Hi moon!! Hope your having a great day today<3 just a random thing that popped up in my mind but what if Armin and Annie got separated for 8 years, like what i mean is Armin has to go back to Paradis cause the government didn't want an eldian to stay in marley and in order for Armin to visit is to complete something since he is a commander from paradis right?? And it causes for their children to seperate, i imagine it like their two children youngest is 5 and oldest is 8 and they also have to seperate. One child goes to Armin and one goes to Annie smth like that and they reunite again after 8 yrs😭 and their all grown up or something uhueuee
Ooooooh hello anon!
Hmmm, I have two reasons for this scenario taking place and both are... unfortunately angsty. 🙃 The first? They "break-up" for some reason and nobody can know. The public can't know about it. Daughter goes with Papamin, son stays with Mamannie, and in the newspapers, it's only a diplomatic visit that separates the two and their children. For the sake of formality, they exchange phone calls, once in a while, and each time, they speak carefully, skirting anything close to the heart, all the while controlling the urge to just blurt "I miss you. Can't we go back to how we were before?"
Before they know it, it's been 8 years and neither really knows the other anymore. Least of all, son and daughter don't know each other, and to Aruani, it's a bottomless well of regret and sadness that so much time has passed without witnessing them growing up.
The second one... is more thrilling! Armin goes to Paradis taking his son along, but it's only meant to be a temporary visit! Three months and not a day more, but then-! The day before the two are due to board their ship home, they're held back by the Jaegerists! Cue a lot of political tension and a high-stakes game of chess that Armin & Historia play with the Jaegerists in order to win this war of intelligence.
Only... it takes too long. Far too long with only conversations over the phone back home - and those are monitored too, so Armin can never really say anything sensitive.
Until one day, Annie decides, enough. She's going to go to Paradis, and bring her husband and son HOME. Cue! Annie and her daughter set out on a secret spy expedition to rescue the two damsel boys in distress!
I think this would be crazy fun actually xD

This is so healing. I want to cry. 😭 papamin is probably one of my favorite genres of Nanami fics, to be fair, and this is perfect. Wish we had more Nanami & students moments in canon just like this
sir please marry me and father my children
To you, young sorcerer
Happy Father's Day to all the Dads, including anime Dads. And Nanami Kento, of course.
Nobara hated this. For most other girls, it was a natural process, a part of life to be embraced, an inconvenience you groaned about to your girlfriends as you rummaged through your bag for a tampon. For her, it interfered with training. It might even be a hindrance on missions, where she might not be in the best physical condition, where every little ache and pain her body inflicted upon her could mean the difference between life and death.
Gritting her teeth, she made her way into the hallway of the main building of Jujutsu Tech, taking a shortcut to the student dormitories, even if it meant tracking mud and debris from her training session with Panda all across the pristine wooden floors. Her abdomen had been plagued with discomfort all afternoon, and now, after that particularly rigorous regimen Panda had put her through, the cramps were returning with a vengeance.
Even worse, another side effect, one she detested the most, was making itself known. Frustration, anger, resentment against her own body for failing her in this way, were all boiling up inside her in a way that made her throat tight and her eyes sting.
One hand on her belly, squinting slightly as another wave of pain assailed her, Nobara shuffled through the hallway, hellbent on reaching her room where a nice hot shower, some painkillers and the soft embrace of her blankets awaited her.
There were voices behind her now. It sounded as if Yuuji and Inumaki had completed their own session and were returning to the dorms as well. Nobara could hear Yuuji enthusiastically outlining his new method of deflecting attacks to his quiet companion, punctuated by the occasional "salmon", "fish flakes" or "salmon roe". Yuuji spotted her and she groaned internally.
"Hey, Kugisaki! Wanna hear about my new technique?"
"Not right now. Read the room."
"Whoa, you look ... not so great. You okay?"
She grunted as a way of reply.
"What's up? You not feeling too good?"
As well-meaning as Yuuji was, he really didn't know when to step back from a situation. Nobara didn't have the energy to whack him upside the head like she usually did, though. To her horror, the constricting sensation in her throat was coiling like a vice, the burn behind her eyes growing stronger. A single, fat tear slipped traitorously from her lash line, tracking down her cheek.
Yuuji looked horrified, and Inumaki, eyes wide above his collar, was rooted to the spot, neither boy sure what had brought this on. Hands flapping helplessly, Yuuji took a step towards her.
"Uhh, Kugisaki? Was it something I said? I'm really sorry if -"
"It's not you, idiot," Nobara muttered, hands scrubbing furiously at her eyes.
"What's going on here?"
Oh, for the love of God.
She had learned to recognize that clipped, smooth baritone from the time the sorcerer in question had been designated as Yuuji's mentor on some missions when Gojo wasn't available.
Nanami Kento, grade one sorcerer, wielder of the seven : three ratio technique. Nobara didn't know much about the man, having interacted with him only a few times. She knew that he was strict, no-nonsense, a stickler for propriety and good conduct, rather dour and gloomy if what Gojo described was accurate. Used to be a salaryman. He certainly looked like the kind of man who could blend into any boardroom, with his tan business suit and perfectly parted blonde hair.
He was now eyeing her from behind those reflective shades, taking in her bedraggled appearance, the leaves and mud on her clothing and hair, the hand clutching at her abdomen, the tear-streaked face. She wondered, momentarily, if he was going to dismiss her as yet another weak, female sorcerer with aspirations far higher than her ability. The thought made a fresh wave of frustration rise in her chest, moistening her eyes once again.
Nanami turned, expression unchanged, and addressed the boys.
"You two go and get supper at the canteen. Kugisaki, with me please."
He began to make his way out towards the student dorms, not bothering to check if she was following. Grumbling slightly, Nobara complied.
"Don't need an escort," she muttered.
"I'm aware."
"Then - "
"How bad are the cramps?"
She stared at the back of his head. Nanami paused and turned towards her slightly, one eyebrow raised.
"Well?"
"Uh ... pretty bad."
"Hmm."
He resumed his walk, and she followed, almost in a trance. Nanami spoke again, voice quiet and measured, before she had a chance to put words to her query.
"I had a friend, when I studied here at Jujutsu Tech. He had a sister who he was very close to. He used to visit her in the countryside, and they looked after each other. He could always recognize when she needed help of this sort. He told me everything. I had no choice but to listen. He was ... a talker."
"Oh, I see. What kind of stuff did he mention?"
"Many things. The kind of tea that eased her pain. The stretches she liked to perform. The bath salts he used to purchase for her from the store at the shrine. The food she liked to eat."
In spite of herself, Nobara quirked a small smile.
"Sounds like ... a pretty good guy."
"He was."
She was silent for a minute, taking in the tense with which Nanami had referred to his friend.
"Did he - "
"Yes. Many years ago."
"Oh. I'm sorry."
"No need. We all know the dangers of this profession. Haibara knew too."
They'd reached the dorms and Nanami opened the door, motioning her through. Somehow, coming from him, the gesture didn't seem condescending. She stepped through and he followed, moving off to the side into the small kitchenette that was reserved for the students' use.
Nobara hovered awkwardly in the doorway, wondering what she was supposed to say next. Nanami was busying himself with the cupboards, boiling water and pulling open the fridge. He glanced over and she realised that, at some point, he had removed the shades that normally concealed his stern gaze.
"Go and get yourself cleaned up. Then come back to the kitchen when you're done."
"Um, sure. Goodnight, Nanami."
"Oh, and Kugisaki?"
"Yes?"
"You're a strong and capable young sorcerer. We all have moments of weakness. From time to time, remember to let yourself be. We are sorcerers, but we're also human. Sometimes, recalling that simple fact is enough to hold your mind together when nothing else will."
Nobara's throat was tightening once again, but this time, she felt little to no shame. She was beginning to realise that the sorcerers who were responsible for them knew exactly what they were talking about. No wonder he had come across as so perceptive. How many nights had he spent, alone, in pain, wishing he were stronger, better, wishing that the boy who once smiled alongside him was still amongst the living? How weak had he felt, back then? Had he wished an adult had said these very words to him?
"I'll remember that. Thank you, Nanami."
"Goodnight, Kugisaki."
After a long, hot bath, Nobara changed into her most comfortable pyjamas and slowly made her way back to the kitchen, as Nanami had instructed. As ridiculous as it sounded, she felt a small sense of nervous anticipation. What had he done in there?
Entering, the scent of something delicious made her mouth begin to water. There, on the stove top, bubbling merrily in a small cast iron dish, was a cheese and corn, green onions snipped neatly as garnish over the top. Covered dishes of miso soup and rolled omelette with diced vegetables stood to the side, still steaming slightly. In a pot on the stove, next to the cheese and corn, Nobara sniffed out something warm and herbal, some kind of tea blend.
Mood lifting immediately, Nobara set the table and dug into the food. As simple as the fare was, it was exactly the kind of comfort food she had been craving. Right then, it tasted like a five-star meal to her.
As she polished off the last of her food and gathered all the dishes together to wash up, she noted that her cramps had eased considerably, probably due to the warm bath, the medication and her satiated appetite. Soap forming soft suds under her fingers, Nobara surprised herself by humming slightly.
Nanami had certainly turned out to be different than she'd expected. From the little she'd seen of his interactions with Yuuji, she had assumed that he was quite a cold person.
She remembered, in that moment however, that Yuuji had never had a single bad thing to say about Nanami. Granted, Yuuji was one of the most accepting and easy-going people she knew, but there was a certain admiration and respect evident in his voice when he spoke about Nanami that she hadn't noticed in his descriptions of other people.
She was beginning to see why.
Leaving the dishes to dry on the rack, she poured out the remaining tea and carried the cup to her room. The porcelain was warm, steady and comforting between her fingers, like his eyes had been in the dim light of the kitchenette. She had never seen him without his glasses before.
Growing up in that small village, Nobara had learned to prize a particular quality above all others, one that she would now add to the growing list of words she could use to describe Nanami Kento.
Kindness.

WAIT I ACCIDENTALLY PRESSED SUBMIT WKDNNDKSKKD.
My bad, I don’t know what to do… 😭 😭
Uhh, I’ll just continue you off here… (I’m so sorry).
Ahem. Mahito. My sworn enemy. Murderer of the love of my life. I will never ever forgive— but, oh gosh, why is his voice so… AHEM. I got distracted.
Mahito said this one thing that piqued my interest. Don’t remember the exact words but it was something along the lines of: “I’m grateful to you.” So interesting. We talked a lot about how gratitude was one of Nanami’s motivations, how it gave him purpose. And it came from the innocent/weak and his comrades. But this is coming from a curse 😬
I can’t really give an explanation as to why… because his interaction with Nanami led him to discovering domain expansion? Is that it?? I guess Mahito growing stronger is something he gets off of, the thrill of it and also identity shenanigans, but I do not spend time pondering over my mortal enemies 😁 (Just kidding… here I am… intrigued by Mahito and his stupidly cute voice… I still hate him… I can’t help but wonder… ugh)
The reason I find this so interesting is how at the end, Mahito is stronger than Nanami. When Mahito ends Nanami, I doubt that he remembers or acknowledges any of the gratitude back then. Specifically because he said to Yuji, “I’ll probably forget you in the future too.” Gratitude to Mahito is meaningless. I think that also just shows how different curses are from humans. Gratitude plays such a big part for a lot of human happiness. But not for curses.
I found Mahito’s philosophy very interesting, the way that he saw everything as pointless which led to him doing whatever he wanted to do. Which is killing people (my beloved 😭) and propelling the endless cycle of war between curses and humans. It reminds me of nihilism sorta kinda maybe IDK. Again, I just haven’t given it much thought because he’s Mahito…
Ah, you know what. This reminds me of Attack on Titan (🥸). Marleyans vs. Eldians. Each side is fighting for survival, so they can have their own world. They wanted the same things, have their own peaceful world, but it just so happened that they were on opposing sides with a long history of violence and racism. Same thing with curses and humans. They both want to occupy the world, live their own lives, but they just can’t coexist. Mahito doesn’t see any side as right or wrong. His choices and decisions are based on impulse and desire. The lack of empathy is what makes him realllly different from Eren but I think the vision is very similar. They both stick to one side and fight for it because that’s the side they were born into. It’s so cool how there are overlapping themes of endless cycles. Like either with humanity against curses or a divided humanity against itself.
In conclusion, I feel very frustrated, confused, mad, and intrigued about Mahito. UGH. How dare he have an amazing VA and also cause so much pain and suffering. UNFAIR. CRUEL. I dislike him but I don’t. Would I have disliked him more if I only read the manga and he never had a voice? 😐😑😐
(Side note, I also realized ep 13 was when Nanami actually actually acknowledged Yuji as a sorcerer. Now I have to draw more Papamin. Sigh. I swear, everytime the topic of Nanami is brought up, it evokes a physically sigh from me.)
Sighing to sign off,
courtney 💜💜
Hi @courtneedsleep ! I am the world's biggest procrastinator, both in the way you mentioned and with regards to work I don't like/have little interest in. When it comes to series, absolutely! I put things off when I know I will enjoy them. I have a whole list of shows (anime included) that I know are brilliant and have been putting off for some time now, all because I know I will love them and want to savour them properly!
So, essentially, I don't know when I will end up watching Paranoia Agent, Odd Taxi or From the New World, but I know I'll love them 🤭
I've actually been re-watching some of season 1 myself (ah, simpler times) and Mahito is genuinely such an excellent character (as much as I want to do unspeakably horrible things to him).
Mahito initially came across, to me, as something of a contradiction. He was evidently born from human folly, and shows great delight in manipulating and tormenting humans, as he does with Junpei. You could almost say that he uses humans in the same way that sorcerers use cursed tools. That's what they are to him. Tools to be used to further the ends of cursed spirits.
This is where Mahito struck me as being truly dangerous: his fight with Nanami. He comes across (as Nanami comments) as fickle, sadistic, immature, barely aware of the impact of his own actions and with the air of a child playing with and destroying their toys. What is doubly terrifying is the power that he possesses, leaving others at the mercy of his whim.
Mahito's power is also terrifying and, from my initial perspective, almost inappropriate for a cursed spirit like him. He is able to accurately perceive the soul, in spite of being an 'immature' spirit, and downright psychopathic (by human standards). His power, like you said, is heavily instinctual and relies on his reading of a moment, emotions or the way a person responds to things.
The moment when he 'thanks' Nanami also stands out to me. It's almost like a child thanking their parent for a new plaything, something that might increase their status or bargaining power on the playground. Naturally, the child won't remember that act of gratitude for long, over the pleasure that their possession brings, or the manner in which they use it. That's going by the standard of regular children, of course, and Mahito is anything but regular, let alone human.
When Mahito eventually kills Nanami, he feels nothing of normal human gratitude. As far as he is concerned, Nanami has played his part, has helped him achieve more power, and can now be disposed of like all of the other human 'tools' as a means of furthering the cause of cursed spirits.
Yes. Pretty callous and inhumane overall. As expected. But then, Mahito subverted my expectations. As the series progressed, I began to see what you described; the attachment to his comrades, declaring a clear purpose for cursed spirits on earth, bringing about the return of Sukuna, and creating a new reality beneficial to cursed spirits overall. Very similar to the Marleyans and Eldians, this shows two species that are determined to carve a place for themselves in the world, to declare their right to exist, but also not able to tolerate the existence of each other.
Mahito suddenly displayed characteristics that were so much more human. I could no longer think of him as 'just another capricious curse' with no real understanding of the havoc he caused. His attachments to his own comrades spoke very clearly of that fact that he understood just how sadistic and terrible his actions were, they were just directed at humans, and so, he simply didn't care.
He was able to be so carefree not because he was totally unhinged, but because he saw humans the way humans saw curses. If we think of it from that perspective, he killed Nanami, just as Nanami exorcised cursed spirits.
Is there therefore a difference between him and Nanami, as viewed from either side? Fundamentally, yes. Nanami is shown to offer comfort and compassion to transformed humans, even as he has to take their lives. He understands all too well the weight of taking lives; Mahito does not.
This is all too clear when he prioritizes taking out Nobara, someone who's technique is a direct threat to him. Mahito suddenly learns what mortal peril feels like, what it means to be on the receiving end. Unlike Nanami, who truly did expect to meet his death as a sorcerer, and fully understood the risks, Mahito was still a child playing in an adult world, albeit, a horrendously powerful and dangerous child.
It's also extremely clear later (I won't spoil things, because I'm not exactly certain where in the show you are) that he is terrified of Yuuji's single-minded pursuit of him and desire to eradicate what he represents. Mahito does learn the true meaning of fear, he does come to understand the weight of lives, he does come to understand his own smallness on the scale of things. As philosophical as he came across, he applied those concepts very narrowly, and in ways that were heavily prejudiced by his own conception as a cursed spirit.
Mahito is such a great character, a truly adaptable and ever-evolving antagonist, and he's just delectably detestable, isn't he?
(Side note: It WAS the first time Nanami acknowledged him as a sorcerer! Proud Nanamin. 😭 I love that he's so caring and compassionate to Yuuji without ever overstepping the bounds of what he believes is true. He won't give praise where it's not deserved. He's not a sentimental man given to overt displays of affection. He's blunt to a fault. Which makes the occasions where he DOES acknowledge the students so much more meaningful and precious).

RIP, Nanami’s favorite mug 😭
Seriously, Haitch, I don’t know how you do it time and time again, but that was another piece of brilliant writing! You have a gift for making everyday moments seem so special.
I can’t help but agree with what an anon said the other day — I’ve come to see your writing as a peek into your life with Mr. Haitch and wonder just how much filled it is with love that it spills into how you write.
Please don’t stop writing. Ever. It’s my happy place 🥹
Sending you buckets of love! xx
Honestly, while I write these fics very much with Nanami Kento in mind, marriage experience bleeds into my fics, and lends itself to the soft, natural, organic love that has matured into something intensely intimate. I like to think, anyway.
Writing it comes naturally to me because I live it, and I recognise how fortunate I am for that. The love does spill over. I imagine the reader loving Nanami and Nanami loving the reader, like this.
I'm so glad you loved it. Papamin has a really distinct part of my soul. With @mrhaitch's job now being educating troubled young teenagers, and almost all boys, it adds another element to this too.
☝️ 'the talk' catching Yuuji off guard like
If you'd like to read about Nanami Kento giving Yuuji 'the talk', please find it here! My latest Papamin fic, the first in a while!
Love,

Just wanted to drop by and say I adore your Cooking with Papamin series. I exchange headcanons with tumblr and irl friends esp about nanami (bc he’s the best) and somehow I always always imagine him with a quiet/shy little daughter in them? Something about him screams girldad. I love the personality you gave little Yuu, so grumpy and sweet. And gojo cat making an appearance as well is amazing.
bro... hold up... im gonna cry 😭 thank u so much omg!!!! Hopefully I get a chapter up soon for some more shenanigans also some flashbacks to emo nanami and businessman nanami. I loved all the dad!Nanami content on tumblr and a03, but I really wanted to do something that was a little more out there and working at a toy store with a solid demographic of kids from about 1-5 gave me absolute brainrot for what nanami's kid may be lmao. Lmao Yuu 100% can derail whole segments of my chapters and I end up having to write around her 😂 (I am unfortunately not immune to catorou propaganda)

I'm loving writing Papamin drabbles, I might make a whole Masterlist for them! Thank you so much for reading them. Such a good Papa, so cute 😭💕

lol so I wanted to finish at least half of this and I’ve done nothing. And now I have like five new fics I wanna write thanks to JJK 😭😭🤣
Au Canon Divergence where Yuji grew up with Choso and knows about cursed spirits
A silly fic where Yuji is under the influence of anesthesia and flirts with Megumi
A hurt/comfort with Yuji dealing with ADHD and being stupid
A Yuji came back wrong one shot and everyone being creeped out.
A crack fix it fic where the trio get their personalities swapped right before Shibuya and how that changes everything
Spoilers one where when Sukuna goes into Megumi, Yuji loses his memory and Megukuna kidnaps him Started
A crack ship Ariel and Megumi lmao
Wally West being reincarnated as Yuji Itadori with a twist
Ughhhhhhh why am I like this.
Fanfic ideas I want to write before I finally outgrow it (I feel it slowly happening)
- a Draco/Tom fic cause there aren’t a lot and I lowkey love this and why tf not, Tom comes to the future
- A time travel fix it (Cept chaos is a petty bitch and as such different things happen, Ginny won’t have the diary, different champions etc)
- go back and finish my Draco/Harry/Tom fic (they got forcibly bound during the triwizard tournament)
- a code lyoko soulmate au (different tropes for different pairings)
- a American dragon one shot. I just love that show.
- a sky high miraculous fic (enemies to lovers Marinette and adrien)
- Mai in the past time travel au (after the boiling rock she dies and wakes up in the past) debating if I have Azula for to and their both in the past like that epsiode of Family Guy where Brian and Stewie get killed by each other and meet up in heaven like heyyyyy
- a secret Santa Drarry (Harry gets a shitty gift while Draco puts his all into it feelings abound)
- Albus and Scorpius back in the past fanfic (after fighting off Delphani and Cedric they end up in the DOM during the fight)
- a Drarry with draco learning muggle things (after the war eight year) road trip to muggle Disney land Paris, watching Disney movies
- finish my butterfly effect au (Draco gets the diary whoops)
- a time swapping mha one shot (they switch places with their older selves heijinks insue)
- time travel mha dating reveal (I found this on someone blog, bakugo ends up in his past body for a day and accidentally kisses his future spouse whelp)
- maybe a young Justice fic (Wally west is best enough said)
- finish my stranger things fics (will crushes on Steve, Mike is not amused.)
- A will comes out the upside down three years later meets Jason write in time for Vecna
- stranger things road trip au where Mike realizes he’s been in love with Will this whole time, good thing everyone else assumes they’ve been dating the whole time
- stranger things au where will was forced to live with Lonnie after season 2, comes back season 4 a changed man.
Holy shit this is a lot lmao why am I like this 😭😭
