Interviewer: Kuumaa-band's Johannes, Jonttu and Aarni are still here present. Soon we'll take audience questions, but before that, Aarni, I've understood that you have largely designed this visual side of the band Kuumaa.

Aarni: Yes

Interviewer: So this overalls that is now is this by your design?

Aarni: It is designed by me

Interviewer: Okay, where does inspiration start and why this look?

Aarni: Well, with the overalls, we wanted to avoid last year 120 outfit crisis, so the overalls were an answer to that.

Interviewer: So to a show when you just pull on the same overalls and it's easy to wash and change.

Aarni: Always the same overalls. Yes.

Interviewer: How many shows do you perform in the same overalls?

Aarni: It is two to three before it needs to be washed.

Interviewer: Okay. After that it walks to you.

Interviewer: Understood. And a tough tour summer now too. I looked at your tour calendar- What was there? Parctically, on June 7th starts your summer tour and all the way to the end of August. You don't have any free weekends, there are of course weekdays there. 35 shows or something like that I must have counted. But you're experts at this. Last summer you did this same set.

Johannes: Well last summer we kind of told our booking agent that now go all out as much as you can, and we'll try if we can do it. And we can. So happily we're doing a new summer now.

Interviewer: We just went over that those cord conversations have been had, so what were you, Jonttu, planning on pulling next, somewhere around Mikkeli?

Jonttu: Maybe I'll have to pull some conversation cards or something along.

Interviewer: Conversation cards?

Jonttu: Yeah.

Interviewer: True. Hey, we've gotten a lot of audience questions. Finally we'll get some good questions to this interview. These have come in through our social media and I'll ask from you. Let's take the first one. Mikko has asked a question. This is probably one you've never answered before. From where did you get the name Kuumaa?

Johannes: The name Kuumaa comes from the midst of hundreds of name options and I fancied simply the tight form and this double meaning, the temperature and then these planets.

Interviewer: This double meaning has only gotten revealed to quite many here only a little later. What do you think of that?

Johannes: To us it's funny because it has been for longer quite obvious, that there- there all the way in the logo there is this kind of reading direction.

Interviewer: Yeah. And if I'm completely honest, then I've missed it. Yeah yeah. It took me really long to realize too the wordplay. But yeah. So that is the history, that there were a lot of options but that was the one that took. Do you want to say anything that was there in the... top 3? Almost ended up...

Johannes: Kärmes was one.

Jonttu: Yeah

Johannes: Maybe not so good.

Interviewer: Kärmes?

Johannes: Yes.

Jonttu: Yes. But we were really excited about it.

Johannes: Yeah. And now apparently there was on Spotify some artist called Kärmes, so-

Jonttu: We wish them...

Aarni: Good luck to Kärmes.

Interviewer: Well then, Ansku is asking, first of all with the reagrds that 'You're the best', that has there been any fights? So, Jonttu, has there been any fights?

Jonttu: Well- Just- What we talked about our conversation culture, so we try to open everything so, like, at an early enough stage—is early a word? Yes— that no conversation developes into a fight, or that no held back things rupture in a way that necessitates a fight. So maybe our latest fight was when I in Brussels ordered myself a hamburger and it surprised you in some way that you attacked.

*Johannes bursts into laughter*

Jonttu: That dude is out here eating some hamburger. That was our latest fight.

Interviewer: This story- This story we need. So what had happened?

Johannes: I don't even remember that, because, I assume, it wasn't a long-tempered case. But, like we just- so, we were up north for over two weeks on tour, and I was very proud of it that there were a couple times there was a situation where it almost boils over and we somehow, very maturely deconstructed it right away. Like 'Hey, I got a little bit upset because you looked at me like this *mimics facial expression* at the same time as I was looking at you like this *mimics a very different expression*'. Like those are like tiny nuances that we're deconstructing like as they come.

Interviewer: And Jonttu is careful with those hamburgers in the future.

Jonttu: Yes, exactly. What then is the right time to eat a hamburger? I don't know yet, but it surely- but it surely will get revealed here sometime.

Johannes: Maybe you didn't ask for premission for it or something.

Jonttu: Yeah. *Looks up an away from johannes* I'm so sorry.

Interviewer: Well then. Here comes the next question. Anita I think is this nametag. Do you want to sometime make collaboration songs with some other artist?

Johannes: Does Anita mean like feature?

Interviewer: I think yes, that could your song have in it, like, Gettomasa or, what- whoever.

Jonttu: Or Kärmes

Johannes: Or Kärmes!

Interviewer: Or Kärmes!

Johannes: Well- Like, that idea has, like, nothing wrong with it. Quite the opposite, it's like that collaborating is quite an inspiring thought. But we're asked a lot like 'When will you do a song with this and this and this and this?' And we've always answered that, well when from a sincere basis a song is made, that serves the, like, thing of each artist. That like the idea that we make a song and the grab artist X, like, for 8 bars for it, just so we could have a feature song, that hasn't felt inspiring. And on the flip side visiting on others' songs if the idea there is just to get two artists under the same title.

Interviewer: Yeah. Well then next weekend you have the ice hall show.

*Johannes blows a deep breath*

Interviewer: Sari here asks if you can reveal something about it already. Of course you've already done big shows and in the fall you have arena shows ahead and everything, but like the ice hall is the ice hall.

Johannes: Well, I can reveal that the preparations for no Kuumaa show has been anticipated* this much.

*Anticipated could be read as anxious, nervous or exciting depending on connotation. Here it is most likely a mix of the three, like 'made me as nervous/excited.'

Johannes: Our entire new album is getting perfomed there, like- which means that a horrible amount of new material in it's debut performance at once. It's- It has a first and a second act, that we can reveal. And an outfit change is coming up. What more? Let's reveal something.

Jonttu: Well, kind of, we're performing an unreleased song as well.

Johannes: That's true, yeah.

Interviewer: Kind of unreleased?

Jonttu: Kind of.

Interviewer: Alright. Okay one more question, Aino-Maria 5yo sent us on our facebook page that are there any all-ages shows coming up?

Johannes: Yes. Actually during the fall we're doing only 7 shows. They're like arenas. They're all all-ages. So Aino-Maria, you're welcome to come to all of them

Interviewer: They're also asking here if it'd be possible to get Johannes' autograph, so could we after the show arrange this and send it to Aino-Maria?

Johannes: Absolutely! Of course.

Interviewer: I think we might manage to get the rest of the guys' autographs as well. Big thank you that you could make it here! Do you have Karonkka up aheade?

Jonttu: Apparently.

Interviewer: But you don't know what's going on?

Johannes: No.

When they're hearing Cinhtya talking about myths and legends of Hisui to see if there is a semblance of truth, and Akari just goes "Oh, ye." And just, sent Palkia/Dialga, darkrai (Lord of nightmare?!!!), GIRATINA (the fu-) and plenty others?!

Yeah! They completed the pokedex and helped Laventon get the ball rolling in his research since everything got derailed thanks to a certain someone. I don't think they'd bring the legendaries back with them since like, they're literal gods who are worshipped. They captured them but they still do what they want, like showing up to work on the farm randomly or appearing to Kieran in dreams like they're the Virgin Mary descending to bestow a prophecy and its just Palkia or whoever wanting some attention. Kieran feels very bad for Giritina, and projects a bit on it like they did with Ogerpon, but I genuinely think Kieran is just a very empathetic kid.

The clans worship their specific pokemon like gods with carved figures in their homes that they make daily offering too. At some point Kieran makes one for Giritina and puts little hats on it when it gets cold and leaves berries and treats as an offering. Maybe the big baddie of the Distortion World is that way because nobody ever gave it a hug or tucked it into bed we dont know!

Kieran and Dawn in the future: maybe the real gods of creation are the friends we made along the way

I think there'd be pockets of people descended from the clans in modern Sinnoh who still worship Palkia or Dialga in their homes. Cynthia's family grew up with the church of arceus (and we all know why) but she loves theology and has so many questions because surely that one photo of the Big Three frolicing on a farm is some Ancient Alien level hoax and Kieran is just like: on no they just really like soybeans. I think they were competing to see whose plot got the highest yield.

Diamond and Pearl still happened so Dawn has current "ownership" of the Sinnoh legendaries but they have zero sense of time on a human scale so they'd be stoked to see their buddy Akari again but. But like, morally and ethically can you bring god to a pokemon battle? They'd probably enjoy battling for fun on the occasion but they're not normal pokemon and can't be treated as such. Im my mind there's a parctice of every generation or so since pokeballs became a thing, someone has to catch whichever legendary to keep it safe from your average nutjob drying to take over the world. Pokeballs are technology they're not forever and after a while they degrade and stop functioning. Or at least in my mind that's how it works. It would likely make sense to like. Just bury a legendary's pokeball somewhere and let it live its best life while there's ensurance for like 30 years some rando can't catch it.

Sorry this went on a tangent about my thoughts on religion in the pokemon world, but I see the Legendaries as being too Other and beyond our understanding to stick around on someone's team. I consider the various protagonists who catch them have gained their favor so they will pop in during their lifetime to visit because humans and pokemon need eachother to get stronger. Legendaries imo are just different in that they need exposure to that humanity to keep them grounded and present mentally. They have PHENOMENAL COSMIC POWERS, but itty bitty understanding of humanity, or like, the pokemon equivalent of it.

So yea Kieran doesnt bring any legendaries back with them but they'll still ask to see them occasionally to see if they're doing ok.

Headcanon that is not a headcanon but a canon in my mind because there's not a universe but an entire multiverse with a lot of weird things there in my brain:

Cybertronian lived in neighbourhoods named colonies and each colony had their own traditions and ways to see the world.

They didn't have parents but tutors, who teach them about their position in the world, but they can grow like humans, it's just a little different, especially due to prohibitions into making childs (its not weird, i promise).

Heatwave is the second older bot and is from the Salty colony, that was a mine colony, his tutor was single and an electrician named Heatwave too, his older brother Sunset was also electrician and his lil sibling, Summer was going into that too, Heatwave became rescue bot when his tutor died (you remember in IDW Megatron's spotlight? That day it was) at the time he was a decepticon he was a rescue bot because he really wanted to do something about Cybertron, he was into 3 teams before becoming Sigma 17's leader, Port was his fist leader and best friend who tought him the parctical part, they were crazy and rude but caring, then there was Box, an asshole and idiot and Heatwave's words but he tought him how to be brave and strong, and finally Mecha, as sweet as a candy but who could not say a thing without swear to someone, she taught him to be caring and responsible, and then he become Sigma 17 leader, reunited with Chase, his academy comrade and Boulder and Blades, new ones. Summer is still alive, the rest of his old family didn't made it.

Chase is the third older bot and was from Steelhand colony, caracterized for their white and silver colors, they were the elite in military operations in Cybertron, lot of the bots in higher states of the military and police jerarchy had the Steelhand on their names, he was the medium child of three, Scout, an older brother who died as a soldier and a younger sister, Tidy, who wanted to be a med bot, his tutors, married, Mural and Carcase, a little strict but loving and caring who never knew about Chase's autism but never treat him like if he was less, he became first a police and then a detective when he discovered his "grandma's" corruption, Stardust was Mural tutor and was strict as hell, careless and always hated Chase's way of act, trying to change it even. Chase met Heatwave at academy and then they're become rescue bots. Stardust was the only one who is left, the rest didn't made it.

Boulder is the oldest of the group, had two families, the first one that don't admit that existed and the second one who loved as much as they love nature now, the Clover colony: Gear and Fortress, married, he was an engineer, she was a high ranked in military such as Stardust, even meeting her, that's how Chase and Boulder met but became friends when they decided to be rescue bot. Boulder at first was really not into having a younger sister, Daydream, but then they started to loving her, even if she was a little coward about everything. At the end of the day, Boulder decided to be an engineer like Gear, and follow him till his dead. Fortress and Daydream made it.

Blades is the youngest of the team, a med bot from the Butterfly colony, his moms, Rockhead, a med bot with a hard relationship with her tutor, Stardust, and Crystal, a designer and sculptor who run away from Clover colony to be with an ex Steelhand, they were really loving and caring about Blades, and the rest of the colony too, they all were his family without hesitate, the uncle Trip, the auntie Stella, Cloud and Bluey, Skyfell, Windblade who just lived for a while there, Knockout who knew was special for Blades but go away in a blink, En-field, Saprine, Solar, they were a lot and they were loving and united as no other colony, that's why Blades wanred to be a med bot an a rescuer. Skyfell, Windblade, Bluey and Knockout were the only ones who made it out of Cybertron, the rest are all dead.

Salvage and Blurr were from Red Guard, a colony for bots without colonies back in Velocitron, Quickshadow was from Passenger Colony but no one is remain except her and her brother who is dissapered, Hightide never had a colony and Sissi (at my profile) literally lived on that energon refinery, so maybe her colony is Dome, the name of the refinery.

From now on this kind of shit will be at the #Life of Resce bots AU, this is the first so don't expect much right now. Bye😎✌️

hi, i'd like your thouhts on something please. i was confused by klaus's "sole of the feet" comment in ep1 of season 4 so i googled it and found out it's a meditation practice. specifically, it's a parctice for "controlling the urge to be physically or verbally aggressive", and apparently taught to children with control issues.

very interesting, especially after the whole conversation between klaus and stanley in season 3. but it's kind of weird to have this be the practice he references in this particular situation? i would have expected something to help with anxiety, not with aggression...

That said,

Klaus's hardships always seem to at least partially be the brunt of jokes, and I think the line was (again at least partially) humor about how someone in the modern world (who CAN die) has to show the restraint not to kill other people who are rude abnd gross and reckless and germy (especially from a hypochondriac's perspective...although don't get me started on the "germaphobe" thing....).

I think it's always wise to assume that Klaus is an unreliable narrator, and has an unrealistically negative perception of himself. Yes, he is flawed, but his "fuckin' Mariana Trench" sense of self-worth takes it to an extreme, and therefore sees ANY real potential bad behavior on his part as a logical supposition: OR prediction. Everything from self-deprecating jokes about being "sexy trash" when called upon to be courageous (even though he indeed was, subsequently, courageous), to his belief that he only has value through the lens of his abusive father's expectations (bus ball, even when he recognizes that Reginald is a "terrible father!!!!", need I say more?), to his belief that Dave Katz was the ONLY person he'd ever "loved more than himself" (despite every single piece of evidence to the contrary, when it comes to his family, even during the times they aren't doing a great job reciprocating), proves this. So anything Klaus says or does in response to the kind of person HE thinks he is, has to be viewed from that perspective.

As the audience, we're meant to pity and sympathize with him, and feel the pathos of wanting him to be kinder to himself. But fans bring their own baggage to the screen, and they sometimes only relate to Klaus at rock-bottom (and that's fine, if it's cathartic for them, it's entirely valid) so they tend to accept his negative self-view as objectively true: as fact. It's comforting to see your struggles represented in a proxy fictional self (especially if you the viewer are ALSO too hard on your own self-image), and sometimes that means fanon is going to reflect a different Klaus than canon intended: a Klaus who really might lash out in violence after years of unresolved or even exacerbated trauma (this is not what I think you're doing, by the way, but the prevalence of fanon about a Klaus who never gets clean and is clownishly pathetic is certainly fed by scenes like the one you're asking about, and sometimes I think that's the writers placating fanon, which...IIII don't think is ever a good idea, but I digress).

What could have made Klaus, who is avoidant and passive to a fault, and on the positive side, gentle and nonjudgmental, believe he could ever be capable of physical violence toward another person? He's just been robbed of his powers. He has a complicated relationship with them, because they gave him a form of invincibility, but also opened him up to be exploited. Suddenly the world is terrifying, but also, he is released of the torment of ghosts everywhere and the BOUNDARIES between life and afterlife being blurred. Therefore, maintaining BOUNDARIES is crucial to Klaus, even if they might seem unnecessary. Harming someone else would trap him back in a cycle of self and other harm, guilt and debt. It's worth noting that this ties in with the AA 12 step program, in settling debts and claiming accountability, and we know from a deleted scene that Klaus wants to avoid more than one fall off the wagon in s4. And honestly, self-control isn't solely meant to avoid aggression to others.

What about how this has been brought up before, with Stan, in the white buffalo room, in s3 (lol sounds like I'm playing Clue)? See above. I posted from a clinical perspective about why Klaus wouldn't have Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD), but rather unmedicated ADHD and C-PTSD, which demonstrate similar patterns of "acting-out" behavior, but for VERY different reasons. I'll look for that post in a bit, it's a couple years old. Yes, stealing, sneaking out, and lighting shit on fire are typical ODD behaviors, but a) this particular class of developmental disorders is controversial for a number of valid reasons, and b) kids with buckets of severe ongoing trauma tied inextricably to where they live and who is raising them are also gonna light shit their abusers own on fire, sneak out, and steal things for the drugs that help them endure something otherwise unendurable.
