Hi Kaiju King, I knew you from UHC and liked your work! Now that Im here I wanted to ask you some things on MH and in general:
-Are you a biologist, studying or just a dedicated fan?
-What is your favorite monster?
-What do you think of some popular phylogenetic headcanons on MH like Fanged Wyverns being synapsids, Flying Wyverns being Scansoryopterygids, Banba, Duram and Kestodon and Gastodon being Pachycephalosaurids, Khezu, Gigginox, Paria and Pukei being Amphibians and Paolumu being a mammal?
-Do you like Avocados?
-And do you draw? If you do, I would like to see your work
Have a great day/night and hoping you get some more recognition 🫡
Hello there! I’m happy to answer.
- I’m not actually a biologist, I just really like biology and try and soak up anything new related to it I can find. That’s why I call myself an amateur biologist, I’m not really an authority figure and don’t have a degree. I did try to go to college to become one though, but I went when Covid hit so it didn’t work out.
- It’s kinda hard to really say what my favorite monster is because there’s a lot of things I like across many different monsters. The ones I can say are my favorites with confidence are Deviljho, Anjanath, Glavenus, Tigrex, the Raths (design wise in 5th gen), and Magnamalo (in an ironic way).
- I’m aware of some of these phylogenetic theories. I ascribe to the synapsid fanged wyvern theory for the most part myself, and with the exception of Tobi-Kadachi I think they’re all various synapsids.
Scansoriopterygid flying wyverns is a theory I used to ascribe to as well but eventually disagreed with and began to think that they and bird wyverns arose from a sister group to dromeosaurs/troodontids/aves. I actually talked about my current proposal for how that would work out in two recent posts. Another reason for that though is because I want to headcanon them as paraves, which are tied with tyrannosaurs for my favorite dinosaur family, and some recent studies propose that Scansoriopterygids might be oviraptorsaurs instead.
The various herbivorous brute wyverns being Pachyrhinosaurs is actually new to me, and I can see them being marginocephalians of some kind but maybe not pachys specifically. The herbivorous brutes have flexible tails, and pachycephalosaurs don’t because of their caudal basket. The caudal basket is basically a series of overlapping ossified tendons in the tails of pachycephalosaurs that made them very rigid. I personally have them and uragaan/radobaan as heterodontosaurs due to their diet and tusks.
Paolumu as a mammal I’ve seen float around, same with the cave wyverns being amphibians. Paria as an amphibian is new to me. Pukei as an amphibian seems pretty unlikely to me just because of the feathers, but it being related to the cave wyverns I have seen and I ascribe to it as well. My own idea is that the cave wyverns, paolumu, and pukei are a group of paravian flying wyverns that ancestrally were brood parasites with a cloaca on their tail tip to make it easier to brood parasitize and had a more muscular face and inflatable neck sacks connected to their avian respiratory system. Pukei lost the neck sacks and muscular face while paolumu lost the brood parasitism, and the cave wyverns went all in on all three (and the neck sacks are how they extend their necks).
- I don’t really like avocados that much. I’m a picky eater because of my Anosmia.
- I make a lot of art! Aside from the bones and diagrams I make for UHC’s videos I make my own original art as well (he talks about it in the end segments in his videos). I post my art here, so if you’re looking for anything just scroll down or click any tags you want to look for on my blog.
Have a good day too and thank you!

“Paraventi: Folding Screens from the 17th to 21st Centuries” at Fondazione Prada, Milan October 26, 2023–February 26, 2024
The Milan exhibition explores the histories and semantics of these objects by tracing trajectories of cross-pollination between East and West, processes of hybridization between different art forms and functions, collaborative relationships between designers and artists, and the emergence of newly created works. The folding screens embody liminality and the idea of being on the threshold of two conditions, literally and metaphorically. They cross barriers between different disciplines, cultures, and worlds.
As explained by Nicholas Cullinan, “Painting or sculpture? Art or furniture? Utilitarian or ornamental? Decorative, functional, architectural, or theatrical? This innovative exhibition examines the many questions and paradoxes surrounding the unfolding history of the paravent. This history of the folding screen is one of cultural migration (from East to West), hybridization (between both different art forms and functions) and of what is concealed and revealed. As we shall explore, this history, and especially the way it manifests in the present, is one of liminal objects and of liminality itself; in the process collapsing the rigid distinctions and hierarchies between the different disciplines of art and architecture, decoration, and design.”

I have realized I've said my Narrators heights, though hearing how tall they are and seeing the height difference is two different things, so, I decided, to introduce the boys to their new littlest brother, I'd make it a drawing!
Adwin: 7 feet tall
Mr. Shade: 5'5"
Curtis: 8 inches
Parvator: 1cm
1cm is the actual height of sea bunnies, so, that's how big Paravator is.
Here's what I think would play out with them meeting Parvator:
Me: "Meet your new brother!"
Mr. Shade: "Do they usually make this many Narrator designs?"
Adwin: "You don't even know of the originals Short stack"
Mr. Shade: "Originals?"
(Adwin just walks away, not answering)
Curtis with Parvator in his hands: :D <3
Adwin: "And here I thought you would start making more normal sized Narrators again since you made Short stack here"
Mr. Shade: "So you do admit that I'm more normal of a height then you, huh?"
Adwin: "You're still short"
Mr. Shade: "of course."
Adwin: "But as I was saying, before I was rudely interrupted! (Adwin glares at Mr. Shade) I thought you were going to make normal height Narrators and here you are with a SMALLER little shit!"
So that's how I think that would play out XD

Naayéé’at’a (a Dinosaur with wings in Navajo word) Dineobellator notohesperus, wondering through woodlands of northwestern New Mexico. And yes, this is a redrawn version of 2020’s “The Warrior people of the Southwest” which is originally formed as velociraptorinae, but last year’s recent studied to reveal as more basal eudromaeosaur than a velociraptorinae. Which is why I need to drawn this specie with few skeletal pieces, while the latter is also full on based deinonychus skeletal designs (belongs to both Scott Hartman and GetAwayTrike) since this is another only basal species of eudromaeosaur, not ether dromaeosaurinae or velociraptorinae. #dineobellator #dineobellatornotohesperus #eudromaeosauria #dromaeosauridae #paraves #maniraptora #theropoda #dinosauria #feathereddinosaur #navajo #sketchbookapp #myart #paleoart https://www.instagram.com/p/CnxmZO1L5G8/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Let me let your hair down
(Mizu x Black Reader)
"Please Mizu" She whispered softly her accent thicker comfortable in the room with the only other that understands her, staring at Mizu's form through the paravent her eyes easily ignoring the ornate designs painstakingly made for the simple form of the one secret she got to keep to herself. "No" Mizu's tone was dead and set in stone as always.
(Y/N) rolled her eyes at that but felt her irritation simmer down as she saw the beautiful woman emerge in a long stiff dress form tight and loose where the designer had chosen and her chest showing more than Mizu was comfortable with.
"I wear this dress. This is enough" Mizu's English still felt stilted as she learnt from those she could but around (Y/N) she didn't worry too much about her mistakes.
"If you really wish to find and seduce this man hair down could help-" As Mizu sat (Y/N) ran her fingers through the long straight strands reminding herself of when she herself had such luxury to play with her own. "-and I believe you will look beautiful with it" she finished kissing Mizu's exposed collar bone.
"No hair up" Mizu closed her eyes fighting a small shiver at (Y/N)'s small gesture. (Y/N) smiled knowing Mizu returned her affection in her own way. She grabbed a brush scowling subtly at the texture before combing through the hair and laying it around her arm to figure out how to style it if she couldn't get her way.
"Down, leave it down" Mizu whispered looking at (Y/N) through the mirror she smiled the tiniest bit knowing the happiness it would bring (Y/N).
"You know..." (Y/N) began "When I grew up my hair was beautiful nothing like yours-" she paused grabbing some oils to softly run through the hair and bring it a shine. "- I liked to let it grow as large as I could I'd only cut it when a curl got out of place and my Maame would braid it till it could reach my bottom" she laughed at the memory "and then... when I came here they cut it told me they were protecting me gave me these wigs instead" she looked to the five or so wigs either laying on tables or on a mannequin to be restyled.
Mizu led her hand up to hold (Y/N)'s knowing the memories were difficult before letting (Y/N) continue her work.
"Someday. Someday it'll grow back" she gently tapped Mizu to stand happy with the long oiled hair that hung behind her like a cape her lord would hear but instead of coloured with gold and gems it was a simple beautiful black ebony silk darker than even hers hanging pin straight down her back like it followed her mission to be serious and dead straight to the point.
As Mizu stood and looked to (Y/N) she gently ran her hands over the scalp small coiled curls emerging before pulling her into a kiss hands still gently running over the soft curls before parting.
"Soon we leave".

Marion Tabard Read the full article

Luxury Luggage Recommendations
TL;DR: I bought the Rimowa original aluminium. Its iconic for a reason.
I travel a lot for work so I needed a suitcase that will look nice and hold up well. I only looked at more premium brands for this reason.
Everything below has TSA approved locks and 4 spinning wheels, which were a non-negotiable for me. They are all carry on sized. I haven't done much research on checked bags as I almost never use them.
First question is: do you want aluminium or polycarbonate?
If you want an aluminium suitcase, you’ve basically got two options in the (mass market) luxury market: Tumi or Rimowa. The best aluminium suitcases close with hinges and clasps and do not have an external zipper. This makes them more robust but it means you can’t overpack and just shove it all in; there is nothing that will yield or stretch and the two halves have to line up correctly to close. They’re also expensive (£/€ 1000+). And heavy. But it may very well be the last suitcase you ever need to buy.
There are a lot more polycarbonate options on the market and they exist at every price point. You can also cram more stuff in a polycarbonate suitcase as the shell and zipper will give a bit; these work well for people who like the “sit on it until it closes” method. 😂 They are lighter, so better if you travel on airlines who are strict on weight. If you are an unapologetic overpacker, buy a polycarbonate suitcase.
Aluminium
Rimowa has two (main) options for aluminium suitcases: original (on the left, below) or classic (on the right). (Side note, who picked these names and why are they not more different?!) The classic is a more vintage look while the original is a more modern and updated version. Main differences are the handles and clasps. Both are more durable (and better designed, IMO) on the original. They are almost the same price and the inside structure is basically the same. Unless you really like the vintage look, the original is a better product. The inside of these suitcases are the same on both sides and don’t have a “zipper” side and an “open” side like most suitcases. They have compression dividers. I use packing cubes so I don’t mind but if you have a lot of small things floating around your suitcase this setup probably won’t work for you. They offer a lifetime warranty for all suitcases purchased after 2022 and have a global network of repair centres/providers.
Tumi makes a similar aluminium suitcase called the “19 degree aluminium”. It’s got similar snap back handles and clasps but the front design has a wavy sort of pattern. Inside is completely different from the Rimowa, it’s got zipper closed compartments on both sides so nothing can fall out when you open your suitcase. If you don’t subscribe to parking cubes or “bags in bags”, this may be a better suitcase for you. Ultimately, I think this is an easier to use suitcase than Rimowa, but the warranty is only five years, which is laughable on a premium suitcase. They make an expandable option of this, but I feel like the fabric expander and zipper negate the structural integrity of an aluminium suitcase so don't really see the point. Go for the Rimowa unless you hate its inside layout.
Polycarbonate
If you want a suitcase that looks like a million bucks but is actually pretty reasonable: Paravel or Carl Friedrik. Both make beautiful polycarbonate and leather suitcases for about £400 (carry on).
Carl Friedrik has a small suitcase called "the carry on" (does what it says!). Its modern and a little masculine. Like good tailoring. The interior is a bit weird though: one side is a compression divider (like Rimowa) and the other is open. But I believe you can put the compression divider on either side, which is nice. You’ll need to use packing cubes or smaller bags to contain stuff. I did like that it uses clasps to close instead of a zipper as I feel like they’ll last longer. But consider if the inside arrangement will work for you. Lifetime warranty!
Paravel's Aviator is a similar case but with a bit softer edges for a more feminine look. (They also sell them at Selfridges if you don't want to wait for shipping from the US.) This one closes with a zipper. The inside is more traditional: a big zipper compartment on the top and a compression divider on the bottom. Best of both worlds! This would be a good choice if you’re trying to maximise what you can get in a carry on: the plastic and zipper closure make it a bit more forgiving and the zipped top section lets you tuck small bits in whenever they fit instead of having to use packing cubes or bags. Ten year warranty but you'll probably have to ship it to the USA.
Slightly more expensive polycarbonate options would be:
Rimowa's Essential (on left, below). Closes with a zipper, inside is like the Paravel (one compression size and one zipped side). Comes in a ton of colours, but they’re mostly pretty muted. Blues, greens, neutrals. About £700. They also have a “lite” version for about £150 less; if you want a super lightweight suitcase, it’s the best (right). Light on features but that’s how they keep it light on weight. 😂 Both of these have a lifetime warranty.
If you need an expandable suitcase: Tumi 19 Degree Polycarbonate. Really similar to the aluminium version above, but cheaper (£600-700) and closes with a zipper. It also has an expandable portion! Good if you like to shop while on holiday (but you’ll have to check it if the expanded section is open). Comes in a bunch of colours, including some a pretty pink or blue. Again, only a five year warranty though. If you don't need the expansion section, go with one of the other options above.

New Paravian flying wyvern ancestor design
its been quite a while since i've done some monster hunter stuff so i wanted to do something related to it and i decided to revist my parave wyvern design i made like almost 7 months ago and i really didnt like how it looked so i decided to redesign it!
it is based of @iamthekaijuking's theory on every flying/bird wyverns being descendant from a small paravian dinosaur that evolved more flexible hands to climb and burrow aswell as growing pseudo fingers for wings!
mine has 2 more pseudofingers on each hands one for the wing and one for an opposable thumb as i thought it would look neat aswell as making my creature being able to climb and dig better aswell as interacting with the environment as it was my idea i had when i first made this little fella!

So if Capcom emailed you to design three new monsters for a new monster hunter game what type of monster would you make and what would they be like?
I mean just saying “make anything you want” would kinda put me on the spot. They’d need to present certain guidelines for what they want, and I’m always the most innovative under restrictions.
That said if I did get free reign then here’s three
One would be an endemic life flagship that’s basically my hypothesized parave flying wyvern ancestor or even bird and flying wyvern ancestor.
Another would be a very high tier herbivore monster, like elder dragon level danger.
I’m stumped for what I’d do for a third one but maybe a macroraptorial sperm whale? Whales exist in monhun and they’re referred to as arluq.
In all honesty though I’d probably just make endemic life.
I’d also strangle whoever is designing the wings of birds in these games
