Dyuragaua skull made with parave anatomy

i may not have the model of dyuragaua yet but atleast i got some nice game images to get a good idea to draw his head!

I absolutely love Dyuragaua hes one of my favorite frontier monsters his design is silly yet awesome looking and i enjoy his fight! Hes better than Mi-Ru (even tho i said before i like him out of irony)

pretty much the og tigrex concept. if you didn’t know, tigrex was originally gonna be able to freeze itself in ice armor before that was scrapped entirely.

and imma be real this is a much more enjoyable standard tigrex. yeah i said it.

big, bulky, but doesn’t roar a billion times per second. frostbite’s an interesting status ailment that would be neat to see in future entries. it’s really cool. design-wise it isn’t the best but the fight is great. don’t have a lot to say because it’s again just tigrex but better.

Yearly check-up on Frostfang “Mason”

Meet Mason; a Frostfang Barioth - a “Varient” of Barioth which I’m not sure counts as a variant at all.

At most, Frostfang Barioths are old, really, really old.

These are wyverns that have lived long passed the usual lifespan of their kin, and are often the wisest and most powerful of their species. Even when their original fangs fall out due to old age; their mastery over ice means they simply replace them with their signature element. They simply just keep going no matter what because they’re strong enough to do so.

But Mason here is an outlier for two reasons. Not only is he a male Frostfang Barioth beyond the age of being able to sire young - but in that he “adopts” orphaned cubs and whelps of certain monsters to raise as if they were his own.

We like Mason.

Despite not being able to nurse cubs so his charges tend to be of a weening age at youngest, Mason is a very protective and diligent parent. He easily is capable of looking after several cubs at a time and not just of his own species, and hunts regularly to provide for them all.

It has been recorded that alongside his current Goss Harag charge this particular Barioth has adopted: Blango Dyuragaua Nono Orugaron Kamu Orugaron Giaorugu Lagombi 

He also sometimes recieves orphaned ice monsters from rescuers such as myself; as while it’s all fine and dandy that people can rehabilitate monsters for wild release - Mason is preferred due to the lack of human/wyverian interference.

It is astounding to find such a creature in the world, and Masons’ efforts to raise all sorts of monsters is something I find most facinating. With added backing from the Guild, Mason is gilded as a “Honorary Rescuer and Ice Patron of Monsters”; meaning he is protected by the Guild and thus his location is never disclosed and those who wander too close are often apprehended by Hunters and Rangers.

He’s a wonderful specimen, and I hope he still has many years left in him.

Monster: Dyuragaua because it's body is like a puzzle, one limb has a different weakness to an element than another. And GPS's remind me of puzzles and mapping. Mi-Ru is a tough one to make given its weird skull proportions are pretty fucked up looking but then again hes a shapeshifting bastard so i guess theres that, the ears i think the "ears" are large crests a bit like Tigrex and Mi-ru's relative Dyuragaua, i wont bother to make skulls of his other forms i dont have the models for that i just have the model of his base form, Mi-Ru's thick and robust teeth suggest he kills armored prey but given that it lives in the tower its possible that it hunted the metal piscine wyverns Aruganosu and Goruganosu but im still unsure of his ecology as i believe that Mi-Ru is a genetically modified organism possibly an extinct relative of dyuragaua and would kind of make sense as to why he can shapeshift and why he can grow crystals on his body.

as for my thoughts on Mi-Ru i cant help but to ironically love him, no where near in my list of favorite monsters or even list of favorite frontier monsters but its certainly far from my least favorites, the design is cool im a slut for mammalian looking reptiles and i love his speed and final form as they look awesome, i also enjoyed fighting him in frontier and his fucking theme is just incredible definitly in my list of favorite monster hunter themes ever!

Do you have any monhun theories you want to share?

Also did you get all those anatomy refs I submitted?

i do have some theories but i didnt want to share them cause they are either dumb or downright non sensical but i guess il share them to you!

Eruzerion and kulve taroth are zinogre relatives. I thought of this before when analyzing their models and have very few traits that seems like are from archosaurs but i was quite unsure about it given how weirdly detailed they are and it doesnt help that eruzerion is low poly with low quality textures and i couldnt know how to explain it, although i still think zinny could be a synapsid and Eru and Kulve being wingless elders.

Mi.Ru must have been given some sort of crystal bacteria through its gens so that it would develope something in its body that would make it have the ability to grow crystals on its body, this theory was not one i had given much thoughts on it i was a complete dumbass to think of that so i wanted to forget about it and to this day i still cant have a good theory on Mi.Ru's crystals tho its possible its modified from its ancestor's refrigeration system since Dyuragaua can produce frost.

(Last one) Pukei is an asexual species. This one was just a random theory when it comes to how reproduction in the cave wyverns znd pukei works due to their cloacas at their tails but i cant really say much about it.

These are all of my theories and sorry if your confused on some of them (and possibly made your brain rot) but thats all of them!
