Ah Origami King! I've been interested in getting this game for a while I think after I beat Thousand Year Door I'll probably get it!... with a switch voucher which I must just say those things are SO nice I got Brothership and TTYD for the price of like 1 and a half that way not sure what I'd get with it though... maybe Metroid Prime 4 it'll probably be out by the time I get one yknow Prime Remastered isnt even avaliable for it I would've totally got Prime Remastered with my second one if I could

had an idea for paper mario that people probably already made previously in the past at some point, BUT

what if they did a new game where mario gets a rival character that shows up for just about every chapter for the story, and it's not just some one-off or joke character, but one that's an equal?

like, some new oc character to distinguish them from bowser or past rivals (wario, waluigi, spike), but also, someone that isn't necessarily a villain too, because that can be the big bad threat

and then you go around the game, collecting helpers and star bits or usual magical stuff, but then SO DOES THE RIVAL

maybe make those things related in some way, like your new goomba bff had a sibling that, oops, ends up with rival oc

and you basically get a scenario with doopliss but without body snatching and lasting for the game

(a silent voice reference too..)
