== Love Notes ==
Hey there lovelies! It's the weekend for a bunch of you! Huzzah! Hopefully this week wasn't too crazy for you and you're getting a chance to take a load off! Tonight I really just wanted to say thank you for all your kindness. Seriously. You all remind me every day that the world isn't a dreary place, but one filled with wonder, light, and good-intentioned people. Whether you're sending @ofmdlovelyletters to crewmates, or sharing artwork/fics, or making beautiful gifs, or sharing stills, sending a quick dm to check in on folks, or a comment with something kind, you are making the world so much more manageable. Sometimes when I'm having a bad day at work, even if I don't have time to interact much, I just come on and scroll through tumblr and see all of the things you all are up to, and I can feel the warmth radiating from all the wonderful things you're doing.
I can feel the love, even when it's not directed at me, that's how much love there is out there. It's like coming home to a warm fire and a soft rug to lay on and a blanket, and a cup of hot tea to warm the soul. You all make so many tiny waves each day, and those waves come back and go on to make other waves, and there's nothing more wonderful than someone being kind when they could have been harsh. You make the world a better place. You make this world worth living in, and fighting for, and full of hope.
So yeah.. I just wanted to say thank you lovelies, you truly have helped so many people through so many things you'll never ever be able to comprehend, and you do it with love. Thank you for being kind, and loving, and you <3 PS: This made me think of you all, thank you for being that reason for me and so many others <3

Saturday, June 22nd:
The festivities kick off at 10 AM with a parade starting at Nash's Supermarket and proceeding down the main street. Floats, performers, and community groups will fill the streets with music, dance, and rainbow flags.
After the parade, head to Lincoln Park for the Pride Festival. Local vendors and food trucks will line the park, offering a variety of cuisines and merchandise. Don't miss the live performances on the main stage, featuring local musicians and drag performers.
As dusk appears, join us at Soundwave for the official Pride After-Party. Dance the night away to pulsing beats and enjoy specially crafted rainbow cocktails.
Sunday, June 23rd:
Start your day with a refreshing Pride Yoga session at Fit & Toned, open to all skill levels.
Then, fuel up with a rainbow-themed coffee at The Cozy Cup, featuring colorful lattes and pastries.
For the music lovers, visit Vintage Records for a special Pride vinyl showcase, celebrating LGBTQ+ musicians through the decades.
Cinema will be hosting a Pride Film Festival, showcasing a selection of LGBTQ+ themed movies throughout the day.
As the weekend winds down, head on to Bella & Jenny's for a Pride Ice Cream Social, featuring special rainbow flavors and sundaes.

Everyone is encouraged to join the fun as it's an amateur tourney. All proceeds from tickets, player fees and merch will go to LGBTQ+ organizations and charities.

One of the primary reasons travelers in Wilmington, DE, gravitate towards professional airport transportation services is the unparalleled convenience they provide. Unlike the hassle of navigating public transportation schedules or struggling to find parking at the airport, airport transportation services offer a seamless experience from your doorstep to the terminal. Imagine stepping outside your home and finding a comfortable, clean vehicle waiting for you, ready to whisk you off to your flight without any delays. This level of convenience allows travelers to focus on what truly matters—preparing for their journey instead of worrying about logistics.
Moreover, professional airport transportation services operate around the clock, accommodating flights at all hours. Whether you're catching an early morning flight or returning late at night, you can rest assured that your transportation will be readily available. This flexibility is invaluable for business travelers with tight schedules or families navigating the complexities of travel with children. By choosing a dedicated airport transportation service, you remove the uncertainty and stress that often accompanies travel.
Safety and Reliability
Safety is a paramount consideration for any traveler, and airport transportation services in Wilmington, DE, prioritize this aspect above all else. All drivers are trained professionals who undergo rigorous background checks and safety training to ensure that passengers receive the highest level of security during their travels. When you book a ride, you can be confident that you are in the hands of a skilled driver who knows the best routes and is familiar with the local traffic patterns.
In addition to the assurance of safe driving, professional airport transportation services also maintain their vehicles to the highest standards. Regular inspections and maintenance ensure that each vehicle is in excellent condition, further enhancing the safety of your journey. Furthermore, many services offer tracking features that allow you to monitor your vehicle’s location in real-time, giving you peace of mind as you await your ride. This commitment to safety and reliability is a significant reason why travelers in Wilmington choose these services over other options.
Comfort and Luxury

While some may initially perceive airport transportation services as a luxury reserved for the affluent, the reality is that they can often be a cost-effective solution for travelers in Wilmington, DE. When you factor in the hidden costs associated with public transportation—such as parking fees, fuel costs, and the potential for missed flights due to delays—the value of a dedicated airport transportation service becomes increasingly apparent.
Many transportation services offer competitive pricing and even special packages for frequent travelers, making it easier to budget for your transportation needs. Additionally, when traveling in groups, the cost per person for private transportation can be surprisingly reasonable compared to purchasing multiple public transit tickets or paying for several parking spots at the airport. This affordability, coupled with the convenience and quality of service, positions airport transportation as an excellent option for those looking to make the most of their travel budget.
Local Knowledge and Expertise
Another compelling reason to choose airport transportation services in Wilmington, DE, is the local knowledge and expertise that professional drivers bring to the table. These drivers are often familiar with the city’s layout, traffic patterns, and the best routes to take at different times of the day. This insider knowledge can be invaluable, especially for those unfamiliar with the area, as it ensures a quicker and more efficient journey to the airport.
Moreover, drivers can offer insightful tips about local attractions, dining options, and accommodations, enhancing your travel experience beyond just getting to the airport. This personal touch adds significant value, allowing travelers to gain a deeper understanding of Wilmington and its offerings, which is particularly beneficial for first-time visitors or those on a business trip who may have some downtime to explore.
Environmentally Friendly Options
As sustainability becomes an increasingly important consideration for travelers, many airport transportation services in Wilmington, DE, have made strides toward offering environmentally friendly options. By utilizing hybrid or electric vehicles, these services help reduce the carbon footprint associated with travel. Choosing an eco-conscious transportation option not only benefits the environment but also aligns with the values of many modern travelers who prioritize sustainability in their choices.
Additionally, by opting for shared transportation services, travelers can further decrease their environmental impact. Carpooling with others heading to the same destination reduces the number of vehicles on the road, leading to less congestion and lower emissions. This commitment to sustainability is an essential factor for those looking to make more responsible travel decisions.
Conclusion
When it comes to airport transportation in Wilmington, DE, the advantages of choosing a professional service are clear. The unmatched convenience, commitment to safety, comfort, cost-effectiveness, local expertise, and environmentally friendly options all contribute to an exceptional travel experience that sets these services apart from traditional transportation methods. Whether you are a frequent flyer, a business traveler, or a family heading out on vacation, investing in airport transportation can transform your journey into a seamless, enjoyable experience. As you plan your next trip, consider the myriad benefits that come with choosing professional airport transportation services and make your travel experience one to remember.

Tropical Storm Ernesto is on its way to Puerto Rico. Here's where it might head next.
Tropical Storm Ernesto has developed in the Atlantic and is rapidly approaching the Caribbean and Puerto Rico, bringing heavy rainfall, gusty winds, and dangerous seas as the anticipated hyperactive hurricane season intensifies.
Climate and Average Weather Year Round in 19801 - Wilmington DE:
As of Monday evening, the storm's center was located a few hundred miles east of the eastern Caribbean’s Leeward Islands, with maximum winds around 40 mph, according to the National Hurricane Center. The storm was moving west-northwest at 28 mph.
Weather Forecast For 40467-Orland-Park-IL:
https://www.behance.net/gallery/201317101/Weather-Forecast-For-40467-Orland-Park-IL
This fast-moving system is expected to bring tropical storm conditions—potentially damaging winds and heavy rainfall—to the Leeward Islands late Monday or early Tuesday. These conditions will extend to the Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico by Tuesday evening.
Initial track forecasts indicate that Ernesto is unlikely to follow Debby’s path toward the continental US. Instead, Ernesto is expected to curve northward, intensify into a hurricane over very warm ocean waters, and possibly pose a threat to Bermuda.
Tropical storm warnings are in effect for Puerto Rico and the Leeward Islands, including the US and British Virgin Islands. These warnings indicate that tropical storm conditions are imminent. Tropical storms, with sustained winds up to 73 mph and stronger gusts, can cause structural damage, down trees, and disrupt power lines. Additional watches and warnings may be issued in the coming days.
The most significant threat this week appears to be heavy rainfall across parts of the eastern and northern Caribbean. Rain is expected to begin late Monday for some areas, with widespread rainfall totals of 4 to 6 inches and up to 10 inches possible in parts of Puerto Rico.
"Heavy rainfall may result in locally considerable flash flooding and mudslides," the National Hurricane Center warned on Monday.
Some of the heaviest rain is expected from late Monday through Wednesday over the Leeward Islands, with Puerto Rico likely experiencing the worst from Tuesday into Thursday.
Tropical storm-force winds will batter areas in the storm's path starting Tuesday, bringing dangerous seas and up to 3 feet of storm surge to many islands in the region.
The combination of heavy rain and strong winds could pose significant risks to Puerto Rico’s already vulnerable electrical infrastructure.
Ernesto is expected to gradually turn northward beginning Wednesday, steering the storm away from the Caribbean and into the open Atlantic. Once over open water, Ernesto is forecasted to strengthen into a hurricane.
youtube
How powerful Ernesto becomes will depend on the extremely warm ocean water and the intensity of upper-level winds that could disrupt the storm. There is potential for Ernesto to develop into a major hurricane, reaching Category 3 strength or higher by the end of the week.
Ernesto's path remains uncertain and could shift based on various factors, including the timing of its northward turn. A delayed turn could bring the storm closer to areas farther west, such as Hispaniola or the southern Bahamas.
By the weekend, Ernesto could be a powerful hurricane as it approaches Bermuda. However, it’s too early to determine exactly how close it will get to Bermuda or the extent of rain and wind it might bring.
Despite the uncertainty of Ernesto’s final track, the storm is expected to have wide-reaching effects later this week and into the weekend as it moves over the open Atlantic.
Ernesto will churn up seas hundreds of miles away, potentially creating dangerous rip currents along the US East Coast, the Bahamas, and parts of the Caribbean into early next week.

One of my favorite Substacks is The Retrologist by Ronaldo Pujol because he loves to travel the country and take in the weirdness that either used to exist or still continues to exist despite late-stage capitalism. While I’m fully aware that Arby’s is part of late-stage capitalism as a whole, I couldn’t help but be excited when I passed by this particular location in the northern suburbs of Wilmington, DE because it had not one, but two of the famed 10-gallon hat signs. Pujol has a whole library of posts dedicated to the ones that he’s found across the country, and I’m glad I finally got to see one of these for myself.
Did I park and take some photos even though it was a grey day and I couldn’t appreciate the neon at full display? You fucking bet I did.
