!
Story data
Affiliation: First Fleet (Kuro) Spirit Beast: Yezo (Squirrel Type) 【STR】★★★★★☆☆ 【VIT】★★☆☆☆☆☆ 【DEX】★★★★★☆☆ 【INT】★★★★☆☆☆ 【HP】★★☆☆☆☆☆ 【MOFU】★★★★★☆☆
An energetic young man in charge of operating the First Fleet. Contrary to his appearance which makes him look younger than his age, the fact that he can manage a large amount of information makes him look reliable.
His father is a member of the Supreme Council, with a family line, which is quite wealthy.
His spirit beast’s appearance (Yezo’s) certainly looks cute in general, but actually, it can get as big as four and a half tatami mats, thus taking naps on its belly seems to be pure bliss. And more than that, Yezo is, in fact, an offensive type. Taking advantage of its high flexibility during battles, he settles in the vanguard and finds many occasions to make breakthroughs.
Kisaragi Koi

Cast comment
Ta-dah! An empire! Military! Space Opera! As someone who loves this sort of manga and anime, it makes me, Kisaragi Koi, qui~te excited! The robo animation world is every man’s dream, isn’t it? I wonder how shall I deliver the amazing scene where we have to confront our allies onstage… ...I am also looking forward to it!
Story data
Affiliation: First Fleet (Kuro) Spirit Beast: Heart-kun (Inu5 type) 【STR】★★★★☆☆☆ 【VIT】★★★★☆☆☆ 【DEX】★★★★★☆☆ 【INT】★★☆☆☆☆☆ 【HP】★★★★☆☆☆ 【MOFU】★★★★★★★
The cheerful mood maker of The First Fleet, who loves fashion and chattering! Together with his spirit beast, Heart-kun, he’s the one to refresh the atmosphere onboard.
The origin of his spirit beast partner's name (Heart-kun) is its tail, which at one point splits into a heart shape. Cute and friendly as every inu-type, its popularity among women is very high and it received the impressive first place in the Spirit Beast Popularity Contest for hosting voluntary activities a few days ago.
His twin sister, Ai, is also a host belonging to The Fifth Fleet. Heart-kun resembles her spirit beast, Kokoro, though the black and white tints are inverted.
T/N: 犬 型 (inu kata)5 = dog type
